Dr. Eggman smirked as he put his cards in the usual place where he chose his robots. He chuckled as the machine chose a robot.
"Perfect." Eggman smirked.
The machine moved up through the ground to start its next attack.
...
Over at Area 99, people studied the new weapon that Eggman released. Where it was going or what it was doing, they had no idea. But they did know Eggman was up to no good again.
"What is it? Some kind of rocket?" An operator asked, studying the machine that was flying towards the city.
"What in the world?" The manager of the group muttered as he watched the missile.
"An unknown object was discovered a couple of minutes ago. I'm afraid that's all we know, sir." One of the operators told their mentor.
"Eggman is up to something." Their manager mumbled. "I only wish I knew what it was."
Out in Outer Space, a satellite was scanning the strange object that Eggman sent.
"Has it been identified?" Asked the manager.
"I'm afraid not, sir." the operator said.
The manager grumbled in frustration. He had to know what Eggman was up to!
...
Over at Eggman's base, the mad scientist was clearly enjoying this. "Well, now, time to have a little bit of fun!" He sneered.
He pressed a button on the machine, and the robot opened its mouth, and released a strange pipe.
"Super Sweeper!" Eggman laughed.
...
What Eggman didn't know, was that one of his fellow enemies, a new Mobian from Sonic's world, watched fiercely, standing on a nearby tree. His red fur and glasses glinted in the sunlight. Wind rustled through his fur as he stood there watched the robot rise from Eggman's layer.
What Eggman was up to, the young Mobian wolf knew he had to stop Eggman before he hurt someone.

Back at Headquarters, an alarm was sounding around the room. The manager didn't like that one bit.
"What's going on?" He asked.
"Sir, communication is cut off. Sir, the satellite, its..."
"GONE?!" The manager gasped in shock.
"Yes, sir."
"This can't be happening!" One member cried.
"It's impossible!" Another member gasped.
...
Watching the robot take pieces away from the Satellite, Eggman smirked. "Just look at my new, shiny toys! Ah, too bad I have to grind them into tiny robot parts!" He laughed evilly.
"Who knew recycling could be such fun?!" He chuckled. "And coast-effective?"
...
Back at the Headquarters, people everywhere were beginning to panic.
"It's getting closer!" Cried one person.
"We've got to warn the president!" The manager snarled fiercely. They had no time to lose!
Blaze, Tails, and Penny watched happily at Cream and Cheese as they watched one of their favorite TV shows. Almost everyone was doing something that day... Sonic was on his usual spot on the roof, sleeping, Mr. Tanaka was mowing the lawn, Chris was downtown meeting up with a friend (he said it was someone secret, and he'll introduce her to Penny later. He said she was around the girl's age, too.) Amy and Ella were in the kitchen, baking a snack. And Grandpa... He was probably studying the Chaos Emerald with Silver. Penny have no idea what Knuckles and Cloud were up to, though.
The figure on the TV spoke, "You know what I like to do best, boys and girls? I like to dance. Dancing is a lot of fun, and it's good exercise too! Hey, I got an idea! Why don't you dance with me?"
Cream and Cheese happily danced along with the character on the TV. "That's it, looking good!"
Ella soon came in with Amy, holding two apple pies. "Snack time, every one!" She smiled happily. They all gasped happily as Amy and Ella put the pies in front of them. "Here we go!" Ella smiled.
"Ella showed me how to make homemade apple pie!" Amy smiled brightly.
"I think our little Amy has quite a knack for baking! I just might be out of a job soon!"
"Wow, Amy, they look really good!" Blaze smiled, looking hungrily at the pies in front of them. Penny nodded. "Though I prefer Pumpkin pie." She said, winking teasingly at Ella.
"I'll be sure to make Pumpkin pie next time, honey." Ella promised smiling.
Penny brightened. "Hey, that means there'll be some left over for the others if they come to visit!"
"Hey, that's a good idea!" Amy smiled at Penny. She then looked up at Ella. "Hey, Ella, maybe Sonic will like some pie!"
Penny jumped up. "Great idea, Amy! I'll go and get him a plate! Oh, and don't forget to save some for Silver and Cloud!" The girl grinned.
Amy frowned at Penny. "N-O, Penny! He'll have the whole pie I made, and I will bring it to him!" She snarled angrily at her.
Tails was looking so hungry, he was making a dive for the one Amy made. Amy growled at him. "No, you don't, that pie's for Sonic!"
