"We're all going to die," Kagome huffed pacing to the tree line and back, tying her hair in a messy ponytail with a glare at Sango, "and then I'm going to haunt you in the afterlife."

"It's a simple sparring session, relax." Miroku tied the bandage off against his palm, it would do. He smirked devilishly and dropped the hand to Kagome's backside as she passed, ducking under her punch before holding his head at Sango's, "sorry my love, I couldn't resist."

Sango snorted and sighed, eyeing the teams trickling into the area with an arched brow, "wow Gai brought his team too…"

Kagome grumbled softly, kicking at the dirt with a shake of her head, "Sesshoumaru brought his too… everyone came out to see Team Tōga fall on their faces."

"Kagome, you stretched right?" Miroku chuckled lightly at the questioning glance tossed his way, "we're fully stretched from last night I thought that you might be as well."

He swallowed hard at the gleam in Kagome's eye that promised pain, stepping to the other side of Sango as the woman wrapped her wrists. Sango laughed at the glare she received, tying off the cloth and moving to pull her hair into a ponytail, did she really think she wouldn't tell her husband?

A small smile ghosted Kagome's face when she presented her back to them as she made her way to Naruto, ruffling his hair in greeting and frowning when Sasuke shoved her hand away from his head. Kneeling with a smile to the pink haired kunoichi, Kagome relented and gave her head a brief ruffle, she'd accept her only for Naruto's sake.

"Have you guys learned anything yet?" she questioned.

Sasuke gave his trademark 'hn' in answer, signaling he had closed off the conversation. "Not yet, but Kakashi-sensei said this is a good way to see how teams work, to watch others in action." Sakura informed her, casting a glance at the Uchiha with a giggle. Kagome resisted the urge to roll her eyes and ruffled Naruto's head again with a smirk upward to the jōnin, "well I hope so, maybe you guys will learn something today."

"Yeah! I've always wanted to see you spar, I bet you're great, believe it!" Naruto delivered a thumbs up as she stood with a glance over her shoulder as Tōga appeared in a swirl of dust.

"She is Naruto," Kakashi stated simply. Kagome's head whipped to meet his eye, failing to hide the smile that tugged at her mouth with his compliment, "I hope I live up to expectations."

"Wait… you two know each other?" Sasuke met Naruto's confused eyes before turning to bounce his gaze between the two adults. Recognition to what the question met flashed over Naruto's face, glaring up at Kakashi with a frown, "you better not touch her."

Laughing in mock nervousness Kakashi lifted his hands as Kagome turned to make a tactical retreat, oh she didn't envy the jōnin at all. "What's the plan?" she sighed arriving beside her teammates, Tōga's boisterous laugh carrying across the grounds as he conversed with his sons and fixed his ponytail, "start with… Cerberus?"

"Feign with Hydra then launch with Cerberus," Miroku tilted is head down. Sango nodded in agreement, "he'd be expecting Hydra anyway, we like to open with it."

"Three clones each then?" They took their places, Kagome rolling her shoulders back and clearing her throat, "as we do?"

"As we do."

"Alright," Tōga grinned and clapped his hands, as he approached; he never thought he'd see this sight again. Kagome held a finger up quickly for a brief moment to wait, pulling her oversized sweater off and tossing it behind her to her bag to reveal her longline sports bra, "figured take it off now before getting too hot."

"I'm not complaining," Miroku grinned and wiggled his eyebrows at her. Sango gingerly hefted hirakotsu over her back and nodded, "we're ready sensei."

"Excellent."

"Clone Jutsu."

"Here we go again," Sesshoumaru sighed, finishing his walk around the grounds to stand beside Kakashi.

"Um…" Sakura blushed as she sought out the voice, twisting her fingers together with a smile. 'Where have you been hiding?' she giggled nervously as golden eyes dropped to her in question, "sorry sensei but, what do you mean?"

"Tōga-sensei's former team, this team, would always open their sparring matches with this set up, it's called the Hydra maneuver." Kakashi explained, nodding to Inuyasha as he approached, "although I don't think they've ever used it as a disguise for their Cerberus maneuver."

"How do you know so much about this?" Naruto questioned with a critical eye, "you get taught by the old man too?"

"Keh, yeah right Kakashi used to watch them," Inuyasha grinned with a chuckle.

"Wow Kakashi-sensei, you're a weirdo."

"Watch it," Sesshoumaru shoved the genin to the side, the adults sidestepping Sango as she tumbled through where they stood. The match paused momentarily, Kagome appearing behind the woman as her hands glowed green. The collective breath that seemed to hold from those that knew the extent of the injuries sustained released when Kagome backed off and Sango stood, the pair darting back into the fray.

"I told you this was a bad idea."

"Bite me."

"What's the story with this anyway," Kiba questioned, waving his arm at the match. "Why's this such a big deal?"

"There was an attack on their last mission together," Kurenai explained, "Tōga retired and these three, his last students were grounded from their injuries."

"But," Ino cocked her head and winced at a painful looking kick to Tōga's side, "the one that healed, she looks alright."

"Not all injuries are physical," Gai slid his gaze to Kakashi, smiling at the blank stare he returned.

"What?"

