Fitted Sheets
All of the Titans bedrooms had just been finished. After about a week of living together in the common room, they were all more than happy to have their own space. Raven especially. Beast Boy and Starfire just couldn't seem to help themselves around her things and would touch everything. So needless to say, she was excited to finally have her own room.
Now having your own room and having it set up are two different things. As of right now, they only had their rooms finished. Nothing more. No beds, desks, bookshelves, dressers, nothing.
Beast Boy was the first to complain about not having a bed yet. He just got glares and comments about how he should be thankful to have his own room. His room was needless to say, a disaster. With everything skew all over the room, it was a miracle you could still see bits of the floor.
Starfire was the next to make a comment about being confused as to why her room was empty. It took a bit of explaining for her to understand that in order to have a room fully set up, they had to order the furniture first. Her room was also a bit of a mess but still on the neater side.
Cyborg already had his room setup since he didn't need any furniture, just his charging station and other mechanics with some other small personal things.
Raven's room was not fully a disaster, but not necessarily tidy either. She had everything on one side of her room except for some books by her sleeping bag, some clothes that Robin gave her, spell ingredients, and plants by her window. Everything else was in boxes neatly to the side.
Robin's room could rival Cyborgs for neatness. All his clothes were neatly folded by his wall, weapons both in a box and in the corner of his room, sleeping bag neatly made in the center and everything else stacked in boxes off to the side.
Today was the day when some of their furniture was coming. For the past few days they have all been looking online at IKEA and picked out beds, mattresses, desks, dressers, and whatever else they felt like they needed.
Robin was in the main room with Cyborg looking at some light fixtures when the doorbell rang.
As they neared the front door Starfire came rushing down the hallway, alerted by the doorbell.
"Friends! Do you think my clothes housing has arrived?!"
It took a few seconds for Cyborg and Robin to process what exactly she was talking about.
"Are you talking about your dresser?" Cyborg asked, unlocking the door.
"Yes, that is what I meant." She nodded floating by the door eagerly waiting to see what came.
Cyborg opened the door and looked at the poor delivery boy struggling to bring up all the boxes. "Woah there, you need help?" Cyborg walked up the boy who looked like he was going to topple over.
"Yeah," he strained, "that would be amazing."
Starfire and Robin joined Cyborg in helping the boy bring stuff to the entrance. With Starfire and Cyborg's strength, all of the boxes were brought in fairly quickly.
As the last box was deposited in the entrance room, the three Titans urged the boy to sit down for a bit.
"Thanks for letting me stay for a minute." He said sitting against the wall.
"It's the least we could do." Robin smiled looking at what has been delivered, making a mental note of what they were still waiting on.
"Yeah, not to mention it's like almost 100 degrees out right now. Stay here as long as you need to." Cyborg patted the boy's shoulders and handed him a water bottle.
"Thanks." He smiled, taking the offered bottle. "My names Even by the way."
"Nice to meet you dude! I'm Cyborg, that's Starfire, and that's Robin"
Starfire waved and left the room in search of markers to label the boxes and Robin looked up at the mention of his name and smiled at Evan before looking back at the boxes.
Evan blushed deeply and looked interestedly at his water bottle, trying to force the blush down.
Cyborg, seeing the whole interaction, smiled. "Do you want to help us label these while we open them? It would really be a huge help."
"Yeah sure." Even walked over to where the pile of boxes were.
Starfire came back into the room with four markers and handed everyone one.
"You can work with Rob, he'll tell you who's is who's while Star and I unpack them." Cyborg smiled pushing a blushing frozen Evan to a smiling Robin.
They worked in a comfortable silence with the occasional "Raven, Robin, Beast Boy, or Starfire" and the sounds of markers scribbling and boxes being opened.
It took about 20 minutes for everything to be unboxed and labeled. By then Beast Boy came down to see who was at the door and was now helping to organize the boxes into piles, one for each teammate.
As they were finishing up Evan decided to speak. "So uh, I hope you don't mind me asking, but where's Raven?"
Cyborg and Starfire shrugged and Beast Boy made a comment about her probably meditating or something.
"I actually just texted her. I asked her to go get some cookies for you as thanks for helping us."
"Oh, you didn't have to do that." Evan looked down at the floor hiding his blush.
"Dude, you deserve it." Beast Boy said from across the room looking to see what he got.
