Chapter 10 When Extremes meet
It's been a couple days since Hiroshi had been made a public enemy and since more of Sean's past was revealed. However Lin had handed in her resignation in order to find the officers that were captured outside of the law. This gave Tarrlok a unique opportunity to gain more power which Sean saw and did not like.
Currently right now Sean, Korra and the kids were waiting for the others to arrive at Air temple island.
"There they are." Sean said seeing them arrive.
"Welcome to air temple island. Your new home." Ikki said.
"Yes, welcome to my domain." Meelo said proudly making Sean and Korra laugh.
"Your domain? Oh don't make me laugh." Sean said.
"Well aren't you sweet, little monk child." Bolin said before Pabu ran down between Meelo's legs before running to Naga.
"Whats that fuzzy creature?" Meelo asked.
"That is a fire ferret. An arboreal mammal common to the bamboo forests of the central Earth Kingdom." Jinora said.
"You really are a book worm." Sean said making her grin.
"HE'S CUTE!" Ikki yelled running to them along with Meelo while Jinora sighed.
Pabu hissed in annoyance before running away from her while Meelo landed on Naga's head pulling her ears.
"Yip-Yip. Fly sky-Bison! Fly!" Meelo said making the older people laugh.
"Thanks for sending the air acolytes to help us with the move." Mako said.
"Yes, they've been amazing. Such tireless workers." Asami said as they came carrying multiple bags in one go.
"Is most of that Asami's or Bolin's?" Sean joked making them laugh before walking up the stairs.
"It's no problem. Everyone here wants you guys to feel welcome." Korra said as they made it through the gates.
Suddenly Asami spotted Spyro and gasped in surprise.
"Oh thats Spyro." Sean said before Meelo rushed to him.
"Yes, this is our ugly dragon." Meelo said making Spyro open his eyes before glaring at him.
"Who are you calling ugly bald brat?" Spyro asked shocking most minus Sean and Korra.
"Oh yeah I forgot he does talk." Sean said chuckling. (For those who've seen Dragonheart 1996 picture Draco's voice)
"Scared the crap out of me the first time I heard him." Korra said.
"More so than your first flight?" Sean teased.
Flashback 13 years ago
Korra screamed as Sean flew Spyro through the South Pole for the first time.
"Like the ride so far?" Sean teased as she held on tight before flying over the water.
"I wanna get down!" Korra yelled.
"Oh have some fun. Hey Spyro? DIVE!" Sean yelled making him dive down to the water.
"AHHHH!" Korra screamed closing her eyes before he went up making her open her eyes.
"HAHAHAHA! Oh like I'm gonna dive into freezing cold water." Sean said making her pout before they flew more steady calming her down.
End Flashback
Everyone laughed as Korra blushed.
"I hate you so much." Korra said making him laugh.
"Whatever." Sean said.
"At least I'm not afraid of some women." Korra teased.
"If I was afraid of women would I be this close to you?" Sean asked with his face near inches from her grinning.
"But you said Aphrodite..." Korra tried to say.
"I said she tried to force her female lovers on me as I slept without my consent. I woke up in the middle of the night to see one stripping me to have her way with me. I had already been horrified enough I wasn't gonna be some plaything. Besides when I do want that it'll be with someone I actually have romantic feelings with and not some one night stand." Sean said walking away making her blink before grinning.
Sean took the boys to their rooms while Ikki and Korra led Asami to hers.
"Asami, did you know Korra likes Sean?" Ikki asked making Korra freeze before looking really annoyed.
"Huh, No, I wasn't aware of that." Asami said before Korra dragged her into her room before slamming the doors.
"HEY!" Ikki yelled.
"Run along, Ikki!" Korra said making her growl. "Sorry about that." Korra said.
"So is it true?" Asami asked.
"Is what true?" Korra asked.
"Do you have feelings for him?" Asami asked grinning making her sigh in annoyance cursing Ikki before a smile appeared on her face.
"Yeah. I've felt this way about him since I was 13. He's always trained me, Protected me. Made me smile and cheered me up when I was feeling down. And he's always looked after me. It's hard not to fall for someone like that even if he's just here to protect you." Korra said blushing a little.
