[Royal Woods: Loud Residence]
Morning came to Royal Woods as the light of the sun awoke everyone from their slumber. The Loud family got up like nothing had happened... well most of them anyway.
The Loud sisters got up and looked around waiting for Lincoln to come out of his room. Only to remember about a minute later that Lincoln was no longer at home as he was now with Professor Magnolia in Galar.
Some looked of each other with uncertain looks while others were still in an uncaring mood as they were still angry about the stuff Lincoln had written in his journal. But for now that was not important as they had to get ready as Lori was coming home from Fairway today and they need to be downstairs ready to greet her.
So after shaking it off the Loud sisters began moving around like everything was normal even though it wasn't as they got ready for the day.
The only ones who weren't moving around like everything was normal was Lisa. Who fell asleep at her VideoPhone waiting for Professor Magnolia to ca her.
The other was Lucy who was watching Lisa and Lily's room very carefully and she was waiting for an opening to get inside as she tried last night to sneak in but she had no luck as Lisa the room almost as impenetrable as fort Knox.
Unknown to the Loud sisters they're actually was an individual inside Lincoln's room but it was not Lincoln. Inside the room after crying herself to sleep late at night as Rita who was holding Lincoln's beloved toy bun bun very closely to her chest.
Rita woke up with serious bags under her eyes as she recalled how she ended up there in the first place.
[Flashback]
Rita was in her bedroom still looking out the window as she has not moved for several hours. Not since coming home from the airport from that less than stellar goodbye with Lincoln.
"Honey I know you're worried about Lincoln and everything but you really need to come to bed."said Lynn Sr as he was worried for his wife's health as this much worrying was not good for her.
"Leave me alone Lynn I will go to bed just when I decide to."said Rita as she was wondering what Lincoln was doing at that very moment she and her husband were speaking.
"Rita I'm sure he was just angry at the moment and I'm sure mean think about it he's basically going on the adventure of a lifetime."said Lynn Sr in an attempt to make his wife feel better.
"But they should have never happened in the first place Lynn! I know the girls are angry at home but they had no right to read his journal in the first place as it was his private property!"snapped Rita at her husband causing him to back away a little.
"Yeah I know Rita but let's be honest there's very little privacy in this house as you know one way or another the truth of the journal was bound to get out."defended Lynn Sr.
'There he goes again protecting his precious daughters it's clear to me that he's not going to get it anytime soon!' thought Rita as she got up from her chair and walked over to the bed.
But instead of laying down she grabbed a pillow and began to make her way to the door.
"Honey where are you going?"
"I'm going to stay in Lincoln's room for the night since I need some time alone."said Rita as she walked out the door and headed up the stairs.
Lynn Sr wanted to say something but he knew that the best thing his wife needed right now was space as after all when Lori left for Fairway he was a wreck. He can only imagine what she is feeling right now as Lincoln is her special little guy.
[Flashback End]
Rita just rubbed her eyes as she looked at bun bun. This cause tears to fall down her face.
"Oh Lincoln."said Rita as she tried her best not to cry.
Meanwhile outside the room everyone had gotten fully dressed and headed down the stairs just as the sound of someone unlocking the door could be heard.
Soon the door open and revealed that it was Lori who had come home and Fairway University like she promised she would do every weekend to get her father to stop crying about her leaving and all.
"Hey guys."said Lori until she noticed that one individual was missing from her siblings.
"So it's true huh... Lincoln is really on the other side of the world on some island I never heard of..."
"Galar."said Lucy as she knew her older sister probably didn't know what the island was called.
"Yeah that... where's Lisa?"Asked Lori as she noticed that her genius little sister wasn't waiting for her like the others.
"She is still waiting for that Professor Magnolia to call her but she said she'll be down shortly to get some breakfast."answered Luna as they all began walking into the kitchen.
Lynn Sr all the while was cooking eggs and bacon in the kitchen although he wasn't in the same happy mood he usually was when he was cooking. Lynn Sr loves cooking but the recent events over the last several days have an exactly been the best.
"Let's just try and have a normal day after all your son is probably having a great time over there with those Pokemon creatures or whatever they're called."said Lynn Sr as he tried to reassure himself that Lincoln was having a good time.

[Galar: Postwick]
Meanwhile on the other side of the world Lincoln had done up from his bed with no problem.
As Lincoln was opening his eyes he was confused as it was not his bedroom until he remembered that he was no longer in Royal Woods or even the United States. He was now on the island of Galar.
As Lincoln rubbed his eyes he noticed that sleeping soundly next to him was his Sobble, the Pokemon he had chosen as his starter Pokemon yesterday.
"Well I'm glad it's not a dream."said Lincoln as Sobble began to get up as well and looked around before noticing Lincoln.
"Sobble sob."said the water lizard Pokemon with a smile on his face.
Come on buddy let's get some breakfast."said Lincoln until he got a message on his Rotom phone.
