Chapter 7

Finally the trio had made it to the place where Toneri was keeping Hinata. Naruto could sense the barrier right away and slightly frowned. Something was definitely wrong with it; the chakra keeping the barrier emplaced was too weak, as if Toneri wasn't putting chakra into it. Naruto knew that Toneri wouldn't risk losing Hinata and had to have a plan in mind while doing all of this.

"Gaara was the barrier like this when you first came here?" Naruto asked looking at the red head that shook his head in response. When Gaara trailed Toneri and Hinata the barrier was intensely strong too strong for even Gaara to break, but it was as if Toneri didn't care about keeping the barrier up anymore.

"This is obviously a trap, so the best thing to do is to fall right into the trap." Naruto said seriously as Sasuke looked at him in annoyance. Was the dobe finally losing it?

"Are you an idiot? If this is a trap and he knows that you are coming, you have the upper hand by knowing that it's a trap." Sasuke told the blonde who sheepishly scratched his head.

"My point exactly! It's a trap so I'm going to do what he expects and go in alone and try to talk to him."

Hearing his idiotic reasoning made Sasuke's eyebrow twitch. Naruto always wanted to talk his way out of things, but right now that would be a dumb thing to do.

"You're literally putting everything at risk if you do that; Toneri is not going to talk it out with you so it would be better if we all go in together." Sasuke added groaning at Naruto's idiocy, while Gaara stood with his arms crossed, sand slightly flowing around him.

"Naruto-sama I must admit, your plan is going to cause us extra problems." Gaara responded. Although he and Sasuke hated each other, he had to agree that Naruto's plan to just talk would fail, but he wouldn't dare say it out loud.

Naruto let out a deep breath. The plan was to retrieve Hinata and deal with Toneri later, but Toneri wasn't someone who would give up on fulfilling his clan's prophecy so easily. This was going to be troublesome. "I'm going in alone, I want to reason with him, if I can change his mind then it'll be over soon, but if we're not out within twenty minutes, I want you guys to get Hinata somewhere safe, even if that means leaving me behind, understood?" Naruto told his comrades. He just needed to get Hinata far away from that bastard as quickly as possible.

Sasuke rolled his eyes in annoyance as he sat on the ground leaning back against a tree. Gaara nodded towards Naruto as his sand disappeared in the gourd on his back.

"Just don't mess around for too long dobe." Sasuke said closing his eyes, as Naruto slightly smiled.

"Alright, here I go." Naruto exclaimed putting a bit of chakra into his hands as he pushed against the weakened barrier as he easily passed through it, once inside he waved to Sasuke and Gaara as he started running into the old building.

"Looks like Naruto's come to save you." Toneri said aloud mockingly as he felt the blonde enter through his barrier. Upon hearing Naruto's name Hinata got hopeful and couldn't contain her smile, which didn't go unnoticed by Toneri who frowned. She was still struggling to move, he had finally lost it after having tied her up in a chair in her room. It was like her first time here all over again. After she had woken up from fainting Hinata was riled up upon hearing Naruto's name hence why Toneri had to make her calm down.

Hinata groaned softly as her body felt numb, she tried to get out of the ropes around her wrist but couldn't muster up any strength. Nonetheless the heavy feeling of her body couldn't compare to the heaviness within her mind. All the different emotions running through her mind was about to make her break down, but out of every emotion she was angry.

Angry at being lied to.

Angry at being used.

Angry at herself for being in this situation. Maybe if she had noticed something or did anything different she could've been safe at home with her family right now.

A single tear fell from her left eye as Toneri had a somber look on his face. He didn't like seeing his future wife in such a pitiful state; it stung his heart a bit. He bent down next to the chair as she adverted her gaze.

"Hinata….. Listen I know you're probably thinking a lot right now. And I know you're probably angry at me for doing this to you, but I truly do love you, as my wife you'll have everything you could ever need, plus I'll love you for the rest of eternity." He said gently caressing her cheek as he removed the ropes from around Hinata's ankles.

"See isn't that better?" Toneri asked almost jokingly as Hinata's foot collided with his face.

He hit the floor in shock. Holding his now bruised face. He seriously couldn't believe that Hinata of all people had really kicked him as he noticed blood dripping down his nose.

His icy blue eyes stared at her intensely as Hinata started to scream mentally. She knew she shouldn't have kicked him but it was the perfect opportunity to do something. She expected him to be angry and maybe even hit her back, but what he said next was on a whole different level of crazy.

"Hinata it's like you've changed overnight…. I think I'm falling in love with you even more." Toneri said smirking slightly wiping the blood from his nose with his sleeve. Of course he liked the pure and shy Hinata, but this feisty one was a side he'd never seen before and he wanted more.

