Vengeance Granted
Chapter 9: Vengeance
"Bulma, what are you doing? Now is not the time for taking a rest!" Jaco exclaimed in disbelief as he looked over to her, seeing that she had slumped down in the passenger seat of his spaceship.
When she doesn't respond however he mutters under his breath before reaching over to shake her slightly.
"Wakey, wakey Bulma! Don't tell me you're slacking on the job... Bulma?" Jaco trailed off with concern, noticing the unresponsiveness of his friend as well as feeling the coldness of her arm.
He gasps in shock as a white orb of energy suddenly comes out of her body, and he quickly leaps back in fright whilst knocking the controls slightly, causing the vehicle to tilt on an angle before he hastily readjusts it's course.
Jaco then stares fearfully at the unknown object for a few moments before it abruptly shoots off, passing right through the canopy of his vehicle and into the distance before disappearing from sight.
He then watches in shock as Bulma's body slowly fades into nothing, and he quickly halts the vehicle in mid-air to check where she had vanished.
"This is crazy! She just disappeared before I could even do anything!" Jaco said in a panicked voice before something in the corner of his eye catches his attention.
He turns to look up at the sky and his mouth instantly hangs open as he sees thousands upon thousands of the white orbs, all heading towards one single location on the horizon.
"They're all going towards Central City... what sort of awful power is this?" Jaco muttered in horror, as he watched the souls of the Earth's population being gathered before him.
"I'll ask you again Frieza! What have you done with my friends?!" Goku yelled as he landed a heavy punch to Frieza's stomach.
Frieza is badly winded from the blow and coughs up a slight bit of blood, before he then retaliates with a kick to Goku's chest.
"It's simple, I've reversed the wishes that brought them back to life!" Frieza said spitefully as he then laid into Goku with several more strikes, "Your precious Dragon Balls are mere tools at my disposal!"
He is soon stopped when Goku blocks one of his punches, and Frieza can't help but show a bit of fear at the look of pure rage that Goku was now sending him.
Goku then lets out an enraged roar that blasts him back with a burst of energy, and he is too caught off guard to defend as the ferocious assault begins.
Goku lays into Frieza with a series of savage punches, each one hitting with considerable force that rocks the tyrant before he finishes with a spin kick to his head.
Frieza barely manages to dodge the final blow and he attempts to respond with a purple energy blast at close range, but Goku blocks his hand out of the way and redirects the blast to shoot off into the city below.
Goku then grabs Frieza's arm and pulls him inwards for a brutal headbutt, causing the emperor to cry out in pain as it draws some purple blood from his forehead.
Frieza quickly pulls out of Goku's grip however and with a furious expression he uppercuts Goku, catching the Saiyan off guard and sending him shooting upwards.
Frieza chases after in pursuit but as he is about to catch his seemingly defenseless opponent, Goku moves his arm to his head and promptly vanishes from sight.
Frieza stops in mid-air with a confused expression, but before he has time to wonder where Goku had disappeared to he is struck in his back by a heavy kick.
Goku then follows up with a combination of punches, kicks and finally a vicious elbow to the top of Frieza's head.
Despite doing some clear damage, the only real effect of the attacks is to seemingly piss Frieza off even more as the tyrant just raises his head back up to glare at Goku.
"You insolent bastard! Let's see how you fare against this then!" Frieza shouted as he willed his golden aura to coalesce around his arm, forming a flaming sword-like apparatus that begins sparking with lightning.
Goku widens his eyes in worry before he is forced to hastily duck the burning weapon, and he is pushed back onto the defensive as Frieza swings the deadly energy blade at him furiously.
After dodging as best he can Goku is finally cut across the torso by the blade, and he yelps in pain as he glances down at the cut, seeing that it was thankfully not too deep.
He quickly falls back out of melee range of his adversary, and holds the bleeding wound on his stomach as he stares at Frieza who was wearing a smug grin as he watches the wounded Saiyan.
"Did that hurt monkey? How about a second helping of my new power then?" Frieza said mockingly as he dispelled the sword to raise his hand at Goku.
