It was Thursday morning when Maggie was awakened by her phone dinging, she turned around to check on Jackson but he wasn't there. She through a rope on and made her way downstairs where she found him making pancakes. She walked towards him, stood on her tippy toes and gave him a soft gentle kiss

"Morning" she said after the kiss looking at him

"You were not suppose to be up until 7" Jackson said as he held her with her head on his chest

"My surgery got pushed for earlier, I see you are making breakfast"

"I wanted you to have breakfast in bed so you just ruined my morning" he said putting on a silly serious face letting go of her

"Oh really?" she said as she looked around "I promise to make it up to you"

"That`s okay, just go get ready and come eat at least before your surgery" he handed her a cup of his coffee. Maggie thanked him and just nodded making her way upstairs to go shower and get ready. She came back to eat and left for the hospital.

...

"I will go update the wife and I will send you that report right away" Link said walking out of the scrub room while giving Jackson a nod.

"Thank you, will check my mails as soon as I get a chance" Maggie said finishing drying her hands

"What report is he talking about?" Jackson asked moving closer to her

"Hmm" she mumbled as if she didn't hear his question. Jackson said nothing but he just raised his brow to let Maggie know he knows she heard him "Oh, it's a, you know, one from the conference we attended in San Diego" she said kissing him as they walked out.

"Do you think we can do lunch?"

"Actually I can't, I need to go get the rest of my things from Meredith`s"

"I thought we were going to do that over the weekend"

"Yeah I just need a few things and Amelia said she needed my help during lunch so I don't know how long it will take" Jackson dropped his head "I promise I will make it up to you" she said

"That`s okay, I have a late surgery today so I might be home late"

"I will come check on you before I leave, Amelia is texting me" she said giving Jackson a peck and the two went their separate ways.

...

Maggie found Amelia in the tech room studying some scans

"What do you got?" she said closing the door

"Motorcycle injury with no helmet"

"That's stupid"

"Yep, what about you?"

"Just finished a surgery with Link and I need your help like now" Amelia turned her head and looked at her sister who had her head buried on her phone "Oh my God!"

"What, what is it? Let me just send the scans to Tom so he can cover for me?"

Amelia finished what she was doing and the two sisters went to get changed to get started with their afternoon. They spent the most of it at the mall before they came back to the hospital. Amelia was called to the chief`s office while Maggie went to pick up some of her things from Meredith`s.

Jackson had finished his surgery very late and had joined Alex and Link for drinks. They were just chilling at their table having burgers and fries when the bartender approached with drinks.

"From that table over there" the bartender said putting all drinks in front of Jackson pointing at a table with a few ladies

"Oh no, we good thank you" Jackson said

"Come on Avery, it's just drinks, we will take them" Alex said to the bartender. Jackson said nothing but shot Alex the look. "Hey, we got to hook Link over here so just take one for the team"

"Oh no, I am good in that department thank you" Link said as he wiped his mouth with a napkin after finishing his burger.

"Are you seeing someone?" Alex became inquisitive

"No not really, well at least I hope so but I don`t think she feels the same way"

"Well it sounds like it's not serious so you should keep your options open"

"Alex, just live it alone man" Jackson said reprimanding him.

"Well he doesn't know what he wants so I am going to go get it for him" Alex said approaching the table from where the drinks came from. Jackson said nothing but just shook his head.

"Is it Amelia?" he asked casually while Link shot him with a stern look

"Yeah, -wait -how did you know?" Jackson said nothing but he just gave him that look of saying I am with her sister so I know "of course you would know, I don`t know how she feels though but I do like her. I know she just got out of a serious relationship and that's okay"

"You really like her don't you?" before Link could respond Alex walked back to them. They continued chatting for a few minutes until Jackson said "you know what, I think it's time for me to go home"

"Come on Avery let`s play some darts. I invited them so we can play as a gesture to say thank you"

"Okay, just one round and I`m out"

The four ladies moved closer and joined them. They started playing while one of the ladies kept drinks coming insisting it was all on her. A little while in the game Jackson checked his watch and then called Karev to the side

"I am gonna go home now okay"

"Okay man and oh thanks for the free drinks, will see you tomorrow" Alex said.

