Hey guys! Before we get started... HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMY!! I hope your day is fantastic! *Send virtual balloons* And you know what comes with a birthday… birthday cake! I have no idea what your favorite Marvel characters are so I am going to do Peter and Shuri making a birthday cake for T-Challa. Disclaimer; I don't one any of the marvel characters, sadly. Now *gestures with hands* ready on!

Ring! Ring! Ring!

Peter groaned and rolled over. He squinted at the name flashing across his phone. Shuri. Rubbing the sleep out of his eyes, he pressed answer, "There better be a good reason for waking me up at 6:30 on a Saturday Shuri."

"Oh Peter thank goodness!" Shuri's voice filled Peter's ears, "I have an emergency."

Peter was on high alert. "What is it?" he said, reaching for his spiderman suit in the corner of the room.

"Today's T-Challa's birthday and I can't bake a cake."

Peter blinked. "You can't bake a cake?"

"Nope."
"That's the emergency?"

"Yup."

Peter flopped down on his bed, "Just look up a recipe or something."

Shuri sighed, "I already tried that. Twice. Peter can you please help me?"

He looked at his alarm clock again. 6:33. "Umm I don't think asking Mr. Stark to give me a ride to Wakanda at 6:30 is a good idea. And I can't just walk."

"I'll come get you." Shiur said, the distant sound of a plane starting.

"Shuri."

"Peter."

Peter sighed, "I'll be ready in 10."

When they got to Shuri's lab, Peter just stared. There were burnt cakes, flat cakes, and just some really messed up cakes. There were ingredients everywhere and it smelled like something was burning.

"Ummm yeah so that happened…" Shuri trailed off.

"How long have you been trying?" Peter asked, his eyes still on the mess.

"Like since 2 am."

"Impressive," Peter mumbled walking over to the counter. He pushed off the eggs shells and empty flour bags. "Ok!" he said clapping his hands, "First things first. What kind of cake are you going for here?"

"I wanted a vanilla cake," Shuri said tapping away on her computer. "Something that looked like.. Aha!" She enlarged a picture of a black frosted cake with a black panther head. "Like that."

"Ok lets start with actually making the cake." Shuri brought up the recipe for a vanilla cake. "First things first we need to get all the dry ingredients."

They gathered the eggs, flour, sugar and salt. Then Peter started to add the sugar and flour while Shuri went to preheat the oven.

"You need to preheat it to 350 degrees. Not 500 Shuri," Peter said, giving her a look.

"Hey I thought it would go faster!" She protested.

Soon the batter was all ready to go. Peter stood back and watched Shuri pour the batter into the pan and stick it in the oven. Peter tried to hold back a laugh as he watched her. There was flour all over her face and in her hair and her tongue was sticking out in concentration.

After the cake was in the oven, Shuri turned to look at Peter, "What's so funny?"

"Nothing, you just look like a train wreck," Peter said giggling.

"Oh yeah," Shuri said, lunging for the flour. In a split second, the flour that was in her hand was all over Peter. "Who's the mess now?"

The next half an hour was spent throwing food at each other. By the time the cake was done in the oven there were eggs on the walls and floor covering both Shuri and Peter.

"You look like a ghost!" Shuri laughed, flour falling from her hair.

"I could say the same thing about you," Peter smiled.

Shuri went to the back and pulled out some piping bags and some black and white icing. They both put the icing in their bags and went to work. By the time they were done icing was all over the corner. Shuri and Peter stepped back to look at their work. The black panther on top was slightly diformed but not bad.

"Huh I think we did pretty good," Shuri said wiping off her face.

"You know for an amazing inventor, you really suck at baking cakes," Peter said, smirking.

"Hey!"

Okoye walked into Shuri's lab, adjusting her uniform. Her eyes widened at the scene before her. Nope not today, she thought before slowly backing out of the room.
