Chapter 8: Nightmare on Main Street
4 hours passed since Li defeated Shendu. Everyone alternated between sight-seeing the lands they had previously won in and watching the cauldron. Uncle was the only one who never took a break from watching out for Shendu and Drago's next whereabouts and Jackie was concerned he was going to stress himself out.
"Jackie!" complained Jade. "I'm bored of sight-seeing! Where's Shendu and Drago now? I wanna kick their butts now!"
"Jade," said Jackie, "how many times must I tell you? We are doing the best we can in searching for them. You just have to be patient."
"Hmph," grunted Jade. "And it's been like what? 4 hours now? This 'patient' thing is getting boring!"
Shortly after Jade finished her rant, Uncle broke out of what seemed like a weird trance.
"Hatchaaa!" yelled Uncle. "Uncle has located demons' next location! Demons' are in Haunted Mansion!"
"Yah mean, we're gonna see ghosts?" asked Ratso nervously.
"Oh yeah! We're gonna go Dragon-busting!" yelled Jade.
"As the unfortunate host of these games," said Mickey, "contestants must me chosen by me." Mickey dug his hand through the raffle box and pulled out four names. "It's decided! The contestants of the next game are: Jade, Jackie, Ratso, and Li!"
"Yes!" yelled Jade. "Uncle Jackie and I are going Demon-busting!"
"Jade," said Jackie, "this isn't a game. This is-oh why do I even bother tellling her?"
"I don't want to die!" cried Ratso.
"Oh dear," sighed Li.
"Before we head off, please change into these sorcerer robes," said Mickey. Everyone changed in about 5 minutes.
"Is everyone ready?" asked Mickey. When everyone nodded, Mickey shouted, "Now that you're done, LET'S GO!"
When the five of them arrived at the Haunted Mansion, Mickey announced:
"We're here, everyone! This is Horror Land! In this haunted forest, witches' cottages line the paths, and ghosts gather after nightfall. Wield the magic of truth and justice when venturing through the forest! Your objective this time, is to defeat the Wizard Shendu, a resident of the haunted forest. Defeat Shendu to become the Super Star of Horror Land! Now, before this adventure begins, we must determine turn order."
As soon as Mickey said "turn order", Jade, Jackie, Ratso, and Li took out their dice and rolled them. The results were: 9, 1, 10, and 5.
"Turn order has been decided. Ratso is first", said Mickey.
"Um, ok," said Ratso.
"Jade is second."
"Oh yeah!" exclaimed Jade.
"Li is third."
"I'm ready," said Li.
"Jackie is forth."
"Let's go," said Jackie.
"And lastly, a present! I give you each 10 Coins. Please use them wisely." Good luck becoming the Super Star of this land! Well then, let's get started!"
Turn 1(Day time)
Ratso's move: Ratso rolled a 2. He landed on a Blue Space and ended his turn.
Jade's move: Jade rolled a 1. She landed on a Blue Space and ended her turn.
Li's move: Li rolled a 3. She landed on the Bank Space, but Petey's Bank didn't have any Coins in its reserves.
Jackie's move: Jackie rolled an 8. He had to pay Petey's Bank 5 Coins and then landed on a Blue Space and ended his turn.
1 VS 3 Game: Li VS Ratso, Jade, and Jackie
Mini-Game: Archer-ival
Li had clearly worked on her aiming skills during the 4-hour break, and managed to win.
Standings: 1st: Li(20 Coins), tied in 2nd: Ratso and Jade(13 Coins), 4th: Jackie(8 Coins)

Ratso's move: Ratso rolled a 10. He paid Petey's Bank 5 Coins and then landed on a Blue Space and ended his turn.
Jade's move: Jade rolled a 2. She landed on the Bank Space and got all 10 Coins in its reserves.
Li's move: Li rolled a 10. She stopped by the Item Shop and bought a Mushroom for 10 Coins. She then landed on a Blue Space and ended her turn.
Jackie's move: Jackie rolled an 9. He landed on a Blue Space and ended his turn.
4-Player Game: Shy Guy Says
One by one, the players got eliminated until Li was the only one left.
Standings: tied in 1st: Li and Li(23 Coins), tied in 3rd: Ratso and Jackie(11 Coins)

