Packages had been arriving at the Herrera-Sullivan household like there was no tomorrow. The majority were presents for their friends and colleagues but a fair few were for one another.

It was their first Christmas together and both had agreed that they would get a couple of things for each other to remember the occasion.

To keep the presents a secret until the big day, both Robert and Andy had taken to hiding the gifts around the house. For Andy it was a case of hiding her presents for Robert amongst her makeup and beauty products, knowing that he would never go snooping around them. And for Robert, it was even easier as he placed the presents, he got for Andy on top of the highest pieces of furniture in the house, including the various bookcases that were dotted around the house. He knew that she wouldn't be able to spot them if they were up high and so he took full advantage of that.

"You know, we're going to need to wrap these presents soon." Andy stated as she looked at the neat pile of cardboard boxes in the corner of the living room.

"And we will, once our food has arrived and it's been consumed." Robert replied. It was a late Friday evening and both had just come off their latest shift; neither was in the mood to cook something so they had decided to order in a takeaway from their local Chinese.

Once all their food had been eaten and the leftovers were placed in the fridge for lunch the next day, Robert and Andy had agreed to split the pile of presents in half to get through it quicker. Robert took all the presents that were in a box as he struggled when it came to wrapping the odd-shaped things, whereas Andy had been a pro at wrapping presents since she was seven so those without a box were a breeze to her.

They had also taken to wrapping the presents separately, with Andy downstairs and Robert upstairs, so that they could wrap the presents that they got for each other at the same time, knowing that they didn't have any other free time to wrap them before Christmas Day.

Wrapping the presents upstairs allowed Robert to check that the main present that he brought for Andy was still in its place. He had tucked it away in his office, behind a couple of books that he knew Andy would never read. It was important to Robert to keep that present a secret, despite already knowing the answer to the question that he would ask when she would unwrap it on Christmas Day.

Robert had been toying with the idea of getting the present as they hadn't talked about it much; it was just a brief conversation one time over dinner. But he held onto her every word from that moment and could only hope that it what she wanted.

It was now a nervous seven-day wait to see if she was happy with it.

A/N: Sorry that this is so short and there's barely any dialogue but I didn't know what I wanted to achieve with this chapter. Hope you enjoyed it though x
