The next chapter is up! We officially made it to Chapter 10 of this story! Looks like Frieza and Angel are in quite the predicament. Stranded on an unknown planet, their pod destroyed, they will have to try and find another way off. Unfortunately, this may mean working together. In which for them, that's easier said than done. But what other choice is there? Enjoy :)
They were completely drenched, by the time they made it to a small cave within one of the mountains. After nearly getting struck by lightning a few times, they decided to fly lower to the treetops to limit their chances of being hit. The cave was dry and humid. But at least it gives them a chance to dry off. They could only hope this deluge ends soon, so they can resume their flight. But the more Angel thought about it, it didn't make much sense. Where could they fly to on this planet? There isn't any plan on how they can get off it yet.
Angel looked around the shallow cave, which appeared to be uninhabited. When she turned back to Frieza, he was looking out of the cave into the raging storm that was brewing outside. A scowl decorated his features as he was deep in thought trying to figure a way out of this mess. The rain was coming down so hard that it made it challenging to see anything. It kind of reminded her of being behind a waterfall. She can only wonder what this place is. It looked very similar to earth. Minus the big regenerative dinosaur monster. It made her think what other creatures lurk here.
She wanted to ask him if he had any ideas. But at the same time, Angel figures he's still pissed at her. And the last thing she needed right; now was to incite another scuffle with him, like back on the sandy banks of that lake. It was because of that, she decided to remain quiet...for now at least. He didn't appear like he wanted to talk at the moment either.
There was silence for the next five minutes until Frieza decided to speak.
"I hope your happy. Because it appears we will be stuck on this backwater world for quite sometime. I'd say the only solution would've been to try and salvage that pod. But neither of us are technicians, so it's not like either of us could repair it." He informed her.
Angel narrowed her eyes. "Like I said, we wouldn't have been in this mess, if you would've just left me alone back on earth."
He finally turned his gaze from the storm and back to her, flicking his tail in annoyance.
"I do what I must to accomplish my endeavors. For a long time now, I have been looking for ways to travel to other universes and dimensions in time. When I heard of you, that became my biggest opportunity. You can blame me for this all you want. But just remember one thing. Everything I did was carefully planned out over time. Whereas you acted impulsively and rash with your plans. It was that impulsivity that got us stuck here." He said, accusingly.
Angel clenched her fists so hard they turned almost chalk white. She was pissed at him, but mostly she was angry with herself. Because she knew he was right. She didn't think her plan through and rushed into it. She disagreed that it had to do with being impulsive and more to do with fear. Afraid of what he was going to do to her once he came back to her cell.
She sharply turned her gaze back to the ongoing storm outside the cave entrance.
"It doesn't change the fact, that I shouldn't be in this universe to begin with." She muttered under her breath.
"How did you end up here?" Frieza asked.
Angel sighed. Might as well tell him. What's the point in keeping that a secret when he already knew before he captured her that she was from another universe.
"Found a Daigon Sphere during a jog back home. Of course at the time, I didn't know what it was. The orb was off to the side of the trail, half buried in the leaves. All I did was knelt down to touch it. Next thing I know, I find myself on Lord Beerus's World." She said.
He took a step towards her. "You mean you already had one with you?"
She shook her head. "No, it shattered not long after I got here. Destroyed beyond repair. Besides if I still had it, you think I'd still be here? I would've went back home a long time ago."
Frieza crossed his arms. "Why didn't you try and look for the other remaining orbs then?"
"Didn't know where to start looking. Like you said, this universe is vast, with many planets. Can't imagine how long it would take to search for them. Probably a lifetime at this point." She told him.
He arched an eye ridge. "You mean to say, you didn't ask Beerus and Whis to go look for it? Surely, it wouldn't take them too long to find it. At least they would've found it before any mortals could."
She furrowed her brows. "If that's the case. What makes you think we could find it any faster?"
Frieza smirked. "You really don't know anything about your race do you? All Kandusai have a proclivity for magic to an extent. If we were close, you should be able to sense it to a degree. Why waste time blindly searching whole planets? When you would be able to sense if one of the spheres were taking up residency on one of them?"
Angel rolled her eyes. "I doubt that. I'm still getting the hang of sensing and distinguishing others ki signatures, let alone magic spheres. Plus, I wouldn't know what kind of signal I'd be looking for."
"I think you would know, if you got close enough to it. Did you not feel something when you found the first one?" He asked.
"No." She said.
Though in truth, that was a complete lie. When Angel happened upon that sphere, she was mesmerized by it. Her whole body tingled and vibrated as some indescribable supernatural feeling like magic passed through her. But she was not going to let him know that. Not when she thought she felt that same tingly feeling when she pulled herself out of the water. But shrugged it off, as it was faint and gone moments later. She written it off as nerves. And that's what it most likely was.
He narrowed his eyes. It was like he was trying to see if Angel were in fact lying. Hopefully, he didn't pick up on it. She was pretty quick, if not a little too quick to say, 'No' after he asked. But she stood her ground and tried not to look away from his stare. Because looking away from someone was usually one of the biggest hints that someone is lying to you.
"It's not going to do us any good now. Not when we are stuck on this world. It's better if we concentrate on a way of getting off this planet. After that nice little encounter on the shore. I can't imagine what other lovely animals inhabit this place." She told him.
"Perhaps there are natives here we can ask for assistance. Before we were delayed by the weather. I sensed faint multiple energies in the distance. Though by distance, I meant that they were very far away. Which leads me to believe this planet is quite large. It could take us some time before we find anyone. Especially, if they are on the move and not staying in one place. It seemed like the energies were drifting further away earlier." Frieza informed her.