"So why aren't you two dating?" Asami asked making her sigh.
"It's complicated. I know he's hiding what happened in the temple from me which we all know is what made him abandon Ares. Whatever happened tore him up." Korra said before someone knocked on the door.
"Ikki, I swear if you don't leave us alone..." Korra tried to say before Tenzin walked in making her freeze. "Uh, Tenzin. Come right in." Korra said.
"Good day, ladies. Asami, welcome to the island." Tenzin said as Sean walked in.
"Thank you for having me." Asami said bowing.
"Did you two need something?" Korra asked.
"Lin's replacement, Saikhan is going to be inducted as the new chief of police later. I think we should all be there." Tenzin said.
Later
"It was an honor serving under Chief Beifong for so many years, and I wish her a speedy recovery. It is with great humility that I take her place as the new chief of police." Saikhan said.
"I don't like this guy." Sean said to Korra.
"Why?" Korra asked.
"He seems like a suck up to me. The worst kind of officer you can find." Sean said.
"Republic City is facing a threat like none the world has ever seen. But there is one man who has been effective against Amon's revolution...Councilman Tarrlok." Saikhan said.
"See exactly what I mean?" Sean asked making her nod.
"That is why for all matters involving the Equalists, I will report directly to him. The Police department will lend any and all available resources to the councilman and his task force until we quell this insurgency." Saikhan said.
"Fucking moron is just giving non-benders more reason to join Amon when he calls them that." Sean said.
Soon enough the press left.
"Tarrlok, I don't know what you did to get Chief Saikhan in your pocket but I highly doubt it was legal." Tenzin accused making him chuckle.
"Tenzin, always the conspiracy theorist. Did you ever consider Saikhan simply recognizes my talents and wants what is best for this city?" Tarrlok questioned before Korra stepped forward. "Well, Avatar Korra, long time, no see. Now that your little pro-bending distractions are over, I look forward to you joining my task force." Tarrlok said.
"Yeah right." Sean said.
"Forget it. I said no the first time and I'm saying no now." Korra said making him frown.
"That is unfortunate. But I'm sure you'll come to your senses as you have in the past." Tarrlok said.
"Don't hold your. breath, bub. You know, Tenzin's been right about you all along. You played me, you played Beifong and now your playing the new chief of police. Well I got news for you. You need me, but I don't need you. I'm the Avatar." Korra said making him scoff.
"Your not in fact, the Avatar." Tarrlok said shocking her. "You are merely a half-baked Avatar-in-training. Which reminds me, how is your airbending going? Made any significant progress with that?" Tarrlok mocked making her look down. "I didn't think..." Sean punched him the face sending him flying into a wall out cold.
"Asshole." Sean said holding Korra close. "Lets go." Sean said as they walked away.
The two were back on Spyro flying back While Tenzin stayed behind.
"I don't understand whats wrong with me. I've memorized nearly all the practice forms, but I still can't produce a single measly puff of air. I'm a failure." Korra said.
"Don't listen to that bullshit Tarrlok said. Listen your not the first avatar to have these problems." Sean said surprising her.
"I'm not?" Korra asked.
"No. There have been dozens in the past that have had this exact same problem with certain elements. Listen when I was training with the gods I also took advise from the other gods on Olympus when it came to the training I was going through. You have a connection to your past lives to use for guidance." Sean said.
"You know I can't connect to my past lives right now." Korra said.
"Are you so sure?" Sean asked confusing her. "You may have made a connection without realizing it." Sean said.
"Well...There was one time when you saved me from Amon. I saw some flashes but I hardly remember them." Korra said remembering that day.
"Did you see any of the past Avatar's?" Sean asked.
"I saw Aang. He looked like he was in trouble. What do you think it means?" Korra asked.
"I think Aang is trying to warn you about something we can't see. My advice? Learn to meditate when you have nothing else to lose." Sean said before they landed. "Korra, I still believe what I said 13 years ago during that storm. You'll do great things no Avatar has done since the first." Sean said making her smile feeling better.
No matter what he always knew what to say to make her feel better. It just drew her closer to him.
Later
Sean and Korra sat down by a cliff enjoying the peace and quiet. Korra was mostly just enjoying the time she was spending with her protector.
