A/N: Sorry for not updating in forever! '12 Days of Surrera' has taken over my writing so this has been pushed to the backburner. But I hope you enjoy this chapter and yes, it's the last one because I don't know where else to go with it. This was originally only going to be three or four chapters (with a completely different ending) but all your lovely reviews kept me going and I am ever so grateful but I think it's time to say goodbye to this little family of three.

It was no ordinary day, no, it was Valentina's fifth birthday. A huge milestone for her and her parents.

Over the five years, they had a lot to celebrate; Robert and Andy got married, with Valentina as the flower girl, they grew their family by one after adopting a stray kitten that walked into the station one evening and now Valentina was turning five and preparing to go to school. She had already been at pre-school for a couple of years but this was a major step for her and her parents.

Though today was all about her.

Robert had awoken early so that he could get started on the mammoth task of making waffles, French toast and, of course, his famous smoothies that Valle had fallen in love with over the years. Since her first birthday, Robert had always made a big breakfast for her to get the day started right; Andy had always chastised him for making too much food for the three of them but Robert always said the same statement, "We can take the leftovers to work, the team will eat it for us", in response. He knew she was right but that never stopped him from going overboard.

"I hope you're not feeding a family of fifteen today." Andy said as she walked down the stairs, waking from the smell coming from the kitchen.

"Always." Robert smiled as he poured her a mug of coffee, just like he did every morning.

"I can't believe she's five." Andy spoke after feeling the black liquid run through her body.

"Me either. Our baby is growing up." Robert replied as he placed the latest batch of waffles onto the plate.

"Speak of the devil" Andy quipped as she heard footsteps coming down the stairs, "Morning m'hija. Happy birthday." She continued, pulling her daughter onto her lap and brushing her loose hair off her face.

"Here you go, sweetheart." Robert spoke handing Valentina a pink smoothie, her favourite one that Robert made.

Despite being half-asleep, Valentina quickly began drinking the smoothie and started eyeing up the food that Robert had been cooking all morning.

"You want some?" Robert asked, noticing how nosey she became.

Valentina nodded. Andy pulled the chair next to her out from under the table so that Valle could sit there to eat her breakfast. Robert had filled a plate with waffles, cut up into small pieces for Valentina to eat, and placed some fruit on the side to make the dish a little healthier before placing it in front of her so she could eat. He then did the same for Andy, though instead of waffles, she had French toast.

Robert couldn't help but stare at the sight of his two girls in front of him. Six years ago, he never imagined that after losing his best friend, he would now be a married man with a daughter and a cat. He had resigned himself to a life of being alone, yet here he was a family man and nothing could beat the feeling that he currently felt.

They were going to be a family of four for the rest of time.
