Near a lake, Naruto was happily swimming around as he smiles to himself he was wearing a orange bathing suit as he was enjoying the water. "Ah this feels great, I'm loving the feel of this water on my skin, today is such a great day for a swim." Naruto says to himself while Inuyasha sat in a tree relaxing feeling board, they had been away for three days now away from the village to keep searching for the shards of the shikon jewel and yet they have to find a single shard.
"We've been away for three days now. You said if we left the village we'd find more jewel pieces out here in musashi." Inuyasha says to Myoga whom was sitting next to him. "Yeah yeah sure whatever." He said to him as Inuyasha knew he wasn't listening to him at all. "Are you listening to me or what?" Inuyasha asked him as Myoga tries to make an excuse but Inuyasha had a feeling that he was simply checking out Naruto and wanted an excuse to see him get wet.
Since he knew that even though that Naruto was a boy he looked like a girl and perverts especially Myoga had a problem keeping their eyes off of him he didn't know why but that seemed to bug him a lot. "Listen you..." Inuyasha says as Myoga then hops away saying he was going to check on him making Inuyasha roll his eyes knowing all too well that he was just spelling out his death sentence.
Naruto may of been small but Inuyasha knew all too well how much of a violent temper Naruto had as he shuddered when he remembered how he had beaten Jaken to a bloody pulp. "You're just gonna get clobbered I wouldn't do that if I were you." He says to him but then Inuyasha noticed something speeding around making him chase after it as Myoga just believed that he was just trying to peep on Naruto.
Inuyasha speeds through the trees after the thing that was heading towards where Naruto was. Naruto then looks up and gasps in horror when he sees that his clothes are gone just as Inuyasha had just popped in as he lands on a rock. "Jeez would you not scare me like that? It's not what you think." Inuyasha says to him as Naruto shakes his head. "No it's not that, look my clothes are gone." Naruto says pointing to the spot where his clothes were. Inuyasha looked and saw that they were indeed gone and a monkey for some reason was darting away with them.
Inuyasha sees this as he wondered what was going on when he then heard a whistle being blown as he and Naruto went to go check it out. Meanwhile with a young boy almost around Naruto's age was waiting underneath a tree as a monkey hops towards him carrying Naruto's clothes. The boy smiles as he picks up his companion. "That's my good boy. So what'd you bring me this time?" The boy asked him as he digs around Naruto's clothes and finds his boxers making the boy confused.
"This isn't something to eat." The boy says as the monkey scratches it's head when the boy then felt a hand on his shoulder making him turn and sees blond haired boy smiling at him but he could tell he was angry. "So you're the pervert that took my clothes huh?" Naruto asked him as his voice sounded so sickly sweet but the boy before him could tell he was very angry he gulps in fear as Inuyasha almost felt bad for him...almost.
A few moments later the boy was sporting a bump on his head as he was bowing to Naruto apologizing to him. "I'm so sorry I didn't mean to steal your clothes, I just asked my companion here to get me some food is all but he sometimes has a habit of bringing me stuff I don't need at all." He says to him as Naruto was wearing his old clothes again as he raises an eyebrow a bit. "Well okay as long as you're not pervert, oh also if you're hungry I have some food on me." Naruto says and brings over his bag and opens it up revealing he had some chips with him which he brought back with him from his own time.
The boy smiles at him and took the chips while thanking him as Inuyasha just rested against the tree. "Oh Inuyasha I just remembered something I have something for you too." Naruto says to him as he brings out a bag of cookies since he wasn't entirely sure what to bring him. "I don't want it." He says to him making Naruto sighs as he opens the bag and eats the cookie. "Also if you don't have to bring so much junk then you won't have to carry it all the time." Inuyasha says to him with annoyance making Naruto roll his eyes.
"It's not junk it's food and other stuff I need like some clothes to change into and some some camping stuff in case we're gonna be spending the night outside." Naruto tells him while pouting a bit feeling somewhat annoyed with him.
