I am so confused. When AJ entered the training room and saw the guns she just, broke down. When I tried to go help Tobias told me that he had an idea. Why is Tobias so interested in this girl? And then, after he talks to her she just gets up and hits bullseye, EVERY. TIME.
On our way to lunch I pull Tobias aside to talk to him.
" What was that about?" I ask him.
" I know about AJ's past," he tells me.
" What about it?"
" Everything. When she was six, her parents were killed by factionless who got a hold of dauntless guns. She was adopted by Marcus and was beat even worse than me. Her real name is Amara. Her mom was pregnant with her unborn sister when she died. She also had a 4 year old sister who was killed along with her parents."
Wow. And I was jealous that she was trying to get Tobias. She was just scared.
" I invited her to our apartment . I hope that is okay with you."
" Yeah. That's fine. I can't wait to know AJ better. Don't worry, I think me and your adopted sister will get along great."
As we head back to the pit, all I can think about is the six year old girl whose family had died, that my parents had volunteered to adopt.
