-Caveira POV-
"Oh god"
"How, in the name of all that's holy, did you do THAT?"
"...well it's interesting" Gus started as I facepalmed myself.
"Gustave, you idiota, how is it interesting that the entire indoor training arena is covered in blood?" I asked, calmly. I've learned that Gus is extremely careful with pretty much everything, so when something like this happens, it's usually not his fault, so I don't get annoyed at him. That, plus he's my boyfriend after all.
"I didn't know the cans were pressurized!" Gus threw his hands in the air. "There were no such labels on the cans!"
"Were there instructions?"
"All they said was 'open carefully', which I did, mind you. They said nothing about the fake blood exploding out of the cans." I sighed, and grabbed a broom from the storage closet. I'll admit, the blood on the walls and in the rooms of the makeshift building we use for indoor training looked nice, but on the floor was apparently a safety hazard. Before I began sweeping, Gus took the broom out of my hands. "I'll sweep. I made the mess."
"Gus, it looks fine" I chuckled. "Well, besides the floor"
"Then I'll sweep the floor" he insisted, and began sweeping. While he did, I strode over to the Target bags by the wall, and shuffled through them. I only started helping Gus now, due to the fact that I needed a shower and something to eat, plus he had something to take care of in the medical wing, so we were definitely behind on getting the training areas ready. I pick out a giant inflatable black widow spider, and decide that it would look good indoors. I looked on the back of the package for the directions, so not to copy Gus's fate with the fake blood, and, once I knew how to do it properly, ripped open the package, and laid the spider out flat.
"Gus!" I call over to him.
"Yeah?" he calls back from around the training building.
"Do we have an air pump?"
"Powered or manual?"
"Either!"
"Check the closet!" he calls. I walk over to the closet where I got the broom, and, sure enough, I found the electric pump. Grabbing it, I plug it in, and insert it into the spider, switching it on. Upon hearing the pump turn on, Gus rounds the corner, looking curious. "Spider, huh?"
"Yep" I say, boastfully. As the spider was blowing up, Gus was looking at the training building, hands out, his fingers forming a square, mapping out the building. I chuckled. "Getting a good angle there?" I joke.
"Yep" Gus nodded, dropping his hands by his sides. "What will it take to convince you to help me get that thing up on the wall of the training building?" I gave him a questionative look.
"On the wall? What the hell for?" i ask. He just shrugs.
"I think it'll look better than on the ground. It'll give us more walking room as well" he says. I open my mouth to say something, but then think about what he said. It was actually a very good idea.
"You know what, that's a great idea" I compliment, turning off the air pump, and taking it out of the spider. "Where were you thinking?"
"Maybe on the wall facing the entrance" Gus pointed to where he was referring to.
"The entrance to the training room or to the false building?" I ask.
"To the room. That way, you walk in, and it's sitting right there, staring you down" I smile, and plant a kiss on his cheek.
"Sounds good" Half hour later, we have the spider on the wall and being blown up. We're sitting on the floor, cuddling, waiting for the spider to finish inflating. I lean more into Gus, and he chuckles at my current need for contact. "I love you, you know" I say, nuzzling into his neck.
"I love you too, Taina" he responds resting his chin on my head. We hear a strange noise, and look up to see the spider almost done blowing up, as well as an inflatable web beneath it. "Um, did you know it had a web included?" Gus asked.
"...no" I answer. "It'll look fine though" Gus chuckled.
"Of course it will. Though I think both of us had some trouble with reading instructions today" I laughed and leaned more into him. I feel my phone vibrate, and slightly dislodge from Gus, pulling my phone out, and looking at the text i received. "Oh it's Meghan!" Due to our slow start, we asked Meghan and Maxim to pick up some extra decor for the training facilities.
"Did they get the stuff?" Doc asked. I nodded.
"She said she got the tombstones, cobwebs, chains, and...12 gallons of blood." I confirmed, looking up at him. He looked very impressed.
"Wow, where'd they find 12 gallons of fake blood?" he asked. I instantly paled, knowing my mistake.
"...you wanted FAKE blood?" I asked, quietly. Doc stared me down.
"You didn't ask them to get you actual blood did you?" he asked. I shrugged.
"I just said 'blood'. Apparently, they thought that meant actual blood." Gus looked horrified, and I'll admit, I was horrified as well. How were we to explain this to Six?
"Well. This is quite the divot we're in." Gus sighed. I nodded, trying to come up with a plan for out incident.
