F3: Hello everyone and welcome back to Part 2. We last left off with Team SPIR defeating team NDGO in spectaular fashion. Let's see what happens next in Part 2. Before we get started RWBY is the property of Rooster Teeth and Monty Oum. The OCs of Team SPIR, Melanie Tora and Ophelia Sorrel are owned by me while Akane Shidou, Diana Mirai are owned by Decode9 and Senka Linwood owned by MountainKing312. Let's Get Started.
Volume 3-17: Amulet (Part 2)
The crowd cheered in the arena as Star and her team walked off the battlefield completely satisfied of their victory as their opposition walked off in the other direction.
"Man that was really something else." Star replied.
"We won! I feel like I want to shout it out to everyone!" Iona cheered bouncing up and down with joy.
"It's surprising how your attitude changes from serious to joyful." Rina compliment.
"We're not out of the woods yet. That was just the first round. Next will be the doubles round. Only two of us will be able to compete which it'll be up to Star to decide who should fight." Pepper replied.
"I'll have to make a decision." Star started but then her stomach growled.
"After we get something to eat. That got me starving." Star added.
"Then how about we head toward the festival. I'm pretty sure they have some vendors to dine at." Iona suggested but Rina wasn't for that idea.
"You girls can go on ahead. I'm going to head back to the school. Maybe see if the cafeteria has something." Rina said.
That made the others look at her weirdly "Theirs not going to be many people at the school. Everyone is most likely around the festival. It wouldn't hurt you to go along." Star replied but Rina only shook her head.
"No thanks. You girls go on. I'll meet you back at the dorms later." Rina said sternly as she walked off.
"Okay what was that about?" Iona questioned as they watched Rina walk away from them.
"She was rather firm about not going to the festival." Pepper replied as began thinking of something but her stomach had other ideas as it growled in protest.
"Let's get something to eat." Pepper added as the others agreed and headed toward the festival.

Meanwhile with Team AMLT were waiting in their team room waiting for them to be announced as they watched another team going at it.
"So that's Team FNKI right? An Atlas team." Melanie replied.
Akane then glanced toward Diana as she was from Atlas as well.
"Anything we need to be prepared for?" She asked as Diana nodded.
"The guy in the fedora is Flynt Coal. He's the leader of the team. His semblance can create copies of himself to amplify his attacks. That trumpet of his can create soundwave attacks which isn't bad if your far away but if you get close his attack become much more dangerous." Diana added.
"And what about the other three?" Melanie asked.
"Miss Pinkie over their is Neon Katt. She's fast and agile especially on those roller blades of hers. Plus she has a pair of nunchaku she has which from the looks of it she is very skilled." Diana said.
"The blue haired boy is Kobalt Fink. He's a brawler type but if he attacks the ground he can generate controlled shockwaves to blast his opponents with. Want to make sure his fists don't hit the ground." Diana added as she looked at the silver haired man next.
"And finally Ivory Masters. He's sort of the brains of the team. He likes using his whip for quick strikes and grab attacks so want to steer clear of both but he's not very well versed in close range attacks so we take advantage of that." Diana said as the fight was coming to a close.
"An excellent show of teamwork for Team FNKI. It appears that Atlas Academy doesn't intend on losing as they move on to the next round." Port said over the TV.
"Now I know you all must be tired so we'll take a brief intermission before the next match." Oobleck announced.
"Looks like we'll have some time to kill before the next match. What do you girls want to do?" Akane asked.
Before anyone could speak a knock came at their door.
"Come in." Akane replied as both Rieka and Glynda stepped inside.
"Our apologies for the interruption but Headmaster Ozpin would like to speak with all of you." Glynda replied simply.
However Melanie only raised an eyebrow at that statement "What about?" She questioned.
"He didn't say. Only for us to bring all members of Team AMLT. Saying that it's rather urgent." Rieka said.
Senka though wasn't convinced as she looked toward Akane "What do you think? Should we go with them?" She questioned.
Akane however thought something was off. The announcer would just suddenly call for an intermission then the two teachers of Beacon show up just so they could take them to Ozpin. Something was fishy and Akane wasn't liking it but knowing that the tournament is in intermission they might as well see what Ozpin wants.
"Alright. We'll go with you. To talk with Ozpin." Akane replied as the two teachers nodded.
"Then follow us if you will." Glynda said as she and Rieka escorted Team AMLT outside the arena toward a bullhead as they took off from the arena.

Meanwhile at the festival Team RWBY was enjoying what the festival brought with plenty of vendors for food and games and even rides.
"Aw my god! Look at all of this!" Ruby squealed as she began zipping from one vendor to another.
"Does she always get this excited?" Weiss questioned Yang who simply laughed at her sisters antics.