The boy finished eating the chips and looked at Naruto. "Thank you so much for these chips, they were delicious." He says to him making Naruto smile at him. "You're welcome, oh I'm Naruto Uzumaki by the way I'm actually a shinobi and this is Inuyasha and well..." Naruto was about to introduce Myoga when he noticed the flea demon was drinking the boy's blood whom then slaps him making Myoga fall into his hand making Naruto and Inuyasha sweat drop. "And that's Myoga." Naruto says with a dead pan tone of voice.
The boy bows to Naruto. "My name is Amari Nobunaga, it's a pleasure to meet you." He says introducing himself to them making Naruto smile at him. "It's very nice to meet you, I actually should be off now I have a very important mission at the moment." He says to them making Naruto and Inuyasha curious. "What kind of mission?" Naruto asked him curiously making Amari look at him. "If you want I can tell you both on the way there if you wish to assist me." He says to them making Naruto interested.
When they arrived in a small village they saw a bunch of young girls being taken away from their homes to the castle nearby as everyone was talking among themselves wondering why this was happening. Naruto was carrying his bow and arrows as he and Amari and Inuyasha were hiding in t he bushes. Inuyasha wasn't happy about this and asked Naruto why they were helping him in the first place.
"Because he needs our help and we can't leave him alone." Naruto tells him making Inuyasha gained an annoyed look on his face he hated doing charity work he would rather be out looking for shards of the jewel. Naruto roll his eyes as he chooses to just ignore him. Naruto then heard the villagers talking about how the lord is possessed by a demon and is the reason why he's been acting so strange. Naruto frowns when he heard that. "A demon? So the lord here can be possessed by a demon? I wonder what kind of a demon it is?" Naruto thinks to himself.
Meanwhile in the Castle
A girl whom was a princess was inside a room pouring some sake for the lord whom was wearing bandages. "Ye like the castle life Princess?" He asked her making the Princess smile at him. "Yes my lord. I lack for nothing." She says to him as the lord drinks the sake through the bandages. "That's all right then." He says to her and continues to drink the sake but while doing this the princess decides to ask him the one question that has been circling around in her head for awhile.
"If I may my lord." She started making the lord looks at her. "Yes Princess?" He says as she smiles and continues. "The young women my lord, the ones your highness has so generously summoned here to the castle, may I ask where they are?" The Princess asked him making the lord stay quiet for a few moments and then drop the sake saucer and crushed it with one of his hands which was also covered up in bandages for reasons unknown. "You may not!" He yells at her and stomps his hands against the floor scaring the princess.
She then bows to him and begs him for forgiveness as he then walks out the room leaving the princess alone as she felt scared she wished someone would save her. Later on that night they were out back looking at the castle as Amari confirms that it's the place where the princess is as Inuyasha smirks when he smells a demon. "Huh. I smell the demon stink from here. There's a piece of the sacred jewel alright." Inuyasha says as he then bends down and looks at Naruto. "We better go and have a closer look. Jump on Naruto." Inuyasha says to him making Naruto nod his head as he climbs on Inuyasha's back as he could feel his heart racing.
He never knew why but when he felt close to Inuyasha like this he felt his heart was about to leap out of his chest as he could feel his face turning red a bit. "What's wrong with me?" Naruto thinks to himself while blushing. Kurama laughs inside the seal. "Aww it seems my little kit has developed a little crush on the half demon." Kurama says in a sing song tone of voice making Naruto's face turn into a even brighter shade of red as he begins to shake his head denying it.
"No I don't! I have no idea what you're talking about!" Naruto denied it but he couldn't help but feel that perhaps that maybe the truth. Kurama smiles a bit inside the seal he had known Naruto since he was a small child and had been with him since the day he was born and after he had met him that day when he was little Kurama couldn't help but see Naruto as his own kit and Naruto actually saw Kurama as his father figure which was why Kurama was happy that Naruto had developed feelings for Inuyasha since he could tell even though he was part human he was very strong and would be a suitable mate for his kit.