A second later an arc of golden lightning shoots out of his palm, and Goku narrowly evades the attack as it streaks past his body, leaving a slight burning sensation from how close it grazed his side.
Goku then turns to face Frieza again only to find that the emperor had rapidly closed the distance to him, and this time he can't avoid the nasty blow that sends him crashing into the ground below.
Goku quickly jumps out of the small crater he made as more arcs of lightning smash down all around him, the bolts blasting the ground with violent explosions as he avoids each one.
Suddenly he vanishes again and Frieza briefly adopts an expression of surprise, before scowling as he turns to block a kick from the rear.
"That little teleport technique won't best me a second time!" he yelled as he slams his tail into Goku, knocking him back a bit in the air.
Goku recovers quickly however and with a battle cry he charges back at Frieza with his fist drawn.
Frieza responds with a burst of golden flames however, and they almost engulf Goku before he quickly halts his attack to avoid the jet of searing energy.
"He's getting good at countering my moves! Guess I'll have to try something else!" Goku thought as he then put some distance between himself and Frieza, before stopping to ready his stance.
"Ka...me...ha...me..." Goku begins chanting as he summons a ball of blue energy to his side, the attack quickly generating a huge amount of power in mere seconds.
Frieza just looks on unimpressed as he points his finger at Goku and unleashes a volley of Death Beams, the purple energy streaking towards the stationary fighter who was still only a short distance away.
To his shock they go right through Goku's form, and he narrows his eyes angrily as the after-image of the Saiyan slowly fades before him.
Frieza then notices a blue light from below him, and he looks down to see Goku launching his energy wave.
"HAAAAAAAA!" Goku screamed out as he unleashed the signature move upwards.
Frieza growls in irritation as he quickly counters the attack with one of his own, using both hands to send a purple blast that collides with Goku's own.
The two of them are then caught in a stalemate as both try to overpower their opponent's attack, and the force of the massive blasts is enough to make the ground around them splinter and crack from the exertion of power.
Neither of the two combatants give any ground and soon the central mass of energy starts growing unstable from the intense pressure, before finally detonating in a violent explosion of brilliant light.
Goku is swiftly hurled backwards from the thunderous blast, the shock waves sending him tumbling along the ground for several hundred meters where he finally skids to halt by digging his hands into the ground.
Frieza on the other hand is skyrocketed upwards, and is so dazed from the blast that he only becomes aware of himself as he begins plummeting back down towards the ground.
He quickly halts his descent and regains his composure, before scanning around for Goku from his vantage point high in the air.
He spots the Saiyan a good distance away getting back to his feet, and Frieza frowns before looking back towards the remnants of his ship, seemingly weighing up his options.
"This fight is much too fair for my liking! It seems his Super Saiyan God form is on a similar level to my golden one!" Frieza thought begrudgingly to himself.
"I would prefer to best that monkey filth with my power alone!" he continued bitterly, "But then again, I'm not giving him the opportunity to pull some Saiyan nonsense like last time!"
When Goku gathers his bearings he sees a golden streak of light hurtling towards a point in the distance, and he quickly recognizes the location as the ruined area around Frieza's destroyed ship.
He then swiftly boosts off in the same direction, desperate to stop Frieza from wrecking more havoc with the Dragon Balls.
As Frieza is almost upon the Dragon Balls, he is too focused on reaching them to see when Goku abruptly crashes into him from the side, ramming him at full speed with a shoulder charge that sends them falling to the ground below.
They both land one after the other with a crash and Frieza growls as he quickly gets back up, turning with an enraged scowl to see that Goku was standing as well.
"Stop the underhanded tactics Frieza, I'm not going to let you reverse any more wishes!" Goku said as he readied a fighting stance, looking determined despite looking a bit out of breath from the fight so far.
"Ha, you're a bit late for that? I've already reversed the one that rid this world of its inhabitants!" Frieza snarled as he gestured to all of the white orbs congregating behind him.
Goku looks up in horror before shaking his head angrily as he then glances back at Frieza with a look of hatred.
