"Last time on Total Drama Revenge of the Cruise Ship..." Chris began the recap, sitting in the captain's room next to Chef as usual. "Our teams were split up and had their first solo challenge on oft forgotten Boney Island! Well, it wasn't that solo, since everyone still tried to team up in the challenge. Max and his laser caused some problems, as did Chef shooting at the players as they raced down the river! Noah and Katniss were able to clinch a win in the challenge with Katniss halted Raphael near the finish, and half of the players decided that Matias should be the one going home, so he took the cannon of shame! Who will bite the dust in Mexico? Find out right here, on Total, Drama, Revenge of the Cruise Ship!"
It was around 4:30 in the morning on the cruise ship, and Max was having trouble sleeping. Every few minutes just after he tried to fall asleep, he kept waking up after having some kind of nightmare. This had been happening for about an hour now, so his sleep was beyond messed up. "My evil is infecting my dreams tonight... what a nuiscance..." Max muttered as he turned in bed and tried to go back to sleep.
His next dream felt a bit too real though, as a silhouette had crept up next to his bed with one of Chef's butcher knives. It rose to swing at Max, and that image alone was enough to scare him awake once more, screaming this time. "GAH! Cursed assailant begone!" he yelled, somehow not waking up the other guys in the room.
Max opened his eyes to see that there wasn't anyone there to hurt him whatsoever. "Max. Did you need help sleeping? You appear to be having frightful dreams." Yvette asked him, standing right in front of his bed.
The villain wannabe rubbed his eyes for a moment, relieved to see that it was just her. "Oh, minion! Yes I would, scary things just keep popping up!" Max told her, shuddering as he thought of what he saw in his dreams.
Yvette nodded her head a couple of times as she flipped open her notepad to a page she had ready. "Hmm... okay. I guess we'll have to take care of this. Do you see this face?" Yvette asked him, showing him a drawing a normal man's face.
Max slowly nodded, not understanding how this was helping. "Yes, where is this going? Can we just get to the part where I sleep peacefully?" Max asked her, since the question was super simple.
Yvette flipped to the next page, showing a normal drawing of a woman's face. "We'll get there. Do you see this face?" Yvette asked him, yet another obvious question. Max nodded once more, crossing his arms and sitting up in bed now.
After Max once again nodded, Yvette began to flip through pages in her notepad at a faster pace. "Repeat after me as you look at the faces and say 'There are no faces.' Just keep saying it." Yvette told him, the faces getting slightly deformed as she continued to flip through.
"There are no faces... there are no faces..." Max repeated over and over, getting progressively more creeped out by the faces on her notepad. They were starting to have unnatural protrusions and even more deformities, mixed in with normal faces.
Yvette continued to flip through them, before finally stopping on a drawing of Max's face. "Perfect. It may not feel like it, but you should be able to get a good night's sleep now. A dreamless sleep, real sleep. Good night Max." Yvette said to him, before just walking out the door.
Max blinked a couple times as she left, mostly just confused at all of what just happened. "Oh well, that just shows my minions are loyal! Good night me!" Max said good night to himself as he laid down and closed his eyes, not having a problem sleeping finally.
-Confessional: Max-
"Last night was weird. But my sidekick Yvette is proving to be quite handy! I slept super late, but I still feel great! I just blinked and then it was morning, no dreams at all! That's perfect for an evil being such as myself, as dreams just get in the way of my real ambitions!"
-End Confessional-
It was now around 9 in the morning on the ship and everyone was awake by now, the guys having gotten up earlier than the girls did thanks to Raphael running in and waking them up. "Wake up fellow soldiers! You don't want to miss breakfast!" Raphael yelled at all of them, waking all of the boys up abruptly. He had already gone on his morning run and had breakfast himself, so he was filled with energy.
Marty groaned as he rubbed his head while he woke up. "Seriously Raphael? Can you just let us get our sleep?" Marty complained, climbing out of bed to change into his normal clothes.
Richard got out of bed shortly after Marty did, having a similar annoyed reaction. "My dream was getting really good too. There was this girl, and she was-" Richard began to talk about what his dream was about, but Marty cut him off.
"No one wants to hear about your perverted dreams Richard. Like seriously, please shut up." Marty told him coldly, still bitter that Matias had went home last night instead of Richard.
Richard sighed and nodded his head before letting out a yawn, already knowing why Marty was upset with him. While the two of them groggily got ready for the day, Max hopped out of his bed and stretched just once, looking just as energized as Raphael was. "Look at you fools! Richard here had a dream, that sure messed up his sleep didn't it? As someone who is pure evil such as myself, I no longer have a need for them!" Max then let out an evil laugh, nearly tripping on his pajamas as he changed out of them.
Alex had just woken up to hear Max rambling, already annoyed as well. "Who let him start talking and can we just shut him up already?" Alex asked groggily, getting out his bunk.
Max just continued to laugh, now dressed normally. "Oh I did! Because you cretins did not get nearly as good of sleep as I did! And- EEEEP! MONSTERS!" Max stopped his insulting as he looked at the guys in the room, screaming as he ran out.
"Did he have a nightmare or something? I think I heard him crying last night too." Marty asked, confused at Max's behavior.
Alex and Raphael shrugged, just as confused as he was. "Well he's got a long day ahead of him in this challenge if he's that spooked waking up!" Raphael gave a chuckle, since he wasn't that fond of Max either.
-Confessional: Max-
Max was sitting on the seat sucking his thumb, looking scared out of his mind. "There were m-monsters in our room! Alex, M-Marty, Richard, Raphael, their faces were all deformed! They had two m-moving balls in the middle, a weird hole n-near the bottom, then two smaller holes above that hole! What's g-going on here!? I want my m-mommy..."
-Confessional: Yvette-
"Okay, Max is just having some facial recognition problems. Normal human faces just look alien to him, but it'll wear off after a bit. He'll start associating faces with familiars, and it'll all come back to him. He wasn't going to fall asleep otherwise, so I had to assist him."
-Confessional: Richard-
"Last night's elimination was way too close for comfort. Everyone is going for me. Buuuuut, one person did vote for Max, so maybe I can send votes his way tonight if I don't win the challenge? I'm running out of ideas..."
-End Confessionals-
In the hangout room, Noah and Katniss were having an actual breakfast served to them by the orange clad mime intern Kenny, and both of them were looking forward to eating some actual food. "I guess this a downside to winning a challenge. We end up missing out on Chef's fabulous cooking." Noah said sarcastically, looking over the fluffy pancakes coated with butter and syrup.