"KORRA!" Bolin yelled making them sigh.
"So much for the peace and quiet." Sean said before they stood up as the others arrived.
"You two ok?" Moka asked.
"Yeah we're ok." Korra said holding Sean's hand.
"Well, Julia had an idea. I think it's time we took the fight to the Equalists for a change." Reznov said.
"And just how the hell are we supposed to do that? Every time we go after Amon he's one step ahead of us." Sean said.
"Right now since Chief Saikhan is in charge the more bold and fresh members might be willing to try anything to hurt the Benders of Republic city." Reznov said.
"He's not wrong." Julia said.
"Ok. Say we decide to take the fight to the equalists then what? Tarrlok is gonna take all the credit to boost his reputation." Sean said.
"Who cares? As long as we hurt the Equalists we hurt Amon in a way. And thats victory enough for me." Reznov said making him sigh before grinning.
"Well, what do you think?" Sean asked Korra.
"I think it's worth a shot at least." Korra said grinning before Naga approached them.
"Naga, away!" Bolin yelled as he, Mako. Korra and Asami jumped on her.
"I don't think." Sean tried to say before she threw them off. "Thats gonna work." Sean said.
"All right, Scratch that. Any other ideas?" Korra asked.
"Real smooth." Sean said chuckling before she punched him in the shoulder making him laugh harder.
"Hmm, I think I have the answer." Asami said.
Arriving back at the docks the group saw a garage open up before a car was seen before Asami drove out.
"You think this will do?" Asami asked making them grin.
"But theres only enough room for four." Korra said.
"We can jump and fly along the way." Sean said.
"Next time go for a bigger car." Korra whispered to Asami making her giggle.
"I'll keep that in mind." Asami said as she drove the car while Julia flew with her wings while Sean and Reznov used their elements to fly in the air.
While they were driving they were listening to a police radio.
"My dad had police scanners installed in all his cars. I guess now I know why." Asami said before a report of Equalists breaking out captured Non-benders.
Thats when they drove right past them and nearly ran over pedestrians.
"Son of a." Sean said before he and Reznov flew right over them.
"Fire-lightning combo?" Reznov asked making him grin as Fire engulfed Sean's hand while Lightning engulfed Reznov's before they blasted the vehcials making them explode before crashing in the road without injuring anyone.
"Wow. Those two make a good team." Asami said impressed before the two jumped down.
Thankfully none of them were killed but greatly injured.
"Come out little maggot." Reznov said dragging one out before Tarrlok's task force arrived.
"Avatar Korra, What do you think you're doing?" Tarrlok asked not amused.
"Oh, hey, Tarrlok. Nice of you to show up finally. Here, we captured the escaped convicts for you." Korra said.
"What you did was tear up the city and impede the real authorities in their pursuit of these criminals." Tarrlok said.
"And just where were they when we caught them?" Sean asked.
"If it wasn't for Team Avatar they would have escaped." Korra said.
"Team Avatar?" Reznov asked amused.
"Catchy." Sean said making Korra grin.
"This is your last warning." Tarrlok said before Sean got in his face.
"OR WHAT?" Sean asked in a demonic voice that sent chills down his spine.
"Whoa. Easy Sean calm down." Korra said pulling him back.
"Stay out of my way." Tarrlok said leaving.
"Oh sure...Likes thats gonna happen." Sean said making Korra grin.
Next morning
Tenzin and the others were at city hall listening to Tarrlok's new proposal.
"Republic City stands as a beacon of freedom, but the equalists are using that freedom to tear it down. The Law I have proposed would make it illegal for anyone to be a member of the Equalists or even be associated with them It also puts into effect a curfew, ensuring all non-benders are in their own homes by nightfall." Tarrlok said.
"This is going too far, Tarrlok. You can't punish all non-benders for the actions of a few." Tenzin said.
"That kind of cowardice will cause our city to fall into Amon's hands. We must pass this law. All in favor?" Tarrlok asked getting all but Tenzin to agree making him grin.
Later
The group was outside a bar.
"BAH!" Reznov yelled spitting out his drink. "What is this crap? Asgardian booze tastes way better." Reznov said throwing it away making Sean and Julia laugh.