When Lincoln check the message he saw it was from Hop.
"Lincoln after breakfast come to my house Lee wants to have a talk with us."said Lincoln out loud as he read the message.
"Okay it's not like I have anything better to do."said Lincoln as he and Sobble walked out of the bedroom to get to the kitchen to get some breakfast.
After breakfast which consisted of pancakes for Lincoln and delicious sweet Pokémon food for Sobble. The two made their way to Hop's house.
A short while later Lincoln, Leon and Hop we're all in the front yard next to the mini battlefield where Lincoln and Hop got their Pokemon the day before.
"I notice last night did you stayed up late Hop getting to know your new Pokemon, building up friendship with one another, maybe even a little bit of love."said Leon as his bedroom was right next to Hop's so he knew exactly what his little brother was up to.
"Of course I have Lee and I'm pretty sure Lincoln stayed up last night getting to know his Sobble as well."
"Yeah he may be a little timid but I can tell he really likes battling as the videos I showed him he watched them without hardly blinking even for a moment."said Lincoln as although Sobble are timid by nature his in particular likes to battle, his got told him so.
"Good getting to know one another and understanding one another is what helps Pokémon in Pokémon trainer kit closer to one another and that trust is crucial when it comes to battle as the way the battle goes is entirely in each other's hands."said Leon wisely as Hop turn to face Lincoln.
"But just having a Pokémon if you doesn't necessarily make you a Pokemon trainer. A proper trainer make sure that their Pokemon are first rated in battle as well!"
"Oh and you think you're already qualified to call yourself a proper trainer? I guess I'll be the judge of that."inquired Leon as he turned to face Lincoln."What do you say Lincoln are you ready to take on Hop in the first ever Pokemon battle of your life?"
"Sure I have no problem with that as I really want to out as soon as I can."said Lincoln with a determined look on his face as he had a feeling this was something he and Sobble had to do.
"Excellent let's make our way to the field and let's get this party started."said Leon as he began to make his way to the field with Lincoln and Hop close behind.
As soon as they got to the field Leon took his position as the referee while Hop and Lincoln took sides on opposite directions of the field.
"Right then since this is both your first Pokemon battle let's make things a little interesting by allowing every Pokemon you guys have on hand to battle."said Leon with a smile on his face as he figured this would be interesting if they went down that route.
'What?! Is he kidding me that's totally not fair since Hop has two Pokemon while I only have one!...Then again this is the perfect opportunity to see what moves Hop's Pokemon are capable of because in the long run I'll probably be facing him again in battle annoying what is Pokemon are capable of is the safest option.' thought Lincoln as in the long run he would need to know everything about Hop and his Pokemon.
"I got no problem with that."said Lincoln.
"Yeah I get to show what Wooloo and Scorbunny are made of!"
"All right as soon as you call out your first Pokemon this battle will officially begin."declared Leon as both aspiring trainers pulled out their first pokeballs,...or in Lincoln's case his only Pokeball.
"Sobble I choose you!"declared Lincoln as he tossed his pokeball releasing the water lizard Pokemon onto the battlefield.
"Sobble!"declared Sobble as he was ready to fight.
"Wooloo come on out!"Yelled Hop as he tossed his pokeball and released the sheep Pokemon onto the battlefield.
"Beeehhhh!"declared Wooloo as he was ready for battle.
"All right let the battle begin!"declared Leon as the two Pokemon on the field ready themselves for their trainers first command.
"Sobble use pound!"ordered Lincoln.
"Wooloo tackle!"ordered Hop.
Both Pokemon attacks collider with one another causing damage to one another but Sobble managed to connect his attack first which show Lincoln that he was faster.
'Okay that's great Sobble has the speed advantage! But don't let that fool you Wooloo have amazing defenses so I need to chip away properly.' thought Lincoln as he decided to make his next move before Wooloo could recover.
"Sobble use pound one more time while Wooloo is recovering!"Yelled Lincoln and in response the water lizard Pokemon did as commanded and struck Wooloo as it was still recovering managing to do a good amount of damage.
"Hey don't think for a second that we're out, Wooloo use growl!"declared Hop and in response the sheep Pokemon released sound waves that lowered the water lizard Pokemon's attack power.
'Not good Sobble I know the specialized in special attack so having your attack power lowered is not something I want. Better finish this quick before Sobble's attack power is lowered even more!' thought Lincoln as it was now or never to finish this.
"Wooloo use tackle!"
"Sobble water gun but wait until the last moment to strike!"order Lincoln.
Sobble looked at his trainer for a moment before catching on to what is trainer had in mind. Wooloo meanwhile was closing in and was about to deliver a powerful tackle attack when Sobble got out of the way and the nick of time. Before Wooloo had a chance to recover from the momentum Sobble went in and fired a powerful stream of water from its mouth. This Caused Wooloo to go all the way back to the other side of the field with a hard landing.