It took Katniss a second, but she quickly understood what he meant. "Oh! That's more sarcasm right? Since Chef's food is really bad." Katniss asked him, her English improved since she and Noah had worked on that together last night and then some more this morning.
Noah nodded, cutting a piece of a pancake and then eating it. "Pretty much. I'm suprised you caught on so fast after our little session." Noah told her, while Katniss wolfed down her pancakes pretty much instantly.
Once she was done, Katniss licked her lips of any remaining syrup while smiling at Noah. "Well of course! No one really sat down to help me like you did. I can't really do big words, but I'll get that soon! Thanks Noah!" she thanked him, which Noah couldn't help but smile back at her.
"Don't mention it, seriously. I really don't need people thinking I'm some super helpful guy. This was a already a lot." Noah told her, dropping the smile and going back to eating his pancakes.
Katniss gave him a thumbs up, before quickly drinking all of the milk that came with their breakfast. "You got it Noah, we'll still be friends though right?" Katniss asked him, looking even more excited.
Noah sighed, nodding his head. "Sure, just don't tell anyone. I want nothing to do with all that friendly business." Noah answered, restating his terms.
That was a good enough answer for Katniss, so she got up from her seat now that she was done with her breakfast and left to go say hi to everyone else. Noah opened up one of his books now that she was gone, preferring to just stay in this room than socialize.
-Confessional: Noah-
"So I helped Katniss with her English and am now friends with her. That doesn't mean I'm gonna be mushy will everyone else. She's just a really important ally to have, and I can't let her think that I'm dragging her along. Really, that's it, I swear."
-Confessional: Katniss-
"Wow, this is my first uhh, confess? Whatever it's called, with good words for once! Noah is really nice, so we're friends now. Valerie is really mean, so I want her gone. Richard is really dirty and kissed me, so I want him gone even more. That's how the others sound in these right?"
-End Confessionals-
Everyone besides Raphael, Max, Katniss, and Noah were all eating breakfast in the cafeteria, now sitting wherever they wanted since the teams had been dissolved. Amber and Valerie were now joined by Wolfy in their usual spot, Tristan was hanging out in the now three person alliance since Matias had left, while the other three were busy getting their food.
Today, Chef was serving scrambled egg whites and water popsicles, which may as well just have been called ice on a stick. It wasn't flavored, just plain ordinary ice on a stick. "One day our meals will reach the adequate food groups I hope." Yvette said to Richard as she took her tray, following him over to their usual spot at the formerly Killifish table.
Richard nodded in agreement with her, glad to at least have the egg whites. "Better than what we had at the start of the season, we're like halfway through now, so we get something edible with each of our meals." Richard replied, before taking a piece of egg white with his fork and eating it. "Mmm, scrumptiously bland." Richard commented after getting the taste in his mouth, not being the biggest fan of it.
Alex got his food last and walked over to the three man alliance of Tristan, Brinley, and Marty, sitting down next to Tristan. "Hey guys! How's it going? Probably not the best?" Alex asked them, which the answer was pretty obvious just looking at them.
"We lost Summer, then we just lost Matias, I don't think things could get any worse, just for your information." Marty responded, then taking a bite from his egg whites with a bitter look on his face.
Alex sighed, having forgotten that their alliance was a bit more than just that. "About that... I was figuring I could help you guys out. I voted for Richard last night, and I plan to do so again. He was an absolute pain over on the Killifish before I switched to your team, and he definitely deserved to go more than Matias ever could. So I was hoping you guys would help with that?" Alex offered, which got the three of them a bit more excited minus Tristan.
Marty nodded excitedly, wanting nothing more than vengeance for his friends. "Of course, that makes four of us in votes, so it shouldn't be too hard should it? We just gotta get three other people on our side and we have ourselves a majority." Marty agreed, feeling optimistic about this.
Tristan gave a thumbs up as well, not too big of a fan of getting rid of another one of his allies. "Yeah, so why don't we split up and convince the others individually? Max is a super easy vote, so we won't have to worry about him, Richard has it bad for Yvette, so she'd probably like to have him gone." Tristan suggested, thinking off the top of his head who would be easy.
Brinley was trying to think of who else they could go for, rubbing a hand on her chin. "Oh I got it, how about Katniss? She's kinda dumb, so she'd be easy to convince." Brinley suggested, which the others liked the idea as well.
"I can handle Wolfy." Alex said, since they had an alliance already. "We're good friends, so I'm sure she wouldn't mind voting with us on this one!" Alex added, bringing even more delight to Marty.
Before they could continue any further with who they would convince, Max walked into the cafeteria and nearly screamed again as he looked over everyone. "AAAAAHHH! You're all foul monsters! What happened to your faces!?" Max shrieked, backing away towards the door.
Yvette got out of her seat and hurried over to him, kneeling down so she could be at eye level with him. "Max, look at me. This is how our faces are typically organized. You must have forgotten how they looked in your sleep. You recognize me right?" Yvette asked him in a soothing voice, just to keep Max calm.
Max squinted for a second, and it started to come back to him. "Umm... Scarlett? Is that you? W-Where am I!? This is still a nightmare isn't it!?" Max screamed, the situation not getting any better.
Yvette shook her head, taking off her glasses and continuing to look him in the eyes. "Calm down Max, it's me, Yvette. You're still on the cruise ship." Yvette continued to talk in a soothing voice, and this seemed to actually calm him down for real.
Max rubbed his eyes and looked her again, sighing with relief when he saw that it was her. "Phew, one of these fools must have put a curse on me! Minion, figure out who did this and we will take care of them at once!" Max yelled angrily once his moment of relief ended.
"Understood Max, will do." Yvette said, before walking back over to her seat and getting back to breakfast.
-Confessional: Yvette-
"D-Did you hear that!? He thought I was Scarlett..." Yvette took off her glasses and took a deep breath, before grinning wider than she ever had before. "Yes! I guess I don't really talk about myself much in here do I? I always talk about the others or my plans. But anyway, confession time. Scarlett is my idol, my role model, my everything! She's the reason I signed up for Total Drama in the first place, she's just so inspiring to me with her smarts and what she tried to achieve. I even dressed like her the best I could. I don't need these glasses by the way, but they look cute don't they? I run the one fan page that Sierra doesn't, which is Scarlett's. She even let me be the president of Scarlett's fan club! I could go on and on about her honestly. Hearing Max call me her... that just made me tingle in a good way, I've never been so... happy."