Ratso's move: Ratso rolled a 8. He bypassed a zombie trapped in a cage, but didn't have enough Coins to pay the guard. He then landed on a Shendu Space, who forced Ratso to fork over 10 Coins.
Jade's move: Jade rolled a 2. She landed on a Blue Space and ended her turn.
Li's move: She decided to use her Mushroom and rolled a total of 6(3+3). Mickey's voice called her via intercom and said: "Hey! Pretty lucky! You got 2 of the same number! You win 10 Coins!" "Yeah!" exclaimed Li. She then spotted the locked zombie and paid the guard 20 Coins to free him.
"Thanks... saving...me", said the zombie. "Here's...Token!"
"Yay! I got it!" said Li.
Li landed on a Happening Space and suddenly, night turned to day.
Jackie's move: Jackie rolled an 2. He landed on a Battle Space. Oswald appeared and told everyone to bet 10 Coins (although due to the fact that Ratso only had one Coin, Oswald only got a total of 31 Coins).
Battle Game: Face Lift
Jade came in 1st, Jackie came in 2nd, and both Ratso and Li tied in 3rd.

Li messed up the cake count, making Ratso and Jade the winners.

Jade's move: Jade decided to use her Mushroom and rolled two 9's, which earned her a 10-Coin bonus. As she strolled through the haunted forest, she spotted a zombie trapped in a cage. Jade then paid the guard 20 Coins to free the zombie.
"You...saved...me..."said the zombie. "Heeereee's...Token..."
"Oh, yeah! I rule!" shouted Jade.
She then landed on a Happening Space, which turned night to day.
Li's move: Li rolled a 1. She landed on a Blue Space and ended her turn.
Jackie's move: Jackie rolled an 8. He spotted a zombie trapped in a cage, but didn't have enough Coins to free him. Jackie then landed on a Blue Space and ended his turn.
1 VS 3 Game: Jade VS Ratso, Li, and Jackie
Mini-Game: Lights Out
In less than 10 seconds, Jade knocked everyone's lights out.

Ratso's move: Ratso rolled a 3. He had to pay Petey's Bank 5 Coins and then landed on a Blue Space.
Jade's move: Jade rolled a 6. She landed on the Bank Space and got the Coins Ratso had deposited.
Li's move: Li rolled a 4. She paid Petey's Bank her remaining Coins, landed on a Blue Space, and ended her turn.
Jackie's move: Jackie rolled a 1. He landed on an Item Space and played Coffin Congestion, in which you had to watch carefully as the coffins shuffled the items around. After the shuffle ended, Jackie managed to get a Plunder Chest.
4-Player Game: Bumper Balls
Jade and Jackie knocked each other off the platform at the exact same time. The battle between Li and Ratso lasted for quite some time, but Ratso finally managed to knock Li off and win.

Ratso's move: Ratso rolled a 10. He stopped by the Item Shop and bought a Mushroom for 10 Coins. He then landed on a Happening Space and night turned to day.
Jade's move: Jade rolled a 2. She landed on a Blue Space and ended her turn.
Li's move: Li rolled a 9. She landed on a Happening Space and day turned to night.
Jackie's move: Jackie used his Plunder Chest to steal the Mushroom that Ratso had. Then Jackie used the stolen Mushroom and rolled a total of 9.
He passed by Petey's Bank and had to pay it 5 Coins. Jackie finally landed on an Item Space and got another Plunder Chest.
2 VS 2 Game: Jade and Jackie VS Ratso and Li
Mini-Game: Torpedo Targets
Jade and Jackie got 3 points, while Ratso and Li got 2.
Standings: 1st: Jade(1 Token, 68 Coins), 2nd: Li(1 Token, 3 Coins), 3rd: Jackie(19 Coins, 4th: Ratso(14 Coins)

