Hello there! Yet another chapter for you!
Chapter 14: Intervention II
"Then, here I am. Reborn on Remnant as Jaune Arc." finished the Arc.
RWBY was left silent. Ruby felt sorry for Jaune for having to live all through that, but also felt scared that he had taken another life.
Yang was shocked that someone like Jaune was actually a soldier that went through hell and back, and was now living a new life.
Weiss, despite having some troubles with Jaune at first, felt that this was some sick joke.
Blake couldn't believe that someone from a different world, was reincarnated as the blonde leader of JNPR. She read a lot of theories regarding reincarnation, but never did she think that she'd meet someone who did get reincarnated.
NPR was worried what RWBY was about to say. They hoped that they would understand where Jaune was coming.
"...Jaune... you went through all of that?" asked Ruby silently.
Jaune nodded, then he asked.
"Do you want to know why I told you this?"
Silence.
The Arc sighed "Blake, when you said 'we' , who did you mean by that? Who's we?"
Blake snapped out of her shock and replied hesitantly "If you could untie me, I could show you instead..."
Jaune nodded to Yang and Nora, to which they both went to untie her, although the blonde bombshell had to be ushered by the still silent Ruby.
Jaune watched Blake intently as she slowly began to raise her hands towards her bow.
Then, she finally showed them who she really was.
On her head were a set of black cat ears. Everyone was shock, except for Jaune.
"I'm... a Faunus..." she said in a loe voice.
"...there's more to it than you being a Faunus." Jaune stated firmly.
Blake nodded hesitantly.
"I... was part of the White Fang... "
"And why did you leave?"
"Because... because I started to see how wrong we were doing things... especially that story you told me about... I wanted to redeem myself. I wanted true equality, not Faunus supremacy..."
Jaune nodded before gesturing to Ruby "Do you have anything else to say Miss Rose?"
"...Blake... I'm sorry if you thought I couldn't trust you..." she said as she went to hug the cat Faunus.
Yang went next "Hey... don't worry okay? We got your back, don't we girls?"
She looked at the other two teammates, Ruby wss giving a thumbs up, but Weiss looked ready to leave.
She started marching to the door, but before she could get to it, Jaune placed himself between her and the door.
"Arc. Sharpe. Whatever your name is, let me pass this instant."
"Just call me as I am here on Remnant ma'am, as for your request, I think I'll have to decline. I didn't think I did this just to let your team go to shambles." came his sharp(e) reply.
"I said let me out this instant. I will not let myself be affiliated with the likes of the White Fang." Weiss spat out.
"So you think her history is still worse than mine?"
"I may not believe your whole reincarnation thing, but if you were a soldier, you did those things because of your job. She, for all I know, could be a cold blooded murderer in disguise."
Jaune looked her dead in the eye and said "Listen here Schnee, and listen well. Do you wonder why the White Fang existed?"
"Of course I do! They wanted to clean the human race off the face of the planet!"
"History check, The White Fang was a peaceful organization that sought to negotiate Faunus rights after the Faunus war. They tried any peaceful alternative they could, but did you know why they resorted to the violence you see and hear of today?"
He waited for an answer, but when he got none, he continued.
"It's because of people like you. People like your father. People who discriminate the Faunus race just because of some extra genes. See my point? Or are you going to continue to believe in your daddy's views on the Faunus wanting to murder everyone in the bloody planet?" he finally finished.
Everyone was silent once again.
Weiss' thought's raced as she started to comprehend all the information she was given.
Then, she sighed and glared at Blake before saying "Let this be known Belladonna, I do NOT trust you at all."
Jaune looked at his team and shared the same look of concern they gave.
This weekend is going to be eventful.
Vale
"So, let me get this straight, you dragged my arse all the way to Vale at this time of night for what again?" asked Jaune as he accompanied Yang.
"Listen Ri-"
"Just call me Jaune. I left that name when I died on Earth, Yang." he groaned.
"Anyways, I just wanted to thank you for stopping Blake... and at least talking some sense into Weiss." she told him.
Jaune shook his head "I honestly didn't expect that to work, especially my entire reveal my past life thing."
"Well, I whatever your past life was, is still past, so I honestly couldn't give two shits. Maybe except for the killing soldiers, but my point still stands, you didn't do those things here so don't worry about it." assured Yang as she approached an establishment.
"Besides," she continued "I find it funny that an old man had to go through a childhood again."
"Jokes on you then," smirked Jaune "I had no childhood."
Yang resisted the urge to laugh at Jaune's dark humour. "Alright old man, in here."