Penny frowned at her. What was up with Amy lately?
Amy grasped the pie away from Tails. Unfortunately, Tails was grasping to the plate of the pie, and Amy swung him into the air, and he landed on the TV, breaking it.
Cream and Cheeses started bawling. "Tails, you broke our TV!"
"I'm sorry." Tails said.
"That was our favorite program!" Cream cried.
Penny smiled lovingly at Cream, walking over with the remote and stroking her head gently. "Hey, maybe this will help, sweetie."
"Thank you, Penny!" Cream smiled through tears.
Penny pressed a button, but the TV didn't work.
"Hu. I guess that didn't work!" Tails gulped.
Cream began to cry. "Now we can't watch our program!" She sobbed. She ran over to Penny and hugged her tight, and Penny caressed her gently. Lately, Cream was like a little sister to the girl.
"Cream, sweetie, it's not the end of the world." Penny said, comforting the young girl best she could.
Sonic must've heard them crying, because he hopped in and stood next to her. "Penny, what's going on?" He asked, hands on his hips.
"Hey, Sonic." Penny smiled. "Cream and Cheese are upset because the TV's busted."
"That's what they're crying about?" Sonic looked up at Penny.
"What do we do?" Amy asked. "Now I can't watch my cooking show!"
Now Penny realized what was going on. "Sonic and I were going to watch Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children tonight!"
"We can try another time," Sonic smiled at Penny. However, Penny noticed that Amy was STILL glaring at her. Uh-oh.
"Or Mrs. Thorndyke's movie of the week." Ella said.
"Or the material arts matinee!" Mr. Tanaka suddenly said.
"Sorry, Mr. Tanaka!" Penny said sheepishly.
Suddenly, a familiar laughing robot sound filled the air, and Bokkun suddenly appeared, flying in and landing on the table. Amy and Ella grabbed their pies, protecting them.
Sonic and Penny yelped. Sonic grabbed the girl's arm and pulled her behind the couch. The two peeped out from the top, glaring at Bokkun. Sonic kept a firm hand on Penny's wrist, but thankfully Amy didn't see that.
"That was a disappointing welcome if you don't mind me saying so!" Bokkun said sharply. He pulled out a messenger TV, the one that explodes after every message.
"Got a brand-new message from Dr. Eggman!" Bokkun continued. "So listen up good!"
Eggman appeared on the TV, and Penny gulped, suddenly realizing that she was clinging to Sonic's arm with her free hand. "What is up with me lately?" Penny pondered.
"Greetings, my little warthogs. Sorry it's been so long since my last message, but I've been a little busy little bee. Take a look!"
The TV shown the missile that Eggman sent to destroy a satellite.
"That thing is swallowing up a satellite!" Penny gasped nervously.
Sonic and Penny looked at each other.
"And it's ruining our television reception." Mr. Tanaka said darkly, a glint flowing over his glasses.
"Don't get any ideas, Sonic and Silver." Eggman continued. "After all, I'm only having a little fun! So stay out of it if you know what's good for you!"
It seems that everyone has taken cover at the moment. Amy and Ella were hiding by the fireplace, with logs to protect themselves. Tails, Blaze, Cream, and Cheese were hiding behind the same sofa that Sonic and Penny were hiding, and Tails held a pillow to protect himself.
"As we speak, my E-90 is floating above the stratosphere, collecting all manner of space junk so that I can make more and more of my ever-so-helpful mechanical friends. Well, what do you say to that?" Eggman laughed evilly. "Very soon, you might be obsolete, Bokkun,"
Ooh, that hit home. Big time. Bokkun got to his knees started crying right then and there.
"What's E-90?" Penny asked. Tails and Blaze turned to her.
"We don't know, Penny." Tails said.
"But I bet it's one of Dr. Eggman's robots." Blaze commented,
"I wonder what a stratosphere is." Tails said.
"A layer of air miles above us!" Chuck explained to Tails, jumping in at the right moment. "It's as high as the sky!"
Tails looked surprised. "Hmmm."
Chuck grabbed Bokkun by the head and started to pull him out. "We can do without you, crybaby."
"No, put me down!" Bokkun cried. Sonic and Penny watched as Bokkun pulled one of the explosive pranks on Chuck. A bright light appeared, and soon an explosion came soon after.
"Gotcha!" Bokkun laughed.
