Hey this is a repost because the end of this chapter for some reason got deleted and that's not good. Ot wasn't super important to the story but it was still incomplete so yah... sorry about how many reposts I have been having to do but for some reason the format likes to change from normal words to code and I have zero clue why, so super sorry about that. Jesus loves you and I hope you have a good day. Also thank you for almost doubling the amount of reviews i have. I don't think you know how much those mean to me. Also the tenth chapter is underway already! Hope you enjoy - therandomslytherin
Chapter 9
Zues sat there in his chair with a face filled with shock. It took him a minute for the words to settle in. Then after the words settled in the meaning of this started to fully come down to him.
The hero is turning against us, he thought. He didn't think that things could get worse but the second Percy opened his mouth they did.
"You look a little lost so let me fill you in," he said, smirking. "You made me a god right? Well I didn't really want that and the only reason that I said yes was so that I could a.) protect my daughter and b.) overthrow you, not Olympus, you."
Percy looked around the room as some of the gods began to move from their seats. Apollo, Dionysis, and Poesidon all gathered around Percy, then flashed out of the room. This left 9 of the Olympians in their thrones.
"I give you the chance to join me now," Percy stated, gaining more and more confidence by the minute. "And if any of you need any further motivation, I would like to introduce you to my sister Jayla."
At the mention of the name, all of the Olympians began to look around. Is this the same Jayla, they were asking each other silently. They had all been there the day the girl had been sentenced. Most of them wanted to object but it was a time of great unrest. All of the big three were mad and none of them wanted to cause any more damage. They thought Hades' kids got off well but when they heard the fate of Poesidons daughter, most shivered at the thought.
"My sister," Percy bellowed, "has been stuck in the pit for who knows how long."
"Well it has been-" Hera started to say.
"No, however long you are going to say it would be incorrect. Time down there works very differently. I may have been x amount of years up here, but down there it could have felt like centuries," Percy finished fuming.
All of the remaining gods looked at each other, none knowing what to do next. As most of them came to a conclusion only one stepped forwards to join him.
"I will join you Perseus," Hephaestus said. "You have done much for Olympus and I believe that you would bring in an era of peace.''
Percy nodded in appreciation as he gently placed his hand on the god's shoulder. HE sent him to their base in the underworld then turned around to face the gods.
"Is that Jayla, like the Jayla?" Zeus asked.
"Yes, uncle," Jayla snarled.
"If none of the rest of you are going to join, I must get going." With that Percy grabbed Jayla's and sent her to Hades. Then he turned back to the others. He smirked a little as two giant stygian iron spikes appeared on the males side of the room. The two spikes cleared away most of the wall. Percy looked one last time at the gods before running towards the newly created hole. Have fun removing those Percy thought, as he jumped out of the hole. He soared down towards the earth, then flashed away. He had a bone to pick with Hades.
"Please let her live again,my son too," Percy pleaded. He had been going back and forth with his uncle for a few hours trying to let him allow two souls to return to the living.
"I can't make an exception, even for you Jackson," Hades said, sounding thoroughly annoyed.
"Please. I just need them mortal long enough to make them immortal so that we can take our time with planning," Percy reasoned.
"Brother please. I don't want to hear my kid complain for the rest of time and I would rather like my grandson back," Poseidon said from across the room. Hades and Percy were sitting in chairs at a table while Poesidon was off to the side. The three rather enjoyed the room as Poly herself designed it.
"Why didn't you ask me earlier," Hades tried to reason.
"Oh I have no clue. Maybe, just maybe, you happened to tell me that I could never see my wife and son again because of the 'laws','' Percy said.
Hades smirked a little as he said, "I may have lies just a little."
"No shit."
"Hey, for some reason that week was getting boring and I needed to see some entertainment."
"Planning a war on your brother, my uncle, isn't enough for you?"
"Wow, bro. I didn't know that you would step so low," Poseidon remarked.
"Fine, I'll do it."
When Hades said that, Percy had to refrain himself from doing a happy dance. He would finally have his Wise Girl back.
All of a sudden Annabeth and Austin appeared in front of Percy, Hades and Poesidon. They looked around confused as they started to change. Their skin tone went from a soft grey to her normal tan. She regained all color and so did Austin. She looked at herself when she started to glow and black and blue color. She looked up at Percy with a look of questioning on her face. After the glowing died down she asked Percy, "what did you do to me?"
"Partial immortality, similar to the hunters."
Poseidon and Hades looked impressed. He had figured out how to give a blessing and he had only been a god for a few months. Annabeth on the other hand hand did not look impressed. She walked straight up to Percy and slapped him across the face. Poesidon and Hades started snickering but, when she judo-flipped him, that sent them over the edge.
"Hey wise girl," Percy said to the best of his ability.
"You left us you jerk," she screamed.
Percy winced as he started tearing up.
"I- I'm sorry," he said. Annabeth began to open her mouth but Percy quickly cut her off. "Yes, I know. It's a lousy excuse for an apology. But I want you to know I'm sorry. And I want you to know that I never forgot about you. But I am also sorry for doing it again."
Annabeth looked at Percy, her head spinning. What did he do that I wouldn't like, she thought. She ran through all of the missions and times she had gotten mad at him. There were so many, too many. She couldn't think what he could do that would make him sound almost scared, but not for himself, for her. She was about to ask when it came to her.