Naruto was then brought back to reality as Amari ends up getting a ride from a reluctant Inuyasha but eventually gives in after Naruto gave him the puppy dog eyes which he thought was cute. They jumped over the gate and into the castle yard as they looked around and see all the guards were fast asleep. "Strange why are all the guards asleep?" Naruto asked knowing something was off. "Did the demon do this?" Naruto asked out loud while looking at the castle making Inuyasha frown as he scoffs.
"Whatever the reason this demon most likely didn't want anyone to know what it was up to or have them see what he was doing." Inuyasha says making Naruto nod his head in agreement. They were then brought out of their musings when they heard Amari calling out for someone. "Princess! Princess Tsuyu!" He calls out and begins to search for her making Naruto look at Inuyasha. "You do realize we have to go after him to make sure he doesn't draw attention to himself right?" Naruto says to Inuyasha whom sighs and nods his head and they go inside the castle.
They looked around until they entered the room as Amari hugs an old woman thinking at first she was the princess but then when he looked at her face he cried anime tears. "Oh no princess what have the demon done to you?" He cries out making Naruto sweat drop while he was staring at the real princess. "Hey Umm Amari isn't this the princess?" Naruto asked him making him turn and dropped the old woman making Naruto wince. "She's gonna feel that when she wakes up." Naruto thinks to himself. Amari rushes over to her and tries to wake Tsuyu up but she wouldn't.
Suddenly Myoga appears once more when he heard someone say princess and then he latches onto her cheek and sucks her blood waking her up right away and slapping him as she sits up. "Amari?" She says with shocked when she sees him making Amari look at her with joy. "Princess Tsuyu, you remember me?" He asked her with joy as his face turns slightly red making Naruto know right away that he has a crush on the princess.
Tsuyu smiles at him. "Of course I do. I'll never forget. You and I were friends as children, and you were always so very kind." She says to him making him blush even more as the monkey seems to be blushing a bit as well. "I don't know what to say." Amari says sounding a bit flustered.
Tsuyu then smiles again. "I remember everything, how you'd slip and fall in the pond, how I'd laugh and laugh when you fell in horse dung." She says to him making him look down in embarrassment as Naruto tries not to laugh at that. Tsuyu then begins to cry a bit. "If only I could go home." She says sounding so heartbroken.
"Princess." Amari says as Tsuyu continues as she tells them about her husband's strange behavior and how it all happened after he had fallen into the garden pond and became sick and had changed completely overnight. Naruto and Inuyasha frowns when they heard that. They knew that the lord of the castle most likely was possessed by a demon of some kind. Tsuyu then turns to Amari and cries. "Nobunaga, whatever shall I do?" She asked him feeling very scared as Amari tries to comfort her. "There seems no choice. You must return to Kai. Even your father so far from here, has heard of the lord's derangement. Indeed, it was his wish I come that you might be returned to him." He says to her making her shocked yet so happy to hear that.
"You came on my father's orders?" She asked him as it seemed too good to be true making him smile at her while he blushes a bit. "Even if he had not ordered it, still I would have somehow have come." He says to her sounding passionate in every word he spoke making her smile at that. "Nobunaga." She says making him look at her with a fiery passion. "Yes my princess? I'm listening. He asked her he says as she looks at him in the eyes and says. "Nobunaga, there's a monkey on your head." She says pointing to said monkey whom was spinning a bowl on a stick.
Naruto watches this as he leans close to Inuyasha. "Where did the monkey get the bowl and stick?" Naruto whispered to him making Inuyasha shrug not really knowing either while questioning if the monkey was some kind of demon as well. Outside the hall the sound of footsteps could be heard which Inuyasha heard as he stands up. "Sounds like he's finally here." He says and smirks and walks towards the door. "You coming Naruto?" Inuyasha asked and Naruto stands up and follows him. "Yep sure am." Naruto says bringing along his bow and arrows which were still inside his quiver while he carried his bow in his hands.
Inuyasha and Naruto then stands in front of the lord of the castle when Naruto frowns while he stares at him. "I thought I heard something!" The Lord says making Naruto glare at the demon as Inuyasha cracked his knuckles a bit and brings out his claws getting ready to fight. "Yeah and it took you long enough. Let's go." He says and then charges at the lord whom tries to attack him with his very long tongue however Inuyasha jumped in the air dodging it.