Chuck entered, looking shocked and covered in explosion dust.
Penny chuckled nervously. "Looks like that robot is da bomb," She joked.
Sonic and Chuck glared at the girl, and Penny chuckled sheepishly.
"Very funny, but this is serious, Penny." Chuck said. "Eggman's causing havoc miles above everyone's reach!"
"I bet the X Tornado can get up there!" Penny smiled happily.
"Hmmm." Tails said again.
"Come on, Tails." Sonic said. Tails looked up. "Why not? I'm game!" He took a dash for the door and looked out. "Silver! Come on! We have a job to do!" He looked back at Tails, and said, "Let's go!"
"Ok, I'm coming!" Tails said, running after Sonic. Silver soon met them at the plane, and the three of them jumped in.
"We can do it!" Tails smiled.
"You bet!"
"Sonic!" Penny ran out the door and took his hand before they drove off. "Good luck!" She smiled.
"Thanks! Stay safe. We'll be back before you know it!" Sonic smiled back.
Amy, Blaze, Chuck, Chris and another girl soon came to join them. The new girl had light brown hair, and friendly crystal blue eyes just like Penny. She looked like around 14 years old. A bit older than Penny, but close. She wore a white tank top, yellow sweatshirt, beige cargo shorts and matching white sneakers.
"Good luck, guys, we'll be waiting!" Amy smiled brightly at the disappearing plane.
"Hey. You must be Chris's older sister, Penny! I'm Katrina, but you can call me Kat for short." The girl held her hand out in front of the girl.
Penny looked surprised at her. "I'm Penny." The girl said, shaking Kat's hand. She put her hands to her hips and smiled.
"So this is where the strange animals are living. I've wanted to meet them since Chris told me about them."
"Really?" Amy looked up at Kat.
"Uh hu!" Kat smiled at the pink hedgehog.
"Well, why not we get into introductions?" Chuck asked, and they walked inside.

Eggman noticed something going on on his screen. He snarled into his mic, "E-90, zap those meddlers!"
E-90 began to zap lasers at them. Tails, luckily armed with his pilot skills, managed to dodge the lasers. Sonic and Silver glared sharply at the robot.
"Tails, get us close!" Sonic ordered.
Tails obeyed, moving the plane as fast as he can. The bot tried to laser them, but Tails moved it out of the way.
"We're too fast for it!" Tails smiled proudly.
But Silver looked fiercely at the robot, who was still shooting lasers.
"I think that was too close!" Sonic said.
"Don't worry, I have an idea!" Tails said.
The robot started to unleash millions of tiny missiles from the roof of his shell, but Tails managed to dodge the lasers with ease. He started spinning around the robot a couple of times, causing the robot to spin. Eggman, who was watching the whole thing, looked like he was getting sick just watching it.
Tails soon fired his own lasers once the three thought that the robot had lost his senses. They fired at the robot, but no use! The robot seemed to be bullet proof.
"Stay with it." Sonic ordered Tails.
"Just hold on tight!" Tails said fiercely to Silver and Sonic. The two hedgehogs nodded.
Suddenly, the robot unleashed a small rectangular bot, and zoomed towards Sonic, Silver, and Tails. The three mobians screamed in fright. Luckily, Tails managed to fly them to safety. And Eggman was not pleased with that.
"Time for some fireworks!" Sneered Eggman. He pulled a lever, and missiles shot toward the sky. Tails managed to dodge the plane while Sonic and Silver made his move. They dodged the lasers, and managed to get the lasers to land on the robot, damaging it.
"You think you're so smart, don'tcha?" Eggman snarled at the plane. "Super Sweeper!" He ordered. The machine opened its mouth, and tried to suck Tails, Sonic, and Silver in.
"It's sucking us in!" Cried Sonic.
Tails strained as hard as he could, trying to keep the plane in place, and managed to break free from the forceful wind. However, the machine continued to follow them.
"It's coming right behind us!" Sonic sweat dropped.
"I know a way to shake it!" Tails said fiercely. He flew away into the clouds. But that didn't seem to stop it one bit. The robot continued to suck everything in its path.
"It's sucking up the clouds!" Tails cried.
Suddenly, the robot had seemed to also drain out all energy from the plane, and Tails, Sonic, and Silver fell towards the ground, screaming.
Tails strained on the control of his plane as hard as he could, trying to save them from sudden death. The water was coming closer... but suddenly, Tails managed to save them just in time.