Jaune rolled his eyes as he followed Yang inside the establishment.
The place was a club by the looks of it, but it was currently empty except for the usual guards and staff.
It was also looking like it was in the process of repairs as there was a few tools here and there and some cracked walls as well.
Jaune raised an eyebrow at his fellow blonde "Yang, why are we in some bar?"
"Well, Blakey still wasn't sure if the White Fang are still behind the dust robberies in Vale, so she asked Ruby and I to help her gather any information."
"Right... and this information your finding is... in here?"
"Close, he's actually an informant who knows just about anything in the underworld."
Jaune had several questions on how she met this informant, but then tensed when he saw guards approaching in a threatening manner. He tapped Yang on the shoulder and asked "You don't happen to be the reason why this place is all buggered up right?"
Yang just smiled at him as answer, and the answer was not good for Jaune in the slightest.
"Hey, you two! We're closed!" shouted one of the guards.
Jaune, for someone who barely bacls down from a fight, feels like they shouldn't start anything less they wouldn't get any information from Yang's informant.
"Yang, I think it's best we do as they say or else we don't get the bloody info at all" tried Jaune, but Yang was not having any of it.
"Don't worry Jaune, I got this." she assured him as she approached the guard and whispered something into his ear.
Whatever she said worked as the guards paled and ran to where their boss was.
Jaune was ammused to say the least "Impressive I suppose."
The Bombshell just smirked in reply and led him towards the bar where the two guards were talking to who seems to be their boss.
"Huh... big man..." Jaune thought.
"Hey Junior! Like what you did to the place!" Yang said in a cheerful voice.
"Blondie. You're here. Why?" he groaned.
"One, you owe me a drink, two I need information on anything regarding a dust shipment." stated Yang firmly.
"Drinks are a no. Your fault you threw me into the shelf. Info, forget it. My business won't be running until this place gets fixed up."
Yang was about to retort when they heard something slam on the counter.
Jaune's heavy revolver, with the rifleman's hand firmly grasping it with his finger on the trigger.
"Another blondie? I swear to Oum, your kind will be the death of me" Junior muttered.
"It'll happen very soon if you don't start bloody talking." Jaune threatened with a voice that could make hairs stand up.
The Club Owner just sighed in defeat "Fine, I hear from the sailors that there's this shipment coming to the docks."
"How big?" asked Yang.
"SDC big if that's what you mean." replied Junior.
Jaune nodded and holstered his revolver. "That'll do. Here," he said as he rose "here's a tip for bearing with her." he finished as he placed some 500 lien on the counter.
Yang winked at Junior as she followed Jaune out.
Upon exiting the building, she asked "Well, we now have that SDC shipment to check, should I call in the team?"
The Arc simply nodded as he walked away.
"I'll be looking at a weapon smith nearby, just ring me if you need me. I won't leave you Yanging." he said as Yang smiled at his developing humour.
The Keep, Vale
Jaune entered The Keep and kept an eye out for Mint.
Ever since he got his weapons, he always grew fond about how they managed to create a near replica of the original Baker rifle. Only difference was the loading mechanism which made it easier to load.
As he was approaching the counter, he noticed that there was no banging of metals which was unusual of The Keep as Mint would always be busy working on something.
Then, he rang the bell.
He was met with no response.
He rang it again, but was met with the same silence.
He opted for a third time but stopped as he ducked under a sword that swiped where his head would've been.
"What the fuck?!"
"I ain't selling the place ya hear?! Never!"
"Mint what the absolute fuck are you doing?"
"Jaune?"
"YES! Who else would wear a bloody rifleman's jacket?!" Jaune snapped as he came into eye contact with the mint-haired weapon master.
The would be assassin just scratched her head and then asked "Why are you here anyway?"
"I'm here to pick up that order. I'll be needing it sooner than I thought." The Arc replied as he dusted himself off.
Mint nodded and opened a shelf behind her and revealed a package.
"There." she said as she tossed the package towards Jaune who caught it.
"Thanks, and if you don't mind me asking, why the bloody hell did you try and chop me head off?" asked Jaune.
Mint merely muttered something about buyers and assholes, so Jaune shook it off as nothing for now.
He inspected the package in his hands and smirked.
Who said two blades were enough?
Near Vale Docks, Vale
Jaune arrived at the docks and spotted Yang, along with his team and the other folks of RWBY.
He jogged up to them and greeted.
"Hey guys. Is everyone set?"
"Yep."
"Ready."
"Absolutely."
Went the various responses.
Jaune nodded then began to pull a map out of his pouches.