"Oh yeah. Especially when it comes to festivals. We have an annual festival on Patch every year and it always brings something new to the table, but having a chance to see the Vytal Festival is a rare sight for her." Yang replied.
Blake chuckled at that "I can imagine why. She knows how to brighten up a place." Blake commented.
Other teams were out as well as Team JNPR were at a ring toss with Jaune trying to win at it but missed four times with the rings but his final time he got the ring on as he selected a prize before picking a small ursa plushie and handing over to Pyrrha who gladly accepted it.
Nora was next as she immediately threw all the rings at the same time and by some dumb luck managed to get a ring around each pole. With a big grin on her face she picked out the biggest plushie which was a brown bear plushie and hugged it against herself.
Cardins team was their as well as Cardin was trying to find an appropriate gift for his girlfriend with his team helping him out.
"Looks like every team is here." Yang said as Ruby came back with a big smile on her face.
"Man their is so much to see. It's going to take all four days just to look at everything." Ruby replied.
"Don't forget they announced an intermission. We don't know how long it'll be." Weiss replied.
"I know that but doesn't mean we still can't enjoy this a little." Ruby replied however what she didn't know was that someone familiar was coming right behind her.
"Is that Ruby Rose I see." A familiar voice replied as Ruby went wide eyed recognizing the voice immediately as she turned around and saw Ophelia right in front of her.
"Ophelia! You actually made it." Ruby said genuially surprised that her long time friend had shown up.
Ophelia then noticed Yang "And Yang Xio Long. Man almost didn't recognize you with that haircut." She replied.
"Hey there kitty cat. Long time no see." Yang said giving the disabled cat faunus a gentle hug which left Blake and Weiss confused.
"Is she a friend of yours?" Weiss asked.
"She's a friend of mine when I was going to Signal. She sort of helped me break out of my shell." Ruby replied.
"By that you mean..." Blake began gesturing Ruby to continue but Yang stepped in.
"Ruby wasn't always a social butterfly. She normally shied away from big crowds as if she wasn't trying to be seen. Then came the bullies that like to pester her which really didn't help her none." Yang said which Ruby sighed softly at that.
"Then one day I tried to fight back against them but I only ended up with cut on my forehead." Ruby replied which surprised Weiss and Blake.
"Really I don't see a scar." Weiss replied but it was quickly answered as Ruby lifted up the front part of her hair. It was faint but an one inch scar was their right acrossed her foreheard.
"I shouted for help but didn't think anyone would come, but it caught Ophelias attention and next thing I know the bullies are on the ground and she was helping me up. It was a little slow at first but we eventually became friends. Even though someone got detention for that." Ruby added.
"Totally worth it. Those bullies had it coming. Nobody messes with Red Rose over here." Ophelia said only to get a groan from Ruby.
"I thought we agreed to never call me that." Ruby said.
"Right sorry." Ophelia said rubbing the back of her head nervously.
Weiss and Blake smiled a little but still noticed the wheelchair she was in.
"So how's your recovery coming?" Yang questioned.
The cat faunus let out a defeated sigh as if something was wrong "It... could be better." She replied.
That didn't sound good. Ruby placed her hand on her friend shoulder before she spoke out.
"What's wrong? Did something happen?" Ruby asked.
Ophelia thought a moment of what to say before finally speaking.
"I spoke with my doctor for my therapy and... it's not good. My legs... haven't been able to move since the incident. That was about three months ago." Ophelia said sadly.
"What did they say?" Blake asked.
Ophelia let out a breath before she said "That I have two options. One basically having staying like this for the rest of my life. Two... is to consider amputation for prosthetics." She said.
"But aren't prosthetics expensive? I know that Melanie has one on her left arm." Ruby replied.
"Yeah but that is just one limb. We're talking about two here. That in itself is expensive. Something that I can't afford." Ophelia replied.
However that is when Yang remembered something.
"Hold on don't you go to Haven Academy?" Yang said.
Ophelia nodded "Yeah." She answered.
"Then if you were injuried during your mission they should be able to help you with getting what you need right." Yang said which only made Ophelia fidget in her wheelchair.
"Or you didn't ask for the help did you." Yang added which only made Ophelia nodded nervously.
Ruby only sighed "You are one stubborn girl you know that." Ruby said crossing her arms.
"How about we enjoy the rest of the festival before we have to head back. Never know when the intermission is going to end." Blake said.
"Sure. Care to join us." Yang replied. Ophelia simply nodded as the group of five decided to look around the festival some more.

After about a fifteen minute flight Team AMLT finally landed on the campus of Beacon Academy as Akane and the rest deposited from the airship. The group looked on at the large campus still in awe.
"Wow. This place never ceases to amaze every time we see it." Akane complimented.
"Please follow us. Ozpin is waiting." Rieka ordered as the teachers led the team toward Ozpins office. What they didn't know was that someone else who'd also returned to the academy was watching them from a distance with curiosity.