"What is Asgard like?" Asami asked.
"Ever heard of a literal golden palace? Theres where the term comes from." Sean said chuckling remembering his first time in Asgard.
Suddenly the Radio turned on about an Equalist rally.
"Time to get to work." Sean said before opening the back door for Korra. "After you." Sean said making her giggle.
"What a gentleman." Korra said getting in with Mako before Sean used his fire to fly before Reznov did the same with lightning while Julia had her wings to fly before they went to the destination.
"What the?" Julia said seeing the whole place was dark.
"Why is the power out?" Korra asked before they parked as the others landed.
Walking forward they saw a group of angry protestors.
"Wait a second, these people aren't armed or dangerous." Asami said.
"No kidding." Sean said before seeing Tarrlok talking to one of his task members.
"Tarrlok." Korra said gaining his attention. "You need to turn the power on and leave these people alone." Korra said.
"Avatar Korra, you and your playmates have no business here." Tarrlok said.
"We ain't going nowhere." Sean said.
"You don't have the right to treat these innocent people like criminals." Korra said.
"This is an equalist rally. Theres nothing innocent about it." Tarrlok said.
"They're not equalists. They're just normal people who want their rights back." Asami said.
"They are the enemy. Round up all these equalists." Tarrlok said getting his task force to start rounding them up only for two of them to get chains wrapped around them.
"NO YOU DON'T!" Sean yelled slamming them into one another making Tarrlok growl before waterbending Asami.
"Let go!" Asami yelled.
"Your under Arrest." Tarrlok said.
"For what? She didn't do anything." Julia said.
"She's a non bender past curfew and her father is a known equalist." Tarrlok said.
"But she turned on him since she didn't share the same beliefs." Reznov said.
"Arrest them and the brothers." Tarrlok said.
"ENOUGH!" Sean roared stopping them. "What do you want?" Sean asked making him smirk
"Well...I would be willing to let these people and your friends go...If you surrendered yourself." Tarrlok said making him glare.
"Fine." Sean said shocking them.
"But Sean." Korra tried to say.
"It's all right. It's for the right reasons." Sean said.
"Let them go." Tarrlok ordered as his men let the Non Benders go and watched as Sean was cuffed before being escorted into a police van.
"Your gonna pay for this." Korra said glaring at Tarrlok who smirked before leaving with his forces with Sean in tow.
Later
Tenzin walked into the Police station as Korra tried to get some answers but no one would listen.
"UGH!" Korra yelled.
"I came as fast as I could. Is Sean all right?" Tenzin asked.
"I don't know. These boneheads won't listen." Korra said frustrated.
"I'll take care of this." Tenzin said as Saikhan appeared before he tried to leave seeing them.
"Saikhan, A word please." Tenzin said.
"Councilman Tenzin, I'm pretty swamped at the moment. Can this wait?" Saikhan asked.
"No, it cannot. Sean was wrongly arrested tonight. I'd like you to release him immediately." Tenzin said.
"Thats not gonna happen." Saikhan said.
"And why not?" Korra asked.
"Cause he'll be publicly executed tomorrow night." Saikhan said shocking them.
"WHAT! He can't do that! Can he?" Korra asked.
"No he cannot. Not without a trail or court discussion." Tenzin said.
"The Councilman has made his decision. You'll have to take it up with him." Saikhan said before Korra grabbed him.
"YOU'RE OFFICIALLY THE WORST CHIEF OF POLICE! EVER!" Korra roared before Tenzin pulled her back. (Which he is. I honestly hope his bending was never given back since he was the worst)
After that stunt Korra was back in her room tossing and turning thinking of what might happen to Sean tomorrow before she growled and opened her window before rushing out.
Tarrlok was going over some papers when his window opened up blowing them away before seeing Korra.
"We need to talk." Korra said
"I've been expecting you." Tarrlok said grinning.
"Don't you understand? Your doing exactly what Amon says is wrong with Benders. Your proving his point." Korra said.
"Oh stop. This isn't about Amon. This is about your protector. Or should I say the man you love." Tarrlok said making her frown. "I'm not stupid I can see the signs in both of you. You care greatly for him and vice verse. And now he's going to be executed tomorrow night." Tarrlok said.