"I'll bring them back, even if it takes everything I have! I will finish you and return everyone you've killed back to life!" he yelled defiantly as his red aura flared, his power sending gusts of wind in every direction as he does so.
"Well then Goku, why don't you just try and stop me then!" Frieza taunted as he formed his Golden Flame Blade again, panting slightly himself as he readied a stance of his own.
The two fighters then glare at each other for a few moments, a tense silence coming over the battlefield as they wait for their opponent to make the next move.
Then at speeds imperceptible to most fighters they both disappear suddenly, only to reappear in the air nearby with a thunderous boom from their collision.
The air is then soon filled with shock wave after shock wave, with intermittent blue and purple energy attacks shooting off in all directions, lighting up the darkened sky as the fight intensifies.
In the still smoldering wreckage of Frieza's ship nearby, a piece of metal moves slightly, someone seemingly still alive beneath it.
The piece of junk is then shoved off with a grunt of exertion, and the battered and bloody form of Sorbet emerges from underneath, panting from exhaustion.
He then looks around at the ruins of his ship and growls in frustration at what had happened to it.
"Curse that cyborg freak! She single-handedly destroyed the flagship and all my soldiers guarding it without even breaking a sweat!" he muttered to himself angrily, as he recalled the panicked yells of his men being mercilessly slaughtered by the seemingly unstoppable Android.
Sorbet then sees in the distance Frieza and Goku clashing furiously, and his eyes widen in shock as he seems to remember something important.
"The Dragon Balls! I must help Lord Frieza by securing them for him!" he thought to himself as he limped towards where his men had been previously guarding them.
Sorbet staggers and stumbles his way through the ruins before eventually coming upon his goal, seeing the Namekian Dragon Balls were all arranged in a circle right next to the partially buried Earth set.
He quickly gets to work by uncovering the Earth's orbs and places them out in an orderly fashion as well, before he notices something in the rubble nearby.
Squinting at it he sees what looks like a white glove sticking out from behind a concrete pillar, and thinking it might be one of his soldiers Sorbet cautiously walks over to investigate.
As he rounds the corner he instead finds a peculiar sight, and he frowns at the unconscious form of Vegeta lying on the ground.
"If I'm not mistaken this is Vegeta, the former Saiyan Prince," Sorbet thought as he eyed the odd ring object floating just above Vegeta's head.
"Well it doesn't matter, he's a damned traitor and I better put him down whilst he's still out!" he continued as he raised a clenched fist, a ring on his centre finger glinting with deadly energy.
Before Sorbet can execute the downed Saiyan however, he hears the cocking of a weapon to his side and he instantly tenses up at the sound.
He then slowly turns his head in surprise to see a purple alien pointing an energy pistol at him from several meters away.
"Put your hands in the air criminal scum! You're under arrest by the authority of the Galactic Patrol!" Jaco said confidently as he kept his blaster aimed right at Sorbet.
Sorbet just eyes Jaco warily before glancing back down at Vegeta, mentally going over his next course of action for this situation.
"I can't surrender, Lord Frieza would kill me for sure!" Sorbet thought fearfully, his arm shaking slightly from the panic that was coursing through him at that thought.
"Don't even think of trying anything pal! You'll be on the ground before you can say Lord Frieza!" Jaco warned threateningly, edging closer to the stationary alien who had his eyes still set on Vegeta.
Sorbet glances at Jaco one more time, seeing that the other alien was shaking his head in an attempt to dissuade him, before Sorbet grits his teeth as he has made his decision.
An energy shot rings out abruptly, and Sorbet is sent flying to crash into a wall of rubble as Jaco lowers his smoking gun.
Jaco stares in disapproval at the glow that was slowly fading from Sorbet's ring, having been on the verge of firing before his quick intervention.
"I didn't want it to come to this, but he left me no choice!" Jaco muttered as he walked over to inspect Sorbet's body, finding that the commander was out cold.
"Good thing I loaded a concussion round or he might have bit the dust from that!" he added before looking over at Vegeta, and he then holsters his gun before stepping over to the still unconscious Saiyan.
