Santana lets out a small pleased groan, as she feels Charlie's lips press against her back, last night had been everything she had thought it would be. It had taken about three months to coax Charlie into bed with her, but it had been worth the wait. "Again?" she prompts, as she ground her hips against Charlie's erection.

Charlie shivers and digs her fingers into Santana's hips, they had been doing this for most of the night. There were things that they had done—no one had done that in years, and even though she felt the familiar hole in her stomach that was guilt, she pushed it aside. She hadn't had sex like that since before Riley. "Yeah, if you want to—"

"I do," Santana said immediately, it had been three long months. She had needed to make some concessions; Charlie wasn't ready to have anyone else in the room or bed that she had shared with Frida. It was a good thing that she had a queen size bed. She leans into kiss Charlie, when she freezes when she hears the door handle rattle. And she holds her breath for a moment before realizing that Charlie had locked the door last night when she had finally taken the bait and come into her room.

"Santana?" Riley's voice came through the door. "Do you know where my ma is? She's not in her room. Why's your door locked?"

Santana immediately clamped her hand down over Charlie's mouth, keeping her from saying anything. "I'm just getting dressed Riley, I'll be out in a second," Santana lies and looks at Charlie.

"Kay!" Riley chirps.

There's a look of panic on Charlie's face and Santana winces, they should have waited until it was a day that they had the night to themselves. "It'll be okay. We can do this," she says quietly. "I'll get dressed first and go out and start making Riley breakfast you get dressed, and meet us downstairs. She doesn't have to know yet Charlie if you're not ready to tell her."

Charlie nods wordlessly, and watches as Santana slides out of bed. She reaches for Santana's hand squeezing it, and flashing Santana a small smile.

Santana relaxes, she had thought that Charlie was questioning their relationship, she had just been panicked about Riley walking in on them before she knew about them.

"Santana!"

"I'm coming!" Santana calls out and looks around for a pair of sweats and grabs the first pair she finds. They seem a bit big on her but she ignores that and grabs a shirt and motions for Charlie to hide behind the door. "Hold your horses Riley. I'm going as fast as I can." When Charlie hides behind the door she opens the door a crack to take a look at Riley, who immediately tries to enter her room. "Room's a mess now Riley."

Riley's face scrunched up suspiciously at Santana for a moment, Santana had always let her play in her room. She was being weird. "Ma said she'd take me to the planetarium so I can learn about stars and do my project."

Santana blinked; she vaguely recalled this conversation. "Well, it's still very early in the morning Riley, you haven't even had breakfast, let's head downstairs and I'll whip us up something, and your ma will probably appear because she smells food."

"Bacon pancakes?" Riley asked hopefully, as Santana left her room and closed the door behind her.

"No," Santana said firmly. "That's your ma's thing. I can however make pancakes with sprinkles if you want."

"Fine, but she'll come downstairs quicker if she smells bacon."

"You had bacon twice this week, that's more than enough," Santana said as she closes the door and walks with Riley down the stairs, they had managed to get out of this situation relatively unscathed.

Riley makes a face; it was far easier to get her ma to make her bacon when Santana wasn't paying attention. "Why are you wearing my ma's pants?"

Santana nearly tripped down the stairs and grabs the railing and glances down; it was definitely Charlie's sweatpants. It even had the weird dragon emblem on the side. "I stole them from her."

"You stole my ma's pants?" Riley repeats.

"Yes." Santana said without giving out any information.

"Why?" Riley asks wrinkling her nose.

"They are extremely comfortable, so I decided to take them from your ma," Santana explained. "Stealing is bad," she adds after a moment. "Don't do it."

"You're weird." Riley finally decides on. "So is ma, she let you take her pants."

"Guilty," Santana says with a shake of her head as she grabs the pancake mix, making as much noise as possible for Charlie to get to her room and change into something. It was a crisis averted for now, but they would need to deal with the Riley situation sooner rather than later.

~ O ~

Santana watched as Riley ate her spaghetti, it was a simple meal at a fast-casual Italian restaurant, and of course Charlie had swiped a few crayons and begun to doodle nervously on Riley's playmat. Which had caused a small argument about how her ma was ruining it. It hadn't really been much of a discussion; Charlie was terrible at these conversations. "So, Riley. We have something to tell you," Santana blinks at Riley looking up at them, it was a rather sharp look, one that was eerily reminiscent of Charlie. Santana cleared her throat, "You know that your grandma wants Charlie to start seeing new people, right?"

"Yeah, have you met a new person?" Riley asked looking at her mom.

"No."

Santana turned to look at her, "No?"

"I mean you're not exactly a new person, are you?" Charlie points out.

Riley tilts her head and looks between her ma and Santana for a moment, they were being weird again, her grandma said that this was normal for her ma. She goes back to eating her spaghetti, quickly losing interest in whatever this was.

"I mean, I know I'm not—but, Charlie this isn't that difficult—"

"Santana. I'm seeing Santana," Charlie blurts out looking at Riley who has a mouth filled with spaghetti. "We're dating." When Riley doesn't say anything immediately Charlie begins to fidget. "It's new. I mean sort of—but—"

"Is Santana going to be my new mom?"

Charlie paled at the question, and Santana cleared her throat. "We're just dating for now Riley, we just wanted to let you know that we'll be together a bit more often. You might find your ma in my room sometimes, and that's normal."

"You get to have sleepovers with Santana?" Riley frowned that sounded like fun. "That's no fair!"

Santana reached over to pinch Charlie before she could say anything, "Why don't we build a fort in the living room and sleep there tonight? You know camp out? It should be fun. We can make s 'mores."

"Is that what you do on your sleepovers?"

"There isn't much—ow— Santana! Stop pinching me!"

"She's seven."

"And a half," Riley corrects looking at her ma carefully.

Charlie bit her lip, "Are you okay with this Riley? No one is ever going to replace your mom—but I really like Santana, and you like Santana—"

"We can introduce her to mom?" Riley interrupts.

Santana freezes, Charlie hadn't exactly wanted to mix her and Frida together but when she sees Charlie smile at Riley she relaxes.

"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. I think she'd approve."
