Author's Note: Now Boruto goes on a mission with his Half-Brothers and their team! Hopefully it'll go well...

Also an introduction to the other kids!

We'll be spending a little time with each of them, and I will be putting the new kid's names in bold when introduced which will hopefully be helpful to you guys!

I was thinking about focusing on the other kids, but that turned out to be a very long chapter, so I decided if you guys want to know about the other kids I will post the bonus chapter that has all of the content I made for the other next generation :3

The next morning Boruto found his eyes opening as he stared up at the ceiling.

He was always a moderately early riser, moreso compared to his old man as he sat up and looked around.

He was still in the Uzumaki-Haruno household, it being so different from the house he had grown up in as he got off the comfy couch, hearing the boiling of water and the gentle clatter of dishes.

He waded over to the kitchen doorway and found Shinachiku up and about, wearing a white apron that looked like it belonged to someone taller than the 14 year old boy, faded stains worn on it as the older blond looked over to the younger one, there being a silence as it was only the two of them.

Shinachiku eventually looked away a little and broke the silence, " Morning Boruto."

" Mornin'... Where's everyone?" Boruto asked drowsily, pulling himself onto the counter chair.

Shinachiku turned from him to put the lid on the pot, " Still asleep. They'll be up by the time all of this is done."

" Whadda we havin'?" The blue-eyed boy asked as he ran his hand through his hair, trying to shake out the sleepiness.

" Stewed Venison."

" Where the hell did you get something like that?" Boruto asked, bewildered.

" Sometimes I just want my family to try new things.

Mom's open for it, but Dad's a little more... Stubborn."

" Only when it comes to food, right?"
" Yeah, I have to mix vegetables into other things so he can't refuse it completely." Shinachiku chuckled, " Mom makes sure he doesn't get away with picking it out, he needs to eat healthy after a whole childhood of cup noodles."

Boruto nodded silently as he thought back to his mother leaving out vegetables and merely making sure that he ate fruits to substitute.

" Mhmm..." He pushed it aside and looked to the older boy, " So what's the mission?"

" Well us and Team Konohamaru are going to a nearby village. Some troublemakers have been kicking up a fuss for the farmers there and they asked for someone to catch them because they have no shinobi in the area."

Boruto sighed. Of course there would be boring missions in this world as well.

At least he could find out more about others...

" Oi... I remember when I met you guys... Your Sensei is Moegi?"

" Mhmm, why?" The older blond asked as he turned off the pot and started serving up into bowls.

" 'Cause Konohamaru-Sensei is mine in my world."

" Oh, you have one of the Ino-Shika-Cho combo in your team?"

" Uh, no, we have a guy named Mitsuki, he's... Not... What do you mean one? Aren't they all supposed to be on the same team?"

Shinachiku paused in a little surprise before explaining, " Well half of the Ino-Shika-Cho from the older generation merged, so it wasn't as if it could ever be the same Ino-Shika-Cho combo. And Sarutobi's always teach them."

He then set the bowl of Stewed Deer Meat down, the blue-eyed boy looking a little conflicted, " Don't worry, you'll meet them soon."

It was then Sakura came in a robe, smiling to the boys as she started up some coffee, " Morning."

" Morning Mom-"

" Morning Auntie Sakura." The boys answered as Shinachiku finished pouring the breakfast, Hanami, Arashi and later Naruto arriving to eat, the boys getting fully dressed and ready afterwards and leaving to meet with the teams, Shinachiku waving goodbye to his family when they stepped out the front door, launching off.

They landed to the gates of Konoha, the two teams waiting for them.

Shinachiku looked to Boruto, " Let me properly introduce the others to you. Do you wanna know whose parents are whose just in case?"

Boruto hesitantly nodded and Shinachiku motioned everyone closer as everyone's eyes were on him.

It was then he noticed him.

Shikadai!

Boruto took a step forward before pausing, biting his lip.

He looked much older than the Shikadai Boruto knew from his time, but there was no mistaking those pretty green eyes Shikadai had gotten from his mother and the rest of the features he got from his father.

" You recognize him?" Shinachiku asked.

" Uh... Yeah, he looks like Shikadai, Temari and Shikamaru's son in my world."

" Well, That's me." Shikadai nodded, the Uzumaki child not knowing how to feel about this being the only couple to make it through the switcheroo, turning his attention to the others.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-

There was Nori, whom was standing beside Sensei Moegi, whom was watching Boruto with interest.

He already knew about those two, looking to the Aburame kid on the other side of Moegi.

He looked almost like every other Aburame Boruto had seen, the only thing differing was the shape of his face being rounder, but the rest was either like Shino or covered from sight.

" This is the my other teammate, he's Shouta Aburame, destined to be 16th head of the Aburame after his father Shino, his mother's a Mist Ninja."

Shouta gave him a nod of recognition as Boruto gave a nod back, looking to the next team and over Shikadai.

The next was a girl, her short burnt-orange hair to her jaw, clipped back with blue butterflies as she had jewel blue eyes and was on the chubby side, making her look very sturdy.