"Alright listen up, we'll split up into pairs, Ruby and Weiss, take the South of the docks," he pointed to the area he menrioned on the map "Yang and Blake will take North West."
The members of team RWBY nodded as they went to their positions.
Jaune then addressed his own team "Nora, Ren, take the entrance, make sure no one escapes."
The pair nodded as they sped off before Jaune finally spoke to his partner. "Pyrrha, you and I take the East, it's the best place for sniper fire."
"But wouldn't it be better if we had Ren and Nora's back?" asked Pyrrha.
"We'll be providing supporting fire if anything goes wrong, the vantage point is also the fastest way to the middle."
The Mistral Champion nodded as she followed him towards the Eastern side of the docks.
Upon arriving at their position, Jaune pulled out his scroll and rang everyone in the joint team. "Everyone in position?"
A chorus of soft affirmatives responded and satisfied Jaune as he placed his scroll back.
Pyrrha used Milò to scope out anybody who would rob the ship while Jaune pulled out his spyglass.
Then, they saw them.
White Fang members, armed with all sorts of Dust fire arms.
Jaune felt sorry for Blake who always thought that the White Fang wouldn't stoop to this level.
However, before anything else could happen, Jaune heard a familliar voice.
"Hey! What's the hold up?! We're not exactly the most inconspicious theives at the moment, so why don't you filthy animals pick up the pace?!"
Roman Torchwick.
Before Jaune could get on his scroll to tell everyone to engage, Yang alereted him of a problem "Jaune! Blake is going for Torchwick! We have to do something!"
Jaune looked in panic as he looked through his spyglass once more and confirmed that Blake as indeed going for Roman.
"Pyrrha. On me." he ordered as the Champion came behind him as he began to leap towards the middle of the docks.
"Nobody move!" he heard Blake shout as White Fang began to surround her.
"Brothers of the White Fang! Why are you aiding this scum?!" she demanded as gentleman theif chuckled
"Oh kid you didn't get the memo?"
"What are you talking about?"
"The White Fang and I are going in on a joint venture together!"
Blakr tightened her hold him as she asked "Tell me what it is or I'll put and end to your little operation!"
Just then, three bullheads began to fly over the docks.
"I wouldn't exactly call it a little operation..."
Blake got distracted, and Torchwick took this opportunity as he fired cane to the ground which got Blake off her feet.
However, before any of the White Fang could lift a gun however, a deafening screech filled the air.
However, this seemed to effect only the Faunus.
Blake, who had her ears covered, spotted the disturbance which turned out to be Jaune who was blowing a...
dog whistle?
The grunts, who hadn't covered their ears doubled due to how the high pitch frequencies affected their senses.
Then Jaune stopped blowing before he pulled out a second whistle and blew into it.
This time it wasn't a dog whistle. It was a regular whistle that was signalling something.
"CHARGE!"
"FORWARD!"
Then all hell went loose as RWBY and JNPR began to attack.
The grunts who had recovered began to fire upon them.
Jaune raised his Baker rifle and aimed it at the first grunt he saw before squeezing the trigger.
The shot hit true and the Faunus lost consciousness.
Then, he saw Blake duel Torchwick and rushed to her aid, however, one of the bullheads landed and deployed more troops.
Jaune cursed as he reloaded his rifle before firing it again. "Nora! Take care of those bullheads!" he shouted as he parried with his sword when a grunt tried to attack him
"Okie dokie!" she beamed as she started firing grenades at the aircraft.
Another grunt tried to get Jaune from behind, but was taken out by Pyrrha.
The rifleman nodded at her before the two wreacked havoc on any grunt that dared to come near them.
As the heard began to thin out, Jaune sheathed his sword and pulled out an entirely new blade.
It was a short sword that had a hilt that was designed for his rifle. The same type of shortsword any rifleman was issued.
He attached it to his rifle before breaking off from Pyrrha and dashing towards Torchwick.
It was good timing too as Torchwick once again had her at his mercy.
Before he could do anything else, he heard a cocking and turned his head to see Jaune Arc with a face that could probably make a regular person piss himself.
"Green! Good to see you again! Funny seeing you here with Red again!"
The rifleman kept his eyes on Roman as he ordered Blake to help the others.
The cat Faunus did so without question.
"Well? What are you waiting for? Aren't you going to arrest me?"
"No. Not after that fiasco at the dust shop." he growled.
"Well isn't that cute? A hunter who'll actually go for the kill this time! How fo you wanna do this eh? We duel it with swords?"
Jaune lowered his rifle before dropping it.
"No. Hand to hand." he said in a very threatening tone.