-Confessional: Marty-
"Richard is going to go down tonight. No matter what. If I have to throw the challenge to make sure he goes, then I will. I'm tired of my friends getting kicked off, so it's time to finally get aggressive. Summer, Matias, if you're watching this at home, I'll win for you guys!"
-End Confessionals-
Just as Max got his food and sat down to eat, the loudspeakers on the ship blared loudly with an airhorn sound just for extra pain. Once the airhorn stopped, Chris of course yelled into the already loud loudspeaker. "Hello el travellers! We have arrived at our el destination! Please make your el way to the el off ramp!" Chris announced in a horrible mexican accent, which Amber took note of.
"He is so getting cancelled once I'm done with the show..." Amber mumbled, throwing her trash away and setting the tray down on the counter just like everyone else as she made her way out.
Once everyone was at the off ramp of the ship, Chris was waiting for them wearing a sombrero while Chef was behind him dressed in full mariachi attire. "Hola el travellers! Welcome to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico! This is a popular tourist spot known for it's traditional resorts, casinos, bars, lounges, and plenty of other things you are all too young to experience!" Chris introduced their location, before leading them all onto the beach and then to the cobblestone paved streets.
Chef was lazily shaking maracas while following Chris, stopping once they arrived at the town square. "The first part of our challenge is pretty simple! It will be an endurance test... of dancing!" Chris announced what their challenge would be, prompting Chef to shake the maracas with just a bit more oomph.
There were many groans heard from the players at the mention of dancing, but some were actually excited. "What kind of dancin' will we be doing? My girl Brooke and I know pretty much every dance from Mexico, so dish it and I'll do it!" Valerie asked confidently, since she was Mexican herself.
Chris rolled his eyes, now aware that she was probably going to win this challenge. "Silence you fool! No one wants to see your sub-par dancing that you call 'traditional'! If it isn't evil, it stinks!" Max yelled at her, before getting a quick slap to the face from Valerie.
"Both of you just shut up and let me do the hosting!" Chris shouted at them, before putting back on his usual smile. "As I was saying, we have an actual mariachi band, and all you have to do is dance well enough to impress today's special guest... Alejandro!" Chris explained as the mentioned guest walked over to them on cue from a nearby building.
His looks alone were enough to make Wolfy and Katniss swoon, they quickly snapped out of it when Chris snapped his fingers. "No time to eye up our guest, step into the circle and get dancing once the music starts!" Chris told them, pointing to a circle made with red spray paint in the middle of the town square, which was right in front of a stage where the mariachi band was ready to play.
"I decline. I have no rhythm." Yvette refused to do the challenge, which suprised Richard that she would just give up like that. "It would be pointless for me to participate in this challenge, as I would not be able to dance properly." she added while the others went to the circle.
Richard didn't want her to just lose the challenge like that, so he hurried over to and held a hand out. "Wait Yvette, I was actually hoping to do one of those dances where you have a partner? We could do it together, since umm... I like you lots, which you already know, so why should I even say it, and-" Richard began to stammer, before being cut off by Yvette.
"Sure. A samba routine would pair well with mariachi music, but we may have to go faster than a typical one too. Again Richard, I like you too, but-" Yvette was going to try and say what she wanted to say back in Venice, but Richard cut her right back off.
"Nope! No buts! Now let's go dance!" Richard said quickly, leading her over to the circle while Yvette just let out another sigh.
-Confessional: Richard-
"A romantic dance with Yvette? This is just the best! We'll so be together once we're done with today's challenge! Whatever that 'but' is she was trying to say will be a thing of the past by the end of today!"
-Confessional: Valerie-
"If the other parts of the challenge will be something like this first part, everyone might as well give up! I'm a full-blooded Mexican, and no way will I let my girl Brooke down and let the others show me up!"
-End Confessionals-
Once all 13 players were inside the circle, the mariachi band began playing their fast paced and slightly obnoxious music while Chef lazily shook his maracas. There were no vocals, so it was all about keeping up with the tempo basically until the song ended. Before the band could even get five seconds into the song, Max tripped and fell flat on his face. "Cursed uneven ground, this challenge was rigged! I see right through your plan Chris!" Max protested, but just got a thumbs down from Alejandro and a laugh from Chris.
"Mi amigo, accept your loss and take a seat, it would be much easier that way." Alejandro helped Max up, who just huffed and stormed over to one of the benches in the town square.
Of the 12 in the circle, about half of them were actually making a good attempt to dance. Noah was attempting to some kind of disco dance, rolling his arms in a circular motion before pointing up with one hand, then repeating the step and pointing with the other hand. Alejandro was quick to give him a thumbs down, smirking at Noah. "Of course it's you. The fair and always honest Al. As slippery as an eel as ever." Noah commented, which only fazed Alejandro slightly at the mention of his nickname.
Noah sat down on the same bench as Max and leaned back, glad that he at least didn't have to do the rest of the challenge. If he was going to lose, it might as well have been early on. "Hey Max. What schemes are you plotting right now? An evil cookie I'm guessing?" Noah asked him sarcastically, having very little interest in what Max was actually planning, since it was all pretty much pointless.
Max of course took the idea seriously, now wondering about the possibilities of an evil cookie. "Brilliant idea! An evil treat will make anyone fall to their knees for me!" Max then laughed evilly, making Noah roll his eyes.
"It'll have to be a lot lower than their knees if it's you." Noah said, joking about Max's height, but Max once again took his statement seriously.
Max stood up from the bench and paced back and forth now, getting more and more excited with each second. "Yes, yes, of course! If they lie down, they'll be completely defenseless, I'm a genius!" Max let out another one of his evil laughs.
Noah now ignored him, scooting in his seat to be farther away from him. "Why do I even try..." Noah mumbled to himself, resting his head on one head now while watching the others dance.
Valerie was putting on quite the show, shaking her whole body to the beat of the song, purposely trying to show off her assets as well. Richard tried not to stare, focusing on Yvette in front of him. "Wow... this song is pretty annoying isn't it?" Richard asked her, trying to start up small talk while they danced.
