Pansy stared at her reflection in the small hand mirror. The same pair of almond shaped brown eyes stared back as usual. She didn't look any different than she had before. Her long black hair shone in the light. It wasn't about how she looked, no, it was about something deeper, something the mirror couldn't show.

She wasn't sure who she was anymore. Once upon a time, she'd been Draco's on and off girlfriend. That had been her mark of pride, managing to snag Draco. Now, she realized he'd never actually cared about her, not in that way. She'd just been a girl he could write home about.

She'd been a girl at least, in the same way Draco had been a boy. She couldn't believe how blind she'd been to the real object of Draco's affection. She couldn't believe how blind she'd been to the world of possibilities in front of her own eyes. Things had changed so much.

Now, now the war was over and everyone was trying to sort themselves out. There had been so much lying. Draco was done lying about who he was and because he was finally ready to come out, he no longer needed Pansy. The thing is, Pansy realized, she didn't need him either.

Things had changed so much and Pansy realized that she had changed too. She quickly flattened her hair and shoved the small mirror back into her bag. She turned her eyes to the Quidditch pitch. Ginny had just landed her broom and was walking her direction.

Pansy knew Ginny didn't know how Pansy felt, she didn't know Pansy thought she was the most beautiful girl in the world. Ginny didn't know Pansy, not really. She didn't know Pansy liked taking risks and that tonight, Pansy was about to take the biggest risk in the world and ask Ginny Weasley to coffee