Roman looked at him before smilling.
This was going to be interesting.
The gentleman theif dropped his cane as he they began to circle each other.
Jaune made the first move as he charged Torchwick and began to go for the head.
Roma dodged of course and tried to trip the Arc, only to find himself in pain as Jaune grabbed and slammed him right on the floor.
"Up... get up ya filthy bastard!" he shouted at the theif.
"Fucking... hell... this kid's just a new level..." thought Torchwick as he got up.
When he got up however, he felt a very numbing pain in his lower body.
Then he fell back down as he resisted the urge to scream.
For those who've watched Sharpe dueling anyone, I think you already know what our Rifleman did.
For those who do not know Sharpe, allow me to define it for you.
Roman took deep breaths as he still felt the pain of the Arc's boot kicking him right in the groin.
"Ngrhh... you... fight dirty..." he muttered.
"Aye," aknowledged Jaune as he brandished his revolver "and the fight's over. Your men are done for and I'm sure your flights are gone. So I advise yougive yourself some mercy."
"What happened to killing me?" asked Torchwick
Jaune replied "Oh I'm killing you alright, but my friend needs answers, and you're giving them to me."
Before Jaune could even approach Torchwick, he felt a pain in his stomach.
Then everything became blurry.
He started to stagger as Torchwick got up and greeted the person who stabbed Jaune in the gut.
"Better than never Neo." he said as he brushed himself off.
No response was heard as Jaune saw Torchwick start to walk off, albiet struggling due to his jewels being curshed.
He started to feel cold as he tried to go for his scroll.
"No. Let him bleed. He deserves it." he heard the thief say before his footsteps faded away.
"Jaune? Are you there? Jaune! Talk to me!" his scroll went off as Pyrrha tried to locate him.
Jaune couldn't get the focus to get his scroll however. He looked to his left and saw his rifle. It was too far for him to reach.
Then, he remembered he had his revolver.
Raising it to the air, he let off several shots into the sky until.

"What the fuck was that?" wondered Jaune. He began to will his eyes to open.
It bore fruit fortunately as he began to adjust to the light.
He started to cough up as pain began to fill his body.
"Ah fuck... bloody hell..." he muttered as he tried to move.
However his luck ran out as he felt that his movement was restricted.
"Jaune?" he heard Pyrrha.
"What... Pyrrha? What's happening? Where am I?" the Arc questioned weakly as he tried to find the source of the voice.
He found it a few seconds after and was met with a worried Pyrrha.
"You're in the infirmary. After you went to face Torchwick, I noticed that your Aura went from yellow green to red. We then heard your pistol and found you knocked out and bleeding..." she said, very solemnly.
"Argh... no wonder it hurts..." he muttered.
"What happened Jaune? Did Torchwick do this?" the Spartan asked.
Jaune shook his head "No. Someone named Neo if I remember correctly. Stabbed me in the gut when I was about to bring Torchwick to you guys."
"You shouldn't have fought him alone Jaune."
"Yes I did. I had him on his knees. Then a bugger just takes me from behind." he scowled.
"Jaune, you may have fought countless battle's against those French people you talk about, but if you keep going solo like that, it'll go wrong for you in the long run. Trust me." Pyrrha scolded lightly.
Jaune sighed and nodded "Fine... I guess your right... bloody hell I'm thirsty..."
His partner gave him water and helpedbhim drink it.
Eventually, the nurse said that he needed a few days rest and allowed him to go back to the dorms. He got dressed in a new shirt and his combat pants and was soon being helped by Pyrrha to the dorms
Upon arriving at the dorms, he was met by a worried NR and RWBY (with the W denying it).
"Jaune-Jaune! You're okay!" cheered Nora as she attempted to try and hug her leader, with Ren trying to stop her with all his might.
"How are you doing blondie?" asked Yang casually.
"I feel hungry, I can tell ya that." smirked Jaune.
"Hey Jaune, sorry for your wounds."
"I've had worse." he replied.
Ruby meekly stepped back as Blake began to speak "I think I speak for everyone when I say thank you Jaune."
"It was nothing..."
"Don't humble yourself too much Arc." said Weiss.
"I agree, you just saved my team from splitting up for the worse." added Ruby.
"Yeah, and, you could've died during that!" finished Yang.
Jaune turned red "Well... if you insist... if you ladies can excuse me," he said as Ren began to usher Nora inside the dorm "this old man needs his rest."
Pyrrha once more, helped Jaune limp to their room.
That night, Jaune slept peacefully while Ren had to suffer through three people snoring in the night.
Poor bastard...