"I won't let you do that." Korra said.
"Of course I would be willing to let him go...If you both worked for me." Tarrlok said.
"Thats why arrested him. Just to get both of us?" Korra asked.
"I need your answer." Tarrlok said making her growl.
"No. You don't have that kind of authority and I doubt Sean's father would let you kill him." Korra said making him stand up facing away.
"You will regret that choice." Tarrlok said.
"You need to be stopped. Your just as bad as Amon." Korra said making him glare.
"I've tried to work with you Korra. But you've made it impossible." Tarrlok said before using Water bending on her but she dodged before Earthbending him to the wall before using fire bending but he used water to protect himself.
Then he launched a storm of Ice shards at her making her grunt as she was cut up a little before roaring as she earth bent the wall forcing him outside making him yell.
"Still think I'm a half baked Avatar?" Korra asked before kicking him down making him yell before she jumped down and Earth bent making one huge crater. "What are you gonna do now? Your all out of water. I'll make it simple. You let Sean out and Leave both of us Alone." Korra said before she tried to Firebend him.
Only for her to start groaning in pain as her body moved against her will.
"Your in my way, Avatar." Tarrlok said.
"Your...Your a blood bender? But It's not a full moon." Korra said confused as to how he was doing this.
"Theres a lot about me you don't know." Tarrlok said throwing her into a wall knocking her out.
As she was unconscious she had the visions again.
When she came to however she saw she was in the back of a Sato-Mobile.
"Where are you taking me?" Korra asked.
"Somewhere no one will find you. I hope you said goodbye to your protector because by tomorrow night he'll be a deadman." Tarrlok said making her firebend with her mouth as she roared in rage.
"YOU CAN'T DO THIS! LET ME OUT!" Korra screamed as Tarrlok took her away.
Later
Korra groaned as Tarrlok using blood bending took her to a metal box.
"What are you doing?" Korra asked before she was dropped. "TARRLOK!" Korra yelled before he slammed the door. "You can't keep me in here forever!" Korra yelled.
"Oh but I can. Now if you'll excuse me I have to make preparations for Kruger's execution." Tarrlok said making her roar as she tried to get out.
Later
Tenzin walked into City hall having gotten a call about the Equalists attacking Tarrlok and Korra.
He saw Tarrlok being treated by a water bending.
"What happened? What was Korra doing at City Hall?" Tenzin asked.
"As I told Chief Saikhan, Korra came to my office late last night. She was upset about my decision to schedule an execution for her protector. She asked me to release him, and that's when the Equalists attacked." Tarrlok said.
"Thats a bold move." Tenzin said.
"They are becoming more organized. Chief Saikhan, mobilize the entire police force. We have to find the Avatar." Tarrlok said.
Meanwhile
Lin was in her home resting when her radio turned on.
"We interrupt your regularly scheduled broadcast to bring you this special report. Late last night, equalists attacked City Hall. Subduing Councilman Tarrlok and capturing Avatar Korra. Details are still coming in, But..." Lin shut it off before getting out of bed.
Heading to her wardrobe she saw her police uniform before putting it on before ripping off her badge.
Meanwhile
Sean sat in a meditative position to keep himself calm as the time passed before the doors opened up by force due to Lin Metal Bending.
"Oh it's you." Sean said standing up.
"We have problems. Amon captured Korra." Lin said making his eyes narrow.
"What?" Sean questioned.
"I'll explain on the way." Lin said as they left.
Meanwhile
Korra screamed as she banged on the box trying to get out and stop Tarrlok.
"Somebody! PLEASE!" Korra screamed before she slumped down.
"My Advice? Learn to Meditate when you have nothing else to lose." Sean's voice echoed in her head making her sigh before she got in a meditative position.
Flashback 42 years ago
An older Aang stood before Toph and her officers.
"What are you doing here, Aang? I told you I have this under control." Toph said.
"Under normal circumstances I wouldn't get involved. But if what those victims said is true, we're not dealing with a normal criminal." Aang said making her sigh.
"Fine. Follow me, twinkle toes." Toph said.
"Toph, I'm 40 years old. You think you could stop with the nicknames?" Aang asked.
