September 3rd

Ash had come back from Kalos with a new Pokémon and he was much stronger too. Chloe was starting to get closer to Ash and Goh especially after the fossil incident the trio had.

Ash sat on a chair humming to himself. Pikachu sat on his lap. Riolu and Farfetch'd had a light pyshical spar while there trainer relaxed on the chair.

"Ash, Ash, Ash!!!!" Goh barged in screaming and running trough the door. Pikachu jumped off Ash's lap. Ash turned to see Goh almost crash to the floor and Riolu and Farfecth'd looked at the trainer in suprise with there eye brow's raised.

"What" Ash said as he turned to see Goh. "Bea she's in the 193 ranking" Goh stated as he panted. "She's gonna get to Ultra Class in no time. And I'm still barely on the 890 ranking" Ash tought looking at Goh with narrowed eyes.

"Great. But how do-"

"She's in Johto and she's in Cianwood Gym!!" Goh quickly interrupted as his face became red. "Perfect oppurtunity to regain my pride and honour" Farcetch'd said. "I shall take this task with diligence and great pleasure".

"You said it. I'm gonna beat that Grapploct" Riolu stated as he raised his fist. "Should have said it before. Come on Goh let's go" Ash said as he got up with a smile of determination. Goh nodded and both left off to Cianwood.

The group had tooken a boat to Cianwood City. It was a relatively short journey as the boat was made for fast travel and the current waves where calm. Ash and Goh stood infront of Cianwood Gym. Pikachu as always was on Ash's shoulder, Riolu beside Ash's right. Goh had his Sobble clinging to his back and Raboot beside Goh with his stare in an indifferent manner as always.

Ash quickly barged with Riolu following him, Pikachu already knew his trainer's pace so he stood unbothered. Goh's Sobble turned invisible. Goh was suprised and sweat dropping. Raboot was well Raboot...

"Ash sure wants to beat Bea" Goh exclaimed. Sobble slowly nodded in agreement. "Atleast he wants to fight..." Raboot complained as took a pebble out of his pouch and kicked it.

Ash ran to the Cianwood Gym field. He entered and saw Bea's Grapploct exchanging blows with Chuck's Poliwrath it was a very heated spar. "Challenger nearby" Rotom phone notified in the heat of battle.

The battle stopped. Bea looked at Ash. "It seems the Riolu trainer came back" Bea tought. "Your the Riolu trainer" Bea stated in her usual monotone voice. "My name is-". "Bea this is Ash Ketchum. He was a previous Gym challenger" Chuck said. "You remember" Ash stated in shock."That was years ago I must have been eleven or I must have been barely twelve"

Chuck nodded as he ordered his Poliwrath to stop. He then observed the two trainers. Ash and Bea glancedat eachother with fire and determination—"You should use my gym to settle the score" Chuck commented. "I know that look of defiance and pride. I would know"

Bea nodded and now stood in a more aggresive pose—"That is acceptable" Bea admitted. "He looks different he looks more aggresive and mature. But it remains to be seen if it's backed by skill".

"Thanks Chuck. Bea could you please send your Hawlucha first, my Farfecth'd has a score to settle" Ash stated as he moved to where Chuck stood. Chuck moved aside.

Goh had entered and started to look around, he saw Ash and Bea getting ready to duke it out—"You must be Ash's friend. Come and see the match" Chuck offered. He was sitting on the side bench. Goh nodded and sat next to Chuck.

"Pokémon trainers please send your Pokémon" Rotom Refree came out and stood next to the field. It was on the left facing Chuck and Goh.

"Hopefully this is interesting" Raboot muttered.

"Go Hawlucha" Bea threw her pokéball and the fighting-flying type came out. Ash took his pokéball out and quickly threw it. "Go Farfetch'd" Ash said.

Farfecth'd faced Hawlucha. Farfetch'd held his leek close to his back. Farfetch'd taunted Hawlucha signalling him to come closer—"Come on" Farfetch's said with a smirk. "Pride comes before the fall. You outta know" Hawlucha countered unfaced as a small smirk crept on his beak

"Come on Farfecth'd I don't wanna have to deal with your left-overs" Riolu teased. "You can do it" Pikachu cheered.

"Hawlucha use Hone Claws then Karate Chop" Bea ordered. Hawlucha quickly honed his claws and jumped for a chop. "Step back and use Brutal Swing" Ash ordered. Farfetch'd gave a jump back. But Hawlucha adjusted his glide. "Seems like he didn't learn the lesson" Bea tought

Hawlucha glided to Farfetch'd but was met with a leek hit. "Use Night Slash". Ash ordered. "Use Flying Press" Bea countered. Farfetch'd grinned as he swinged the leek, Hawlucha flew up. "She's gonna use her aerial advantage" Ash tought.

