Class 1-A meets...

Chapter eight: Gentle can be manly

The audience that had been summoned by the Realmcrafter Talespinner69 had just finished watching the latest episode of the currently playing realm, in which class 1-A meets the members of the respective families of one another, one person at a time. The latest episode was particularly adorable, as it showed Tsuyu's little brother meeting the pro hero that he liked more than any other.

"Well that was adorable, I must admit," Ryukyu remarked as she sat next to Mirko, "And seeing how excited he was is all the more reason why I care so much about the youth of Japan."

Chuckling to herself, Mirko added, "It makes me wonder how Endeavor will act when he pops up, given that he's the Todoroki boy's daddy."

"What about that Dabi guy?" Nemuri asked, "He's Todoroki's older brother."

Hizashi sucked in a cringing breath. "Ooh, that's right. Todoroki is related to both of them. They'll be popping up at regular intervals in this show."

Shrugging, Todoroki said, "Who knows how they will be like?"

"Well Endeavor is a hero and Dabi is a villain," Monoma began, "My guess is that Endeavor will be shown as a paragon of society while Dabi will be unrepentant evil incarnate who will end up being defeated ultimately."

Dabi turned around to face Monoma, flipping him off with his right hand. "Well fuck you too, little buddy."

"Actually, I have a dreading feeling that in this realm that we're watching," Izuku began in a concerned tone, "That Todoroki's older brother will come off as getting along with us, while at the same time Endeavor will be made to look like a joke more or less."

Tale gave a shrug from where he and Kotaro stood in front of the big theater screen. "Who can say for certain? The only way to see how things will go is to continue watching."

"Indeed," Kotaro added, "In fact, we can see more now since we got the next episode ready to play.

Everyone turned around to face the big theater screen as the next episode of the current realm began to play, all of them wondering who exactly will be shown interacting with class 1-A this time around.

...

(Class 1-A meets Masaru Bakugo (Katsuki Bakugo's dad)

"Ah, speaking of dads we get Young Bakugo's father," Toshinori in the audience remarked in a mildly amused tone.

"All Might and I met Bakugo's parents during the time that UA staff met with parents to discuss the new dorm system," Aizawa said, "From what I could tell, Bakugo's father is a calmer and more patient person than both his wife and Bakugo himself."

"Heh heh, yeah," Mitsuki said in an embarrassed laugh, "Masaru does help to keep my head on straight at times." Bakugo said nothing, deciding to keep quiet out of curiosity as to how his dad will be shown acting in this realm.

Masaru was sitting at the table in his family's kitchen, drinking from a mug of coffee, as he read the paper one decent enough morning. As he read an article about the recent pro hero meet and greet event over at his son's school, the cellphone on the table went off, so Masaru answered the call.

"Hello?" Masaru said into the phone, "...Ah, good morning Inko. No, this is Masaru. Mitsuki said that she had to meet with some parents of students that she allowed to try some of her special brownies." After listening to Inko's reply, Masaru remarked, "Yeah, Mitsuki was a bit surprised to learn how upset some of the parents were."

"Maybe here, but for real I would never have edibles like that in the first place," Mitsuki in the audience commented.

"And it would make sense for mom to know Mr. Bakugo since she's friends with Mrs. Bakugo," Izuku pointed out.

Nodding in confirmation, Inko said, "Yes, Mitsuki did invite me to the wedding she had."

After listening to the next thing Inko had said, Masaru replied, "Yeah, most of those girls were a bit shaken, although that Ashido girl who hangs out with Katsuki and his friends seemed to be alright all things considered." After listening to Inko for a bit, Masaru continued, "Well I will admit Mitsuki does need to be careful at times. Not to mention tactful. Did I tell you that Mitsuki blamed Katsuki getting kidnapped by those villains on Katsuki himself?"

"She did what?!" Inko in the audience exclaimed, and a bunch of people in the audience all turned to look at Mitsuki with accusatory looks, making her shrink into her theater seat.

"Well hot damn, woman," Dabi remarked in a mildly disgusted tone, "Some mother you are, blaming your son getting kidnapped by villains on your son himself."

"Yeah, that was a dick move, you jerk," Spinner commented, sounding similarly as disgusted as Dabi did.

"You guys are some of the villains who kidnapped him!" Mitsuki snapped.

Folding his arms over his chest, Dabi turned back to face the big theater screen while saying, "That is beside the point."

After listening to Inko on the other end, Masaru said, "Yeah, she really needs to learn tact in certain situations. Oh, while we're on the subject of Katsuki, I'm actually set to go over to UA. Something about Nezu asking for help to update the school uniforms or something, as well as maybe tweak some hero costumes for the hero course students. Heh, it's a good thing that I work in the fashion industry."