"Nope." Toph said making him sigh before they entered a building seeing a man with muscle by his side eating. "It's over. You're under arrest, Yakone." Toph said.
"What is Republic City coming to? Used to be a man could enjoy his lunch in peace." Yakone said before she used metal bending to restrain him while his guards were held back. "Whats the big idea?" Yakone asked.
"We have over dozens of witnesses, Yakone. We know what you are." Aang said.
"Take him away." Toph said getting her officers to do so.
"I've beaten every trumped-up charge you yahoos have brought against me. And I'll beat this one just the same." Yakone said.
End Flashback
"Whoa...I've finally connected with you, Aang. But what are you trying to tell me? A way to save Sean would be nice." Korra said resuming her connection,
Meanwhile
Tenzin was in his office when Lin and the others walked in.
"I'll have to call you back." Tenzin said hanging up. "Lin, What are you doing here? You should be resting." Tenzin said before looking at Sean. "And you should be in prison." Tenzin said.
"Early parole. Now do you have any leads on Korra?" Sean asked in no mood for jokes.
"I've been on the phone all morning, but nothing yet." Tenzin said sadly.
"Wheres Naga? She could find her no problem." Sean said.
"I'm afraid she's gone as well." Tenzin said.
"Then where do we start?" Bolin asked.
"My guess is the equalists are hiding underground, in the maze of tunnels beneath the city." Lin said.
"Underground. Just like my father's secret factory." Asami said looking down.
"Yeah, yeah, that makes sense. When those Chi-Blockers had me in their truck, it sounded like we drove into a tunnel." Bolin said.
"I think I know where to start looking." Mako said.
Soon the group was back to where Bolin was taken by the Equalists weeks ago.
"The truck with Bolin took off down this alley." Mako said as they walked around.
"This place does smell familiar." Bolin said before Lin slammed her foot down.
"Theres a tunnel nearby." Lin said.
Soon they arrived at the gated tunnel before Sean opened it with force before they walked inside.
"Does Sean seem a little...On edge?" Asami asked Mako.
"He's probably just really worried about Korra." Mako said.
"I don't know. He seems more worried than he should." Asami said.
"Well they do have feelings for each other. They basically said as much to each other since that kiss." Bolin said surprising her since Korra never mentioned that.
"And they aren't dating because?" Asami asked.
"I don't know. I think Sean keeps saying no." Mako said making her frown before they heard bikes and hid behind a wall before a secret door opened up making Sean growl slightly before walking to it and tore it off.
"What are you doing!" Lin yelled in shock before he rushed inside.
"Oh boy he is really pissed off." Julia said before they heard screams of horror making them rush in.
They came in and found a disturbing sight.
At least half a dozen dead Equalists were killed in the most brutal ways imagined before Sean held the last one in the air.
"WHERE...IS...KORRA!" Sean asked strangling him.
"Go fuck yourself Demon!" He yelled making Sean roar before tearing off his head.
"Thats enough." Lin said.
"Stay out of my way." Sean said before running to the middle tunnel.
"What has gotten into him?" Mako asked.
"What do you think? It's his job to protect her no matter what." Reznov said as they ran in after him.
Arriving in the next room they saw more Dead Equalists before Sean opened a cage with Lin's officers.
"Amon took your bending?" Sean asked making them nod while he sighed. "Where is Korra?" Sean asked.
"She's not here. The Equalists don't have her. They all said they had nothing to do with the attack and that Councilman Tarrlok was lying." One said.
"What?" Sean asked confused before the others approached him.
"Why would Tarrlok lie about getting attacked by the Equalists?" Reznov asked.
"Because he has Korra." Sean said glaring dangerously.
Meanwhile
Korra continued to meditate to get some answers from Aang.
Flashback 42 years ago
"Yakone has ruled Republic City's criminal empire for years. Yet he has always managed to stay out of the laws reach until now. You will hear testimony from dozens of his victims. And they will tell you Yakone has maintained his grip on the underworld by using an ability that has been illegal for decades...Blood bending." the prosecutor said.
Sokka narrowed his eyes at that remembering far too well about that ability.