Seeing her still tied up at his mercy definitely made dirty thoughts run through his mind. No matter what, she always looked so beautiful…..

He wanted her. He had to have her.

Toneri roughly put his hand on Hinata's face, cupping her chin to make her look up at him, her lilac eyes met his icy gaze as she quickly looked away, it was intriguing to see her like this that he couldn't help himself as he leaned down and kissed her roughly, causing Hinata's body to flinch as her eyes widened.

"Don't worry princess; once you're mine I'll kiss you every day." Toneri said breaking away.

"I'll never be yours!" Hinata exclaimed as her whole face was a bright red, unlike before her lilac eyes glared into his icy blue ones and the pair gazes were both unwavering.

Toneri was surprised that she could match his gaze without stuttering or getting flustered. It turned him on even more as his expression made the color fade from Hinata's face, she was scared. His eyes were filled with lust and Hinata's was truly scared as she tried to control her fast heart rate.

"HINATA!"A familiar voice yelled out throughout the halls as Hinata immediately perked up.

"NARUTO I'M HE-"Hinata tried to say as Toneri covered her mouth with his hand. Hinata quickly bit him and he yelped in pain.

Hearing her call out another man's name made his smile turn into an ugly scowl. That blonde was ruining everything.

"I'm going to get rid of that pest and I'll return to you, princess." Toneri said recomposing himself as he hurriedly left the room locking the door from the outside behind him. Hinata yelled as loud as she could until her throat became dry. She had to find a way out of the room as quickly as possible, but how? Suddenly Hinata remembered the puppet servant girl could help her, after all she seemed to be kind so maybe, just maybe she'd help her.

"Young Miss!" Hinata yelled repeatedly as loud as she could. Hopefully she would hear her and help her, but time was not on her side.

"You just don't know when to give up do you?" Toneri said walking calmly into the throne room where Naruto's voice echoed from. Naruto glared at the white haired male.

"Toneri… you've gone too far!" Naruto said loudly almost growling as he walked closer to the male. On the other hand Toneri remained completely composed adorning a small smile on his bruised face

"I must thank you, your highness, because without your generous pardon I wouldn't have able to find my bride and fulfill the prophecy of my clan." Toneri smirked slightly, still standing away from the other male.

Naruto took a deep breath as he tried to calm down, "Where is she? If you give Hinata to me right now I'll make sure your punishment won't be too severe."

Toneri gave a light chuckle upon hearing the last part, which then turned into a crazy laugh. Naruto looked on at him with a seriously worried look, Toneri looked insane and the blood on his sleeve and bruises on his face had to have been from Hinata. "You really are the dumbest prince, even when I betray your trust and steal away a girl from you; you still try to show me kindness?"

"I know that you want to restore your clan to its former glory, but, putting all that pressure on Hinata is not the way to do it…. I'm no better myself, but I will say that kidnapping her and forcing her into a situation she has no control of is wrong."

Toneri continued laughing as he quickly stopped once he heard Naruto's words, once again adorning that famous smile of his as he started waking closer to Naruto.

"We don't need to fight, just return Hinata to me and we can figure out the rest back in the demon realm, I'll talk to my father to make sure that you won't be punished severely, I just need you to calm down and give me Hinata." Naruto reassured as convincingly as possible, while standing casually hoping to avoid any unnecessary conflict.

"So you want me to give up on my dream and rot in jail….again?!" Toneri said with a comical look. "You get the girl and your happy ending and then what? I am left with nothing, not even my own destiny….. And it's all because of you! If you had picked any other girl in the world then I'd be able to find real happiness. You….. Are nothing but an obstacle that's in the way of my goals."

Toneri's usual expression had quickly faded into something more sinister, his eyes had a clouded menacing look in them as he glared at Naruto, causing the blonde's hair to stand up on the back of his neck, the room was being filled with bloodlust all radiating from Toneri.

This was bad.

Naruto opened his mouth to try to reason with him once more, but Toneri quickly cut him off with an evil aura radiating off him.

"She's mine." Toneri responded in a low deep voice as green orbs started to flow around him. Naruto sighed upon realizing that fighting him was inevitable. 'Dammit' Naruto thought as his eyes flashed red.

With incredible speed Toneri sent hoards of his green orbs at Naruto that started to detonate one by one as Naruto easily dodged with lighting fast speed. Naruto tried to get closer to Toneri but as soon as he would the bombs would push him right back. Naruto didn't want to use his powers to fight and instead decided dodging and using taijustsu would be easier, but the power in the orbs Toneri sent were so horrific it was almost like Toneri was actually trying to kill him. Or maybe he was.

