As the tired, broken boys pushed open the doors, they met the eyes of the only god in the throne room. Seeing how bad they looked, Apollo, who had been listening to music on his throne, jumped down and ran to them, his headphones disappearing with a click of his fingers.

What was he listening to? Judging by the elevator music, nothing good, Alex thought dryly.

"Guys what's wrong? Are you injured? Can I help?" The god asked worriedly, looking at the two.

Alex spoke up and explained the situation to the sun god, who winced every few words.

"I don't know why my fatal flaw didn't kick in, but Percy's did," Alex continued after telling the story. "I mean, as a son of Poseidon, mine should be loyalty as well, right?"

Apollo frowned. "Maybe it's because you didn't really spend enough proper time with the campers to get attached to them. Your loyalty is probably all focused towards Percy," the god of healing replied. It's the only real explanation I can give you right now. I promise I'll do everything I can to help you two. Let me call the rest of the council."

Apollo grew to his godly size again and sat down on his throne. His golden bow materialised in his hands and he shot an arrow with a shaft of pure sunlight into the night sky.

Within seconds all of the Olympian gods started appearing. The most notable appearance was when Zeus flashed in adjusting his clothes, and Hera immediately started glaring at him.

Yeah, Percy and Alex could've guessed what he'd been up to.

"WHY HAS THIS MEETING BEEN CALLED? WHO WAS IT?" Zeus boomed, both uncomfortable and slightly confused.

Apollo slowly raised his hand. "It was me. It has come to my attention that the demigods at camp half blood have seen fit to throw out the two sons of Poseidon, and-" he was cut off as the god of the seas slammed his trident down on the ground in rage.

"HOW DARE THEY? Who has done this to my sons? I'll kill them." His voice had dropped to a furious whisper by the end of the rage filled statement.

"You will do none of that, Poseidon," the king of the gods said. "I'm hearing prayers from my two children, telling me that Perseus Jackson is a traitor and should not be trusted in any way." Percy and Alex flinched, then scowled in anger. How dare those two idiots spread this absolute madness about them.

"I trust my children completely, so I think we should execute these demigods immediately. And go back to what we were doing." He muttered the last sentence while Hera turned her death glare upon him again.

"All in favour?" He asked, louder.

Some gods sneered at Percy in glee, others looked at him in sympathy. None of them knew quite what to make of Alex yet, so nobody really paid much attention to him. He looked around to see how it would go. It seemed to be that if the god raised their master weapon or symbol, they were voting in favour.

Zeus had his master bolt firmly in the air, and Hera had raised her sceptre resolutely as well. Athena had her spear up, scoffing at Percy, and Ares' broadsword was up in the same position as he grinned evilly at the demigod who had beaten him in a duel.

The twin gods, Apollo and Artemis, put their bows firmly in their laps and glared at anyone who voted against the demigods. Apollo loved his friend Percy, and wanted to get to know Alex as well. His sister knew that Percy was at least one of the only respectable males out there, and if Alex was to follow his example then he wouldn't be too bad either.

Dionysus looked lazily at Percy, remembered all the demigods 'rudeness', and lifted his thrysus up. Hephaestus and Demeter looked uncertain for a few moments. Then Demeter lifted her scythe and following he example, Hephaestus lifted his war hammer hesitantly.

Hermes, for the same reasons as Apollo and due to the whole situation with Luke, went as far as laying his Caduceus on the ground, while George and Martha told him to put them in battle mode against any god who voted for the demigods' execution.

Aphrodite looked lustily at Percy, then due to her domain noticed the absolute heartbreak rolling off of the despairing demigod. Knowing he couldn't possibly be in the wrong with that type of attitude, she raised her girdle, which she had asked Piper to get from the Big House for her.

Poseidon just threw his trident point first at the ground, so hard that it sunk in quite deeply. Ironically, when it speared the mosaic on the floor, the three prongs impaled the heads of Zeus, Hera and Athena. He smiled at that, at least.

Alex looked around in horror. No, this couldn't be right. He counted again. Seven to five in favour. No, this simply couldn't be happening. They'd come to Olympus seeking help, and they get executed?

Percy brokenly looked around. It was as if he just couldn't catch a break today. What the Hades had he done wrong to deserve all this. If he ever saw Tyche, the goddess of luck, he'd kill her where she stood. He didn't care if she was a deity or not, he'd massacre her. And look at Alex. He didn't deserve this at all. He'd barely even gotten accustomed to everything, and he was about to die.

As his gaze travelled over the Olympians, he just watched their reactions as they counted the vote. Zeus, Hera and Athena grinned in evil glee. Poseidon, Apollo and Hermes almost seemed to shrink into their thrones in sadness and grief. Dionysus had gone back to sleep, the prick, and Demeter and Hephaestus just looked a little bit uncomfortable.

Aphrodite just stared at him sadly, and Artemis had a look he couldn't quite decipher on her face. Ares just glared at the demigods, but then said something that surprised everyone.

"The kid defeated me. I don't want him to have a dishonourable death, at least let him go out in glory. I will duel with him to the death."