"He works in the fashion industry in this realm?" Yaoyorozu in the audience remarked in a surprised tone.

"Actually that's his job for real, Ponytail," Bakugo commented, sounding a bit matter-of-factly and somewhat quiet.

Bakugo's sudden change in tone caught the attention of a number of others in the audience. "Are you okay, Kacchan?" Izuku asked, sounding concerned.

After a few seconds, Bakugo said while gesturing to his mom, "No, because the old hag just HAD to remind me that its my fault that All Might lost what he had left of his power trying to rescue my sorry ass!"

Once more, a number of audience members turned to look at Mitsuki with accusatory looks. "Wow, you're a right proper piece of work, you bitch," Mr. Compress remarked.

"Why don't you go back into the hole you crawled out from, lady?" Shigaraki scolded, clearly sounding upset with Mitsuki on Bakugo's behalf.

"YOU'RE THE ONES WHO KIDNAPPED HIM!" Mitsuki shouted, more annoyed than anything.

After exchanging a few more pleasantries, Masaru ended the call and finished breakfast before getting up and going about getting ready to head on over to UA for what he was going to do for Nezu apparently.

...

Over at UA, Masaru drove in after being directed by someone at the gate. He parked his car in a parking spot, then got out and made his way over to the main building for the school. As he made his way over, Masaru accidentally bumped into two students from class 1-A, those being Sero and Mineta.

"Oh, sorry about that one boys," Masaru replied as he apologized for bumping into them, "I'm just lost trying to find Nezu's office. I'm here to meet with him for discussions on making changes to the school uniforms here, as well as maybe update the costumes of some students in the hero course."

"Well he's a hell of a lot more polite than Bakugo, I would say," Hagakure in the audience commented, "Some may mistake him for being Izuku's dad at this rate."

"No, Mr. Bakugo isn't my dad," Izuku replied, laughing a bit with a hint of embarrassment in his tone.

Snapping his fingers, Todoroki said in a mildly disappointed tone, "Well there goes that theory."

"Oh, you're in the business of fashion," Sero said, his tone sounding mildly piqued, "And you're looking for Principal Nezu, you say?"

"Hey, since you're going to talk to Principal Nezu about making changes to the school uniforms, maybe you can pass along a message for me," Mineta remarked.

Looking down at Mineta, Sero said with a hint of disappointed knowing in his tone, "Dude, don't go asking him to convince Principal Nezu to replace the skirts in the girls' uniforms with tiny mini skirts."

"What are you talking about?" Mineta replied in a genuinely confused tone as he looked back up at Sero, "I was going to ask him to convince Principal Nezu to drop the requirement for boys to tuck their shirts in. That's way more important. Do you know how much of a bother it is to have to tuck our shirts in like that all the friggin' time?"

"Mineta's not being a pervert?!" Kyoka in the audience practically exclaimed in surprise.

"I must admit that Mineta's been pretty damn good in this realm so far, all things considered," Aizawa commented as he folded his arms over his chest, "He hasn't been seen acting up on screen yet, and the only negative treatment that he's gotten is for things that, in this realm, have occurred prior to the start of the show."

"Why would Mineta want the policy of boys tucking their shirts in to be dropped from the UA uniform standards?" Tenya asked.

Shrugging, Bakugo said, "I actually agree with the Grape Head on screen. That part is a total bother, not to mention a right proper pain in the ass."

"Hmm, I'll bring it up," Masaru replied, a hint of dryness in his tone as he had the boys take him to see Nezu so that he could have discussions with him on the possible changes that he had been brought in to help with making.

...

After getting into Nezu's office, the two men sat down and brought about discussions on the changes that Nezu was interested in. "So yes," Nezu said, "Given that it's getting a bit nippy outside with the colder weather, I was looking into someone to help with making changes to the uniforms for the girls here at UA to help them mitigate some of the disadvantages that they have, as the girl uniforms aren't all too effective at keeping the girls warm."

"Can I see a picture of what the girls uniform looks like?" Masaru asked. Nezu was about to speak up, but he was interrupted when Tsuyu and Kyoka entered the office.

"You wanted to see us for something, Principal Nezu?" Tsuyu asked.

"Yes, it's about a scuffle between two women outside of the main entry gate the morning after the recent pro hero meet and greet event, and I think that you two may be helpful in identifying said women," Nezu said, "But that can wait a bit." Gesturing to the girls, Nezu said, "These girls are wearing the standard UA girls uniform. What do you think can be changed to help keep the girls of UA warm during the colder weather?"

