After

Draco Malfoy never saw Hermione Granger naked again.

After the war ended, things were complicated. Everyone who was a death eater was jailed, but the Order of the Phoenix was much more complicated. Technically, the Order was a rebellion against the Ministry of Magic. As the Ministry rebuilt itself, every member of the Order was questioned about their actions. Great pressure was placed on those who had defected from the dark side. Draco Malfoy was sent to Azkaban for his work for Voldemort. The only people seemingly exempt from inane questioning were the Golden Trio. Still, they often offered themselves up as witnesses and vouched for those involved in the Order, including Draco Malfoy. Hermione especially defended him vehemently. It was four months before they saw each other again.

Eventually, trials were held. Hermione was lucky. All of the Death Eaters involved in her capture and torture were sentenced to life in Azkaban. This was not closure for her. Still, she spent her nights engulfed in nightmares of her time in Malfoy Manor. On nights that were more peaceful, she spent her time tossing and turning in a fitful sleep as she thought about a boy with grey eyes and white blond hair.

Eventually, Hermione started to see a mind healer to discuss and address the ordeal she had gone through in the dungeons of Malfoy Manor. She cried for days after her first session, but each time she went, she felt a little lighter. She felt a little more healed. She felt a little more capable of working through the pain.

Eventually, they were reunited. After much badgering and testimony from nearly every member of the Order of the Phoenix, Draco Malfoy was cleared of all charges for involvement with the Death Eaters. Years later they would even go so far as to call him a war hero.

On the day he was released, she was there waiting for him. Draco couldn't believe his eyes when he saw Hermione Granger standing outside the walls of Azkaban, waiting for him. He went to her and took her face in his hands.

"You came," he whispered, in awe of her smiling up at him.

"Of course," she told him. "You came to rescue me. It's only fair I return the favor."

They kissed then, strong and true.

She brought him back to her flat, made him a cup of tea, and told him he was welcome to stay as long as he liked. He scrunched up his nose and told her he didn't think he should stay there very long. The flat was small and cramped and in a bad neighborhood. "I don't think it exactly fits me," he told her.

Eventually, Draco bought a house. It was big and grand, with miles of gardens and land behind it, though it was nothing compared to Malfoy Manor. He furnished it and decorated it to his liking, though he kept a certain witch in mind.

Eventually, Hermione told Draco the details of what happened to her in the dungeons. They held each other and cried. He whispered in her ear that she was okay, she was safe, they were gone. She smiled at him through her tears and told him that she knew she was safe, so long as he was by her side. He told her over and over how sorry he was that people he was close to, friends and family, had been complicit or active in her torture. He apologized for his parents, especially his father. She kissed him and told him it was okay, it was not his responsibility to apologize for such things.

Eventually, after a long wait and an interesting wedding ceremony and reception, Draco Malfoy got to see Hermione Granger-Malfoy naked for the first time. He couldn't help but think that this woman was worth every second of waiting and wondering. She still wasn't fully recovered from what had happened in the dungeons of Malfoy Manor, and maybe she never would be fully healed. But she was able to put it behind her and enjoy the life they shared to the fullest.

A lot of you were worried that they wouldn't end up together because he never saw her naked again. But I used wordplay my friends … Anyways! I have a much darker ending to this story that I'd like to write, but only if you all are interested in reading it. Let me know what you think. Otherwise, this is the end of the road. Thanks for all your support, I really enjoyed this story.
