Ready for some more angsty crap?
Fr tho tell me why I already got this entire series planned out tho lmao. I got the ending and everything.
And, not wanting to spoil too much, but when I get done with this I'll make a new series of one-shots called um Recovery? Basically, it's just everything that happens after ollie finally escapes from the crazy bitch.
I dunno why I'm so serious about this like damn.
I'm 14 and obsessing over-
Y'know what I'm not going to think about my life again, hope you enjoy it.
That night, nobody slept.
June took her spot at the kitchen table, her head in her arms and her eyes burning with exhaustion, begging for her to close them. Her head felt disoriented as if this wasn't real. Maybe, this was all just a huge nightmare. And...and when she woke up, Ollie would be in his room, oversleeping or playing video games. He would be playing with his friends, bugging his sister, or maybe even playing with his strange-looking cat.
The more she thought about it...the more it failed to comfort her.
She knew, bottom line, that no matter how hard she wanted to believe those things, it still wasn't true. It wasn't true, and as far as she knew, it never will. Those thoughts only made her sadder. She didn't even think that was possible in this situation.
But she wouldn't cry.
Somebody had to stay strong and keep themselves together. And, as a mother, June took full responsibility for that part. Pyper, as hard as she was trying to keep her tough-as-nails image, was scared. It was natural, wasn't it? She was only 11...if she saw June worry about this, then it would only add to her stress. So she wouldn't. She couldn't. Even if things weren't so positive at the moment, she at least had to give her daughter hope that things would turn out okay. They would find him soon, she knew it.
She waited.
And waited.
And waited some more.
Three hours had now passed since they left. Three entire hours, and she didn't get an entire word back from those so-called officers. She knew that Chad didn't promise to bring him back at a specific time. She knew that the dark sky would only make it harder to do so- Ollie wasn't particularly wearing the brightest clothes- and that it would take time. Early in the morning would be their best shot of getting him back...that is, if he had stayed put at wherever the hell he was. But at the very least, they could've told her something. They could've sent her updates on how the search was going, or if they had found any footprints or strands of his hair.
Pyper was probably awake as well, she realized. With all of her talk about wanting to help out, June had to keep a very watchful eye on her. She was sneaky, incredibly sneaky, and she could leave this house at any moment without a single soul knowing. The girl was going to rebel on her actions sooner or later since she wasn't too fond of people babying her. But at the moment? June didn't care. Let her get upset, let her rebel, let her whine. She wasn't going to let this girl out of her sight, no matter what.
She already has one child missing, and she didn't need two.
