When Thatch's eyes opened Casper was already up, preparing pancakes. The vampire sighed. But before he could have complained he noticed Ra sitting on the kitchen table.
Thatch was annoyed. Once again the ghost didn't stick to the plan. The vampire scoffed towards his fake boyfriend and hugged him from behind.
The blueeyed boy blushed. "Hey babe." Thatch yawned. "G-good morning." The ghost stuttered. "Smells good." He muttered inbetween soft neckkisses.
"Boo get a room." Dummy Girl giggled as she sat down. "Don't you want to sit down...Hon?" Casper asked. Thatch only responded with a yawn and sat down next to Dummy.
He looked up when Casper put a plate with pancakes in front of him. While Thatch stuffed the food into his mouth the last two got up and joined them.
Mantha was still tired and leaned against Ra. Though she flinched when he told her about his parents. "They what?" The zombie gasped. "They want to meet you." The prince explained.
There was not much that could Mantha lose her cool, but Ra's parents obviously were able to do it. To be fair his parents were scary. Not in a monstery way...well not just.
They were strict and awfully protective of their son. Oh and honest, brutally honest. Last year they did let Casper and Mantha know how much they despise their friendship to their son.
So Mantha had a problem. "Calm down babe. They'll love you. They have to." Ra promised, though seeming not like he did believe himself.
Casper at first looked at his friends with worry in his eyes. The zombie sighed and took herself a few minutes to calm down. Seeing her smile again made him realize Mantha was tough she could deal with them.
The vampire bit his fork. Why had mummy boys parents needed to ruin his plans? Well at least they could focus on Dummy and Slither then.
"Babe did you buy the tickets?" The doll asked looking at Slither who was emtying the whole bottle of maple syrup onto his pancakes. "Tickets for what?" The Thatch asked with a bad feeling. "Dummy- we wanted to go to the water park." The snake creature muttered.
He could feel Casper grinning mischievously. Son of a bitch! Their friends did stay for a short while before everyone needed to prepare.
When they left Thatch fell back onto the sofa. "Great." The vampire sulked. "Poor boy." Casper grinned while he grabbed the blankets to take them to the laundry machine. "Fuck off." The taller one hissed.
Now what? Now he had two options. Spending the day with Mosshead or with Casper.
An hour later they were sitting on a a staircase at the school ground. Thatch leaned against the rail while Casper layed on his back.
Their hands layed close so they could grab it in emergency cases. "So you tell me you asked her if you could keep her." The vampire wheezed. "Yeah I know I suck at flirting." The blue eyed one snickered cringing over himself.
"And that's why Mantha fell for Ra and not for me." Casper added. "Nah that's not the reason. I'm fucking attractive and charming and Dummy didn't fall for me." Thatch explained.
The ghost turned over. "That's just what you think." He joked. Thatch seemed insulted: "Maybe Zombie girl just was turned off by your virgin like kissing."
An eyeroll. "Maybe I just don't want to kiss you." The ghost muttered. "Yeah of course." Thatch laughed. "You don't believe me?" Casper asked. "No, not really-"
For the first time Thatch was caught of guard as Casper sat up. Neither did he see the ghost's action of pulling him closer coming. It was quick and seemed oddly needy.
Blue met purple. Thatch would have lied if he said he wasn't curious about Casper's next step. The ghost had never looked at him that way. A glimpse of confidence mixed with playfullness.
The vampire flinched when he rechieved a quick kiss on the nose. "You're right I'm too much of a chicken." Casper snorted and let go of Thatch.
The ghost was only half joking. He really didn't have the courage to kiss Thatch. He was right after all. "Fuck you." The vampire muttered seeming amused though.
Casper leaned back again. Silence. Uncomfortable one. "Do you like- music?" The ghost asked awkwardly. "Who doesn't?" Thatch muttered. The blueeyed one mumbled: "Well you seem like someone to dislike music."
"I'm a dickhead not a psychopath." The vampire joked. Casper was glad that his fakeboyfriend was equaly bad at delivering jokes. "What kind of music?" He asked after Thatch didn't answer anything else.
The taller one took a glimpse at Casper. "What do you think?" He asked. "I don't know that's why I'm asking."
Thatch kept quiet for a minute. "Classical." He answered. The ghost smiled and explained. "It's oddly fitting. Even though I wouldn't have guessed that." He mumbled.
Thatch marveled: "The peak of music was reached during the classical era." The ghost snorted. "Nah, not really. I mean classical music sounds so... try hard you know."