The two of them were holding both of their hands together, taking a few steps forward and then spinning. "I wouldn't know, I've never been one for music." Yvette answered bluntly, her dancing feeling very stiff and unnatural. She was just letting Richard take the lead here.
Marty was dancing near them, moonwalking right towards them and then holding his foot out to trip Richard. "Hey Marty watch where you're- WOAH!" Richard yelped as his leg was kicked and fell right over.
Since they were holding hands at the moment, Richard took Yvette down with her, but Yvette held out a leg to trip Marty as well while she fell. This caught him off guard and knocked Marty down on top of them in the now three person pile. "Oh my, it seems you all have fallen. Unfortunately, you are all out for your poor footwork." Alejandro told the three of them, getting groans from Marty and Richard.
-Confessional: Marty-
"I may have lost the challenge, but I took down Richard! Now he's not invincible tonight, so he'll be ripe for picking!"
-Confessional: Richard-
"What the heck was that about? Did I do something to tick Marty off?"
-Confessional: Yvette-
"Hmmm, that was very uncharacteristic of Marty to mess us up like that. It wasn't an accident either, as his leg swinging out like that had nothing to do with the moonwalk. I'll have to get to the bottom of this one."
-End Confessionals-
In the circle, only eight players were still dancing while Alejandro watched them all closely. The mariachi band had sped up in pace now, making things even harder for those who were already struggling. Raphael was having some difficulty, nearly tripping as he switched to a simple Carlton since there wasn't much he knew as far as dancing went.
The cheesy dance made Alejandro cringe, but it was still dancing, so he didn't say anything about it. Brinley on the other hand was having an easy time. She was doing a very simple dance as well, just swaying her hips back and forth while waving her arms in the air to the beat of the song. "Lazy, but still a dance. Keep it up." Alejandro gave two quick claps as he moved on to the others.
Amber was trying to imitate the moves that Valerie was doing, but she didn't have any practice at all for this kind of thing while this dance was nearly second nature to Valerie. She got nervous as Alejandro walked by, looking away from Valerie at the moment so it wasn't too obvious that she was just copying her. Of course, he had been watching them before he even walked by, so he wasn't fooled. "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but it doesn't win you the challenge I'm afraid. You're out amiga." Alejandro told her, making Amber sigh and walk off.
Alex and Wolfy were attempting something similar to what Yvette and Richard had tried, but were handling things better than they were. Wolfy was leading the dance between them, which was a mix of a ballerina routine meshed with a tango duet. Alex was having some trouble keeping up with it, since he had no idea how the dance actually flowed. "Where did you learn this dance even? This seems super complicated." Alex asked her, doing a pirouette in sync with her.
Wolfy smirked at his question, taking it as a compliment to the dance. "Well my good friend Firefly is super creative and comes up with all kinds of stuff, so I got this from her!" Wolfy answered, continuing the dance and grabbing Alex's left hand with her right, walking in a circle with him.
Alejandro walked by them having already been watching them dance for a minute now from a distance. "A graceful tango, interesting choice. I approve." Alejandro gave them a thumbs up and left them to continue their dance. Now that he had already judged them, Wolfy and Alex got just a little bit lazier now that the pressure was off.
Up next to judge was Tristan, who was attempting a similar disco dance to Noah since he had very little rhythm as well. But this time, Alejandro just let it slide and moved right on his way to judge someone else. "Seriously?" Noah muttered, seeing the blatant bias from where he was sitting.
Amber sat down next to Noah on the bench and had barely heard his complaint, which got her a little curious. "What? Is something wrong Noah?" Amber asked him, leaning in his direction.
Noah turned to look at her, figuring that she could actually hold a conversation. "Oh nothing is wrong, I just like to stare off into the distance and complain to myself for fun." Noah answered sarcastically, with Amber actually picking up on it unlike the others.
"So something is definitely wrong then. Why don't you just be more open with people? You make it hard for people to like you." Amber suggested, already slightly annoyed with how Noah talked.
Noah looked forward again when she tried to give him advice, uninterested in her idea. "That's kinda the point. I came here because I had to. The only thing bothering me is Alejandro still holding a grudge against me. He disqualifies me and keeps Tristan in for doing the same dance." Noah responded plainly, just keeping an eye on Katniss now.
Amber was suprised Tristan was allowed to keep going even though he copied someone, but she just chalked that up to bias. "So that's it? You're you, you wouldn't be that upset over losing a challenge." Amber further questioned him, thinking there was more than he was letting on.
"Woah, what an amazing detective you are. You're like Sherlock after taking those memory pills they give to old people. It's Alex that's bugging me more, I don't trust the guy." Noah further added, further suprising Amber.
She took one quick look over at Alex lazily dancing with Wolfy and didn't really see anything off about him. "What are you talking about? He can be a little overreacting at times, but he seems alright." Amber asked, a bit confused now.
Noah shook his head, now looking at her again. "I don't think that's who he really is. I was watching all of the episodes before I got on the show and he just seems very shady, like a snake slithering it's way through tar. It just somehow gets through, sticky and filthy. He's probably behind Trish, Laurie, and Summer all getting eliminated, so I wouldn't trust him." Noah explained his reasoning, having a slightly disgusted tone talking about Alex.
-Confessional: Noah-
"I know I said I wasn't planning on using what I've seen in those episodes, but I don't really care about that anymore. I'd prefer to not have another Alejandro making everything that much more difficult for everyone else."
-Confessional: Amber-
"Alex? Suspicious? No, I don't really see that. What's wrong with helping eliminate obvious threats? Trish and Laurie were traitors, and Summer was part of a big alliance, so what's the big deal? I'll have to ask Alex about it."
-End Confessionals-
The music had come to an end, and everyone that was still in the circle had successfully danced their way through the first leg of the challenge. As soon as the mariachi band stopped playing, Chris blew his airhorn again and walked up to the seven still standing in the circle. "Congrats so far, you all danced for five minutes straight! Which means you all get to participate in the second part of the challenge for invincibility!" Chris congratulated them all, while the six who had been disqualified were still sitting at the public benches.
As Chris had congratulated them, Chef wheeled over a massive wooden wagon full of avocados in front of him, which were obviously going to be part of the next challenge. "So what are all the avocados for?" Valerie asked, delighted to see them.
"Funny you should ask!" Chris laughed as he reached in and grabbed one from the wagon, tossing it up and down for a bit. "Avocados are commonly sourced from Mexico, so much so that even the cartels grow these things! They bring in tons of cash for them, so it's fitting that you'll be digging through these on your quest for cash!" Chris gave the reasoning for why they were here, which no one corrected him on since he was right for once.