*Flash Back* Annabeth POV (first person)
I was staring at Percy as he looked at Misery with pure hatred in his eyes. He looked like he knew he was about to be in pain again but he didn't care. Poison was surrounding him when I saw something change. His eyes went dark, like a stormy sea. He stood up when the poison around him started to retract. I was confused why she would let up on him till I saw the look of shock on Misery's face. Then I saw his hands, bent in concentration.
"What is this," Misery shrieked.
"Poison," Percy said. "That's your speciality, right?"
Then he started to choke her in her own poison, tears, whatever. I was scared. I started backing away, trying to get away.
"Percy," I screamed. "Percy, please."
End of flashback
When Annabeth woke up she saw faces surrounding her. She wanted to run away and hide until she heard a voice.
"Annabeth, what happened?"
She practically wept with relief as she lunged into Percy.
"Hey, hey. Wise girl, what's wrong," he asked, sounding worried.
"Did you do it again? What you did to Misery?"
He looked down before he nodded. Why, he thought. I knew she was going to find out but why now and in front of others. He looked down and found Annabeth weeping in his shoulder.
"You said you would never do it again."
"I was too angry, I saw him kill you in front of my eyes. I thought that I lost you forever. By the time I reached you you were dead. I never got to say goodbye, I never got to tell I love you." Percy was begging to get choked up as tears threatened to spill over.
"Hey I'm sorry I judged you," Annabeth said. Percy looked up to her and was going to say something when he was interrupted by a child throwing himself into Percy's arms. Austin crashed into Percy as he hugged him in a tight embrace, The two stayed like that for a long time, crying quietly into each other's shoulder, father and son. They didn't notice when another body embraced them, then another. By the time they had finished, Poseidon, Annabeth and Poly all joined the hug. When they finally got up Percy nodded his appreciation to all of them and motioned to a table that had appeared out of nowhere. Percy flashed a quick smile at his daughter as they made their way over to their seats.
"I guess you all want to know what happened?"
Percy's question was met with head nods as he sighed and began to tell everyone what had happened after they were killed. He covered most of the war at Camp Half Blood for Austin, how he defeated Tartarus, became a god and everything that had happened after. When he finished everyone looked on the verge of tears as the regret in his voice was obvious. Then everyone turned toward the two siblings, who were sitting at the end of the table. They took this as a notion that it was their turn to speak, so Austin started off his tale.
"When dad left for New York, I told him that me and sissy could handle ourselves and help the romans. We started to prepare when Frank caught us. He made us go back to the house and locked the door, not wanting anything to happen to us." He took a pause for air as he looked at his sister for reassurance. When she nodded, he continued.
"We were bored in the house but stayed alert the whole time. Every time we heard a scream we would rush to the front window to see if somebody needed help. Well once someone was fighting a monster, or we thought. We opened the door and told them to come inside. We led the 'person' to the kitchen where we gave her a glass of water. Poly felt something off but we ignored it. Soon we heard a cry of outrage. She started murmuring how there had become a new master and she had to return. When we asked about it she smiled at us then stabbed me in the shoulder. Poly was amazing though, She grabbed a dagger and stabbed her, turning it into a pile of gold dust. She held me as I drifted off."
The whole table sat in stunned silence. These kids had done this. Everyone was in shock when Perct stood up, loudly scratching his chair against the floor.
"Where do you think you are going," Annabeth asked.
"To go let off some steam," Percy replied, barely above a whisper.
Annabeth leaned over to her husband and held his face so that it looked straight at hers.
"I know you want to find this monster and kill them but Percy that will keep us off track. Please, stay focused and I promise we can go monster hunting after the meeting, k?"
Perct slowly nodded as he slid back into his seat.
"What are we going to do now," Poseidon inqueried.
A new voice came from the entrance of the room. "Good question." They all turned to see the new arrival.
"Athena thank you so much for-" Hades said but he was cut off.
"Mom," Annabeth cried. She got up from her chair and slowly walked over to her mother. When Annabeth made a conflicted face, Athena simply shook her head and held out her arms. Annabeth crashed into them with her kids following shortly.
"What are you doing here, I thought you were on the other side," Annabeth said.
Athena shook her head and replied, "no, I am with Percy on this one. I am however a spy for our spy so please don't blow my cover."
Annabeth snickered, "no problem."
As the two sat down Hades almost sighted with relief. He could finally get the meeting over with.
"Are we ready to began?"
After a lot of resoundeding head nods, he began to speak.
"We have a lot of new gods here which means they have a lot more power than we already know. We will have to train them which will undoubtedly take a large amount of time. We also want to have our army at the strongest it can be whenever we decide to fight the big guy. He may not have many gods but he sure does have large armies at his disposal."
Percy snorted at the thought of that, "Asshole," he murmured under his breath.
"What was that," Hades said, sounding amused.
"Well if he had armies of great numbers, where were his troops during the wars?"
"I don't know but still we need to be at our strongest."
"It might take a while and we will have to keep tabs on the new demi-gods that will start coming in slowly, getting them all on our side," Athena added.
"Oh, and me, Austin, Poly and Annabeth can build a palace in Tartarus so that the base can be super secret," Percy said.
"Good idea," Annabeth mumbled.
Percy looked at her with a face of shock.
"Did you just - did you guys hear that? Did Annabeth Jackson just give ME, seaweed brain, a complement?"
Annabeth face palmed while the others laughed. After a while the started to calm down and finally Hades got to speak again. "SO when do we start with you secret base, Jackson"
"Tomorrow."