Casper sat up when Triclops passed them. Thatch did the same but pulled casper down to the ghosts head layed on his tigh.
A questioning look. "Looks more romantic and we annoy the shit out of people." Casper roled his eyes.
Then they became silent for a while. Casper played with Thatch's hand as more and more students passed well... stepped over Casper's legs. The vampires's fingers had little scars on his fingers. Especially on his index finger
"I'm thirsty." The ghost sighed after a while. "Then get yourself soda idot." The taller one muttered. Casper got up very clumsily. He was ready to go as Thatch grabbed his wrist. "Can I get AB?" He asked and kissed Casper's fingers as someone passed them. The blue eyed one nodded.
So Casper was on his way to the vending machine. It was odd. Thatch asked him rather nicely to do something for him. Okay of course it could have been more polite or he could have used a 'please' in the sentence but- It was the nicest way Thatch hat ever talked to him. When he was himself.
Due to beeing caught in his on thoughts he bumped into Wolfie. "Oh hey sorry mate... A..are you ..okay?" Casper asked since his friend was heavily breathing and playing with his fingers.
He flinched. "No! I have a date with Monaco." Casper looked confused. "Well isn't that a good thing?"
The werewolf groaned. "Yeah but- Ra and Mantha were supposed to come with us but Ra's parents are in town so they jumped off. I can't do this alone I'll totally blow this." Wolfie explained in panic.
Casper layed his hand on his friends shoulder. He tryed to calm him down: "Hey calm down you can do this. You're a smart and sweet guy she'll like you." "Thanks Casper. It's just I'd feel safe with we'd have another couple with us you know. I just don't know a couple besides... Wait a minute. You think you and Thatch could join us? We're watching a movie and then we'll probably get some food and..."
The ghost interrupted him. "Woah woah chill. I don't know if Thatch-"
"Pleasee" Wolfie sulked obviously he could give the best puppy eyes. Casper sighed. "You sick fuck. We're in." he promised with a smile. Wolfie hugged him and the ghost couldn't count the amount of thank yous he got.
"I'll pick you up at eight see ya." Wolfie yelled excitedly and then he was gone. The ghost stood there for solid ten minutes questioning if this actually happened.
Then he realized that he still had to tell Thatch. So with shakey legs he walked back outside where Thatch was talking to Mosshead.
"No no dude I swear she's into me." Mosshead explained. Thatch didn't even try to seem interested. "Hey Hon." Casper greeted nervously.
The ghost got pulled closer by Thatch who answered his greeting with quick kiss on the lips. Casper opened his mouth to say something but Mosshead was way faster.
Mosshead tilted his head. "I don't buy it." He expressed. "Don't buy what?" The vampire hissed. "This. You can't tell me you're actually dating." The green haired boy snorted.
Thatch seemed caught if guard for a second. The ghost could feel the vampire's mucles tensing. "You aren't gay Thatch I know you." He losened up. "You're just an idiot man." The taller one hissed oddly reliefed.
Now Casper interrupted Mosshead. "Uhm... Babe we need to go." He muttered pulling Thatch along back inside. Silence.
"You think he knows?" The ghost asked after a while. Thatch shook his head and put his hands in his pockets. "Nah he's too stupid for that. He can't grasp the thought of me beeing not straight you know." He almost smirked.
Casper made an oh sound and looked away again. "Where are our drinks?" Thatch asked in his usual rough tone. "Oh yeah sorry- uhm... I need to tell you something." The ghost stuttered. The taller one raised an eyebrow. "Uh we're having a double date... With Wolfie and Monaco... surprise"
Thatch was ready to yell at Casper and Casper was obviously ready to be yelled at. "What? Why?! You can't just- I don't want to go on a date with either of those losers or you!" He screamed. "Well I promised him. I'm helping my friend and if you want this to work you need to help me out. You're out here inviting people to my house so I can invite us to a date." The ghost contered.
The vampire growled before pushing Casper against the lockers pining him against them. "You don't have the power to-" He got cut off by Flyboy's lispy voice. "What are you doing here?"
"Foreplay! Fuck off insect!" Thatch hissed. Casper grinned apologeticly as Flyboy left in a hurry. "Dude come on. You wanted everyone to know were a couple. We can brag about it after wards." The ghost promised.
Thatch clenched his teeth before stepping back. "You owe me one." The ghost nodded quickly.
They had two more hours until Wolfie and Monaco would pick them up.
