Seth Rollins comes between the DX family and Brock Lesnar makes Becky Lynch an offer she can't refuse as DX fight to keep NXT away from Stephanie McMahon.
Chapter Eight – Georgia Tea
New Year's Day, Rhodes Household, Marietta, Georgia
Kenny Omega and Kendrick Alexander were spending New Year's with the Rhodes family and the Young Bucks in Georgia. They invited AJ Styles and Finn Balor who brought an unexpected guest, Becky Lynch.
She wanted to see Finn Balor and share a New Year's Day kiss with him. Balor was much more interested in Becky's conversation to Christianity than her rosy lips, not to mention her new Gift of Flight. Kendrick Alexander was in total shock that Becky could fly without the help of the aerodynamic arm she had made for her. It could only be the Lord that would make such a thing happen, to Becky, it wasn't the question of whether or not the Lord did it, she knew Jesus did it, he told her so himself. Becky was wondering why he did it. There was a lot she didn't understand about Christianity other than what she had learned at school.
"Well I guess you didn't need my help after all," Kendrick Alexander said as Becky hugged her.
"Happy New Year's Kendrick. I'm sure you can find some use for your crazy scientist skills at the Pentagon, I guess God needed me more than you did, who am I to argue with the Man Upstairs?" Becky Lynch said as AJ Styles hugged the rest of the Bullett Club.
"I can't believe you can actually fly, how did it even happen?" Cody Rhodes asked Becky.
"It was thanks to Seth Rollins and Bianca Belair. They're both Christians and they encouraged me to have faith in God, I guess I just stepped out in faith for the first time in my life. I didn't even know what I was doing when I listened to them, I just did what they both told me to do and before I knew it, I was crashing onto the Hollywood Hills with a brand new arm," Becky Lynch said and the Young Bucks nodded impressed.
"So how do you fly with it?" Matt Jackson asked Becky.
"First it gets really hot, like a car engine, then I just take off," Becky said. "It has to be the coolest thing I've ever had happen to me, besides main eventing Wrestlemania of course," Becky said confidently. "That's something that you two will never do,"
Matt and Nick Jackson laughed, "Wrestlemania's in the past and that's just where your career will be if you stay with DX Inc," Nick replied. "I love your hair by-the-way, the Shawn Michaels look really suits you,"
Becky looked at Cody, "Was he being sarcastic just then?" she asked and Cody nodded that Nick was being sarcastic. Becky grabbed Nick by the back of his neck and drew him really close to her, "I'd suggest you watch your mouth little man, or I'll drop you in the next erupting volcano,"
"Hey Bex easy!" AJ Styles said separating Nick Jackson from the former Women's Champion, "you don't know Nick's sense of humor, he was just testing you to see if you hadn't gotten soft that's all,"
"Soft? What am I a lamb? There's nothing soft about me, I'm as hard as they come," Becky Lynch replied. "What you think just because I'm a Christian now I'm gonna let your tiny little friends mouth off to me? I'm pretty sure I could kick the Youngs Bucks' butt at any event but I'd prefer to do it at an event that people actually watch, like Wrestlemania,"
"Wow, there she goes drinking that DX Kool Aid," Cody Rhodes said. "You had so many options when you got out of prison Becky and you chose to go running back to your daddy's house. I hope you do better at NXT, God knows, Shawn and Hunter could use the help. From what Kenny's been telling me, they might not be running things for much longer in Orlando. It might be something for us boys to keep an eye on. Whad'ya say Bucks? Fancy expanding our little territory to Orlando after DX lose control of it?"
The Young Bucks nodded, "Yeah, then maybe we could have that match Becky. I'd love to see you try to take us both on," Matt Jackson said and Kenny Omega interrupted the conversation.
"I'm pretty sure she'd mop the floor with both of you. That's my NXT compadre your talking to boys, I'd show Becky the appropriate respect, she's the only thing – besides me, that's going to keep NXT going this year. You bet your a* DX need her, they need me too, especially with Seth and Sasha moving on after Wrestlemania," Kenny said and Becky blanched at Omega's comments.
"The Black and Blue Connection isn't going anywhere, stop talking about things you don't know Kenny. And as for you two, if I see you anywhere near Orlando this year, it will be the last time your parents will be able to recongise you, do I make myself clear?" Becky Lynch said to Nick and Matt Jackson who backed up in fear, feeling suddenly out-ranked by Becky.
