Chapter 8: We meet again!

Tommy realized what he had done now, more embarrassed than ever he apologized to them and quickly took off from there. Both his friends stood there in confusion. Hurrying down the road, he bummed into Kira who was searching for him to give him the pep talk he needed. " Come with me Kira. Quick " said Tommy without stopping for a second, Kira was confused but she followed him. When Tommy got to a safe and a quiet place and he told about the awkward situation that he was in now. After listening to everything Kira started to laugh hard! " Hey this is not funny! I need your help!" Kira stopped for a second," Sorry Dr. O, I couldn't help it! you have messed it up! Poor people, they are soo scared and confused!" she couldn't hold her chuckle any longer, then she continued, " OK fine! I'll help you cover up! Fine whenever you see them just say that you were preoccupied. you were.. umm.. Aha! you can say that you were trying to help out a student in his psychology project!" "Oh My God! Thank you Kira! Thank you very much!"

When Principal Randal asked for the ending credits lines, Tommy came up on stage and said, " I would like to thank all the students who participated and.." He forgot his lines the moment he saw Kim sitting next to Jason and both of them looking at him.

"Dr. Oliver! please continue your line and invite the judges for the results!" Principal Randal said in a very rough voice. Tommy didn't show his surprise on hearing her voice, he cleared his throat and started all over again.

"I would like to thank all the students participated and to those who organized this amazing event, and further more I would like to thank all of our audience to take out time from their busy schedules to come and see the competition. Now I would like to call our judges, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Scott up on the stage along with the names of the winners of this competition." Upon saying this he left the podium and from the opposite side came Jason and Kimberly to announce the winners. After that he left the area to continue teaching his class.

The rest of the day went by normally. After dismissal, Tommy was heading towards his jeep when he heard a voice from behind him,

"Tommy! Hi! How are you man?"

Tommy turned around,"Hi Jason!" upon greeting Jason he saw Kim behind him,

"Kim, Hi! How are you guys?"

"Hi Tommy, we're fine! How are you?" Kimberly said in a soft voice.

"HOW ARE YOU!? We should rather ask him WHY ARE YOU HERE?! I thought you were a Paleontogogist man!" Jason came closer and closer to Tommy as he spoke.

"Yeah.Yeah, I am a Paleontologist, just..umm" Tommy was a little confused as to if he should tell them about him being a ranger again or not, after a short pause he continued, "just wanted to, you know, experience teaching "

"But you sort of already have that kinda experience, now don't you?" Jason asked.

"Umm..I am not sure what you're talking about? I haven't taught students ever before in my life!" Tommy was now confused as to what Jason just meant with his statement.

"Why? Have you forgotten all about teaching those children martial arts? You have taught soo many children, yet you require experience?" Jason stopped for a moment,"But WHY do you need it? what will you do with it?"

"Yeah.Yeah, I didn't teach hight school kid snow did I?" he paused, "gotta go! work calls. Bye!" Tommy took his quick and swift exit from their but he knew his problems were far from over. Atleast he was happy that for a few days he wouldn't have face them, they would return to school only when the contestants start to show up. Tommy took a breath of relief and went home to do his usual.
