Chapter 17

Bella POV

I felt his arms falter around me for a moment but they almost immediately tightened again. Neither of them said anything so I kept talking, getting more emotional the more I said. "I went to school for my exams but I took them in private. I have come here and was at the hospital but I haven't really been anywhere else, not in Forks anyway." I added, stepping out of his arms, remembering the few times that Edward had taken me out, luckily for me I didn't have to deal with anyone I knew as he had taken me to places in Port Angeles and even Seattle. "I haven't talked to anyone from school except Angela, when I called her to thank her for finding me. I haven't been ready. I know how they are going to look at me, how they are going to talk to me. It's how everyone does, either like I need to be pityed or like I'm incompetent."

"They won't love!" Edward insisted.

"Yes they will, I know they will!"

"Be-" I cut him off.

"How can I expect them not to, people that I barely know, people that I only talk to so I can be polite, when the people that I spend the most time with do it too! I LOVE YOU BUT YOU DO! ALL OF YOU DO! WHEN I TRIP OR LOOK THE WRONG WAY, YOUR EITHER LAUGHING AT ME OR THERE ARE 5 PEOPLE AROUND ME MAKING SURE I'M OK! Of course I'm ok bu-" I started sobbing.

"I just want to go home." I whispered. "Please?"

"Of course Bella come on." Edward told me, wiping the tears from my unseeing eyes. He tried to wrap his arm around my shoulder but I pushed him off, well I shrugged my shoulders and he got the point. That's when I realized that the noise was getting louder.

"Why are we going towards the noise?"

"He needs to drive you Bella, if he doesn't Charlie will get suspicious." Alice told me. I nodded in response.

As we got closer the noise got louder until I knew we had to be right next to the house. I was proven correct when I felt gravel under my feet.

"Oh no!" I heard Alice say.

"God!" Edward whispered.

"What?" I asked.

"I'm not taking you home Bella, I can't."

"Why?"

"The wolves." Alice spoke up.

They had told me about the Pack a few weeks ago. It surprised me but I shouldn't have been. With all this supernatural craziness what's next witches? What surprised me the most was that they thought Jacob might have phased and that was why he started to ignore me, for my safety. I still wanted to go see him but he won't pick up any of my calls, Charlie works a lot, and none of the Cullen's can drive me. So I'm stuck on this side of the line for the foreseeable future.

"What do you mean 'the wolves', are they at my house? Is Jake there?"

"I don't know, I can't see the wolves, they're just black. But I can't see your house for a few hours so I guess they're there. Charlie's fine though I see him sitting on the couch watching the game after the darkness leaves." Alice told me.

"I still want to go home! If Jake is there I want to talk to him!"

"No Bella, they're dangerous." Edward said.

"You can't keep me hostage here just because I can't drive!" I shouted.

"I'm not keeping hostage, I'll take you home later!" Edward said.

"Please, just take me home, you don't have to stay and Charlie will be there, I'll be fine." I told him.

"Bella, love, please." He said exasperated.

"Im calling Charlie." I said, pulling out my phone and walking away a few yards.

"Settings...Clock...Voicemail...Phone." My text to speech spit out.

"Edward...Alice...Home." I clicked on my father's home number.

"Ring...Ring...Ring...Ri-Hello, Swan residence." A voice I knew well picked up. It was Jake.

"Jacob!" I squealed, sounding something similar to Alice.

"Bells? Is everything ok? Do you want me to go get your dad?" he asked me.

"Everything is fine, I was just calling Charlie to ask for a ride. I want to come home but no one can drive me."

"Where are you?"

"Edwards house, they threw a party, for graduation, but I don't want to go and none of them can drive me back home." I said. Jake didn't respond, I thought I heard some kind of mumbling on the other end but it was low enough that couldn't make out what he was saying.

"I'll go tell Charlie Bells, do you want to stay on the line or can I call back when I get an answer?" he asked me after a moment of relative silence.

"Uh-you can call back."

"Ok." he hung up the phone.

I turned back around and looked over to where I left Edward and Alice. I just stared for a minute before I heard Edward speak.

"Bella please, they're a danger to you. Just stay here. We can go up to my room and stay there. We don't have to party, please just don't go home while they are there." Edward pleaded. I was about to respond when my phone rang again. I turned back towards the forest to answer.

"Hey Bells."

"Hi Jake."

"Um I went and asked your dad but… well he's been drinking some and he doesn't want to drive, especially not with you in the car with him. He said he was sorry. I-uh-gotta-um…" He told me.

"I understand, so what disease do you have now?" I asked before I hung up, rather angrily, not giving him a chance to respond.

"Where's my stuff?" I asked Edward, turning back around to face him.

"It's right here sweetheart." He told me to place my cane in my hand. I unfolded it and placed the tip on the ground in front of me.

"I guess lets go inside." I said dejectedly.

"You don't have to party Bella really." Alice told me.