Seeing that Naruto was being unaffected Toneri started to get angry. He quickly did a few hand signs as he summoned a large army of puppets; the puppets surrounded Naruto as they all started to attack him head on. The puppets were controlled by Toneri's thoughts/emotions and since he was filled with rage, the puppets attacks were overwhelming since Naruto still refused to use his powers. He definitely underestimated the attack, but was still destroying the puppets just as fast as Toneri conjured up more. Upon seeing how Naruto was barely using any strength, Toneri's attacks started to get more unpredictable as he was losing his mind, even using all his strength against Naruto, he wouldn't win, he wanted to kill Naruto more than ever for making him feel so inferior.

"EVEN NOW YOU MOCK ME, HINATA WAS ALWAYS DESTINED TO BE MINE AND ONCE YOU'RE OUT OF THE WAY I CAN FINALLY BE WHO I WAS MEANT TO BE!" Toneri yelled madly as Naruto started to feel the strain of the hundreds of puppets attacking him. Normally he could've been finished this, but he had hoped talking it out with Toneri would've ended things better, but obviously he was wrong.

"Maybe talking couldn't get him out of this one." He thought aloud to himself as he continued to dodge Toneri's attacks.

"NARUTO!" A female voice yelled out, causing Naruto to look where the voice had came from. It was Hinata, who was standing next to the puppet girl. Upon seeing the both of them Toneri stared at the puppet girl with disappointment in his eyes, nonetheless once Toneri saw that Naruto was distracted he finally thought of a way to win. He conjured up a small green orb and sent it straight towards Hinata and the puppet girl as the pair looked on in horror, Naruto didn't hesitate to shield the two of them from the impending blast, but just before the orb reached them a second larger green orb took its place and exploded right on Naruto, the blast sent him flying through the air as he hit the ground with a thud.

Hinata screamed in horror at the bloody man on the ground as she ran over to him, while the puppet girl left the scene as fast as she could while Toneri's attention wasn't on her.

"Thank you my dear wife, because of you I was able to finally get rid of him." Toneri responded cheerfully as if he had won first place in a game. Hinata ignored him and hovered next to the blonde who clothes were ripped and bloody.

"N-Naruto I-I'm sorry" She stuttered as tears filled her dull eyes. She gently held his head in her lap as Naruto looked up at her with a big grin.

"I'm the one who should apologize." He said softly trying to hide his pain. That was a dirty trick that bastard pulled and Naruto just couldn't risk Hinata and the puppet girl getting hit.

"Get away from him Hinata." Toneri commanded as he walked over to the pair with another green orb in his hand. Hinata instinctively covered Naruto with her body, which made Toneri furious.

"I-if you want to kill him t-then you have t-to kill me t-too." She responded as she held the blonde in her arms tighter. She knew Toneri wouldn't hurt her and this was the only way she could think of protecting Naruto, she just prayed it would work.

"Hinata as my wife-"

"I'm not your w-wife and I'll never love you, so please just stop this….p-please." Hinata pleaded as she started to cry, really full on sobbing which Naruto and Toneri had never seen before. Toneri lowered his hand as he looked on at Hinata, not with pity, but with regret. He really did love her even though she made it clear she would never love him the same way. She was also the key to his destiny…but the way she was crying right now was something he never wanted to see again.

"I'm done." Toneri responded with a grim look on his face. "I'll receive whatever punishment you decide I don't want to see her cry like that ever again."

"You're lucky Naruto is kind because if it was me you'd suffer for eternity." A familiar voice added. Sasuke and Gaara had walked into the destroyed throne room as they spotted Naruto laying bloodied on Hinata's lap. Hinata would say she was shocked to see Sasuke but honestly it would take to shock her a lot right now. Then her eyes fell on Gaara, he was the red head that had been following her….

Naruto noticed her puzzled face as he slowly sat up. "Don't worry, I'll answer every question you may have."

"You're under arrest, for defying the king, entering the human world without permission, kidnapping and attempting to harm someone of the royal family….." Gaara said aloud as he placed chakra infused handcuffs around Toneri's wrist. "I'll be taking him back to the demon realm now, where he will await trial for his crimes." Gaara added as Hinata and Toneri's eyes met once more.

"I'm sorry Hinata for being selfish and doing all of this." Toneri said with sunken eyes as Hinata only looked at him once more before returning her attention back to Naruto. Toneri sighed in defeat as Gaara open the portal to the demon realm and the two went inside. Once he was gone Hinata started to cry once more as Naruto gently hugged her.

"Forgive me Hinata, for all of this." He said caringly as she cried against his chest. It was all finally over.