Knowing that they couldn't continue the fight like this, they flew homeward.
...
Later that night, Sonic layed down on the roof, looking serious. He thought of how he, Silver, and Tails nearly dodged the strong vacuum of the robot. He knew this enemy was going to be hard to trifle with, and he decided that it would be best if Penny stayed behind on this one. He didn't want her to get hurt, or worse. He would never forgive himself if Penny did anything too reckless.
In the garage, Kat, Chuck, Chris, and Penny stared seriously at the ground, pondering on what to do. It seems that Silver and Tails's story about nearly getting themselves killed by the new robot seemed like Eggman was taking a new role.
Penny looked over at Kat, who looked deep in thought at Tails's story.
Chuck suddenly spoke. "It appears our foe is more powerful than we thought." Chuck said.
Tails grunted, sounding nervous, putting his hand on his plane.
"Hey, Tails. Silver." Sonic hopped from the roof to the group. Silver and Tails turned to them.
"The problem is that the X Tornado is too slow. So what you ought to do is soup this birdy up a little bit."
Kat and Penny looked shocked. "AH-" The two began, not knowing what to say or do. Grandpa and Chris looked shocked as well.
"I could try." Tails said.
"Really, Tails?" Penny asked, looking down at the fox.
Tails looked up at the girl. "Maybe I could use the Chaos Emerald!" He frowned. "But there's a problem."
"How so, Tails?" Kat asked, looking at Tails curiously. He thought for a moment, putting his finger to his chin.
"It's all that energy." He finally said. "The Chaos Emeralds has got a huge amounts of energy. It would only take a tiny hit to run the Tornado, so all that extra energy wouldn't have anywhere to go, that could be a big problem."
Silver and Kat winced. "You do have a point, Tails." Silver said. Kat nodded.
"What do you think, Grandpa?" Penny asked, looking up at Chuck. Chuck frowned.
"We need to find a way to burn off the Chaos Emerald's energy." Chuck said.
"I wouldn't want to just waste it!" Tails cried.
"Do you have any better ideas?" Kat asked.
Tails looked over at his plane and patted a door. "Well, we can install a backup engine." He said. "That way, with two engines instead of one, the energy could have another outlet."
Chuck looked serious again. "Do you really think two engines could contain all that power?" He asked.
"If we wanna beat Dr. Eggman, it's sure worth giving it a try!" Tails said.
Chuck looked up. "In order to install the backup, we'll have to rebuild the plane. Are you sure you have the know-how-to-do-that, Tails?" Chuck asked.
"Well, I've never done anything like this before, but I'll give it a shot."
"Let's DO THIS!" Kat chanted excitedly.
"You can do this, Tails, I know that." Sonic smiled.
"Agreed." Silver crossed his arms and smirked. "Eggman won't know what hit him."
"Come with me, Tails." Chuck smiled. "I've got something that might interest you." He shot the two-tailed fox a wink. "In fact, I'm most certain it will!" Chuck chuckled as he and Tails walked off, with Tails having a curious expression on his face.
...
Chuck took Tails down to a building deep within the garage. Curious, Tails looked around the dark room. "What's this?" He asked.
Chuck smiled, flicking on the switch. "It's my laboratory." He said. Tails's eyes widened as he saw the amazing technology all around him.
"It's amazing!" Tails smiled.
"I think you'll have everything you need." Chuck smiled.
"Sure!" Tails smiled.
"Now, let's rebuild the Tornado!"
"Yeah!" Tails cried happily.
...
Soon, Tails and Chuck began to plan on how to rebuild the Tornado. Later that day, Chuck walked over to Tails. "You've been working all day long, Tails. Why don't you take a break?" He asked.
"It's ok. I'm almost done." Tails said, adjusting the wires to the plane.
"All right." Chuck said, walking away to find out what the rest of us were doing.
Tails felt a pat on his shoulder, and he looked up to see Penny smiling down at him.
...
Early next morning, Kat, Amy, Cream, Cheese, and Penny all slept together on the living room couch. Hearing music, Cream and Cheese woke up first, excited to see that the TV was fixed.
But the screen turned to Dr. Eggman. Cream and Cheese shrieked, causing us to wake up.
"What's wrong, Cream?" Kat asked, rubbing her eyes.