"Alright then mister, let's see about getting you back into the fight!" Jaco said to himself as he crouched over Vegeta, pulling a Senzu bean out of his pocket that Bulma had given him earlier.
Before he can place the bean in Vegeta's mouth however a sudden crash from nearby draws his attention, and he sees a skyscraper collapse into a pile of dust that billows out from where it fell.
"Gee I sure hope that was Frieza getting thrown into that thing!" Jaco said with a nervous chuckle, before to his horror he notices a golden streak of energy now rocketing his way.
Jaco quickly grabs Vegeta by both of his arms and drags him into cover behind some more rubble, and he draws his energy pistol again, loading a lethal round this time.
He then peers around the corner, holding in a gasp of fear as he sees Frieza now standing next to the Dragon Balls, looking quite battered and exhausted from his fight with Goku.
"Not good enough Goku, now you're finished!" Frieza yelled out manically as he raised his hands, and Jaco just looked on in confusion at what he was seeing.
Jaco's eyes widen in shock as the Namekian Dragon Balls hover up next to the tyrant, the orbs glowing rapidly whilst Frieza grins maliciously.
"What the heck do I do? There's no way an energy shot will take him down!" Jaco thought desperately, "But if I don't do something, he's going to do who knows what with those things!"
Jaco wrestles with his decision for a few moments, before he inhales sharply as he then prepares to leap out and confront Frieza.
He soon stops however when he notices a red energy shooting right at Frieza, and he watches in relief as Goku swiftly slams into Frieza, interrupting his ritual with the Dragon Balls before anything could be unleashed.
Frieza is thrown backwards by quite a bit, smashing into some wrecked buildings before slamming into a wall and falling to the ground in a heap, and left lying motionless for a few seconds.
"That... wretched... stinking... MONKEY!" Frieza screamed out suddenly as his energy exploded, before he then leapt back to his feet to find Goku positioned in between him and the Dragon Balls.
"I don't get it Frieza, why waste your second chance at life for something so petty as revenge?" Goku asked suddenly, causing Frieza to just scowl angrily at him.
"Petty? There's nothing petty about it Goku!" Frieza replied venomously, "All I've thought about for the last 14 years was how I would make you pay for what you and allies did to me!"
"The humiliation, the torment, all the days thinking about your stupid face being blasted into pieces at my hands! It will all be worth it just to see you suffer!" Frieza snarled with pure malice in his voice, and Goku just shakes his head in disappointment in response.
"Then there truly is no hope for you Frieza! I thought that some time spent in hell would do you some good, but you haven't changed one bit!" Goku said bitterly, staring at the growling tyrant with disdain.
Frieza then yells in fury as he launches himself at Goku once again, and their fists meet in a thunderous boom that hurls debris in all directions, sparks of electricity shooting off them from the ferocity of the clash.
The two of them trade blows at incredible speed, their movements a blur from the outside as they block and strike one another with unbelievable power and intensity.
The flurry of blows is brought to a sudden end when they land simultaneous heavy attacks on each other, throwing punches that smash into their opponents face and sending them both backwards to skid along the ground.
Goku stands up from his crouched landing and he pants heavily as he stares at Frieza with grim determination, looking just as worn out from the fighting as his opponent was, though no less unrelenting.
Frieza is glaring at Goku with an almost crazed look, and it was becoming quite clear that his composure was all but gone as his thoughts went back to Namek.
"Oh no you don't, not this time Goku! I will not be some mongrel Saiyan's punching bag ever again!" Frieza thought as he gripped his fists in fierce determination, drawing a bit of blood from his palms in the process.
He then glances back at the Dragon Balls that were still in view nearby, and smirks evilly as he comes up with a last ditch plan.
"You know Goku, I've had a bit of fun with the Dragon Balls, but now that it's only you left I don't see the need for them anymore!" Frieza said with a maniacal chuckle as he then aimed an energy blast at both sets of the magical orbs.