Katniss walked up to the wagon and grabbed one out, wanting to just eat one. "Can we eat them? They look tasty." she asked, getting ready to crush the avocado and eat it's insides.
Chris snatched it from her before she could do so, tossing it back into the wagon. "Nuh uh uh! These avocados are for the challenge! Inside 13 of these avocados are nothing. They don't have any guac, no pit, nothing. You all have to find an empty avocado for yourselves, and then it's a mad dash to the Malecon Boardwalk where you'll find a statue of a seahorse rider! Find that, and you win invincibility in tonight's elimination!" Chris explained the challenge, which didn't sound too difficult to the players.
"What about us?" Marty asked, getting up from the bench and walking over to Chris. "What are we supposed to do then if we're out?" he added, gesturing to the other five sitting on the bench.
Chris shrugged, before just pointing to the cruise ship. "Just wait in there I guess. If you wanted something to do, you should have actually done the challenge. So you all will be handling the bathroom Matias was supposed to do before you all voted him off! Have fun!" Chris answered, making the group collectively grumble as they all headed for the cruise ship.
-Confessional: Marty-
"Okay, not the best question in hindsight. But hey, I get some time to talk the others into voting for Richard tonight. Summer, Matias, your eliminations won't be for nothing! We're gonna put that scum to an end!"
-End Confessional-
Once the six losers were gone, Chris looked at the seven still in the challenge and blew his airhorn. "Alright, you all can begin your search! Try not to get yourselves killed while searching!" Chris told them, quickly backing away from the wagon with a grin on his face.
Alex was the first to reach into the wagon, grabbing an avocado and going right to squeezing it apart. "Why did he tell us not to get ourselves killed? These are just avocados right?" Alex asked, before being met with an unpleasant suprise on the inside of the avocado.
Instead of a pit, there was a bomb that went off as soon as it was exposed to the other, launching Alex over the wagon and onto the hard cobblestone street. "What the heck!? Chris!?" Alex yelled as he slowly stood back up, both hands on his back as he stretched from that landing.
Chris chuckled that someone found one of the grenadocodos right away, putting on a serious face once he was done enjoying the moment. "Well Alex, you found one of my grenadocodos, which means you're out of the challenge! I should have probably mentioned that those were in there immediately, oops!" Chris explained that there were bombs in the avocados, which put everyone just a tad bit more on edge.
Alex walked back to the cruise ship once Chris said that he was out of the challenge, having the same idea as Marty for what to spend his time doing. It didn't take long for him to catch up with the others either, so he had plenty of time before the others would finish the challenge. Once on the ship, he quickly found Amber by herself just waiting for the challenge to end. She didn't have Valerie or Wolfy to talk to like she usually did. "Hey Amber, I was hoping to talk to you about something important." Alex greeted her, leaning against the railing of the ship with his back.
Amber was leaning forward on the railing, so she turned around when he greeted her. "Oh hey Alex, funny thing, I was actually hoping to talk to you as well." Amber greeted him back, giving a quick wave and slightly awkward smile.
Alex raised an eyebrow when she mentioned she wanted to talk to him, since they had barely interacted for most of the season. "Huh? What is it? I'll let you say your thing first, we might have the same thing we wanted to talk about." Alex asked her, hoping it was also about Richard.
Amber hesitated on her question, trying to think of how to word it nicely. "Well, Noah and I were talking, and he said that he doesn't trust you basically. Like at all, since he mentioned you were up to some shady stuff. I haven't seen the episodes, but he has, and he's saying you're behind Trish, Laurie, and Summer getting booted off." Amber explained, which completely changed Alex's plan in an instant.
"Oh Noah said that didn't he? What's wrong with voting for those three? Trish cost us a challenge, Laurie stole from us, and Summer was in a big alliance. What was I supposed to do? Just let all those things slide and get eliminated myself?" Alex asked rhetorically, shifting in targets. "Besides, those episodes don't even air until after the show is over, so how could he of all people have seen them? I think he's trying to trick you, like how he's already got Katniss on his side." he added for further 'proof'.
Amber gasped, immediately believing what Alex said. "Oh gosh, you're right! I'm glad I asked you about it first before I just blindly voted for you! Noah was really badmouthing you. He said you were like a snake slithering in tar!" Amber exclaimed, looking relieved now.
Alex nodded, faking a chuckle. "Of course, I'm glad you asked too. He was going to just widdle down the vote right under our feet! Do you wanna vote for him tonight just so he doesn't mess with anyone else?" he asked, to which Amber immediately nodded.
"Of course, I want to make sure that everyone in this game is playing fair, and Noah just isn't doing that. Valerie was dead set on voting for Richard tonight, but I'll see if I can change her mind." Amber agreed to vote for Noah, delighting Alex.
-Confessional: Alex-
"Oh Noah, I was hoping we could be allies for our time on the show, but I should have expected you of all people to wise up. Just like Trish and Laurie, anyone who starts to catch on must be dealt with. It's nothing personal, just strategy."

In the boys restroom, Marty, Max, and Noah were cleaning the floor with mops. All three of them were being rather lazy with their cleaning though, so it was taking a lot longer than it really needed to. Marty appreciated the time however, so he figured that now was a good time as any to make his move. "So guys, anyone you were planning on voting for after the challenge?" he asked, as though he was just striking up normal conversation.
Noah gave a shrug, never thinking about who to vote for very hard. "Well, I was planning on voting for Richard. Katniss really wants him gone. She said something about him kissing her, so that's an instant vote from me. I don't follow the drama, but I prefer Katniss over him anyway." Noah answered, before walking away to clean the floor in one of the stalls so he wouldn't have to talk any longer.
Marty sighed in relief that there were already two easy votes for Richard. He looked down at Max next, who was angrily mopping the floor like it had done something to him. "Hey Max, who are you voting for? Is it also Richard?" Marty asked the villain, hoping this would go just as quickly.
Max shook his head, pointing the handle end of his mop at Marty. "I'm voting for you cretin! How dare you talk to me like this!? Trying to talk to evil such as I is just asking for failure!" Max yelled, still bitter over losing the dancing challenge.
"Well what if I told you that... Richard was going to try and ruin your evil plan? He was telling me about it earlier." Marty came up with a quick fib on the spot, and of course it ended up working, as Max's anger towards Marty quickly disappeared.