"I didn't buy any drinks, are you drunk already" Jackson asked him while Alex didn't respond instead continued playing. He walked away signing Link that he was off. There was one lady who kept eyeing him but Jackson kept ignoring her even though he could see from the corner of his eye that she was clearly trying to flirt with him. They had introduced themselves but Jackson never bothered to keep their names in his head. She quickly followed Jackson outside "hey Jackson" he turned to look back, he wondered how she knew his first name since he never mentioned it to any of them. He frowned a little as he looked at her, she then said "you leaving so soon?"

"Yeah yeah, I got to work early tomorrow and thanks for the drinks by the way"

"Sure thing and don`t sweat it" the lady said with a smile on her face. Jackson smiled back a little and said "bye" walking away from her. She watched him walk away and said in a low voice "see you around Mr Avery" and then walked back inside. He got home late and found Maggie already asleep. He didn't want to wake her so he just showered and slept

Maggie had woken up a little earlier, she knew Jackson had worked till late so this would be a perfect time to redo his breakfast in bed he had tried for her the day before. Jackson was still asleep while Maggie set everything up. She had made French toast, spread a large dollop of ricotta on it and coated with a bit of mash raspberries. She had sprinkled some basil, fresh raspberries and dusted with icing sugar. The food looked amazing with a glass of fruit juice on the side. She put Jackson`s tray on his side and decided to wake him up by playing some soft music. He slowly turned from the sound of music only to be met by Maggie`s beaming face. From the days she spent at Jackson`s, she usually used his T-shirts as her pyjamas because of how comfortable they were. Since she hadn't gotten most of her things over she just continued the trend of being in his shirts in the mornings. He slowly pulled her towards him and she obliged.

"Breakfast in bed huh, you look good in my shirts do you know that"

"I know and they are so comfortable, I told you I was gonna make it up to you"

"This looks nice, French toast, I thought you didn't know how to make it"

"Well I tried my best even though it wasn't perfect" she said with a smile "what time did you get home?"

"Very late, the surgery went great, went out for drinks with Alex and Link"

"Did anything interesting happen?"

"No not really, except for Alex who was trying to set Link up with some ladies"

"Well that`s Alex for you, I am sure he tried setting you up too" Jackson said nothing but just smiled pulling her in for a kiss "come on we got to eat" Maggie said pulling away from him

They enjoyed the breakfast in bed with Jackson asking Maggie to stay in; Maggie had a few post ops she needed to check on. She agreed to go in a bit later only if he goes with her. As they finished eating Jackson grabbed her once again and whispered to her ear

"How about dessert, you know you can`t have that kind of a meal and not have dessert"

"Wait" Maggie said as she held his head away from her. He wanted her so bad but she was being a tease.

"Oh come on, you not being fair to me babe, you can`t leave me hanging like this" he said playfully

"Okay, I got good and bad news so which one do you want first?" he raised his eyebrow looking at her.

"Let's start with the bad news" he said preparing himself

"I can`t get my things this weekend because I don`t think I will be able to"

"Okay, have you changed your mind about living with me" he said in a low voice leaning back on the headboard

"No, because the good news is...we are going camping over the weekend!"

"What! –How -I mean -are you serious right now?" he said looking at her as if he didn't believe her. She just nodded her head while Jackson stood up and lifted her up spinning her around on top of the bed "babe you hate camping" he said putting her down as if he just had an epiphany.

"Yeah but I love you more than I hate camping" he kissed her passionately "how did you pull that off without me knowing?"

"Well, remember the report that Link was sending me. It was him helping with everything camping" he stared at her for a while as if he was examining her

"Is that why you couldn't lunch with me?"

"Yeah, I needed Amelia to help me"

"And Link didn't even say a damn thing"

"I asked him not to tell you"

"And how was it to keep something like that"

"I just realized that surprises are not my thing because from the moment I lied about what Link was sending me, I felt like I was dying inside. I think I would have probably ended up telling you anywhere"

He drew her closer to him and said "you don`t know how much this means to me, you willing to go camping with me even though you hate it"

"After all I put you through and the way you never gave up. It's the least I could do" she said smiling at him as their interlocked.

"Thank you" he said lifting her a little and slowly made her to lie down on the bed, he started climbing on top of her, the two then slid under the covers with Jackson whispering in her ear "I think it's time we have ourselves that dessert, what do you think?"

I just wrote this chapter as a filler we all know Maggie doesn't like camping but she loves her man.