Leon look closely and saw that the sheep Pokemon was knocked out.
"Wooloo is unable to battle, which means this part of the battle goes to Lincoln and Sobble."declared Leon as Wooloo was recalled back to his pokeball.
"You did an excellent job out there Wooloo, take a nice long rest."said Hop as he placed Wooloo's Pokeball back on his trainer belt and pulled out another Pokeball.
"Don't think I'm down for the since I've added another trusty partner to my team. Scorbunny come on out!"yelled Hop as he tossed Scorbunny's pokeball, releasing the Pokemon that was inside.
"Scor Scorbunny!"declared the rabbit Pokemon as it was looking like it was ready for battle.
"We we'll take the first move Scorbunny use tackle!"Yelled Hop as Scorbunny charged towards Sobble and successfully hit Sobble with a tackle attack.
"Dang that's fast but don't think we're out! Sobble strike while Scorbunny it's close to you and use pound!"
Sobble quickly recovered from the initial blow and managed to deliver a powerful pound attack in return, causing the rabbit Pokemon some damage.
"We are not done Scorbunny ember!"declared Hop as the rabbit Pokemon fired a blast of fire from its mouth.
"Time to end this! Sobble dodge and use water gun to finish this!"Yelled Lincoln.
Sobble did as his trainer instructed and jumped high in the air to dodge the attack by the rabbit Pokemon. Sobble then locked on is target and fired his water gun attack with all of his might.
Scorbunny was struck as the water going to attack successfully struck him causing super effective damage. Scorbunny tried to get up but after a few attempts he fell to the floor and it was revealed that he had been knocked out.
"Scorbunny is unable to battle! Which means victory goes to Lincoln and Sobble!"declared Leon as Lincoln and Sobble high five one another.
"Man I can't believe we actually won."said Lincoln as Hop recalled Scorbunny back to his pokeball.
"You did in excellent job out there you deserve a nice long rest."said Hop as he put the Pokeball away to face Lincoln.
"I still can't believe you beat my two Pokemon with only your one. You and that Sobble are way too much."said Hop who was showing good sportsmanship as he could accept a loss.
"You two we're amazing out there and almost made me want to let out Charizard and join in on the fun."said Leon with a smile on his face.
"Lee now that you've seen us battle you've got to let me join the gym challenge right?"
"You? join the gym challenge? The single most spectacular event in all of Galar? No putting the card in front of the Rapidash little brother. Before you even think about taking on the gym challenge you need to learn a lot more about Pokemon."said Leon as he turned his attention towards Lincoln.
"Especially Lincoln. You two need to work hard and at least you guys need to get as a Pokedex."
"A Pokedex?"asked Lincoln as he recalled Sobble back to his pokeball and placed it on his belt.
"It's a special device that allows you to record data on every Pokemon you meet and if you manage to capture one you can collect even more data. But it's not just that as it is also a record of your journey and shows the love and passion you put into Pokemon."said Leon in a serious tone.
"Right then Pokedex's we get it! Filling one should be easy as it will just be another page in the tale of my legend! But you should probably tell Mrs Taylor that you're going out Lincoln since she will be awful worried if you go somewhere without saying anything."
"Yeah..."said Lincoln as he could tell that Mrs Taylor was a kind lady and the last thing he wanted was to make her worry.
So with that the three left the yard and went their separate ways. Leon went to Wedgehurst with the help of Charizard to get to the lab.
As for Lincoln and Hop they started to make their way to Mrs Taylor's house when they heard something.
CRASH!
Hearing this the two aspiring trainers quickly ran to the source of the source of the noise and we're surprised as to what they saw. The fence that was being tackled by that wild Wooloo from yesterday was now completely broken and it was clear that someone went past it.
"Ah that Wooloo didn't listen and actually broke the fence that leads into the Slumbering Weald! Man this is not good Lincoln no one is allowed to go in there I remember one time the professor's granddaughter went in there and she came back and quite the state, but that's nothing compared to the earful she got from the Professor afterwards."said Hop as he wasn't sure what they were supposed to do.
"If you're right Hop then we need to go in there and save that Wooloo because I cannot am I good conscience just leave it in there."said Lincoln refuse to abandon what was right.
"Yeah you're right even if we're not supposed to these are circumstances where we have to do what is necessary. I hope you have everything ready Lincoln cuz we're going into the Slumbering Weald."
With both of them on the same page the two Rand passed the fence and quickly entered the entrance that led into the Slumbering Weald.
What Lincoln and Hop didn't know was that the small act of bravery will set them on the adventure of a lifetime.

Phew finally managed to get the inspiration to finish this chapter. Hey guys PrimusPilus here and I'm proud to say that I put a lot of work into this. Now next chapter should be out soon as Lincoln and Hop venture deeper into the Slumbering Weald and discover something they did not expect to discover.