Goku adopts a panicked expression as he sees the energy attacks shoot towards the precious objects, and he quickly leaps in the way to intercept the attack, smacking it into the distance.
He realizes too late that it was merely a ploy to distract him, and he doesn't have time to react as Frieza's tail suddenly wraps itself around his neck whilst the tyrant slams a foot onto the back of his head, forcing him to face-plant into the ground.
"Still as predictable as ever I see! Try getting out of this one Goku!" Frieza taunted with a laugh as he then motioned for the Dragon Balls to fly over to him.
Goku muffled cries of resistance are quickly silenced when Frieza slams his head into the ground a few times, dazing the Saiyan and making his eyes lull slightly into the back of his head.
Satisfied with his captive's submission Frieza then exerts his will over the Namekian Dragon Balls, causing them to glow once more as he prepares to reverse one last wish.
He then focuses on one wish in particular, the one that was made during Goku's final encounter with Buu, the one that had restored the energy of Earth's hero back to full strength.
"Oh yes, this will do nicely!" Frieza thought as closed his eyes, mentally going through the process of reversing the wish.
Suddenly the sound of a blaster shot echoes out through the ruins, and Frieza opens his eyes in surprise as he feels a stinging sensation in his torso.
He looks down to see a scorch mark right on his central purple chest piece, a direct hit on his centre of mass that would have seriously hurt him if it had more power behind it.
Frieza then scowls angrily as he raises his head to see a purple alien aiming at him from the ruins nearby, it's mouth wide open in shock as it sees the negligible damage it had done to him.
Frieza retaliates quickly with a Death Beam that hits the odd alien dead on, causing him to collapse to the ground with a yelp of pain.
With the nuisance disposed of Frieza focuses on the Dragon Balls before he is abruptly thrown off his footing, as Goku uses the distraction Jaco had provided to break free of the emperor's hold.
Frieza falls to the ground nearby as Goku then charges at him once again, and the tyrant is caught off guard as the Saiyan begins laying into him with a flurry of blows.
Goku is relentless as he lands a series of powerful strikes, and Frieza does his best to weather the rain of attacks whilst waiting for an opening.
He finds it when Goku pulls back for a heavy punch, and Frieza moves his head out of the way, causing Goku's fist to smash into the ground and becoming stuck temporarily.
Frieza instantly takes advantage by kneeing Goku in the chest, making the Saiyan stumble back slightly before Frieza follows up with a tail swipe that sends Goku flying backwards.
Without wasting any more time Frieza motions for the Dragon Balls, glancing at Goku whilst doing so and seeing that he was soon back on his feet and coming at him once again.
"Come on damn you! Just a little more..." Frieza thought in desperation as Goku closed in, time seeming to slow as everything came to a head.
Just as Goku was on the verge of landing his punch on Frieza he suddenly feels his entire body seize up, and he instead shoots past to fall to the ground.
Frieza observes with sinister glee as Goku struggles to push himself up, his body seemingly weighing him down as he stands, his shoulders slumped and his breathing heavy.
Then as Goku looks up at Frieza with a bewildered expression his Super Saiyan God aura abruptly fades, leaving him in his very drained base form.
"Frieza... what did you... do to me?" Goku demanded in an exhausted voice, looking barely able to stay upright as he glared at his opponent.
Frieza just laughs as he feels immense relief at Goku's now completely weakened state, staring at the Saiyan with a menacing grin as he replies.
"I reversed another wish of course! The one where your little friends restored your energy back to full!" Frieza said with a chuckle, "Only now it's drained all of your energy instead!"
Goku grits his teeth angrily at that, knowing full well how much of a predicament he was now in.
"This is really bad! But I can't give up, everyone's counting on me to pull through and bring them back!" Goku thought determinedly, shakily readying his fighting stance as Frieza watches on with an amused expression.
"Oh come now Goku! Whilst you dogged determination is somewhat admirable, I think we can agree that this battle is over!" Frieza said mockingly, his confidence returning to him now that the advantage was clearly his again.