Finn Balor smiled as Becky showed her loyalty to DX and the NXT brand. Her fire was exactly what the promotion needed, Cody saw it too and he liked it a lot.
"See you in the New Year Bex," Cody Rhodes said raising a glass to Becky Lynch and Becky resisted the temptation to raise her middle finger at him and she put her arm around Finn Balor instead and kissed him lovingly.
"Happy New Year Finn," she said as she kissed his soft Irish lips.
"Happy New Year Becky, I'm so glad you're back," Finn said and they shared a sweet kiss while Kenny Omega looked around for Alexa Bliss, he was sure AJ would have brought her with him on New Year's Day.
"Where's Lil' Miss Bliss?" Kenny asked AJ Styles.
"She's in New York sorting out Seth Rollins' mess as usual. I gotta get her away from him, Rollins has totally taken over her life and he's going to do the same to Becky too. He's already got Bianca Belair in trouble with her husband, there's got to be a way to get Alexa out of his cool clutches before its too late and she ends up like Bayley," AJ Styles said.
"So, she turned down your re-proposal?" Kenny Omega said and AJ nodded, "Maybe there's something I can do to help you out. Alexa's an old friend of mine, I think its time she saw just how competitive Seth Rollins can be,"
AJ shook his head, "Don't waste your time Kenny, she'll never believe a word you say if you say anything bad about Seth. She worships the ground he walks on,"
Kenny turned to his girlfriend who was pressed up to him under his arm, "Show him the article Kenny," Kenny said to Kendrick.
"You call your girlfriend Kenny?" AJ Styles said.
"I think its cute," Kendrick said and she showed AJ Styles the cover of the latest Muscle and Fitness magazine. It was of Kenny and Kendrick and next to the photo of the couple, it said that Kenny Omega was the greatest wrestler who ever lived.
AJ's mouth dropped when he saw it, "OMG, when Seth sees this he's going to flip!" AJ said.
"I know, because its true. I am the greatest wrestler of all time and this article is going to show Alexa just how Seth really feels about his career, which is something we've all known for a long time," Kenny Omega said.
"I just hope Alexa will be able to handle it," AJ Styles said.
"She won't," Kenny Omega said and he kissed Kendrick while AJ Styles looked at the magazine cover hoping that Kenny's plan to untangle Alexa from Seth's steel grip would work, so he would have someone to kiss this year, preferably Alexa Bliss.
"Shut up Becky!" Kenny Omega yelled as Becky Lynch laughed herself into a fit looking at Kenny's latest magazine cover.
Finn Balor covered his face at Kenny's anger at Becky's laughter, "If you're the greatest wrestler that ever lived, what does that make me? The greatest wrestler of all space and time? No, that's Broken Matt Hardy. Finn, help me up I think Hell just froze over. I need to show Seth this and give him something to laugh about,"
"Fine, show it to the Architect, I'm right about Seth you'll see how this will change everything in our feud going into Wrestlemania and you'll see Seth for the true Degenerate he really is and you, Bianca and Bliss will scatter, you'll all leave him, just like Sasha will as soon as that baby's born," Kenny Omega said.
Finn pulled a laughing Becky to her feet and she gave Cody Rhodes a sarcastic pat on the shoulder, "Great party Cody, let's go Finn. I'd rather stay in New York with Shawn and Hunter than spend one more minute with these Southern Fried Georgia dopes," Becky Lynch said. "Except for you Kendrick, you're an amazing scientist, you just need a little help in the love department,"
"Don't we all," AJ Styles said missing Alexa and Becky and Finn flew back to New York City while Cody and the Young Bucks watched them go in amazement at Becky's new Gift of Flight from God.
"There is definitely a change coming at NXT but it might not be the one DX think. Keep us posted when you get back to Orlando Kenny, Becky is now officially on our radar," Cody said to Omega.
What Cody Rhodes didn't know was that he was not the only promoter interested in the Man but the Man didn't care. She was with DX at NXT and as long as Finn Balor was there too, nothing was going to make her leave Shawn and Hunter's company. As far as Becky was concerned, she was DX 4 Life.