Ratso's move: Ratso rolled a 4. He landed on a Blue Space and ended his turn.
Jade's move: Jade rolled a 1. She landed on a Happening Space and night turned to day.
Li's move: Li rolled a 6. Drago suddenly jumped out from behind a tombstone and stole the remainder of Li's Coins. She then landed on an Item Space and got a Shendu Bomb.
Jackie's move: Jackie rolled a 6. He landed on a Red Space and ended his turn.
As soon as Jackie finished his turn, the Shendu Bomb activated, and Shendu suddenly appeared.
"Hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm! I am the legendary wizard, Shendu!" laughed the demon. "Welcome to the Haunted Forest, which I used my magic to create! Shall I use my magic on you and turn you into ghosts? Wah, hah, hah, hah, HAH!" Shendu then rolled 3 dice and got a total of 22. He ran into Li but she didn't have any Coins for him. After his turn ended, Shendu said the following message: "My wanderings are over...Play a Mini-Game to regain your wits! Good luckl in your travels! Shendu's magic is best!" He then vanished into thin air.
2 VS 2 Game: Ratso and Li VS Jade and Jackie
Mini-Game: Sky Pilots
Jade and Jackie managed to emerge from the treacherous sky's victorious.
Standings: 1st: Jade(1 Token, 78 Coins), 2nd: Li(1 Token, 0 Coins), 3rd: Jackie(26 Coins, 4th: Ratso(17 Coins)
Turn 9(Day Time)
Ratso's move: Ratso rolled a 10. Drago jumped out from behind a tombstone and robbed 5 Coins from Ratso's wallet. The big man then stopped in front of a magic gate that only moved during the day and paid it 5 Coins to open it. He then landed on an Item Space and got a Shendu Bomb.
Jade's move: Jade rolled a 10. She paid Petey's Bank 5 Coins, landed on a Blue Space, and ended her turn.
Li's move: Li rolled a 9. She landed on a Blue Space and ended her turn.
Jackie's move: Jackie rolled a 10. He paid Petey's Bank 5 Coins, landed on a Blue Space, and ended his turn.
After Jackie finished his turn, the Shendu Bomb activated, and Wizard Shendu appeared once again to cast his nasty magic. He rolled a total of 17 and ran into Ratso. After stealing all of the big guy's Coins, Shendu vanished.
4-Player Game: Totem Pole Pound
Ratso was the first one to pound the pole into the ground.
Standings: 1st: Jade(1 Token, 76 Coins), 2nd: Li(1 Token, 3 Coins), 3rd: Jackie(24 Coins, 4th: Ratso(10 Coins)

Ratso's move: Ratso rolled an 8. He landed on the Bank Space and got all 18 Coins in its reserves.
Jade's move: Jade rolled a 2. She stopped by the Item Shop and bought a Golden Mushroom for 20 Coins. She then landed on a Blue Space and ended her turn.
Li's move: Li rolled a 7. She landed on a Blue Space and ended her turn.
Jackie's move: Jackie used his Plunder Chest to steal Jade's Golden Mushroom. He then used it and rolled a total of 19. Jackie encountered Zero the Ghost Dog and paid him 5 Coins to steal Jade's Coins. Jade put up a decent struggle, so Zero only managed to steal 21 Coins. Jackie then spotted a zombie trapped in a cage and paid the guard 20 Coins to free her.
"Thank...you...living...one," said the zombie. "Here's...Token."
"Alright!" said Jackie.
Jackie encountered Zero the Ghost Dog once again and paid him 5 Coins to steal Jade's Coins. Jade groaned at having to fight Zero again, but Zero managed to steal 21 Coins. Jackie finally landed on a Blue Space and ended his turn.
4-Player Game: Honeycomb Havoc
Ratso managed to win without a sting.
Standings: 1st: Jackie(1 Token, 40 Coins), 2nd: Jade(1 Token, 17 Coins), 3rd: Li(1 Token, 8 Coins, 4th: Ratso(41 Coins)

Ratso's move: Ratso rolled a 2. He landed on a Blue Space and ended his turn.
Jade's move: Jade rolled a 2. She landed on a Blue Space and ended her turn.
Li's move: Li rolled a 5. She landed on the Bank Space but didn't get any Coins.
Jackie's move: Jackie rolled a 6. He landed on a Battle Space and Oswald appeared once again. Everyone had to pay 10 Coins.
Battle Game: Hot BOB-OMB
In this explosive game, Li came in 1st, Jade came in 2nd, Ratso came in 3rd, and Jackie came in 4th.

In this game, the two teams had to work together to cut the raw log. And Ratso and Jade managed to win.