"Okay wonder what is happening here?" Rina asked herself as she decided to follow them but do it secretly.
After about a five minute walk they reached an elevator that opened up as the five got into the elevator. Rina noticed this as she peek behind the wall as the elevator ascended to a higher level.
"Darn. Now what." Rina said to herself before looking upward seeing a vent. She looked around making sure no one else was around before she took off her gloves and started climbing the walls, popped opened the vent and crawled into the vent.
The elevator door opened revealing Ozpins office as the six of them walked out of the elevator.
"We brought them as you requested." Rieka replied.
"Thank Ms. Orion, Ms. Goodwitch. You may leave us now." Ozpin said as the two teachers left them as it was now just Team AMLT and Ozpin.
"So you're the infamous headmaster Ozpin that everyone talks about." Akane replied.
"Yes. Pleasure to meet you Ms. Shidou." Ozpin replied as Akane took a step back.
"How'd you know who I was?" Akane asked.
"I now when I'm in the presence of a Shidou." Ozpin replied both overlooking each of them.
"More than I can say about each of you as well." He said.
"What do you mean?" Senka questioned.
"I know much about each of your families history. More importantly your family line Miss Linwood. Though your name has been blackened because of the history of what had happened. Especially with Kain sons killing his family a long time ago and pledged themselves to a queen. However your grandfather stopped that did he not along side someone else?" Ozpin replied which made Senka's eyes go wide in surprise.
"How do you know about that?" Senka questioned before remembering something that her grandfather mentioned.
"Wait he did mention something to me that he and someone by the name of Ozu helped with correcting the Linwood line. But that still doesn't answer how'd you know about it." Senka replied.
Diana then noticed something about his cane more importantly the symbol on it was the orginal symbol of the Mirai family.
"Professor how'd you get that cane?" Diana questioned.
Ozpin looked toward the aged cane with a sense of familiarity.
"This was created a long time ago. By someone named Rean Mirai. Your ancestor Diana." Ozpin replied which shocked Diana. She knew that name as it was his skills and the stories of this legendary family member that inspired her grandfather to start the company.
He then turned toward Melanie who in his eyes looked like a smaller version of Apollo.
"Then you must be Melanie Tora. You certainly wear your name proudly. Your great grandfather would be proud of you." Ozpin said but Melanie remained stoic but had a thoughtful look in her eyes as if she was recalling something.
"You certainly know a lot for just a simple headmaster. But I don't think your a simple headmaster are you. I don't think you would simply do research on our family tree more importantly about my great grandfather. Historians don't record those who were involved in the great war. So that only makes me wonder Ozpin. Who are you?" Melanie questioned.
Inside Ozpin smile knowing that Melanie would eventually figure it out having a great mind just like Apollo when he was fighting along side him.
"Let's just say I had lived many lifes Miss Tora, and that is no lie." Ozpin started.
"I had been known by many names as well. Ozma being one of those lifes when I first obtained this cane. Ozu being another life, and finally living the life as Ozui. I also have experiance many things which is why I had called all of you here. To ask for your help." Ozpin replied.
The four of them listened to what Ozpin had said but well above them Rina was currently listening through the vents.
"What is he talking about that he's lived many lifes? What is going on?" Rina thought to herself as she listened further.
"Why would you need our help?" Akane asked.
"Their is going to be a threat coming to Beacon. A threat that has plagued this world for just as long I have lived." Ozpin started before looking toward Senka.
"And that has claimed many of your ancestors. A queen by the name of Salem." Ozpin said.
"Why are you telling us? We're just students." Akane said.
"Yes but you Akane yourself just like Senka will be targeted because of the power you posses. Your silver eyes. The power to erase grimm with just a glance but I believe you've seen its other power haven't you." Ozpin mentioned which made the girl flinch a bit.
"I need your help in order to protect this school, it's students and the maidens that are here in this school." Ozpin replied which confused the four and Rina who was still watching them.
"You mean that story about the four maidens. They're real? And two of them are here in this school?" Senka asked as Ozpin nodded before bringing up to picture of the two.
"Cinder Fall. She is the current fall maiden." He started before going to Stars picture.
"And Star Azure. I believe she has the power of the winter maiden. Salem will do whatever it takes to take their powers from them. I know this'll mean putting you four at risk and in danger and if wish to decline I can understand." Ozpin replied.
A few minutes past as the team looked at each "Ozpin we'll gladly help. As future huntresses we can't turn down help no matter who it is." Akane replied.
"So you basically want us to keep out eyes open for anything suspicous. We can do that." Senka said.
Ozpin carefully look on at the group as if seeing the spirits of those he had been friends with a small smile on his face.
"Very well. Thank you. Miss Goodwitch will show you back to the arena." Ozpin said as the team decided to head back to the arena as they exited Ozpins office.