Hawlucha flew trought the air as Farfetch'd waited the aerial attack. Farfetch'd was on tip toes, glaring at Hawlucha. The latter only smirked-"Hawlucha dive then use Karate Chop" Bea ordered as she used a few Galar karate moves to order the attack.

Hawlucha dived down to Farfetch'd at full speed he was about to hit Farfecth'd—"Seems like he didn't learn the lesson. Rookie play" Bea tought. She continued to stare at Ash in her usual stoic way. Ash gave a small smirk and a wink. "Lover bo-No that's a taunt" Bea tought. "Cancel the attack". Hawlucha stopped gliding to Farfecth'd but

"Use Rock Smash" Ash ordered. Farfetch'd took a rock from his back and hit Hawlucha's head.

"Use Brutal swing and Night Slash if he flys up do jump attacks" Ash quickly said. "Karate Chop" Bea ordered. Hawlucha dashed and chopped Farfetch'd's ribs. "Your gonna make a nice stew" Hawlucha taunted and flew up

Farfetch'd grabbed his ribs in pain. He stood his guard—"Your gonna regret that comment you bastard!!!" Farfetch'd shouted. "Thinks are gonna get messy" Pikachu stated. "He got his war flashback" Riolu muttered.

Chuck and Goh observed the battle, Goh himself was in shock and Chuck was silent—"I have never seen Ash's Farfetch'd so mad" Goh stated in shock, he then crouched more infront to get a better look at the battle."He sure did come in full on this one".

Goh turned his face to the right at Chuck—"What do you think?" Goh asked. Chuck didn't turn around

He held his arms crossed—"I think this battle is turning around in Ash's favour. He's not a rookie" Chuck assured as he kept his eyes on the battle. Poliwrath gave a small nod. "He sure has gotten strong, can't wait for his Ultra and Master battles".

Hawlucha was high up in the air surrounding the sky. Farfertch'd jumped. "Unexpected turn of events but anger is never key in a battle. Unless your a Green Marine" Bea tought. "Hawlucha keep up in the air and use Karate Chop".

Hawlucha swooped down as Farfetch'd jumped Hawlucha attacked but was stopped by Farfetch'd's leek. Farfecth'd quickly used Brutal Slash hitting him in the wings causing him to fall down. "Now the battle is in the ground. But just like my Hawlucha proved. They can be dangerous on the ground" Ash tought. "Maybe I should put him on my team. Maybe all of them".

Bea kept herself stoic and ordered another command—"Hawlucha drop the air attacks and engage in close combat" Bea ordered. "Now the fight is on the ground. I can still win this".

Ash turned to see the Pokémon and then analyzed Bea—"Not even a flinch. It's like dealing with Paul just that she's cute and has a much more pleasant attitude. Also she treats her Pokémon much better" Ash tought. "Farfetch'd get close and use Brutal Swing and then Rock Smash".

Hawluch winced in pain but reaffirmed his pose and stood tall. Farfetch'd glared and ran to Hawlucha—"Big mistake" Bea tought. "Wait for it".

"It's a trap" Ash tought. "Farfetch'd cancel the attack!!" Ash quickly ordered. Farfetch'd didn't stop running towards Hawlucha. Hawlucha smirked and charged his claws—"Pride cometh before the fall eh?" Hawlucha tought.

"Use Karate chop" Bea ordered. "Anger is never good in a fight". Farfetch'd jumped and was to hit Hawlucha. Hawlucha jumped and karate chopped Farfetch'd in the face making him roll back and fall.

"No" Ash tought. "Crap" Pikachu said as he closed his eyes. "Dang it now I have to clean his mess up" Riolu belted. "Really dude?" Pikachu asked dumbfounded. Riolu just shrugged.

"Go for another Karate Chop" Bea ordered. Hawlucha ran to Farfetch'd. "Farfetch'd use Brutal Swing" Ash ordered. Farfetch'd got up and looked at Ash he then turned to see Hawlucha.

Hawlucha dashed at Farfetch's but Farfetch'd stopped Hawlucha by using Brutal Swing hitting Hawlucha in the head and used Rock Smash on his head, again.

Hawlucha was laying on the ground with swirly eyes. "Never call me that again" Farfetch'd told. "You did well" Bea said as she returned Hawlucha. "Please send your next Pokémon" Rotom refree ordered.

"Farfetch'd return" Ash said as he returned Farfetch'd. "Your up Riolu" Ash stated as he nodded. "Finally" Riolu stated as he walked to the field.

Bea threw her Pokéball releasing Grapploct. Riolu glared at Grapploct.

Chuck looked at the battlefield with his arms crossed—"Grapploct, he's a hard opponent if your smaller and lighter then him...But my Poliwrath can counter it well enough, He's spared with tougher nuts" Chuck stated.

