¨Stress and fear are our greatest enemies.¨ - Alaska

After a few hours, Fleurine came out of her room, she didn't speak to anyone, she just sat at the table and drank water. Lucy walked over to Edmund while he watched Fleurine.

¨Ed, we have to go home¨

He sighed ¨I know¨

He stood up and gathered his things. Lucy did the same, they said goodbye to Severine, and walked over to Fleurine.

¨Fleurine, we have to go. Please be careful¨ Said Lucy, giving her a hug.

¨Goodbye... I promise you I will take care of him¨ Edmund added

Fleurine hugged him tightly, and whispered ¨Thank you¨

Edmund hugged her back, and then left. On his and Lucy´s way back to Cair Paravel they didn't say a word, they didn't arrive until early the next morning. When they walked in they were greeted by guards and their siblings.

¨There you both are,¨ said Peter ¨what took so long?¨

Lucy shook her head signaling to them not to press.

Susan understood, ¨Well whatever it is we are glad you´re safe.¨

They all hugged and went inside, and instead of joining his siblings to eat Edmund entered his office. He drafted a bounty, it had no picture but he hoped it would work anyway. He ordered one of his guards to bring it to the police to have copies made and spread everywhere. He didn't leave his office all day, he just sat there waiting for any news on the bounty. No news came, eventually he did go to bed, but he didn't fall asleep for a while. He just laid in bed thinking about Fleurine, he imagined her crying herself to sleep, he thought she may even let herself starve. He remembered on the way to Telmar Lucy said Severine´s wedding was in a week. That would mean Fleurine would be alone, no one to take care of her, and no one to defend her.

With a sigh he shoved all his worries away the best he could, but they were still in the back of his mind as he slept. His dreams were filled with screams, but not screams from battle, screams from Fleurine. He saw a faceless man standing over her, he tried to grab his sword but it wasn't there and he couldn't move. He was forced to watch her fall into the river over and over again, forced to see the man try different things every time, until he knocked her unconscious. When he moved on top of Fleurine, the White Witch appeared, mirroring his actions onto a young Edmund but instead with a sword. Edmund woke up in a sweat, breathing heavily. He looked outside and it was the late morning.

He heard a knock on his door and saw it open, Peter walked into his room.

¨Ed are you alright?¨ he said, seeing the state of him.

Edmund didn't answer, instead he tried to calm his breathing.

¨Lucy told us what happened during breakfast, we´re all sorry¨

¨There's only one person who needs to be sorry Pete, and it's not you.¨

Peter sighed knowing there was nothing he could do to help and left the room.

Severine sat at the table working on decorations for her wedding. Her fiance, Kiron, was coming to visit today. He had been spending time with his mother the past few weeks. She sighed and got up to knock on Fleurine´s door.

¨Fleurine, please come out. You need to eat¨

¨I´m not hungry¨ she replied through tears.

Severine tried to open the door but it was being blocked by something, this had become the new normal.

¨Fleurine, do you want to die?¨

¨I may as well¨ she replied

¨How could you say that?¨ she now tried pushing the door open as hard as she could. To her surprise it opened.

Fleurine was laying on her bed, staring at the ceiling. Severine pulled her up and into the kitchen.

¨Sit¨ she said while pointing to a chair. ¨You are not going to starve to death, I will force you to eat if I have to¨

She set water and soup in front of her sister. Fleurine took it and ate slowly. When she was done there was still soup left, but at least she ate something.

¨Can I please go to my room now?¨ she asked

Severine nodded her head and went back to work. Fleurine slumped out of the chair and left. She shut her door again and sat back on her bed. There was a slight hint of Edmund in the room from when he stayed there. She crawled under the covers and imagined he was holding her again. Eventually she fell asleep, and she too had bad dreams.

All night she saw Ceslitt towering over her, she kept falling and hitting her head, and flowing down the river. But this time no one found her, she was just left there to bleed between the rocks until she died. She couldn't muster the strength to free herself, and so she just stayed there, slowly drifting away. Until a second dream came, of Edmund breaking his promise. She saw him hunt Ceslitt down, and try to arrest him. But Ceslitt wouldn't give in, they fought until Ceslitt threw a rock at the King's head and then stabbed him in the stomach with his sword. She watched Edmund fall to the ground and bleed until he stopped breathing. When he did, Ceslitt slowly and brutally sliced through the rest of his body and left, as if he were branches in his way. She however, didn't wake up. The dreaming ended there, but when she woke in the morning she was terrified and unsure of the future.

While Fleurine slept Kiron and Severine caught up, they decided that it would be good to have Fleurine live with them after the wedding. Severine and Kiron were a perfect pair, they each knew what was best for people and knew how to take care of them. Both so stern and protective, it would be a good place for Fleurine. They made formal invitations to the Pevensies, including a note letting them know of the future living arrangements.