"Yeah," Cyborg walked over. "Besides, we made way too many."
As they were assuring Evan that he did indeed deserve the cookies and that he was not being a bother whatsoever, Raven came with a plate of wrapped cookies. "Their chocolate chip," she said holding them out to Evan, "thank you for helping."
"It wasn't a problem at all." Even took the cookies with a smile and went back to the truck, waving as he left.
Once he left Cyborg went over to Robin and nudged him. "Someone has a crush on you." He grinned.
Robin looked back at him and smiled. "I know. He was cute but I don't think he was really my type. Too bashful."
Cyborg laughed and went to help a Raven with her boxes, shaking his head.
"Alright, that's everything." Cyborg stood with his hands on his hips as he placed the last box in Raven's room. "You sure you're good with the rest?"
Raven just nodded as she opened the box to her bed.
"Well," Cyborg walked over to Raven and ruffled her hair, earning a glare from her. "You know where to find me if you do."
"I know." Raven nodded and pulled out the directions as he left.
A few hours later and Robin had all of his stuff set up. Well, he had the things he got set up which was his desk, bookshelf, and mattress.
'I was really hoping my bed would be coming today' he thought, rolling up his sleeping bag and putting his mattress in its place. 'But at least I have a mattress, so that's a bonus.'
Standing in the middle of his room, he looked around with approval nodding. 'It's getting there. Now, where are the bed sheets?'
It took him a few minutes of searching before he found the Target bag that housed his sheets. As he opened it, he was surprised to see not only his white sheets, but Raven's light blue ones. 'Huh, I guess she didn't know these were for her. I thought we told her to get them from the laundry room.' He took out his sheets and placed them on his bed before grabbing the blue ones and going to Raven's room.
When he got there, her door was open as she was moving her books to her bookshelf. Sensing him, she turned toward her door looking at him. "Yes?" She asked.
"I think I took your sheets by mistake." Robin held up the blue sheets and walked into her room.
"Oh," she said looking at the sheets in Robin's hands. "What am I supposed to do with them?"
"You put them on the bed…." Robin said slowly. "You do know what bed sheets are don't you?"
Raven furrowed her brows and shook her head.
"Well here, I'll show you." Robin walked past Raven and over to her bed, Raven following behind him.
"So these go on top of the mattress to help protect it from wear and tear." He looked over at Raven. She nodded in understanding.
Robin then unfolded the sheet and held one side of them. "You grab that side." Robin motioned her to the other side of the bed. She walked over and grabbed the other side of the sheet. "Ok, so now the curved parts of the fabric go on the corners of the mattress like this." He demonstrated, placing the sheet on the bottom corner of the bed.
Raven moved to the other bottom corner of the bed and placed her edge of the sheet on the mattress she looked up at Robin in confirmation.
"Yep, just like that." He smiled. "Now we do the other side." They both moved to their side of the mattress and placed the final corners on the mattress. Just as Raven put hers in place, fwoomp, one of the bottom corners came up.
"Ugh, I hate when that happens." Robin groaned moving to fix it. Then fwoomp, the top corner came up as soon as he fixed the bottom one. "God damn it." He grumbled going to fix the top now. As he fixed it he backed away slowly and held his hands out in front of him in a 'stay' gesture.
When he was sure it wasn't coming back up he looked at Raven who had an amused look on her face. "Oh, so you think that was funny?" He smiled, placing his hands on his hips.
"It was quite entertaining." Raven admitted, gathering her blanket and pillow and placing them on the bed.
"You just think it's funny because it happened to me," Robin started with a grin, "I can't wait until it happens to you."
"Well, we'll just have to see then." Raven looked at her bed.
"Like how it looks?" Robin looked over at Raven.
She nodded her head and looked at Robin. "Yes, thank you."
"No problem." Robin said walking toward her door. "And just you wait until the sheets come up on you. I bet you won't be laughing then." He left with a playful smile.
Ugh, this one took me forever. I had no idea what I was going to do for this one but I couldn't bring myself to abandon it
I hate putting fitted sheets on my bed. I never know which side it goes on and the ends always pop up
I know that the delivery boys name is Evan and that's the name of the friend Raven met at the party in "Sisters" but this is not the same person. I chose the name because it was the name of a kid I used to want to be friends with when I was little
Again, I head cannon both Raven AND Robin as bi. So don't come after me for that