Max stomped the ground angrily and tried to snap his mop in half, but ended up hurting his knee instead when he whacked his mop against it. "This always happens! My minions always try to foil my plans and betray me! Last time it was Scarlett, this time it was Richard! I must thank you for letting me know which one was a traitor. Now I know which minion will have some purpose!" Max then let out an evil laugh, before just going right back to mopping like nothing happened.
Marty blinked and just stared at Max for a few seconds in disbelief, but he just went back to mopping as well. That really just happened, Max believed a quick statement with zero evidence and switched who he would vote for on the spot. That was easy.
-Confessional: Max-
"No sidekick betrays their leader and gets away with it, Richard will be eliminated tonight and there is nothing he can do to save himself! Mwahahahahaha!"

Back in the town square, the six still in the challenge were opening up avocados still, and a lot slower thanks to Alex's mishap. It didn't take very long for Valerie to find an empty one though, as she knew right away when an avocado was hollow. "I got one!" she declared as she ripped it open to reveal that there was no guac or a pit inside.
Chris walked up to her and quickly inspected it, then giving her a thumbs up. "You got it Valerie! Now you just have to find the seahorse rider statue and you'll have your invincibility!" Chris told her, pointing in a random direction and letting her run off that way.
More pressure was placed onto everyone else now that Valerie was getting a head start, rushing through each avocado. "This is just luck isn't it? How do we even know if it's an empty one?" Tristan complained, smashing several avocados against the ground to split them open.
Raphael was using a similar tactic to Tristan as he threw several avocados on the ground and stomped on them. "Pretty much, so just break as many as you can soldier!" Raphael told him, continuing to stomp on avocados to see if any didn't have guac on them.
Katniss was taking a bite out of each avocado she grabbed to see if there was guac inside, but every single one that she had grabbed so far was filled. "There is a lot of good ones, why has only Valerie found one!?" Katniss complained as well, not wanting Valerie to win a challenge simply for being Valerie.
Wolfy and Brinley were opening up avocados at a slower pace than everyone else were, but they were both afraid of getting a grenadocodo. "Where the heck did you even get the bombs to put in these? This seems super illegal Chris!" Brinley asked, debating on whether to open an avocado that felt a little heavier than the others.
"None of the concerns you." Chris replied quickly, crossing his arms and looking at her seriously for a moment. "All that matters is if you get blown up or not! So get opening so I can have my footage!" Chris demanded, pointing at the wagon.
Brinley rolled her eyes and went back to opening, ignoring the heavy one and tossing it back into the wagon. Wolfy had found a heavy one too, and then quickly got an idea on how to find which ones were empty. "Oh my friend Vines is really into this kind of stuff actually! You can tell if it's an empty one by the shape!" Wolfy exclaimed, reaching into the wagon and pulling out a more rounded one.
Wolfy squeezed it and it folded in like a tennis ball rather than spilling guacomole. "Like that! If they're rounded, then they won't have a pit since there is less room for one!" Wolfy held out the empty avocado to Chris, who gave her a thumbs up.
Wolfy was about to run off, but she had no idea where the Malecon Boardwalk actually was. "Hey Chris, which way is that boardwalk you were talking about?" she asked, looking around in slight confusion.
Chris looked around for a moment, before pointing west towards a road that led to another part of the beach. "That way, I'm pretty sure. You better get going if you want to beat Valerie there!" Chris answered, chuckling as Wolfy hurried down the road.
Tristan watched her leave, just a tad bit confused. "Wait, but did you tell Valerie to go in the opposite direction?" Tristan asked, pointing in the way Chris originally pointed towards when Valerie found her avocado.
Chris looked that way and realized what he had done, before then just dismissing it with a shrug. "Oh yeah, I did. Whoops. Well she'll have to hope that she realizes she went the wrong way before Wolfy makes it then!" Chris laughed at the situation and then walked away to keep a safe distance from the avocado wagon just in case another blast would go off.
-Confessional: Tristan-
"I know Chris tends to just make all of this stuff up on the spot, but seriously dude? Valerie got robbed, which is pretty unfair, and I don't even like her!"
-End Confessional-
Wolfy was running by herself down the road, taking a quick glance every so often to see if anyone was on her tail yet. The boardwalk wasn't very far away from the town square, and she quickly saw it as she stepped out onto the beach. "Whew, this one is in the bag!" Wolfy celebrated early as she dashed across the sand towards the boardwalk.
Unfortunately for her, Raphael had followed her advice on how to find an empty avocado and quickly found one, so he was sprinting towards the boardwalk as well. Wolfy had a decent headstart over Raphael, but his speed was easily greater than hers. "Oh shoot, no you don't!" Wolfy yelled as she tried to pick up the pace, stepping onto the wooden boardwalk and now looking for the statue in question.
Raphael continued to sprint, stepping onto the wooden boardwalk shortly after her. "Pick up the pace if you want to win soldier!" Raphael shouted as the gap became smaller and smaller.
The statue of a man riding a seahorse was just 30 feet in front of Wolfy, right at the end of the boardwalk. Raphael was only 20 feet behind her now though, so things seemed rather bleak for her.
Wolfy was 20 feet away, Raphael 30.
Wolfy was just 10 feet away and the seconds felt even longer than they really were, and Raphael was just 15 feet away from it.
Both of them then dived at the statue, and only one of them had managed to place a hand on the base of the statue. Chef was waiting for them there, and he grabbed the hand of the contestant that had touched the statue first. He turned on his walkie talkie to get in touch with Chris, ready to deliver the result of who got to the statue first.
"Wolfy is the winner of today's challenge everyone! She gets immunity and can bring the person of her choice with her to the hangout room!" Chris announced, setting his walkie talkie to broadcast through the loudspeakers on the ship as well.
Raphael stood up and helped Wolfy off the ground, shaking her hand. "Congrats on your win soldier! You really kicked it into gear at the end, that was a fair victory! I look forward to our next challenge, and you won't be winning next time!" Raphael congratulated Wolfy, giving her a salute once he let go of her hand.
Wolfy gave a quick salute back, giggling. "Thanks Raph! You came really close too! If we left at the same time, you would have easily won that." Wolfy thanked him as the two began to walk back to the ship with Chef.