"Oh yeah! I rule!" shouted Jade.
She landed on a Battle Space and everyone had to pay Oswald a 10 Coin entrance fee.
Battle Game: Bumper Balloon Cars
The game passed by quite fast, with Li, Jackie, and Ratso being eliminated in only 10 seconds. Jade came in 1st, Ratso came in 2nd, Jackie came in 3rd, and Li came in 4th.

Mini-game: Shock Drop or Roll
In this game, Jade, Li, and Jackie had to run on a giant, spinning turbine while Ratso pulled the lever. Ratso's goal was to spin the turbine and hope his opponents fell off and got shocked. Unfortunately for him, Jade, Li, and Jackie managed to stay on.

Li managed to keep her cool despite the intense heat and won.

Ratso's move: Ratso rolled a 6. He encountered a giant, talking eyeball who told him it would warp Ratso for just 5 Coins. Ratso accepted the offer and the eyeball "warped" him to the other side of the board. Once on the other side, Ratso landed on an Item Space and got a Warp Block.
Jade's move: Jade rolled a 7. She spotted a zombie trapped in a cage and paid the guard 20 Coins.
"Thank...you..." said the zombie. "Here's...Token..."
"Oh yeah!" said Jade.
Jade then landed on a Battle Space and Oswald made everyone pay 30 Coins to play this time.
Battle Game: Crazy Cutters
Jade came in 1st, Li came in 2nd, Ratso came in 3rd, and Jackie came in 4th.
Standings: 1st: Jade(3 Tokens, 77 Coins), 2nd: Li(1 Token, 43 Coins), 3rd: Jackie(1 Token, 0 Coins, 4th: Ratso(19 Coins)

Jade proved her cunning and won.

After the Mini-Game ended, Mickey called via inter-com to make an important announcement.
"We have reached the last 5 turns! Let's look at the standings! Jade is first! Li is second. Jackie is third. And Ratso is in last place. But who shall be victorious and become the Super Star? With that, it's time for everyone's favorite show: Predict the Super Star! And making the prediction this time is this individual! Come join us on stage!"
Jack Skellington, the King of Halloween walked up to the stage and declared: "Um...Well, I believe Jackie will be the winner!"
"Our predicted winner, Jackie, shall receive a 10-Coin present from Jack Skellington!" said Mickey. "And finally, an important announcement! From now until the end of the game, all Blue and all Red spaces shall be doubled to 6 Coins! And, if two players land on the same space, a Duel Mini-Game will begin! This is a huge chance! Be sure to make the most of this opportunity! This is your final chance! Aim for Super Stardom and give it all you've got!"
Turn 16(Day Time)
Ratso's move: Ratso used his Warp Block and switched places with Jackie. He then rolled a 2, paid Petey's Bank 5 Coins, landed on a Blue Space, and ended his turn.
Jade's move: Jade rolled a 4. She paid Petey's Bank 5 Coins, landed on an Item Space, and got a Golden Mushroom.
Li's move: Li rolled a 4. She spotted a zombie trapped in a cage and paid the guard 20 Coins.
"Thank...you..." said the zombie. "Here's...Token..."
"Yay! I got it!" said Li.
She finally landed on a Blue Space and ended her turn.
Jackie's move: Jackie rolled a 7. He landed on a Blue Space and ended his turn.
4-Player Game: Hexagon Heat
The game ended in a draw with everyone all burned up.

Ratso's move: Ratso rolled an 8. Drago suddenly jumped out from behind a dead tree and grabbed 5 of Ratso's Coins. He then landed on the same Blue Space as Li and the two of them played the Horror Land Duel Mini-Game, Mushroom Brew.
In Mushroom Brew, Oswald shouted out one of three mushroom colors and the contestants had to put the shrooms in the pot and the one who had the best brew won. In the end, Ratso managed to make the better brew.
Jade's move: Jade decided to use her Golden Mushroom and rolled a total of 22. As she bypassed Petey's Bank, she had to deposit 5 Coins into it. She eventually landed on a Blue Space and ended her turn.
Li's move: Li rolled a 5. She paid Petey's Bank 5 Coins, landed on a Blue Space, and ended her turn.
Jackie's move: Jackie rolled a 4. He paid Petey's Bank 5 Coins, landed on a Blue Space, and ended his turn.
4-Player Game: Bumper Balls
Li and Ratso put up such a great fight, that the game ended in a draw.