"Red's fighting types come to mind" Poliwrath said. "I'm sure Ash brought a secret weapon he didn't come with confidence for nothing" Goh stated. "Unlike you" Raboot muttered. "Why is he so mean?" Sobble tought.

"Came back for more" Grapploct taunted. "In a way. Differenc is that it's gonna be reversed" Riolu countered. "Grapploct get close and use Close Combat" Bea ordered. Grapploct used it's tentacles to move closer to Riolu. "Riolu use double team and barrage him with force palm" Ash ordered.

"Grapploct use Detect" Bea ordered as she used her Karate moves. "I better thread carefully. He already beated Hawlucha". Riolu jumped along with himself duplicating his body. The Riolu's started to jump on Grapploct punching him, Grapploct stopped many attacks but some ended up hitting Grapploct's body.

"Use Vacuum Wave" Ash ordered. "Your done for" Riolu taunted. "Don't get cocky" Grapploct warned. "Grapploct jump and use Liquidation" Bea ordered. Riolu spammed Vacuum Wave on Grapploct. Grapploct himself jumped and his tentacles turned blue and then hit some of the clones. The force of the Vacuum Wave pushed Grapploct to the side causing the left side of the Riolu clones to disperse."That reduces the odds of finding the real Riolu" Bea tought.

"Grapploct jump to the right" Bea ordered. Grapploct jumped despite the force of the waves causing the other Riolu clones to disperse and just left the real one. "Told you" Grapploct said. "Riolu use Vacuum wave then Force Palm" Ash ordered. "Grapploct use Octolock" Bea commanded.

"Here goes the finale, this has to work" Ash tought. "Use Force Palm". Riolu jumped to hit Grapploct but was caught and was locked by the tendrils.

Riolu struggled and was about to get strangled. "Hope you learn to keep your mouth shut" Grapploct said. "Use Vacuum Wave flare" Ash ordered. "How can he use it" Bea doubted until she saw Riolu smirk and relax. A blue aura surrounded him and then blew up liberating Riolu from Grapploct's grip.

Grapploct was now in the ground almost unconcious. "Use Force Palm" Ash ordered. "Grapploct dodge" Bea hoped but Riolu hit Grapploct in the face causing Grapploct to faint. "Ash is the winner" Rotom refree announced.

"I underestimated him. Seems like he isn't a rookie" Bea tought. Chuck clapped and then got up. —"Great performance" Chuck commented. "Let's eat some sweets to build up Stamina".

"Um I don't think that's a good idea" Goh said. "Bea isn't exactly peak charm". "Nonesense" Chuck assured. "It's acceptable" Bea commented in a more laxed manner.

Ash, Goh, Pikahu, Riolu, Sobble stood jaw opened. Scorbunny raised his eyebrow.—"Guess she isn't that much of a bitch" Scorbunny said. They all went outside to eat. Everyone started chowing down all the sweets. Ash stared at Bea as she pretty much mowed down five cakes in a single bite. This didn't go unoticed by the rest of the group.

Bea starred at Ash—"What?" Bea said. "Nothing" Ash countered. "Nice strategy to defeat Grapploct" Bea complimented. "Thanks" Ash replied. "But I'm still looking towards defeating Leon so don't get cocky" Bea stated. "I'm looking towards beating him too" Ash smirked. "Too bad only one can beat him". "May the best win" Bea said. "Ah just like your father no suprise there. Besides Children calm down I will beat Leon" Chuck said as he added a half-joke at the end

Ash laughed and Bea gave a small chuckle more akin to that noise you do with your nose when you see a funny image.

"I'm nineteen so I'm not exactly a 'child'." Bea countered. Goh looked at the trio talking of there previous battle experiences—"I'm so out of my league here. They all are strong trainers and I'm just a catcher. At this rate I'll never get–"

"You ok Goh?, you haven't eaten anything, better hurry or else I may just eat it all" Ash asked as he ended with a joke.

"I'm fine. Just thinking about my Pokémon" Goh told. "Great if you need anything just tell me" Ash stated. "Thanks" Goh replied. "Atleast he didn't change much, tough something tells me from her on the whole 'Game' gets to get less fun" Goh tought. He smiled again and ate some pastries.

A/N: Sorry for the short chapter I just wasn't feeling it for this fanfic. Hopefully I didn't miss any Grammar problem. Well a greater divergence for Ash will start as this was basially just episode 39 of Journey's. Also I made Kalos and Galar have a heavier rivarly as well there's no Russian Empire nor a German Empire to cause them to band together.

As for Ash wanting to kiss Dawn. Well I tried adding him with more of the puberty problems, I will tone it down. Also Ash and Dawn had one of best friendships and overall if characters in the anime aged I could have seen them dating. But Amourshipping is what I wanted for this fanfiction so oh well