"The prosecution's entire case is built upon the make-believe notion that my client is able to bloodbend at will, at any time, on any day. I remind the council that bloodbending is an extreamly rare skill, and it can only be performed during a full moon. Yet the witnesses will claim that my client used bloodbending at every other time except during a full moon. It would be a mockery of Justice to convict a man of a crime that is impossible to commit." Yakone's lawyer said.
Minutes later the council came back.
"Councilman Sokka will now deliver the Verdict."
"In my years, I have encountered people born with rare and unique bending abilities. I once bested a man with my trusty boomerang who was able to firebend with his mind. Why, even Metal bending was considered impossible for all of history, Until our esteemed chief of police, single-handedly developed the skill. The overwhelming amount of testimony and evidence had convinced this council that Yakone is one of these unique benders. And he exploited his ability to commit these heinous crimes. We find Yakone guilty of all charges and sentence him to life in prison." Sokka said banging the Gavel making Yakone's lawyer throw a paper in anger before Yakone stood up.
Only for Sokka to start groaning in pain as He blood bent him and everyone else in the room before laughing as he faced Aang who tried to stop him.
End Flashback
Korra breathed shakily as she experienced what was happening.
Meanwhile
Everyone was back at City hall along with the other council members and Saikhan.
"Thank you all for meeting us on such short notice." Tenzin said.
"Chief." Lin said glaring at Saikhan.
"Lin." Saikhan said glaring back. (I hate him so much)
Suddenly Tarrlok walked in.
"Have you found Korra?" Tarrlok asked before Sean punched him shocking him.
"Enough games! You took her!" Sean yelled.
"I am shocked you would accuse me of such an evil act. I already explained. Equalists attacked..."
"STOP LYING! I interrogated the Equalists we found in the most brutal ways imaginable. They all admitted they didn't attack last night and the officers that were captured said the same thing. You planted the fucking evidence!" Sean yelled.
"Thats ridicules!" Tarrlok yelled.
"It's True!"
Everyone turned and saw the same woman who brought the gifts Tarrlok sent to Sean and Korra to join his Taskforce.
"He took her. I saw the whole thing."
"Thats is a lie! Everyone knows your nothing but a squeaky voiced lier!" Tarrlok yelled.
"Why didn't you say anything?" Sean asked.
"I was terrified to tell because...Because Tarrlok is a blood bender! HE BLOOD BENT AVATAR KORRA!
Sean growled in rage before grabbing his blades.
"WHERE IS SHE!" Sean roared making him back up in fear before Sean charged at him only to groan in pain as did the others as Tarrlok blood bent them all before they collapsed and he ran.
Sean however got up seconds later and growled in rage before someone stood over him which caused him to look up.
"Well...This is unique sight seeing someone making you this angry. And I thought only Ares had that effect."
"You?" Sean said surprised before the person offered a hand.
"Care to track him down...Big brother?"
Sean grinned before taking the hand.
Soon everyone else came too.
"Wait...Wheres Sean?" Mako asked not seeing him.
Meanwhile
Korra continued to meditate where she was.
Flashback 42 years ago
Yakone laughed as he blood bent everyone before having Toph unlock his cuffs before she and all but Aang were knocked out before he was lifted off the ground.
"Yakone, you won't get away with this." Aang said making him laugh.
"Republic City is mine, Avatar. I'll be back one day to claim it." Yakone said tossing him down out cold before he made his way out to his escape cart.
Only for Aang to immediately wake up before making an air scooter and followed him before blowing him down.
Only for Yakone to come out pissed off before using Blood bending on him.
"This time I'm gonna finish what Ozai couldn't!" Yakone said about to kill him but Aang entered the Avatar State before earth bending him to the ground to stop him before grabbing his head.
"I'm taking away your bending for good." Aang said as Yakone screamed as Aang took away his bending before groaning as Aang stepped back. "It's over." Aang said.
End Flashback
Korra opened her eyes.
"Aang, this whole time, you were trying to warn me about Tarrlok." Korra said rubbing her eyes before hearing the doors open.
"My life is a disaster now, thanks to you." Tarrlok said enraged.
"So your little bloodbending secret's out?" Korra mocked making him growl. "And I know how you blood bent me without a full moon. You're Yakone's son." Korra said.
