Chapter 8: The Stolen Necklace
The group trudges along the path to Cheshma Town until the group encounters two trainers. The first one talks " Hi my name is a Jack I love camping and this right here is my friend Susie. We want to battle you to show how much we love to camp." The girl Susie responds " But I like Picnics ?!"
The Camper stares at Think and Dan " You two look determined... Let's have a double battle !" Dan smirks and calls Cyndquil out of its poke ball " Cyndquil let's show these guys we like to be the best !" " Cynda ! Quil ! " The fire type nods as the flame coming out of its back becomes more intense. Think brings out a poke-ball " Charmander this is our first double battle let's do this ! Come on out Charmander !" Charmander is brought out of its poke ball and faces the other trainers. Camper Jack brings out a Zigzagoon while picnicker Susie brought out a Bunnelby a normal type Pokémon.
" Alright Charmander use ember on Zigzagoon !" The ember misses as Zigzagoon dodges the attack swiftly then it slams into Charmander which Charmander staggers back. " Come on Think Help ! Cyndaquil use tackle !" The tackle hits Bunnelby as Bunnelby is sent flying toward a tree. As the smoke clears Bunnelby was already defeated. Think gasps " Dan how did you ." Dan shouts " Think watch out !" The Zigzagoon had used tackle slamming Charmander on to the ground.
" Oh no Charmander ! " Charmander struggles to get up from the ground. Then from its tail a cloud of smoke pours out causing Camper Jack and Picnicker Susie to cough. Think is amazed and Dan talks trying to keep his mouth from breathing the smoke in. " Cough... Cough... No way...Is that... Smokescreen ?!"
Think coughs then smiles in the smoke. " Charmander you learned smokescreen ?!" Camper Jack is surprised " I can't see ! Where's Zigzagoon ?!" Think shouts in the smoke " Charmander use ember !" Charmander spews a small ball of flames and it makes a direct contact on Zigzagoon. "Zigzagoon No !" The camper shouts as Think smiles. " Charmander we did it !" The two opponents are in shock but the picnicker sent out another Pokémon.
It glides through the air then landed on the grass it was a Pidgey a normal and flying type Pokemon. " Wow a Pidgey !" Think says as he brings out his Pokédex. " Pidgey the Bird Pokemon, Among all flying type Pokémon this is the easiest beginner Flying type Pokémon to capture." Think nods and stares at Charmander.
" Charmander can you still battle ?" The fire type Pokémon is damaged badly and is struggling to keep awake. The picnicker points his finger at Charmander. " Pidgey ! End this with a gust attack !" A sharp piercing wind blows at Charmander sending it flying toward the air then landing onto the ground. " Charmander !" Charmander has fainted with swirls In its eyes. Dan grits his teeth " Alright Cyndaquil use Tackle ! " The fire type Pokémon obeys and tackles the Pidgey to the ground.
" Pidgey !" The Picnicker shouts as The flying type Pokémon has fainted. " Yes we won !" Then Dan gives Think an angry look " What do ya mean we ? I did all the work ! You only got in my way !!!" Dan shouts as Think grits his teeth in anger. " That's not true and you know it !" Dan scrunches up his fists.
" What ever I was just stating the obvious." Think glares at Dan who waves him a way. The group heads to a rusty gate covered in vines and when they open it they enter an old town. The Town has many houses, A bakery, A Squirtle Fountain and restaurants. " This is Cheshma town... It's one of the first towns to be built in the Roria Region. Dan says in surprise as he looks toward a small building with eating areas on the outside and a Deer Pokémon Statue.
" Hey guys... That's Sawsbuck Coffee ! " James eyes glitter with happiness. " Yeah their hot chocolate exclusives are so good I would love to have one right now." Jake sighs and slaps his head. " We'll have one later but first we've got to meet the person Professor Cypress told us to meet. Then from behind a tree a girl comes out to meet the group.
" Why hello there my name is Linda and I was the one who was assigned to keep your selves from getting hurt. " Yeah Professor Cypress mentioned someone coming here to meet us. Is that you ?" Think says. The girl wore a pink and black buttoned up shirt with dark pink with dark brown hair and she also wore dark blue jeans with brown boots. " What are you guys just standing here for ? Come on into my house. " Linda led Think and his friends to her house. Jake looked unsettled as if he knew something bad was going to happen.
When they arrive at Linda's house they sat on her couch. Linda looked at Think and saw his necklace and gave him a smile. "Where'd you get that necklace chump ?!" She asks as Think pauses a second to think about what she said. " Wait did you call me chump ?!" "I meant friend now can you tell me where you got it from ?" Thinks spine tingles as he talked. " I got it from my parents as a gift to remember how much my parents support me on my adventure. " She smirks and her eyes seem unsettling " Can take I look at it ?" Linda asks and Think nods. "Sure." Jake starts breathing heavily and James asks him if he's ok.
" No James I'm fine I just need to relax." Linda looks at it and grins evilly. " Well this looks old and ... Valuable !!! Thanks kid !" Linda snatches The necklace from Think and push's Him onto Dan. " See ya chumps !" Dan yells " Hey She took Thinks necklace ! After her !!!" The group chases the girl Linda towards a forest !" Jake is sweating and manages to shout. " She's heading for Gale forest !" Linda pushes a couple people into Think and Dan. Think apologizes to the people " Sorry, Excuse me, We're in a rush !"
Their feet stomps on the wet dirt as they head toward Gale forest. James sees Jake " Dude you should stay here you look like your going to burst !" Jake pants as Dan, Think and James run after Linda. Jake shouts back " Yeah... I'll stay... gotta rest...cough... I'll be backup."