" This is Chou Akimichi! First child of Chouji and Ino Akimichi-Yamanaka, her and Shikadai are the Shika-Cho of Ino-Shika-Cho, the other is her little brother Inoichi."

Chou beamed to him, giving him a wink, " Heya!"

Shinachiku walked past them then and took a girl by the shoulders and pushed her a little forward as she crumpled on herself a little, " And this... Is Kiba's daughter, Kiyoko Inuzuka, with her dog Shiromaru!"

Kiyoko looked to him shyly, her face burning bright red, though it looked more from social anxiety than anything else with the way she hugged her dog.

She certainly had everything visually of the Inuzuka, her hair dark brown and wild even when they were wrestled into two low pigtails, the red tattoo fangs striking against her dark tan skin, slit-pupil eyes teary at the edges as Shiromaru was a stark white with the exception of his brown paws.

" Sorry about her, she's not used to strangers." Shinachiku apologized before letting her go as she raced over to Chou and hid behind her.

" But that's not a bad thing!" Chou asserted as she turned around and hugged around her friend's shoulders, " She's just a little shy!"

" Alright you guys, time to stop gawking at the new kid!" Konohamaru asserted as he moved forward to join the rest of them, offering his hand to Boruto, " Nice to meet you kid! I'm Konohamaru Sarutobi! I heard about you from Moegi."

Boruto stared at it before looking to the others, hesitantly reaching over and shaking his hand, " Uh... Nice to meet you Konohamaru-Sensei..."

The older man noticed his awkwardness and merely shrugged, looking to the others, " Come on you guys, let's all head out, the village is three hours away and we want to be there by late afternoon at least!"

The others gave a nod and Boruto took off after Shinachiku and his team, whom went first, sparing a few glances the whole time back to the other group, more to Shikadai and Konohamaru, a reminder of where he truly belonged.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-

The little village was mostly comprised of fields and it was to that end Boruto realized why two teams were going to be called upon, as the shinobi should be within walkie-talkie distance of each other if not shouting distance, and they would need every one of them from the team to be stationed where they should be to alert the others.

The odd one out would be him so he could go to whatever person he wanted to talk to if he so desired that night.

Though he was pretty sure he wouldn't be sticking around the others too long.

" Oi."

Boruto was sitting away from the circular group before he found something set on his head, reaching up and his hands touched a box that was covered in cloth.

" Wha-?"

" Aunt Hinata made Bento for all of us, as she usually does." Shinachiku chimed, " So we thought you might want to pick one- you know, all things considering."

Boruto looked over his shoulder to the rest of the group.

Kiyoko, Nori and Shinachiku had a box that had the Uchiha crest on it.

Chou was eating a double-sized bento box with a Hydrangea tied to the top of it, likely something her parents had done for her.

Shouta was sharing with Shikadai from an Aburame-crested box as the two of them chatted to the side.

Placing the box in his lap, he untied it and opened it up, " What's in them?"

" Depends on which one you want. Like..." Shinachiku opened up the top with his, " I apparently have the Curry of Life that Lee-San taught her to make. This is seriously not for the faint of heart, one bite and you're on fire."

" I heard Uncle Neji nearly died eating that stuff." Nori chuckled before popping the top off his own, " I have Deep Fried Hot Spring Eggs with some Green Beans and rice. I may just have to call this one."

Kiyoko opened up her bento, looking through it before sniffing the air over it, " Spicy Hamburger Bento with rice and potatoes."

Boruto perked up hearing 'Hamburger', " I want that one!"

" A-Ah, okay..." Kiyoko gave it to Nori to pass it over to Boruto, whom passed his over to her as she opened it up to see a Natto and Okra Cheese-Smothered Rice Bento.

" I think I'll take that one." Shinachiku reached over and took it from her, handing her the Curry of Life as Boruto was disappointed to see it wasn't actually hamburger, but rather a hamburg steak, but he would have to deal with it for this meal.

He paused after taking a bite, looking over to the Inuzuka.

" Uh... Guys don't you think her senses are a little too... Much for the Curry of Life?"

The Inuzuka looked over to him in surprise before blushing and looking to the side.

" Don't worry about it. Why? Because I am here." Shouta answered as he pulled out his half of the bento box in his possession and had his kikaichu carry it across the way over to her as a furiously blushing Kiyoko gave Shiromaru her bento, whom ran it to Shouta, " I have no problems with spicy things."

" It's nice of you to notice though Boruto." Chou grinned to him as the blond pouted a little at the teasing, shrugging before digging in.

He had to stop himself from tearing up at the familiar flavors, blinking them rapidly away.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-

" So you want to take shifts with any one of us in particular?" Shikadai asked as everyone was finishing up their dinners

Boruto glanced to him before away.

' I don't know if I can take spending one-on-one time with you Shikadai... Especially when you remind me so much of one of my best friends...'

" I'll think about it. Uh... I'll just wander I guess." He offered weakly.

" Alright you guys, time to set up then," Konohamaru ordered as he stood, " Moegi and I will be constantly patrolling for all of you so no need to think you are alone, alright?"