"Well for starters you can lengthen the skirts a bit," Masaru suggested, "Maybe permit the girls to wear sweatpants under their skirts in some cases."

"So he's helping with trying to keep the girls warm in the colder weather," Nezu in the audience said, "And he does make good points."

"Also, me and Tsuyu were called in about two women getting into a scuffle outside of UA," Kyoka said. Face palming, Kyoka went on with a hint of embarrassment in her tone, "I hope that this has nothing to do with me and Tsuyu's respective moms from a few episodes ago."

"Lengthen our skirts?" Kyoka said, "That will probably disappoint that perverted troll Mineta, who would obviously argue for shortening the girls' skirts instead."

"A short boy with purple balls for hair?" Masaru asked, then continued after both girls nodded in the affirmative, "I actually ran into him earlier, but all he did was ask me to try to convince Nezu to drop the requirement for boys to tuck their shirts in."

"...That's it?" Nezu said, a hint of surprise in his tone, "Wow. I was kind of thinking that Mineta would do what miss Jiro here suggested." A look of consideration appeared on Nezu's face. "Yeah, I have been hearing how a lot of the boys here don't like having to tuck their shirts in. I think I can go ahead and make tucking shirts in for the boys to be optional, outside of special events where the boys are expected to show more decorum."

"Yeah, that sounds reasonable," Nezu in the audience remarked casually.

"Why did you on screen sound surprised to hear I was being well behaved?" Mineta asked his school's principal.

"To be fair, you haven't exactly given us much reason for real to not doubt you," Aizawa commented, "But your behaviour in this realm has been pretty good. I think that, in this realm, if the you there can keep it up, he can avoid trouble for the most part."

Smiling with a hint of amusement in his expression, Masaru said, "I bet Katsuki will be happy to hear that."

"Katsuki?" Kyoka said in a mildly surprised tone, "That's Bakugo's first name."

"Oh, you know him?" Masaru asked, "Yeah, I'm Katsuki's dad. The name's Masaru."

"Wait, you're Bakugo's dad kero?" Tsuyu said in a surprised tone, "Wow, you seem awfully polite and well behaved to be related to Bakugo. I would have guessed that you were Izuku's dad."

"Called it!" Hagakure in the audience cheered.

"Hey, why don't you go meet with the students in 1-A, give them a heads up on the changes that are going to be made?" Nezu suggested.

Nodding once in agreement, Masaru replied, "Sounds like a plan." Masaru then got up and had the girls lead him to the rest of 1-A.

...

A few moments later, Masaru was talking to all of 1-A and Aizawa about changes to the girls' uniforms that would be made, as well as little changes in the school dress code as well as how there was going to be some updates to costumes for hero course students. "We no longer have to tuck our shirts in!" Mineta cheered as he pumped a fist into the air, "Sweet!"

"So you're Bakugo's dad, huh?" Mina said as she and some of the other 1-A students eyed Masaru, a hint of knowing curiosity in her tone, "Then maybe-"

"Unlike my mom, my dad won't attempt to get any of us high," Bakugo interrupted, knowing full well what Mina was going to ask.

The 1-A girls aside from Mina looked relieved, but as for Mina she, along with Kaminari and Sero to a lesser extent, snapped their fingers in disappointment. "Damn it," Mina said in a tone of clear complaint.

FIN

"So my dad is more reliable here than mom is," Bakugo commented.

"I should hope that you know I would never let you or any of your classmates get high for real, Katsuki," Mitsuki said.

Scoffing in a disappointed tone, Gentle Criminal said, "But you are willing to blame your son getting kidnapped on your son himself, rather than take umbrage with the actual kidnappers."

"Seriously, that was a raw fucking deal you gave to your own child," Rappa scoffed.

"You villains are the ones who kidnapped Katsuki!" Mitsuki snapped.

"Actually," Toga began, "Neither Gentle Criminal nor Rappa were ever a part of the League of Villains. They never had any part in kidnapping that blasty boy."

Turning to look at Kotaro, Tale said, "Wow, it's amazing that the villains of all people would be the first to stick up for Bakugo against his own mother."

"Just because they're villains doesn't mean they don't have standards," Kotaro remarked.

END OF CHAPTER

Author's notes;

Yeah, in case it wasn't obvious, I am not a big fan of certain bits like Mitsuki blaming Bakugo getting kidnapped by the LoV on Bakugo himself for 'being weak'; that is no es bueno. Anyway, this was the Masaru chapter, so now I need to brainstorm the plot for the next chapter.

There's only some of Todoroki's family, some of Tsuyu's family and Kyoka's mom left, so I don't have too many people to worry about (I'm only using named characters that have appeared). Anyone care to take a stab at who will be next?