Goku just growls before he then charges at Frieza, sluggishly throwing a punch that the tyrant easily dodges and causing the Saiyan to stumble past instead.
Goku then turns around and throws several more punches, each one being deftly dodged by Frieza who's malicious grin only gets wider with each pitiful attack.
Frieza finally retaliates with a punch of his own that decks Goku, leaving the Saiyan collapsed on the ground and clutching his face in agony.
"Hahaha this is magnificent! I have waited too long to see you cowering before me in pain!" Frieza said as he kicked Goku whilst he was down.
"Being humiliated by you on Namek! Where even at my full power, your stupid Super Saiyan transformation made me into the universe's biggest joke for an emperor!" he continued, punctuating each line with another kick to a defenseless Goku.
"Then being rebuilt as some mechanical freak, only to be cut into pieces by some random Saiyan swordsman!" the anger in Frieza's voice increasing along with his volume.
"Then staying locked up in Earth's hell! Being subjugated to all manner of vile and revolting torment at the hands of those fairies and stuffed animals!"
"And now, despite all of my meticulous planning for a year! You and your wretched friends have destroyed my entire army!" he finished with one last savage kick to Goku, causing the Saiyan to cough up blood as he then falls motionless.
Frieza pants as he stares down at Goku before leaning down to grab him around the neck, and he pulls his limp body up in front of him so that he could glare at the Saiyan's barely cognitive face.
"You're going to pay for each and every one of those transgressions Goku!" Frieza said coldly as Goku's eyelids flickered briefly.
Frieza then hurls Goku into the ground with a crash a few meters away, and he pauses for a few moments to summon his Golden Flame Blade before he begins walking over to Goku menacingly.
In the rubble nearby a certain purple alien was lying on the ground, however instead of being dead he is muttering with a pained expression as he clutches the wound in his chest.
"Well Jaco, that was really smart of you, 'let's take a shot at Lord Frieza!' What the hell was I thinking?" he grumbled to himself as glanced down at the wound.
"Thank the Galactic King for my armor though! Could've been a fatal wound otherwise!" he continued with a grin, before grimacing slightly as another wave of pain came over him.
Jaco then glances around to see Vegeta still lying unconscious nearby, and he raises his eyebrows at that before shaking his head.
"Seriously, how is he still out after all of that ruckus happening only a short distance away?" he thought in disbelief as he glances over to see Frieza kicking Goku repeatedly whilst ranting something.
"Well I think I'll avoid those two for now and focus on getting mister sleepyhead over here up and battle ready!" Jaco thought as he began to crawl his way over to Vegeta, gritting his teeth from the pain as he slowly made his way over to him.
As he moves he hears the screams of Goku's torment echo out, and he shivers in revulsion as he tries not to think of what was happening nearby as he comes up on Vegeta.
He then pulls out the single Senzu bean from his pocket and hastily shoves it into the Saiyan Prince's mouth, watching as it is swallowed on instinct.
"Hmm, guess these guys must be used to eating these beans from all of their previous fighting," Jaco thought curiously before he lets out a gasp as Vegeta's eyes suddenly open, and the Saiyan hastily sits up whilst holding his head.
"What in the... where's Frieza!" Vegeta said to himself before he spots Jaco, narrowing his eyes suspiciously at the unknown alien.
"Who the hell are you! You better start explaining where Frieza is, and for that matter Kakarot and the rest of them as well!" he growled at Jaco with an intimidating look, causing the purple alien to shrink back in fear.
"I'm with the Galactic Patrol! I came here to warn Bulma of Frieza's arrival!" Jaco said hurriedly, and Vegeta gives him an analyzing look as he seems to recognize Jaco.
"Hmph, that's right. You were that strange creature cowering behind my wife on the call she sent us," Vegeta muttered, before he noticed the cries of anguish coming from nearby and he hastily stood up to see Frieza a short distance away attacking Goku.
"What is the meaning of this, how did Kakarot screw up so badly? He's mastered the base Super Saiyan God so how did he get degraded to this?!" Vegeta said in disbelief as he stared at the pitiful scene in front of him.
