Naruto Uzumaki, the 7th Hokage, stepped onto the stage, to wild applause.
"Thank you everyone, welcome to Konohamaru Sarutobi's Hokage Inauguration!
As you know, Konohamaru has a large passion for the village, that rivals even my own.
He may not be a decorated war hero, but he will protect this village with all he has, and all of us shinobi will stand by his side to do so as well.
He has seen much growth over the past year, and dedicated himself to learning as much as he can about our village, as well as fostering strong relationships with the other Kages.
I'd like to take this moment to thank Shikamaru Nara, Lady Fifth, Tsunade Senju and Lord Sixth Kakashi Hatake, as well as the Elder Council, for everything they've done over the last year to allow for my retirement, and Konohamaru's succession to Hokage. He'll do wonderfully.
Thank you to everyone who's passed on well wishes to myself and my family, as well.
Without any further ado, please welcome Konohamaru Sarutobi, your 8th Hokage!"
As Naruto stepped aside to allow Konohamaru to take the stage, after handing him the Hokage hat, of course, Naruto took a moment to take it all in.
Watching Konohamaru speak to his village, he was so proud of the man he'd become. Hell, he was proud of the whole village. Konohagakure had come full circle, and he was so grateful to be a part of it.