"Let's see your true face!" Inuyasha yells out and strikes the Lord with his claws revealing he looked like a humanoid toad making Naruto's eyes wide at this. "He's a toad?!" Naruto says with shock as he couldn't stop staring at the demon. Tsuyu sees this and faints from shock and horror luckily though Amari caught her.
Naruto looks at the toad and his eyes widen he could see a piece of the shikon jewel inside the toad. "Inuyasha I see a shard of the jewel on him." Naruto tells him making Inuyasha smirk. "Yeah and a fat lot of good it's done him." Inuyasha says looking ready to strike again when Myoga appears. "Not so fast, Lord Inuyasha. He's the 99th toad of the 99th generation. He's stronger than he looks." Myoga warns him making Naruto nod his head in understanding keeping his guard up.
"Then one good punch oughta make it 100." Inuyasha says and goes to attack him but the toad then breathes out some kind of poisonous gas making Inuyasha fall to the ground coughing as Naruto covers his mouth with his hand while keeping his bow close to him. "Naruto! Toxic fumes, very dangerous." Myoga tells him. "Yeah I kinda figured that, this demon really isn't gonna be easy to beat." Naruto says and knowing it was gonna be even harder since it has a shard of the jewel on him.
As everyone coughed the toad demon approaches Amari whom was holding Tsuyu in his arms making Amari look up with shock and horror when he noticed the toad demon looking at Tsuyu. "Give me back my princess." He demanded and Amari draws out his sword while holding Tsuyu in his arms more than willing to lay down his life to protect her. "Stay back monster!" Amari yells at him making the Toad Demon glare at him. "Very funny. As though you could stop me human scum. The Toad Demon then stabs Amari's arm with his long yet sharp tongue injuring him causing him to collapse on the floor and drop the unconscious princess.
Naruto sees this as he runs over to stop him but it was too late the Toad Demon grabbed Tsuyu and jumps through the wall and escapes with her. "Princess!" Amari yells as Naruto rushes over to him. "Nobunaga, you're injured." Naruto says to him as he stares at his wounded shoulder with concern. "It doesn't matter what happens to me. Please you gotta save the princess." He begs him making Naruto smile and nod his head.
"Don't worry I promise we will bring her back here safe and sound you can count on us dattebayo!" Naruto says with his usual grin on his face making Amari smile at him feeling thankful to Naruto and Inuyasha.
Inuyasha glares the hole through the wall where the toad escaped feeling frustrated and annoyed. "Lousy, stinkin toad. No way is he getting away." Inuyasha says as he heard the princess scream making him growl as Naruto goes over to him Inuyasha looks at Naruto. "I'm going ahead." He says to him and darts through the hole where the toad is as Naruto lifts Amari up so he's riding on his back and uses his ninja speed to catch up with Inuyasha.
"Come back!" Inuyasha yells out at the toad feeling angry making Naruto sigh. "Oh boy that toad demon has just dug himself such a deep grave one he will never climb out of or see the light of day from once Inuyasha is through with him." Naruto thinks to himself while Kurama nods his head in agreement inside the seal.
Inuyasha follows the scent to where the Toad Demon is and uses his claws to slash through the door smashing it down while Naruto and Amari comes behind him making Naruto's eyes widen when he sees the sight before him. All the girls in the village including the princess were all inside tadpole eggs of some kind completely unconscious. Naruto watches with disgust as the Toad Demon happily rubs the tadpole egg where Tsuyu was trapped in as Naruto saw how scared she looked. "Myoga what's going on? Why are all these girls trapped inside the tadpole eggs?" Naruto asked the flea demon having a feeling he might know.
Myoga looks at Naruto and begins to explain to him what he was doing. "He sealed in her a toad spawn, young women are kept in egg sacs until their souls ripen, then eaten." He explains to Naruto which all made sense to Naruto and Inuyasha now on why this demon wanted all those girls from the village he was gathering them up to be eaten for dinner.