"Good morning! It's time for the one and only Dr. Eggman show!" Eggman on the TV exclaimed happily.
"What's he up to?" Penny moaned, rubbing her eyes as well.
"This program is coming to you live via satellite from a beautiful island in the Southern Sea!"
Cream whimpered. "He's scary!"
"Today's show is bought to you by the amazing Super Sweeper, for a cleaner, safer atmosphere."
...
Over at Eggman's layer, Bocoe looked over at Eggman. "Cue!" He said. Eggman started dancing and singing. Decoe bought the camera over to Eggman, who started to sing:
"Who's the most brilliant scientist in the universe?" He did a spin, got too close to the camera, and smirked. "Me, that's who!" He laughed evilly.
Super Sweeper darted off for another mission.
Outside, the young red wolf mobian from earlier made his move, jumping on the machine, and began to try to disarm it.
...
Back at Headquarters, people inside were panicking about the machine that Eggman let lose.
"Sir, the object appears to have been launched. And someone seems to be on the bot. It looks like another of those animals!" Someone reported to the manager.
The manager looked serious. "Then I believe we have no choice to launch a counter attack."
"Yes, sir." The operator said.
The manager frowned deeper.
...
"Hey Sonic!" Tails cried up to the blue hedgehog.
Sonic hopped down and ran over to Tails and Silver. Sonic looked at Tails, grinning. "Did you finish?" He asked the yellow-orange fox.
Tails gave Sonic a thumbs up. "Yup, we sure did!" He smiled. "Come on, I'll show you!"
Sonic smiled.
...
Soon, they were all standing by the garage door. Tails and Chuck looked at each other, and Chuck took out a remote to the garage door, and up rose the new Tornado.
Amy and Cream gaped at the sight. So did Chris, Kat, and Penny.
"Presenting: Tornado X!"
Sonic smiled, pleased at the sight.
...
Meanwhile, the young Mobian wolf was struggling to stay on the robot who was destroying the satellites. He gulped nervously as he watched the satellites move their lasers at the upcoming robot.
The lasers fired.
The wolf closed his eyes, and braced himself for impact.
But nothing happened.
The wolf looked up to see that the robot was blocking the laser fire with his tube that came from his mouth.
He was safe, for now, but he really was going to need some help soon!
...
Sonic and Silver smiled. "Let's move off, Tails." Sonic smiled.
Penny walked over, hope written on her face. "Hey, Sonic, I was hopping I could go with you, Tails, and Silver too!"
Kat and Chris yelped in shock.
Sonic stared fiercely at the girl. "Penny, you can't come with us." He said. "You know the plane is only a two-seater! Besides, I can't allow you to go, you'll get hurt!"
"You've already did some risky tasks yourself," Blaze said sternly, crossing her arms.
"Really?" Kat asked, looking down at Penny with worry. Ignoring them, Penny turned back to Sonic, hurt in her eyes. "But... I thought that..."
Silver frowned at Penny. "That's right, this one is too dangerous."
Tails looked nervous. "Guess I forgot to tell you." Tails pressed a button on the remote and the Tornado moved in another two seater chairs.
Sonic looked surprised.
"I asked Tails if he could put in an extra seat or two." Penny smiled. Her smile suddenly dropped and she looked down at Sonic. "I hope you don't mind."
Sonic crossed his arms, frowning.
"Well, Sonic? Silver?" Tails asked.
Sonic thought for a long moment.
Penny looked at him with pleading eyes.
Sonic soon looked up at her, and smiled. "Just as long as you don't get in the way, ok? I do not want you to get hurt." He smiled.
"You got yourself a deal!" She smiled back, giving Sonic a thumbs up.
Chris and Kat came over to Penny. "Penny, please be careful!" Chris said.
Kat nodded. "Don't do anything reckless." She smiled, patting the girl's head.
"Hey!" Penny complained. The others began to laugh.
Soon, they were all set to go. Penny sat in the back of the Tornado, ready to fight the robot.
"X-Tornado Ready for takeoff!" Tails smiled big.
"Let's clear the runaway." Chuck smiled, pressing a button on the remote. The palm trees that decorated the runaway sides pulled back, making room for the wings. Amy, Chris, Kat, Cream, Cheese, and, who just came out to watch the new release of the Tornado, looked surprised as well.
"Well, well, well, would you look at that." Cloud smiled, crossing his arms.
"I can't wait!" Chuck grinned. "I'm so excited I could fly!"