There was silent nods as everyone started splitting up.

Boruto looked around as everyone started splitting before walking after Shinachiku.

" I'm surprised you picked me first. I kind of thought you wouldn't pick me at all." The older blond admitted as he looked to the younger counterpart.

" Yeah... I just wanted to talk to you about something." Boruto asked.

" Shoot." The older Uzumaki offered as he started setting up his bag in his spot by the field, kneeling down to look through it.

" Well... A few things. How do you even feel about me being here?"

Shinachiku stared up to him.

" Boruto... Think about my position. If you were me, how would you feel about a child appearing that claimed to be the son of your dad and a woman you consider your aunt, coming from a world where things are- for better or worse- certainly different?"

" I wouldn't... feel great about you." Boruto admitted grudgingly.

" Well I don't feel great about you honestly. But it's not as if you wanted to come here. It was an accident. And I'm trying to be sympathetic to your plight, because you seem homesick, but are trying to distance yourself from thinking of home because it hurts you.

At least that's what I'm gathering from your interaction with Shikadai."

" That's another thing... I don't want to really spend time with a person that reminds me of a home I'm not sure I can get back to."

The green-eyed boy looked up from his bag to the hesitant blue-eyed one, standing up straight and brushing off his pants, " That's fine. You don't owe Shikadai anything, so just don't go and see him. You don't owe anyone anything here."

Boruto shoved his hands in his pockets and looked to the ground.

Shinachiku wasn't wrong about any of that...

" But... I think I want to see the others. I... It's strange..."

" That's probably something that I would do myself. See the friends you have in comparison to mine... But... Try to appreciate them in a different way from your friends, alright? They're different people after all.

And if you want to skip Shikadai, he should be in between Kiyoko and Shouta. I suggest you start with Chou, she's more boisterous than Shouta or Kiyoko, and end with Nori, seeing as you're going home with him and not me."

The blond nodded before pausing, watching his counterpart before hesitantly joining him, going to spend a little bit more time with the blond to try and reign in both his curiosity and figure out what questions he might want to ask them, spending time in slightly contented silence with the other version of himself.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-(Insert Bonus Chapter Content of meeting the other Next Gen)-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-

Boruto walked away from his Interaction with Kiyoko, feeling a bit sorry for the girl- whom had basically spent the entire time around him floundering as a big ball of anxiety, well, until they both opened up about what they cared about together and poured out more of the feelings that he wasn't sure he should be sharing with people here.

He sighed and ran a hand through his hair before calling out ahead, having learned his lesson with Chou, " Oi, Nori, I'm here!"

There was a silence as he paused, looking and seeing the Uchiha boy lounging by the field in the quiet of the night, still as a scarecrow.

Boruto glanced at him before around and then approaching, " Uh, Hey..."

The blue-haired boy looked back with eyes bright red with two-tome sharingan, " Boruto."

" Uh?!" Boruto jolted a little before shifting, " Am I interrupting something?"
" No, it just scares those approaching easier." He closed his eyes and deactivated it, looking back to the blond with pitch black eyes, " Shinachiku told me to probably make a joke to make you feel better. I... didn't really know what to do."

Boruto couldn't help but get the sense that Nori lacked much humor.

There was a small pause before Boruto hesitantly made his way closer to the Uchiha half-brother, sitting beside him at a small distance.

" Where did you get the Sharingan anyways? It's said that you can't get them without a strong powerful emotion, sooooo...?"

Nori looked to him skeptically from the edge of his eyes, " Why would I need to tell you why I got them anyways?"

" So I can compare. 'Cause Sarada gained them supposedly when her dad pointed a sword at her and threatened to kill her."

Nori balked a little bit, looking to the Uzumaki with wide, disbelieving eyes.

" What?"

" Yeah, it upset her a little bit to be sure, but she's alright, he didn't know it was her."

" The more you talk about Otou-San from another world the less I want to hear." Nori answered blandly, " And I'm sure you don't want to hear me talk how much better I am treated than her, so I think you should stop digging for something you know you are going to find. It's not like I think Sarada-San would want to hear that anyways. I know I wouldn't if I was in her position."

Boruto clammed up.

Why was he continually asking questions to things he was sure nobody from his world would want to hear?

He was pretty sure he knew the answer.

" Morbid Curiosity I guess."

Nori looked to him blandly before sighing, " I suppose I get it from that standpoint. I just hope you can keep a secret from the others then."

Boruto could picture Sarada hearing about her alternate self and recoiling, the hurt that would splay across her face as she realizes that in another world her father is a loving and attentive man to not just one but seven children, turning to look at the fields, " Yeah, I hope I can too."

There was a silence before there was the sound of something whizzing in the air and Boruto looked back as Nori deflected a shuriken with one of his own, Sharingan activated as both him and Boruto stood.

" Well look what we got here boys, what luck we have! They really sent the Hokage's son and a pair of Sharingan eyes out here to take out some 'little troublemakers'. How the mighty have fallen." Sneered a man in the dark a night breeze brushed the trees, the moonbeams dancing around revealing three shady figures in the dark.

'Fuck.'