Angel groaned. "Great. And neither one of us thought to bring camping gear before we got here." She said, with a hint of sarcasm.
The tyrant tried to simply ignore the jab. Instead, he could only wonder how much longer this storm will last. He was starting to get impatient waiting around. Unfortunately, all they could do is just that. If they were to go back out now, the downpour would just hinder them. They would also have to keep dodging lightning bolts on top of that.
Angel went to the other side of the small cave and sat down. She leaned back against the cave wall, tilting her head back to look at a cluster of stalactites hanging from the ceiling. This place kind of reminded her of when she and her family would visit Ashville, North Carolina. The mountains there were beautiful and very fun to hike. The guides would take them into some of the taverns, that looked a lot like this. Just thinking about her family caused the fissure in her heart to grow a little wider.
She missed them so much. Apart of her was wondering, if she really ever was going to see them again, or if this was goodbye. Angel closed her eyes as tears started to build up. She tried forcing them back down. Because the last thing she wanted was to let this asshole see her cry. He'd probably taunt her and never let her hear the end of it. But she just missed them all so much. If only she could see them and know they were alright. Then that at least would put her mind at ease.
It seemed like they were in that cave for hours. Which in part was the truth, as the sky darkened into night outside. The rain let up a little, but not much. At this point, Angel is almost regretting not eating that slop back on the ship. Because now she was starving. Frieza finally sat down a little while ago. He was sitting on the opposite side of the cave, facing her. Which in her opinion was not far enough. This cave was so small that the other side was only a mere ten feet away. If she had to guess, it was only ten feet wide and fifteen feet long. It narrowed as it got closer to the back.
"Wonder if anyone is looking for us." She said to herself.
"Even if they were. They wouldn't know where to look. I doubt many people know of this world. In fact, I wouldn't be too surprised if we are the first ones to stumble upon it. It's clearly a very habitable planet. Which would go well on the market." Frieza said.
Angel gave him a dirty look. "Then it's a damn shame you had to be one of the ones to happen upon it. Just another world waiting to be wrecked."
"I don't wreck every single planet I discover. There have been quite a few in the past I have sold in primary condition. I only took out the pests that were reluctant to give them up." The emperor said; nonchalantly.
Right now, Angel was resisting the urge to go over and deck the smug little bastard.
"Those pests as you put it, were people. And each one was better than you are in every way." She snapped.
Instead of getting angry at the insult he chuckled.
"Somehow I highly doubt that. Many of them were hardly all that advanced or civilized. If anything they were rather primitive." He said.
"Yet, your the one who acts like a savage. So in terms, I still fail to see how that makes you any better." Angel said, louder this time.
Since she was starting to struggle holding her anger in.
He smirked, crossed his hands behind his head and leaned back against the wall.
"You still fail to see my power? Then that is truly sad. Guess you were right when you clarified your not so good at sensing another fighter's ki signature." He said, mocking her.
"Fuck yourself! Your just a pintsize egomaniac with a god complex and an ego the size of fucking Jupiter! Who needs to get over himself and get a fucking life!" She yelled.
In an instant Frieza was on her, caging her in with both arms on either side of her.
"I can now see why my ancestor wiped your mongrel race out. I wouldn't have been surprised if they were as mouthy as you. Perhaps I shall teach you another lesson on how to learn your place." He spat.
She wasn't deterred by his threat. "Fine, then we can have impulse control problem added to your description. Which only proves further how seriously flawed you are."
Frieza leaned in with a sneer. "I maybe flawed, as you so eloquently put it. But at least I belong in this universe, whereas you don't. By standards, you shouldn't even exist. But as far as procreation goes, your kind was just as bad as those monkeys. So tell me, how does it feel to officially be the last of your kind? Knowing you don't belong anywhere?"
Angel looked away from him as he taunted her. She will never admit it to him. But being the last, did give her a sense of loneliness. And in some ways, she felt like a freak. She felt rage and hatred toward the tyrant. It was all his fault. His disgusting ancestor killed off her whole entire race, discounting a few lucky ones who escaped before the planet's destruction.
"I hate you. Your whole bloodline is nothing but a disgusting disease. Nothing but genocidal murderers. It would've been better off for everyone if you just stayed dead. At least the fairies and stuffed animals loved your company. Unlike the rest of us." She said, trying to swallow down the lump in her throat.
She heard cracking sounds on either side of her. And noticed he dug his fingers into the granite. A vein started to pulse on the side of his temple. If Angel didn't know any better. It looked like he was on the verge of snapping and killing her. There was no way she could stop him too. He still had her caged in, with nowhere to go.
Instead, Frieza leaned in again and spoke in a low, dangerous tone.
"You don't know how much I would like to kill you right now. But sadly, it looks like you can prove rather useful while stuck on this rock. And unfortunately, we may have to work together to get off this world. But I will tell you right now. You keep wagging that mouth of yours, I'll make sure your death will be slow and painful once my use of you has ran out." He threatened.
A new wave of anger hit her.
"Not if I kill you first." Angel gritted out.
Amusement flickered in his blood red orbs. It felt like he has just been challenged. And if there is one thing the evil emperor could never pass up; is a good challenge. And this was one, that is bound to last throughout their reluctant alliance.
Let the games begin. Odds are both Frieza and Angel are going to go out of their way to make each other's lives a living hell during this journey. In which, it will be one that last longer than either one of them could ever expect. Because Frieza was right when he guessed this place to be a large planet. The planet in question is in fact, twice the size of Jupiter. So if the planet Jupiter is roughly 43,441 mi in diameter. Than this planet is roughly 86,882 mi in diameter. So they're going to be traveling for quite a long while. Until Next Time ;)