Everyone had to count how many Mickeys there were. In the end, Li and Jackie got the correct answer.

Li's move: Li rolled a 2. She landed on a Happening Space and night turned to day.
Jackie's move: Jackie rolled a 6. He paid the eyeball 10 Coins to warp to the other side of the board. Once there, he ran into a caged zombie and paid her captor 20 Coins to free her.
"Thank...you...here's...Token..." said the zombie.
"Yes! I got one!" exclaimed Jackie.
Jackie finally landed on an Item Space and got a Magic Lamp.
4-Player Game: Totem Pole Pound
Li succeeded in pounding the pole into the dirt this time around.

Ratso's move: Ratso rolled an 8. He paid Petey's Bank 5 Coins, landed on a Blue Space, and ended his turn.
Jade's move: Jade used her Golden Mushroom and rolled a total of 16. She landed on the Bank Space and got all 65 Coins in its reserves.
"Oh yeah!" yelled Jade.
Li's move: Li rolled a 9. She spotted a zombie trapped in a cage and paid the guard 20 Coins.
"Thank...you..." said the zombie.
"Yay! I got it!" said Li.
Li landed on a Red Space and ended her turn.
Jackie's move: Jackie rolled a 4. He landed on a Happening Space and day turned to night.

In this game, the two teams had to perform a song that Mickey played and whoever played the best won. When the song finished, Ratso and Jade got 10 Coins for outstanding performance.
Standings: 1st: Jade(3 Tokens, 164 Coins), 2nd: Li(3 Tokens, 18 Coins), 3rd: Jackie(2 Tokens, 1 Coin, 4th: Ratso(44 Coins)
When all 20 turns ended, Mickey congratulated Ratso, Jade, Li, and Jackie on a job well done.
"The final turn has ended. So, who is the Super Star? It's time to hear the final results! First, we'll count everyone's Tokens! Here are the Tokens you've all earned!" Jade and Li had 3, Jackie had 2, and Ratso had none.
"Now that we've seen your Tokens, we'll count your Coins! You've collected...this many Coins!" Ratso had 44, Jade had 164, Li had 18, and Jackie had 1.
"Now, I'll award the Bonus Tokens! The following players shall receive 1 Token for excellent performance! First is the Mini-Game Token! This award goes to the player who collected the most Coins in Min-Games. The Mini-Game Token award goes to...Jade!"
"Next is the Coin Token Award. This award goes to the player who collected the most Coins in board game play. The Coin Token award goes to...Jade!"
"Next is the Happening Token Award. This award goes to the player who landed on the most Happening Spaces. The Happening Token Award goes to...Li!"
"And that finally brings us to the Super Star! Now for the official announcement! The Super Star is..."
But before Mickey could finish his sentence, Sally the Rag Doll suddenly appeared from the forest with terrible news.
"Oh, toil and trouble!" Sally cried. "The wizard, Shendu is out wreaking havoc!" Everyone followed Sally into the woods.
Somewhere in the haunted woods, a friend of Sally's was walking alone at night. "Ohh!" she said nervously. "It looks like ghosts could appear at any moment..." A ghost suddenly appeared behind her and yelled,"BOO! I''m a ghost!" Sally's friend shook in fright.
To make matters worse, Wizard Shendu approached her from behind.
"Are you OK?" asked Shendu innocently.
"Oh!" said the friend. "Thank you..." She froze when she realized who she was talking to. "AHHH! Shendu!"
"MY magic is the best magic!" boasted Wizard Shendu. "Abra-ca-FROG-ra!" Shendu casted an evil spell that transformed the friend into a frog.
"Rrrribbit!" said the frog.
Suddenly, a figure appeared from behind the trees.
"Huh?" demanded Wizard Shendu. "Who goes there?"
"Rrrribbit!(It's you,)Rrrrrribbit!(Jade!)" croaked the frog.
"Jade chanted a reversal spell at the frog, which turned the frog back into the friend.
"Retreat! Retreat!" cried Sally's friend as she ran for cover.
"MY magic is the best magic!" yelled Wizard Shendu. "Hocus Pocus!"