"It was Frieza! He reversed the wishes on the Dragon Balls, wiping out all of the people on Earth and draining Goku of all of his power!" Jaco replied, and he sees Vegeta's expression go blank with a shadow coming over his face.
"So... Bulma... Trunks... everyone is gone and Kakarot couldn't even beat Frieza? What more motivation do you need to defeat him!" Vegeta said through gritted teeth, and Jaco looks on fearfully as he sees the Saiyan's body begin shaking as his fists clenched tightly at his sides.
"That damned fool! Just leave it to Kakarot to always mess it up when it comes to Frieza!" Vegeta spat angrily as he looked up with an expression of pure rage.
"First he spares him on Namek, just so that he could come back later to try and kill us again!" he continued, the stones on the ground beginning to tremble slightly as he spoke.
"And now even as a Super Saiyan God he let that bastard best him, after he's taken everything from us!" he finished as a bolt of lightning lit up the sky behind him.
Jaco begins crawling backwards slowly as he feels the violent energy that was now emanating from the Saiyan Prince.
He watches as the wind begins swirling around Vegeta, the ground shaking beneath them both as more bolts of lightning begin hitting the ground all around.
Vegeta then explodes into his golden Super Saiyan form, before electricity begins coursing around him as he then goes into Super Saiyan 2, before finally with a red burst of energy his Super Saiyan God aura engulfs him.
"That is it! I will not stand by whilst Kakarot brings shame to the Saiyan race and to our home!" Vegeta yelled with a roar as his aura expanded even more, buffeting the surrounding area with gusts of ferocious winds.
Frieza halts his beating of Goku as he finally notices the surge of energy that had suddenly appeared nearby, and he watches in horror as he sees Vegeta go through his Saiyan transformations until he takes on the red Super Saiyan God form.
"How in the hell is he still alive? He should have been erased from existence!" Frieza muttered in disbelief, before his eyes widen as he sees the halo just above Vegeta's head.
Frieza growls in frustration as he then readies a fighting stance, knowing that it will be a hard task to defeat another Super Saiyan God in his current state.
"If you want your turn at fighting me Vegeta, then I'm more than willing to add your beaten corpse next to Goku's!" Frieza said with forced bravado, trying to keep up a front of confidence.
He notices however that Vegeta only smirks arrogantly back at him, and he adopts a look of confusion before a massive explosion of energy from the Saiyan suddenly obscures his vision with a burst of brilliant light.
Frieza quickly covers his eyes with an arm as he blocks out the dazzling aura that Vegeta was now giving off.
"Make no mistake Frieza, there will be no fight between us!" came Vegeta's voice from within the light, "I intend on killing you as a true Saiyan warrior, one who has reached a new pinnacle of power!"
When the blinding light finally dies down Frieza looks back, his mouth hanging agape as he stares at the new form the Saiyan Prince had now taken.
Vegeta's eyes and hair have now taken on a shade of blue, almost aqua in color, and the flaming red aura of Super Saiyan God replaced with a cool blue nebula.
"So what is this form Vegeta, Super Saiyan Blue?" Frieza asked somewhat nervously, failing to maintain his arrogance as he could guess the power that would come from this new transformation.
"Something like that..." Vegeta said smugly as he readied himself into a fighting stance, glaring at the tyrant with a menacing look of anticipation.
A/N: Hey guys, so that chapter took me a little while to work through and I apologize for the wait, I do like to keep to a weekly release schedule but honestly every two weeks is what I've been doing lately.
So this chapter was pretty fight intensive, and I had a bit of trouble figuring out how to make things interesting so let me know what you think, as I really tried to do Goku and Frieza justice in their clash here.
And with Vegeta I think he deserves his chance at Frieza and while I'm not really a fan of the Super Saiyan Blue transformation, I wanted to keep it in line with the anime, except this time giving the form a proper introduction as well as giving it to Vegeta specifically this time.
Anyway there's only one chapter left and I'm looking forward to wrapping up this story, so hopefully I'll see you guys there, thanks Literal!