Ozpin then went back around and sat down at his desk before looking upward toward the vent.
"How long do you plan on staying up their Miss Trill?" He asked aloud which surprised Rina who was in the vent.
Being caught she had no choice but to open the vent she was in and briskly came down from the vent landing safely.
"So you knew I was their huh." Rina said placing a hand on her hip.
"Yes. Though it is impolite to spy on people. Though that is your specialty as a theif if I'm not mistaken." Ozpin replied which surprised Rina but she surprisingly smiled a little.
"So you know about that as well. Then I take it you know more about me as well." Rina replied knowingly as Ozpin nodded.
"Yes. That you are a spider faunus which means you're the Spider but your transcript papers say that you're human. Is their anything that I'm missing " Ozpin added. However that did make Rina wonder something that she had to get off her chest.
"Alright then I got a question. If you knew that I was the one going around robbing dust shops and attending your academy that I got in illegaly then why hadn't you reported me? You could've gotten rid of me before intiations." Rina questioned.
Ozpin looked at her calmly "I believe that everyone is deserving of a chance to be who they want to be. Even you Miss Trill are deserving of a chance." Ozpin said.
Rina took a moment as she took in what Ozpin said before she spoke out.
"You know that you could get in trouble for housing a criminal right. If especially Ironwood finds out we both would get arrested." Rina replied.
"I am well aware of that. But sometimes you need to take a risk for those that deserve a fair opportunity." Opzin said wisely but he continued.
"However I have a question for you Miss Trill. Does your team know about who you are?" Ozpin questioned.
Rina shook her head "No and I prefer it to stay that way thank you." Rina said.
Ozpin sighed "Miss Trill. I understand your concern to hide yourself from the world but you can't hide who you are forever. Eventually your team will figure out who you are and you'll have to explain to them." He replied.
"So what your saying is that I should just tell them that I'm a spider faunus that is also a theif that steals from anyone and everyone that deserves it. Yeah that ain't happening." Rina said defiently.
"Very well. I won't stop you from making a choice but that is up to you at what you do." Ozpin replied.
"Yeah." Rina added before turning to leave.
"I'm going get in a nap. Be ready for the second round of the tournament." She said as she walked away.
"Also Miss Trill. I suggest you keep a sharp eye on your leader. I have a feeling that your leader might be a target." Ozpin replied.
"Sure." Rina replied as she walked out of the office taking the elevator down.

Meanwhile thanks to Glynda Team AMLT was able to return to the arena and was escorted back to their team room.
"The next match will begin soon so I suggest you get yourselves ready." Glynda said to them as she left the team to their thoughts.
"Hey Akane. You sure we did the right thing back their with Ozpin. Helping him fight in this shadow war against this Salem?" Melanie questioned with a look of uncertainty.
"I don't think Ozpin was lying. He said something about their being two maidens here. Cinder Fall and Star Azure and yet I don't think he's giving us the full disclosure." Akane said.
"So he's hiding something else." Senka said pondering a thought.
"From what we can tell Ozpin is a smart man. If someone is after the fall and winter maidens you think he would have a backup plan for something like this if it ever occured." Akane added.
However a thought came into Diana's mind "What if he only has a plan for only one of the maidens?" She spoke recalling that he had confirmed for sure that Cinder was the fall maiden. He wasn't positive on the winter maiden.
"What do you mean by that?" Akane questioned.
"Before this whole tournament. What if Ozpin already knew who one of them was but didn't know about the other and has a plan for only the one." Diana replied.
"Yeah but we don't know what kind of plan Ozpin might have or for which maiden." Senka said.
However Melanie recalled something that Ozpin said to them about the two maidens most importantly about the fall maiden.
"He said 'current' fall maiden." The tiger faunus replied.
"Hm. You got something Mel." Akane said.
"I believe he already has a plan for the fall maiden but is waiting to execute it. It's the way he said it back in his office. The 'current' fall maiden." Melanie added.
"So he has a plan for Cinder already but nothing for Star yet. Guess that's probably a reason he'd called us. To maybe come up with an idea." Diana added.
"Alright for now we keep a sharp eye on Star or anything that'll pose a threat. Ozpin said that there'll be a threat to the tournament or maybe even Vale itself so we keep a sharp lookout for anything out of the ordinary. Okay team." Akane ordered as the rest of them nodded.
"May Team AMLT please report to the staging area. Repeat Team AMLT to the staging area." The intercom voice said.
"Guess we're up. Let's give it our all everyone." Akane said as the team gathered their weapons and headed out of their room to the staging area so they could begin their match of the first round.
F3: And that is part 2. So Ozpin has revealed himself to Team AMLT about a potential threat and who he really is and having some words with Rina. Wonder how this'll turn out.