"We can go up to my room, or back to the meadow, we can get in my car and go anywhere you want to go. I can take you to Seattle or Port Angels?" Edward added.

"No lets just go inside, I need to do this at some point anyway. I'm not promising I'll stay down stairs but I'll 'party' for a little while." I added finger quotations around party, dancing and drinking was not my idea of a good time, I had never really been to a high school party, all of my ideas about them were from movies, so I did not have high hopes.

I felt Edward move beside me. I knew I could never stay mad at him, my anger was already dripping away, so I folded up my cane and leaned into him. I felt him wrap his arm around my shoulder. We started walking forward, after a minute we veered off to the left and continued to walk around to the back door of the house.

"The stairs are about 3 feet ahead of you Bella." Edward told me. I nodded, took a few steps, and then felt my toes hit the edge of the steps. I lifted my foot up and walked up the steps. I felt apprehensive about entering the house but I still walked forward and felt for the doorknob. I was about to open the door when Edward's hand was on top of mine turning and holding the door open for me.

"Thank you." I said walking in. I knew this house fairly well by now but I was also aware of the many extra bodies inside of it today it could be easy for me to get tripped up. I heard Edward close the door behind us and walk up to my side once again.

"Where is everyone?" I asked him.

"In the front room, Alice kept this one off limits since there is some older stuff in here, as well as my piano. If you want to go upstairs without seeing anyone we can go now. I don't want to force you into anything." He told me.

I almost accepted but decided that I would at least go for a few minutes, to make Edward and Alice happy. "No, I'll go." I told him.

"Ok well Alice is waiting for you upstairs, she has something else for you to put on and she wants to fix your hair. I think you look beautiful but according to her you are underdressed." He told me with a chuckle. I blushed as I always did when he paid me a complement. He led me over to the stairs and helped me find the railing.

"I have been told by Alice to let you come up on your own. I am not allowed even remotely close to your outfit so I must wait for you down here. I'll see you in a few minutes, love." he said.

I started up the stairs and headed towards Alice's room.

"Ok let's just get this over with." I told her, then I zoned out and let her have her fun.

"Done!" Alice exclaimed 20 minutes later. She had done my hair, applied a little make up, and slipped me into a dress.

"What do I look like Ali?" I asked.

"Your hair is down, straightened. It reaches about the middle of your lower back. I put a little bit of blush and some mascara on your face. The dress is burgundy with floral print, the sleeves are a bit puffy, it reaches just above your knees and stitches at the waist. It's like a sundress." She told me. I nodded and smiled at my mental picture of myself.

"Thank you. Can we go down stairs now?" I asked, wanting to get back to Edward.

"Yeah come on!" she grabbed my hand and we went downstairs. I heard voices get louder as we got closer to the living room. We opened the door and walked in.

Hi so I haven't had an AN yet but I thought that I should now. I wanted to ask a few questions so this story stays entertaining for all of my dear readers.

Do you want Bella to be able to fully see again when she is turned(because she will be turned)?

Would you like a baby to be born? I will not have Jake imprint on her if she exists because I think it's a little creepy.

Do you want more Jacob in my story? I don't like Jake/Bella pairing but I do like him as a character(at least in New Moon,he was done dirty in Eclipse)so if I bring him in more I might have him imprint, so he will not be romantically interested in Bella.

Do you want Victoria and the newborns to come into play or just Victoria or maybe leave her out completely if that is what everyone really wants? I have a plan for either the 1st or the 2nd but I can't decide which one.

How about the Volturi? I want them put in at some point but I don't know how yet. So it's either they find out Bella is a human that knows their secret and come to investigate, they find out about the baby(if it exists), or both?

Do you like Bella's POV or would you like me to put in some more Edward or Alice or anyone else? I don't really want to do Charlie, the wolf pack, or any enemies but I'm open to suggestions.

Do you guys want character death? I wasn't planning any but I just want to know if that is something you would like. I don't think I could deal with killing any of the Cullens or Charlie but maybe a wolf, or someone from Forks high if that is something that you think would spice up the story.

Would you like my chapters to be longer? I usually read and sometimes type on mobile so to me they are a good length but to some people who read only or mainly on a computer they might seem shorter.

I'm sorry for so many questions. I just want to incorporate your ideas and get a feel for where you want the story to go.

I know it has been a while since I posted on any of my stories and for that I'm sorry. I have been really stressed with school lately and the death of a family member so I havent really had time to write or post. I am planning to make a posting schedule soon so I can get things more under control. I wanted to apologize for any grammar mistakes in my story. I dont have anyone to read them over and even though I try I miss them sometimes. It really annoys me when other stories have bad grammar, so I hate it when I spot something after I've already posted. I have 2 Harry Potter stories, 2 Twilight stories, and a crossover on my account, including this one. If you want to look at those. Again I am so sorry for my spotty posting. Thank you for reading my story, please review.