Amari gains a look of pure horror on his face. "You mean that thing is going to eat Princess Tsuyu?" He asked in horror making the Toad Demon laugh as Amari draws his sword and runs up to him to attack. "Not while I'm alive!" He shouts out but the Toad Demon was about to spit out more of his poisonous gas at them which Inuyasha noticed and went ahead and in front of Amari. "Poison gas! Watch out!" He yells out and draws his sword the Tessaiga just as the Toad Demon breathes out the poisonous gas at them.
Inuyasha then strikes the Toad Demon with his blade but then the Toad Demon yells out and saying he needed souls as the women's souls comes out of the eggs and he eats them up and his wounds heals. "What are you waiting for? For every cut you make I'll take another soul." The Toad Demon says mockingly to Inuyasha but while doing this Amari frees Tsuyu from the egg she was trapped in.
Once she was freed she looks at Amari and hugs him feeling so happy that he came to save her making him blush. "Wow he's got it bad." Naruto thinks to himself. The Toad Demon sees this and runs over to him in rage but was stopped when an arrow was shot in his path making him turn to Naruto whom was glaring at him and getting ready to shoot another arrow. "Leave those two alone you're opponents is with Inuyasha and I not them!" Naruto yells at him making the Toad Demon smirk at Naruto as he licks his lips. "Ooh you're very pretty your soul must be delicious." He says to him making the blond ninja shiver with disgust making Inuyasha glare at him and stand in front of Naruto protectively as he hits him in the head hard with his sword causing him to fall to the ground
But when he opens his eyes again they were blue and weren't filled with evil and malice as a new voice could be heard this time. "Princess Tsuyu, what have I...where...where am...please someone tell me this isn't my doing." He says to them looking at the young women whom were all trapped in the eggs making Naruto's eyes widen at this as so was Tsyuyu's whom recognizes the voice.
But Inuyasha wasn't buying it for a second. "Well, well, isn't that convenient." Inuyasha says while looking at him with an untrustworthy gaze. "That voice. It's the voice of my kind lord husband." Tsuyu says making Naruto know right away that the real Lord was still alive. The Lord was visibly shaking as he was horrified over everything the demon was doing. "It's like a nightmare. But I can't wake up. Somehow I knew, deep inside I realized what was happening. And yet I was powerless to stop it. I wanted to but I couldn't. Kill me please." The Lord begs Inuyasha begging him to take him out of his misery.
"Hmm?" Inuyasha asked with a raised eyebrow as the Lord continues. "I don't think I have the strength to stop myself." He says sounding so hopeless not wanting the demon whom was controlling his body to hurt anyone else. "My lord." Tsuyu says while looking at him with sadness while the Lord begins crying. "Do it now! Please before it's too late!" The Lord begs Inuyasha whom had no problem granting the Lord's wish. "All right. Now you're finally making sense. You want it in the gut or do I take the head?" He asked the Lord making but was rewarded with a smack on the head by a frying pan courtesy of Naruto whom was glaring at him as Amari stands in front of the Lord protectively.
"Inuyasha you're not going to kill this man he is possessed by a demon! Since we can hear his voice it means he's still alive which also means there's still a chance to save him!" Naruto yells at him as he was crossing his arms and looking at him with an angry look as he puts the frying pan back in his bag. Inuyasha rubs his head a bit as Myoga chuckles a little. "Yup this boy will make a fine mate and wife for Lord Inuyasha one day." Myoga thinks to himself as Inuyasha then reluctantly puts his sword away.
"Fine." Inuyasha says as he goes to sit on the side for now. But then right when he did the Toad Demon takes back control of the Lord's body as he then stabs Amari in the chest causing him to fall to the ground as The Toad Demon tries to capture the Princess again. "Naruto please take Princess Tsuyu and get her to safety don't worry about me." He begs Naruto whom nods his head and grabs the Princess's hand and begins to run with her while Amari grabs his feet wanting to do everything he can to protect the Princess.