"I was his son. But in order to win Republic city, I had to become someone else. My father failed because he tried to rule the city from it's rotten underbelly. My plan was perfect. I was to be the city's savior. But you...You ruined EVERYTHING!" Tarrlok yelled.
"Tarrlok, the jig is up, and you have nowhere to go." Korra said making him laugh. "What are you laughing about?" Korra asked.
"At least I didn't lose anyone today." Tarrlok said.
"What are you talking about?" Korra asked.
"Your bodyguard. The Demon of Sparta." Tarrlok said.
"DON'T call him that!" Korra said pissed off.
"Fine whatever. You won't be seeing him again. Not when he's 6 feet under." Tarrlok said making her eyes widen before narrowing them.
"Your lying. He's not that easily killed. The fight in the Arena is proof enough." Korra said making him laugh.
"Then explain this." Tarrlok said tossing in something from the top before it landed in her hands making her eyes widen in horror seeing his necklace that had the Olympian symbol on it. It used to belong to his sister.
"No." Korra said falling to her knees making him smirk. Truth being he took that when Sean surrendered himself.
"I made sure he suffered greatly for all the trouble YOU gave me. Think of this as...Making us even." Tarrlok said being cruel before she started crying.
"I'LL KILL YOU!" Korra yelled banging her fists on the box as she sobbed loudly making him laugh before heading upstairs.
Korra held the necklace close to her as she cried before.
"What the! Who are? AHHH!" Tarrlok yelled in pain before the sounds of something being ripped off was heard making her eyes widen before she heard footsteps making her fearful of whoever was coming for her before sensing someone right outside the box.
Only for the door to be ripped off by.
"Korra?" Sean asked seeing her crying before she saw him before she cried louder before jumping into his arms before he held her to calm her down as she sobbed. "Easy now. I'm happy to see you too but what was that about?" Sean asked as she rubbed her eyes.
"Tarrlok...He said he killed you." Korra said sniffing as she held his necklace.
"Oh, I was wondering what he did with that." Sean said putting it back on before he held her face. "I'm not going anywhere. I promise." Sean said as he held her close to calm her.
"You two in a relationship or something?"
Korra turned and saw someone who looked to be 13 years old. He had tan skin brown hair and dark blue eyes .
"Um...Who are you?" Korra asked making Sean smile.
"Korra...I'd like you to meet my adopted little brother. Turok." Sean said.
"Hi." Turok said waving.
"You never said you had a brother." Korra said.
"Remember the forth member I said was trying to find Inner Peace? Here he is. Turok may look 13 but he's actually a hundred years old. He comes from another foriegn land with a special connection to nature. Even turning into animals from all lands." Sean said before facing him. "And to answer your question no we're not. We're just...very close. Now lets get the hell out of here." Sean said going up the stairs with Korra in his arms as she placed her head on his chest feeling better and safe with her protector...The man she knew she loved.
However they came face to face with Amon.
"YOU!" Sean yelled making Korra gasp in shock.
"I'm impressed. You got here before me." Amon said seeing the now armless and legless Tarrlok who was still alive but in great pain.
"Get out of my way. Or I'll kill you." Sean said growling as Amon's men had their weapons out before Turok started snarling like an animal before fire engulfed him while Sean and Amon looked at one another in the eye.
"Very well." Amon said stepping aside making him growl before they walked forward before Sean stopped right next to Amon. "Something you'd like to say?" Amon asked.
"Before this war is over I am going to kill you." Sean said glaring at him.
"Why wait?" Amon challenged making him snarl.
"Soon." Sean said before he and his brother walked out
Outside was Naga who ran to them before rubbing her head against Korra.
"Good girl." Korra said smiling before Sean and Korra got on top with Turok.
"Go." Sean said getting her to run off.
Later
Tenzin and the others were on Oogi before they heard a familiar Howl.
"That sounds like Naga." Asami said before Tenzin rushed down to see the three on Naga's back.
"Sean? Is Korra..." Tenzin tried to ask.
"Don't worry she's just asleep." Sean said holding her close before they all got on Oogi who flew away.
As they flew Korra opened her eyes still in the arms of her protector and smiled before falling back asleep.
No matter what Sean would always protect her.