Amy looked at Chuck, worry in her green eyes.
Tails and Silver sat in front, and Penny sat behind Sonic in the back.
"X-Tornado... Blast Off!" Tails smiled widely.
The newly improved X Tornado zoomed forward, taking off into the air.
"Ok, get ready!" Tails smiled. "We're about to enter X-Hyper-speed mode!"
The X Tornado suddenly sped super fast. Penny yelped in shock and clung to Sonic's backseat.
"Don't say I didn't warn ya." Sonic teased.
"Shut up!" Penny whimpered, clinging to Sonic's seat and closing her eyes tight.
...
At Eggman's base, Decoe looked nervously on one of the screens. "Sorry to disturb you Dr., but something is coming to E-90, and it sure is fast!"
Eggman smirked. "But not fast enough!" He smiled evilly. "I'll teach them to sneak up on me!"
On E-90, the young Mobian wolf yelped in shock as the machine suddenly moved downward at high speed. He clung to it as it headed down to the object that was headed towards them.
...
E-90 started firing missiles at them. The window to our seat opened, and Sonic dashed out. Since the wind was so loud, Penny didn't know what he was saying. Thankfully, the window closed down as soon as Sonic and Silver left.
Tails grabbed his radio and called to me. "Penny, are you ok?"
"I'm fine!" Penny called back. "Just shocked about how fast this thing is flying!"
"Well, you did asked me to put a seat so you can sit behind Sonic..."
"Tails, be quiet!" Penny said. Tails laughed before hanging up.
Penny watched as Sonic and Silver dodged the lasers. They were quick and good at it, too!
...
Sonic and Silver dodged the lasers, and landed on top of E-90. They looked up in surprise to see a familiar red wolf standing on top of E-90.
"Sonic? Silver?" The red wolf looked surprised to see them.
"Hiro!" Silver smiled in greeting.
"How did you get here?" The young Mobian asked, his amber red eyes shining.
While Hiro and Silver chatted, Sonic noticed lasers. Growling, Sonic sped over to the lasers and tried to dodge them. Finally noticing the situation, Hiro and Silver soon joined, trying to help Sonic.
"You were on here all this time, and you didn't even notice the lasers?!" Sonic scolded Hiro.
"Sorry. Like I said, I was too busy trying to disarm it before it done any more damage!" Hiro said sternly.
The X-Tornado suddenly zoomed overhead, firing at the lasers.
"Don't worry, Sonic, Silver, Hiro, I got your back!" Tails cried out to them.
"Hiro?" Penny asked Tails in confusion.
"Hiro is a Mobian, just like us! He's known as the Rookie. He was actually helping us fight Eggman in the beginning, but we lost contact with him! I'm surprised he came here too!"
Penny looked down at the fight, curious of what was happening.
...
After the missiles were destroyed, Sonic and the others heard something calling their names angrily. "SONIC! SILVER! ROOKIE! I'll put an end to those hyperactive hedgehogs and wolf once and for all!"
He pressed a button, and something on E-90 began firing lasers at the X-Tornado.
...
Lasers were shooting all around them, and Penny screamed, clinging to the chair. But thankfully, Tails managed to get the plane to dodge all lasers. He frowned.
"I can't get any closer!" He said.
...
Sonic watched fiercely as the Tornado was being shot at by the lasers. "Penny! Tails!" He thought. He dashed over to the lasers and crashed inside the laser engine, destroying it. Sonic yelped in shock as he, suddenly followed by Hiro and Silver, landed on the plane.
Sonic sped right over to Penny's window. Penny was curled up in a ball in her seat, shaking. He frowned. "I told you this was dangerous!" He said. "You ok?"
Penny nodded. "I will be once I get used to the heights!" She moaned.
...
Watching the whole fight at home, Amy smiled, eyes shining. "Isn't Sonic the bravest?" She smiled.
Cloud, however, was staring at shock at the young mobian wolf that suddenly showed up on the screen.

Soon, the X-Tornado headed into Space. Sonic once again ejected himself with Silver and now Hiro "Rookie" by his side. The trio looked up at each other, and nodded. They landed once again on E-90. But, they didn't realize that E-90 was going super fast. They yelped as they held on tight.
Penny shrieked once again as the lasers fired around them.
...
Watching the whole thing, Eggman smirked. "Now try and top that!" Eggman laughed evilly.