Everyone made their way back to the stern of the ship near the off ramp when Chris had delivered the news of who won the challenge. "So, Wolfy is the winner of today's challenge, which means that rest of you will be voting someone off tonight to take a ride in the Cannon of Shame!" Chris announced to everyone now that they were all in person, which changed nearly nothing for what everyone had planned.
Alex of course knew he had to take action right now, since everyone was here. "Huh, so Wolfy managed to beat out Raphael in a footrace? Well that sounds like a snake making it's way through tar, wouldn't you say so Noah?" Alex asked bitterly, glaring at Noah.
Noah's eyes widened when Alex pretty much quoted him, letting out a small nervous chuckle. "Oh, Amber told you about that? Well, that's actually a compliment in case you didn't know. It means you can get through just about anything. Since you know, tar is super sticky." Noah tried to deflect, but Alex wasn't buying it.
"Is that so? Well answer me this Noah, who did you vote for in the last ceremony?" Alex asked, crossing his arms and keeping the pressure on Noah.
Noah wasn't aware of what the alliance had been planning, so he didn't see anything wrong with the question. "Oh, I voted for Matias. What's wrong with that?" Noah answered, just a bit on edge now that Alex had put him on the spot.
"Oh nothing. Nothing at all Noah, that's all we needed to hear." Alex replied with a grin, looking over at Brinley and Tristan and nodding at them, to which they nodded back. Noah saw them nod and facepalmed, realizing what was going to happen now.
-Confessional: Marty-
"Sure Noah went along with voting for Matias, but I still want Richard gone. It should have been Matias in his spot, and I've already got plenty of people voting against him. Noah can wait right?"
-Confessional: Noah-
"Two episodes. Two whole episodes is how long my stay here is it seems. Less than Total Drama Island, which I'm not sure if that is a good or bad thing at this point to be honest. I want to get out of here, but not in this way."
-Confessional: Valerie-
"GRAAAAAGH! Chris made me lose the challenge! I don't care who goes home, I was voting for the perv no matter what, but I was robbed of a night in that hangout room!"
-Confessional: Richard-
"I think everyone is gunning for me again, I don't know who else they would go for. Aside from Noah it seems, so I'll just have to vote for him and hope I placed my bets in the right spot. Sorry Noah."
-Confessional: Wolfy-
"Alex told me that we should vote for Noah, and I wouldn't mind doing that. I won a challenge by myself, so I'm more than happy today!"
-Confessional: Brinley-
"Well Alex is clearly going for Noah now, so yeah. You messed up dude. At least you won't have to be here much longer, I feel you there."
-Confessional: Tristan-
"Phew, I was worried that I was going to lose Richard today. Now I have someone I can vote for instead. I'll have six allies going forward with 12 people left after tonight. I've basically won the game now."
-End Confessionals-
Later that night, everyone had gathered on the bow of the ship after voting and sat down on the two long benches in front of the bonfire. In the back row from left to right was Marty, Brinley, Tristan, Alex, Max, Yvette, and Richard in that order. In the front row was Amber, Valerie, Wolfy, Raphael, Katniss, and Noah in that order. Everyone had a solid idea of who would be going home in their head, so there wasn't too much tension compared to last time.
Chris walked out with a piece of paper, smirking at the contestants as he walked over in front of the fire. "I don't think I need to build up tension this time. Our loser with six votes to his name tonight is Noah! Adios amigo! Sayonara, asta lavista, ole!" Chris just announced out of the blue, suprising many while leaving others just satisfied.
Noah stood up from his seat as Chris began to spout out nonsense, annoyed with all the racist talk. "If I just go will you stop it?" Noah asked, already turning to walk towards the cannon.
He was stopped by Chef though, and Chris wagged a finger at him. "Not just yet Noah my man, because you aren't our only loser tonight! Richard also got six votes to his name! So we've got a tie on our hands!" Chris told him, shocking the half that weren't shocked and still mildly suprising the other half.
Richard stood up in his seat when Chris made the announcement, looking over at Noah and then back at Chris. "What's going to happen then? Are we both out?" he asked nervously, while Alex just leaned back in his seat with a smile. If both went out, that'd be a win win for him.
Chris shook his head while Chef brought out a tray with bright red-orange peppers on them and two glasses of milk. "Nope! I wouldn't have skipped the whole ceremony if I was just booting you both out. We'll be settling this with a spicy tiebreaker!" Chris answered, gesturing for the two of them to walk over to him.
Noah and Richard walked over to the tray in front of Chef, eyeing the peppers with mixed levels of concern. "So what's our tiebreaker then?" Richard asked, getting a pang of dread.
"I'm glad you asked Richard, you and Noah will be chowing down on ghost peppers! Fun right? You'll both eat one, then another, and another, and you'll both keep going until one of you takes a drink of milk to cool it. Spicccccccyyyyy!" Chris explained the tiebreaker, making both of them visibly cringe.
Chef held out one pepper for each of them to take, which they both grabbed and popped into their mouths. Richard looked back at Yvette for a moment, who was watching him intently from her seat. "You can tough this out, try to avoid contact with the tongue!" she called out to him, trying to help.
Yvette even helping him was enough motivation for Richard to bear the taste of the pepper, although his face still turned red as he chewed and tried to eat the pepper. Noah's face had turned red as well, closing his eyes and trying to think of all the spicy foods he had eaten with Owen in the past. "This is nothing... this is nothing..." he thought to himself as he chewed as well.
Both had made it through the first pepper after around 20 seconds, already suffering plenty. Richard was panting heavily and trying to breathe in the cool air while Noah kept his mouth shut to grin and bear it. "Alright! Second pepper time!" Chris said, letting Chef hand them both another pepper. Both boys took it and popped them into their mouths.
Noah took things quicker this time, chewing and swallowing right away. "Done, next one!" Noah let out, his face just as red as before, but it was clear he was handling this better than Richard.
Seeing that Noah had already finished his pepper in a matter of seconds wasn't motivating at all, and it had distracted him a bit as well. The pepper he had been chewing now made contact with his tongue and his eyes shot wide open. "Hot! Hoooot!" he shrieked as he quickly grabbed the glass of milk and chugged it down, then spitting out the pepper.
Noah sighed in relief as Richard drank the milk, grabbing the other glass and drinking it himself. "That settles it, Richard is tonight's loser! Noah gets to compete yet another day!" Chris announced, delighting most of the people in the benches. Alex was frustrated, but at least Richard was out of the way.