Shendu and Jade fired magic beams from their wands at the same time. The two beams collided with one another and it seemed that the two sides were evenly matched.
"Uh-oh!" said Shendu desperately. "Then I'll get you with...Abra-ca-FROG-ra!"
Wizard Shendu fired the same spell that he used on Sally's friend at Jade. However, Jade was ready with the counter-spell and fired it at Shendu. The spell proved too strong for Shendu to fight and the demon sorcerer was turned into a frog.
"Rrribbit!(I'll remember this!)" yelled Frog-Shendu. He turned around and hopped away.
"Oh! Thank you so much! You saved me!" cried Sally's friend.
"Great work, Jade! You are the Super Star of Horror Land!" exclaimed Mickey.
"Oh yeah! I kicked demon butt!" yelled Jade.
Final Standings: 1st: Jade(5 Tokens, 164 Coins), 2nd: Li(4 Tokens, 18 Coins), 3rd: Jackie(2 Tokens, 1 Coin, 4th: Ratso(44 Coins)
Back at the laboratory...
Shendu and Drago retreated back to the laboratory. The frog spell had worn off of Shendu and both demons were seething in anger and frustration.
"That's it!" yelled Shendu at the mad scientist. "I've had it with you! You told us to invade parts of Disneyland for your own pleasure and what were the results? All five times we got humiliated by Jackie Chan and his fools!"
"Wait! Wait!" cried the scientist. "We can sort this out, I assure you! I-"
"I don't want to hear your feeble excuses anymore!" yelled Shendu. "It is time I take matters into my own hands!" And with that, Shendu and Drago began destroying the lab with their fiery breaths.
"What are you doing?!" yelled the scientist. "How dare my creations destroy my lab! I order you to stop this ruckus at-OOOF!"
Drago smacked the scientist into the wall and then trapped him in a cage.
"You ain't the boss of us no more, you old dog," said Drago with an evil smirk on his face. "Me and dad are in charge now. And I think it's time to pay a certain rodent a nice, warm visit!"
Drago ran off towards Sleeping Beauty Castle while his father Shendu "renovated" the laboratory.
At Sleeping Beauty Castle
Jade and the gang met with Uncle, Tohru, Chow, Finn, and Captain Black and were just about to celebrate their victory until they heard a loud explosion.
"Aiiyahhh!" cried Uncle.
"What the heck was that?!" yelled Jade.
"An explosion?!" yelled Jackie.
"Is this another terrorist attack?" asked Captain Black.
"I think so dudes," said Finn as he pointed at a figure standing in front of the castle. And in the figure's scaly arms, was Mickey Mouse, who was tied up tightly in a bundle of ropes.
"Drago!" everyone yelled at the same time.
"He's got Mickey!" cried Jade.
"Let me go!" yelled Mickey. "What do you want with me?!"
"Shut up, mouse!" snapped Drago. He then turned his attention on the heroes and said with an evil smirk on his face, "You may think you fools won, but me and dad have one last trick up our sleeves!"
"Let Mickey go," said Jackie as he glared at Drago. "We beat you and your father fair and square at your own games. Now end this charade."
"Nah, ah, ah," taunted Drago while waving his nasty finger in Jackie's face. "Didn't I say me and dad had one last trick? If you fools ever want to see your precious little mouse again, you must come to Toontown in an hour! If you refuse, we will turn all of Disneyland into Demonland! Hah, hah, hah!" And with that, Drago ran away with Mickey as his prisoner.
"That snake!" yelled Chow. "This time, he's really gonna get it!"
"As much as I hate to be angry, you're right," said Li. "We can't let Shendu and Drago get away with this."
"This party is really starting to heat up," said Finn as he gazed at the fire.
"I know, right?" said Ratso.
"I'm gonna kick Gecko-Face so hard, he'll be begging for mercy!" growled Jade.
"Bad day, bad day, bad day..." muttered Jackie.
Oh no! Jade may have defeated Shendu, but the demon sorcerer retaliated back by kidnapping Mickey Mouse! Will our heroes be able to rescue him? Or will Disneyland become Demonland?