Penny watched in horror as E-90 moved his vacuum-like tube tried to suck in Sonic, Silver, and Hiro.
"Tails, you gotta do something!" Penny cried. Tails nodded. He transformed the Tornado and zoomed over to Sonic, Silver, and Hiro's rescue.
"Guys, watch out!" Tails warned as he started shooting at the sucker tube that was trying to suck up the guys. The tube exploded, and Penny cheered.
...
"ALL RIGHT!" Eggman growled angrily. "You wanna fight dirty?"

Something ejected from E-90.
Tails moved the X-Tornado over to Sonic, Silver, and Hiro. The gang hopped on. Penny looked back at the guys, and noticed that they was shivering.
"They sure look like they're shivering." Penny noted to Tails over the radio.
"That's because we're getting closer to the stratosphere!" Tails said. "It's 50-below up here, but the guys can handle it."
Penny noticed some type of ice covering the ship. "Tails, what's happening?" Penny asked nervously.
"Everything's ok." Tails said, trying to reassure her.
Penny looked back at the guys, and sweat-dropped once again. They were frozen.
Penny looked over at Tails. "The rings?" Penny asked.
"Not good!" Tails grunted. "I can't open the cockpit!"
"But we got to do something!"
"We've got to find a way to burn off the emerald's excess energy!" Grandpa said over the radio.
"That's it!" Tails gasped suddenly. "I've got an idea!" He started typing something and a ring popped out. "Listen carefully, Penny. "Take the ring and connect it to the tablet underneath the seat."
Penny took the ring and held it tenderly in her hands. It felt warm and light. She thought of something. "What's it gonna do?" Penny asked.
Tails glared at the girl. "There's no time for questions!" He said fiercely.
"Oh, ok. Sorry." Penny apologized.
Penny reached for the yellow plug, and was about to insert the ring, but yelped as the plane tilted. Seems like Tails was trying to dodge the lasers again.
Penny managed to grab the ring and outlet, and placed the ring on it. Penny yelped in surprise as a glow appeared in her hands. It seemed to work, though, and the ice around the trio of Mobians started to thaw. Sonic and Silver smirked as they broke the ice trap.
Strange energy flew from both hedgehogs. Hiro watched with surprise. "Whoa..."
"Watch out, Eggman, we're all warmed up!" Sonic smirked. Tails moved the X-Tornado closer, and Sonic and Silver managed to destroy every missile. Soon, Sonic and Silver ended up inside E-90.
Penny gulped nervously. Were they gonna make it?
The robot suddenly exploded, and Sonic and Silver popped out in swirling balls from the top.
"Yeah!" Tails, Hiro, and Penny said all together.
The robot exploded into a huge fireball.
...
Suddenly, back at home, the TV turned blank and into pixels again. Everyone gasped.
Mr. Tanaka looked stern. "Looks like I'll have to call the cable guy."
...
Sonic and Silver fell through the air. The X-Tornado joined them, and Hiro, Tails, and Penny shot Sonic and Silver thumbs-up.

At home, they were all relaxing after the battle.
Cloud and Hiro were surprised to see each other.
"You know Hiro?" Kat asked Cloud.
Cloud nodded. "Yes, Hiro, he's..." He looked over at Hiro and smiled. "He's my younger twin brother."
They stared at Cloud and Hiro in shock.
Hiro walked up to Cloud. "Good to have you back, bro."
"You, too," Cloud smiled, putting a hand on his brother's shoulder. "You did great today."
Sonic, Silver, and Hiro soon were given hot water tubs to soak their frozen feet in.
Ella came in, holding three bowls. "Sonic, Silver, Hiro, I made you all my caliente chili for you. That will make your tummies nice and warm." She set the plate in front of the trio.
"You sure taught Eggman a lesson, Sonic!" Chuck smiled.
"It wasn't us, Chuck." Silver smiled back. Sonic nodded. "We just helped this time. Penny and Tails are the ones that did it!"
Tails and Penny looked surprised.
"They're the real heroes." Hiro added.
Tails and Penny looked at each other and gave each other high fives.
"Let's celebrate!" Amy's voice came in the doorway. They turned to her. In her hands were small cups of ice cream. "I made this ice cream myself... for the coolest guy around!"
Penny looked at Sonic, and the two chuckled nervously. "Uh...well, cool." Sonic shrugged.
The two laughed.