Richard looked down depressedly at the ground and frowned, since he knew what was next. Yvette got out of her seat and walked over to him while Noah backed away to let them have their moment. "Richard... I feel a great sympathy for your loss. I will miss you." she told him, making Richard look up at her and his frown slightly fading.
"Yvette, I'm going to miss you too. But at least I got to meet you. I hope we can still be a thing when all of this is over." Richard told her, giving her a hug, which Yvette returned shortly after.
Yvette didn't make the hug last that long though, breaking it and still looking at him seriously. "Can I finally tell you what the 'but' was when I told you that I like you?" she asked him, which wasn't something Richard wanted to hear still.
Richard hesitated, but he finally nodded his head. "Go ahead. We might not see each other for a long time, so might as well." he answered, sighing and bracing for the impact of being turned down.
Yvette took a deep breath, thinking of the best way to word it. "I like you too, but I didn't want it to get in the way of the competition. Now that you have been eliminated, it is no longer an issue." she told him, which suprised Richard who had expected rejection.
"Wait, seriously? So... does that mean..." Richard began to put two and two together, to which Yvette nodded, already knowing what he was thinking.
"Yes. We can pursue a relationship. Once I win, we can spend as much time together as we want. Normally I would ask about STDs or prepare in other ways for something like this, but I don't think it is needed here..." Yvette replied, before pulling him into a kiss.
The two of them kissed while everyone else sitting in the benches reacted with mostly disgusted faces. "That's kinda sweet, even if it is Richard. At least he'll leave everyone else alone from now on." Amber said, now getting ready to leave, which everyone else started to do the same.
Their kiss probably would have went on longer, but Chef pulled Richard away and carried him to the Cannon of Shame. He was tossed in and given a parachute, but he was smiling now. "Goodbye Yvette, I love yoUUUUUUUUUU!" Richard shouted as he was shot off into the distance, while Yvette blew a kiss and wave goodbye to him.
-Confessional: Noah-
"I feel bad that Richard had to go, but it was him or me. I will say thanks to Owen for preparing me for that kind of challenge. He's made me try way too much spicy foods. But it all finally helped for once. Thanks big guy."
-Confessional: Alex-
"Noah may have gotten lucky this time, but he won't be able to get off easily next elimination. This snake slithers through even the thickest of tar, and it's prey has already been trapped!"
-Confessional: Valerie-
"Adios menso! I will not miss that little pervert! He almost slipped through the cracks again, but props to Noah for toughing it out! Anyone that takes out Richard is a friend of mine!"
-End Confessionals-
Everyone left to their rooms one by one while Chris remained in front of the bonfire, looking towards the camera. "Richard's gone, I thought I'd be saying that in like episode four! But now that he's gone, who will Valerie's anger be directed towards next? What will become of Noah? Can Raphael win a challenge for once? Find out next time, on Total, Drama, Revenge of the Cruise Ship!"

Yeah, Richard is finally gone people! I know a lot of people expected him to be filler, but I hope you all enjoyed the run he had. His plotline with Yvette could only get him so far with so many targets on his back. We learned a bit more about some contestants today, and things are still building up! Richard going out just opened up a whole other can of worms. I really enjoyed using him though, and developing him like this was the best way to handle a character like this. Up next we'll be travelling somewhere in the Bermuda triangle, so look forward to that! As always, have a good day all of you and be sure to leave a review, the feedback always helps!
Uno, dos, tres, quatro, (that's all I know before googling so let's just get to the reviews)
AnnoyingAlarmClock: Nice to hear that the veterans meshed well with the OCs! That was my main concern was bringing them in, which was why some didn't make the cut, but Noah and Max for sure fit in based on all the reviews. Amber and Valerie definitely have a problematic friendship though. Hope this challenge lived up to what you were looking forward to!
Nobody245: Katniss is for sure getting in a better and better spot with each passing episode, there's only one big obstacle in her way now before she's completely unstoppable it would seem. Noah and Katniss could be a fun final two, although friendship finales aren't exactly my area of expertise. You'll just have to see which of them if either make it that far! Not suprised that you don't have much faith in Max though, no one does.
NightwolfGamer3: You did call Wolfy winning immunity, so good on you there! This won't be the last time her friends' knowledge comes in clutch either, so I hope you look forward to that! I know you expected Blaster or Crustacean, but Firefly and Vines seemed more fitting here honestly.
Primione394: Brinley definitely has grown as a person, and she is still in a good spot despite the love triangle fiasco, so don't count her out just yet! Noah and Katniss got a lot of good reception, and it's nice to see. I'll be sure to deliver more moments with them! Max just lost one of his minions, but he's just a wild card at this point as far as votes go. See you next time!
Alexneushoorn: Glad that you enjoyed this episode, (and the analysis always brings me a smile no matter how many times I read time, glad that you all are reading the close details). Raphael got close yet again this episode, but he's been a good sport about it both times, so all is well! I know it seems like he's in the background more than before, but there a lot of plotlines taking a spotlight right now, so I hope you understand. But now the reign of Richard escaping the bottom two of elimination ceremonies has finally come to an end. It was a fun running gag, but it realistically had to stop here. The alliance is just being weakened more and more as you saw, now that Alex is getting involved. See you next time and thanks for reviewing as always!
Attackin2: Well unfortunately, Valerie got the last laugh in this case, but at least Richard left on good terms right? Sorry for eliminating him, but I think that this plotline was better for him than just letting float through as the guy no one noticed. Valerie isn't completely free either, since she's made plenty of enemies. I hope you continue to enjoy reading even if he's gone, and thanks for reviewing!
MatiasND aka 'a: Thanks for continuing to read, but yeah, I like to make a lot of eliminations a suprise if they aren't blatantly obvious.
Peskybirb: Well Richard did go out as a good guy as you were hoping, I think his story was nicely wrapped up here. Chris's challenges are typically (and poorly) stereotypical, so it doesn't take much to expect that from him.
Richard's Audition Tape:
Richard was sitting on his bed in a dimly lit room, staring fairly creepily at the camera. "Hello everyone. I'm Richard Wright. I'm just... kinda that guy. You know? Like, everyone knows someone who's just that guy. That guy who doesn't really do much... or say much... or really make much of an impression on anyone..." Richard introduced himself and started to ramble, while the video seemed to get more and more distorted over time before entirely fading to black.