"Oh nothing!" Gai inhaled deeply and felt a swirl of energy engulf him, 'so cool!'

"Is that where her scar came from?" Choji pointed at her ribs, "looks brutal."

'It was,' Kakashi perked when Tōga's foot swept under Kagome's and sent her to the ground, Naruto, Souta and Kaede moving together to call for a last surge of something to defeat their old sensei.

"What kind of attack grounds an entire team? What kind of shinobi are they if they don't get back on their feet?" Sasuke scoffed.

Kakashi and Gai glanced at each other, the Uchiha was going to be a handful, Kakashi determined. "Why don't you tell us kid," Inuyasha growled, "you should have experience in that department."

"Inuyasha!" Sesshoumaru snapped angrily, the brothers glaring at each other before the younger scoffed and turned away. Comparing the Uchiha Massacre and Naraku's attack were completely opposite each other and uncalled for.

"Their coordinated attacks are pretty good for not having done this in a while," Shikamaru noted, watching Miroku use a wind style to bring Tōga hurtling towards him before dodging the man. Sango stepped up with her boomerang, swinging and smiling at the puff of smoke.

"Why is she happy?" Hinata blinked.

"There," Neji retracted the Byakugan as Tōga emerged from the smoke and appeared behind the pair, weapons drawn for what the student's determine to be the final blow.

"Water Style: Water Dragon."

The dragon whipped around Kagome as she stood on the water, roaring for the man as he whirled in surprise. Tōga's arms lifted to signal his student's victory, ducking his shoulders as the dragon crashed over him.

"Kagome learned a new trick," Sesshoumaru mused.

"She knows the Ice Style and Earth Style dragon's as well," Kakashi commented.

"And she turned down jōnin," Asuma scoffed with a shake of his head, he couldn't understand it.

"That was most impressive!" Rock Lee announced into the silence, "Gai-sensei their youth hasn't left them after so long, is it always this way?"

"Well Lee when you train as they did it never really leaves, just lies dormant within until you bring it to the surface once more."

"Look Ino-Pig there's hope for you after all once you flunk out later," Sakura waved a hand at the clearing and laughed. "Oh that's sweet of you to care Billboard Brow…"

'Genin,' Sesshoumaru sniffed with a glare at the rookies, disappearing in a whirl of dust.

Kakashi waved his team on, their training had already been completed that morning anyway, even having tackled their first mission consisting of weed pulling. "We've got another mission tomorrow so be ready."

The bickering and talking lessened as the teams left as quickly as they appeared, striding closer to where Tōga was wringing his clothing out and declaring his pride. He stood off to the side, leaning against a tree and watched lazily, incling his head to Tōga when the older man glanced his way.

"I'm glad my teachings haven't left you all. You three were always my favorite team," he laughed gently, hefting Sango's boomerang onto his back.

"It was fun," Sango announced. Miroku too voiced his enthusiasm, hands clapped together as they both swiveled their eyes to Kagome where she sat on the ground.

"I remember it being easier when we were younger."

Tōga laughed at her announcement, ruffling Kagome's head happily and causing her to release her ponytail. "I've missed it."

"Kagome should work on her flexibility," Miroku commented with a shrug, casting a teasing eye in Kakashi's direction.

A scoff of disgust tore from the woman on the ground, tossing a kunai at him and shoving to her feet, "I hate you both."

"I suppose this is the part of the conversation I leave you, Sango I'll take this to your home for you." Tōga chuckled, hands in front of his face before disappearing with the large boomerang.

"We should go too," Sango backed away slowly with Miroku, turning their backs on Kagome when they were sure they were far enough away from her for retailiation.

Kakashi's eye followed them before glancing around and bending to grab Kagome by the arm, tugging her to her feet gently and swinging her around to hide behind a tree as she shouted in surprise.

"What are you doing?"

He shushed her gently, tugging his mask down to claim her lips. Her arms wrapped around his shoulders as she responded tentatively at first before her eagerness came out. Kakashi bent slightly to grab her thighs and lift, locking them around his waist as he deepened the kiss. Never before had Kakashi felt a longing for something so much as Kagome's kisses, they were a drug that he had to have, the day dragged on without one.

'I've turned into Minato-sensei,' he thought pulling away. "You told them?"

"I told Sango… I needed to talk to someone about things and…"

"I told Gai," he smirked with a shrug, "I thought I gave him a heart attack at first."

Kagome's head ducked with a forced laugh as she shifted to ease the bark digging into her back, stilling nervously when Kakashi hissed at the feeling of her heat over his member that awakened at the gentle motion. "Sorry," she murmured softly, the pink darkening to a pretty red.

"I should have known better," he responded, debating quickly if she would be willing before dashing the thought away, their first time was not going to be against a tree when he wasn't even sure if this was a cemented relationship. "Before this is taken too far," he purred carefully, leaning in to claim her mouth again. His hand cradled the back of her head, pulling back reluctantly, "I should probably do this right and not just have this be stolen kisses whenever we find time."

"What do you—"

He unwound her legs from his body, hands traveling the length of her arms to grab her hands and closing his eye with a smile, "Kagome, will you please do me the honor of going on a date with me?"