The Toad Demon throws him off and begins to run after the Princess and Naruto. Inuyasha frowns and stands up to go after him since he knows the Demon is also after Naruto as well but on his way out he heard Amari begging him not to kill him. Inuyasha stays quiet for a few moments until he finally spoke. "I can't make any promises but if he can be saved then I won't kill him but if he even puts a single slimy hand on Naruto I won't hesitate to cut him down with the Lord still alive inside him or not." Inuyasha tells him meaning every word as he then goes after them.
While he was doing this Naruto was running with the Princess trying to do everything in his power to keep her safe. "Myoga do you know anything that can help us beat that thing?" Naruto asked him as the flea demon came up with an idea. "A monster toad is still just a toad. Try something hot." He suggested to him making Naruto look at him. "Hot? Like fire hot?" He asked him making Myoga nod his head. "That or anything hot even hot water, distract the toad and the lord can come out." Myoga tells him making Naruto nod his head in understanding as he then turns and pales when he sees the Toad Demon was heading straight towards them.
Naruto then heard him about that he was going to eat both of them making Naruto grinds his teeth a bit. "Princess do you know where we can find anything hot here maybe like a fire torch or something?" Naruto asked her as she tried to think when she then tripped and falls to the floor making Naruto stop and go over to her and help her up as he sees the Toad Demon getting closer. Naruto then looks behind himself and sees Amari's pet monkey running towards them with a burning candle in his hands making Naruto grin at that.
The monkey hops in his hands and hands Naruto the candle making him frown. "The candle is too small we need something bigger but what?" Naruto asked himself out loud when the Toad Demon tries to strike him with his tongue but Naruto grabs the Princess and dodges his attack making him fall to the floor as stuff falls out of his bag. Naruto looks and his eyes widen when he looks at what had fallen out. "That's it I can use the candle to light the fire works I packed." Naruto thinks to himself he had brought the fire works with him since he thought it would be cool to show Inuyasha them.
Naruto then grabs the fire works and lights it as Inuyasha appears. "Inuyasha jump!" Naruto yells out making him turn to Naruto as he sees him throw something towards the toad as the fire works goes off making explosives and fire which was really hot making the Toad Demon's eyes widen in fear as he then flies out of the the Lord's body and Inuyasha slashed his sword at the demon killing it as the shikon jewel shard comes down and Inuyasha grabs the shard.
Amari limps towards them feeling so happy that Inuyasha managed to defeat the demon and save the Lord. "Nobunaga." They all hear and look at Tsuyu whom was looking at him making Amari blush. Tsuyu then goes over to him as he thought she was going to embrace him but instead she embraced her husband whom was now free form the demon as she thanked him for saving him making anime tears come down Amari's face.
Hours later they were outside and sitting under a tree while Naruto smiles a bit. "With that toad gone all the girls were safe and were returned home which is a big relief. This would of never have happened if it wasn't for you Nobunaga?" Naruto asked him as he was silently looking out ahead.
"Oh come on. Say something Nobunaga." Naruto says to him smiling at him making Inuyasha roll his eyes. "Idiot. Even though he practically got himself killed, he went out of his to save the life of his only romantic rival." Inuyasha says making Naruto hit him in the arm. "Knock it off Inuyasha." Naruto says to him while glaring at the half demon he was trying to cheer Amari up and he didn't want him to upset him even more than he already was.
Amari then laughs a bit. "That's me all right. Amari Nobunaga world's idiot and fool." He says to them smiling a bit making Inuyasha scoff a bit after rubbing his arm a bit. "You are an idiot. But you also saved a lot of lives. So don't beat yourself up. There's plenty of others who will do that." Inuyasha says to him making Amari look at him and smile a bit as he stands up.
"You know what? That does cheer me up. Okay." He says and then begins to walk off but then Naruto noticed where he was walking. "Amari watch out you're gonna.." Naruto tries to warn him but it was too late. "Fall down that hill." Naruto says as Inuyasha sighs and shakes his head a bit. "He truly is an idiot." Inuyasha mutters a bit as he then turns to Naruto and sees him helping him up as he smiles at him and watches Amari walk off again with his monkey while Inuyasha turns away hiding his blush. He had to admit, Naruto was pretty when he smiles.
