A/N: Since I haven't written in a while, I've kinda lost my touch and all that. I also took too long of a break so I deserve that, and I left you all which isn't fair to you. My apologies don't really amount to much anymore since I do it a lot, seeing as how I apologized with the other Author Notes on the other chapters a bunch. This chapter is short because I still need time to get back into the groove I once had, but I have to try for all the people who enjoy this story. Anyhow, if you want to tell me how good or bad this chapter is or what could be changed/improved, that would be nice so I know how to improve in the upcoming ones.
Izuku coughed up a bit of blood and grimaced at how bruised his stomach was, the one thing he was glad about was the fact that he had protected his face from getting any bruises. If anyone saw those then he would only get in bigger trouble later on which would cause even more pain. Katsuki gave one last blood-spewing kick to Izuku's torso and then picked up his bag. His fiery ruby eyes were wild as they looked upon Izuku's weak form and he snarled at the sight.
"So just because you 'attempted' to save me from one villain, YOU'RE suddenly better than me? You quirkless loser, if All Might hadn't stepped in you would've died right where you stood and I can guarantee that no one would've cared, not even your mom! You hear me!? I DIDN'T NEED YOUR HELP! I had that villain dancing in the palm of my hand, I was going to break out right then and there, but you ruined everything!"
Izuku's hair shadowed his eyes and his expression was non-existent, a silent tear fell from his face, small and weak just like him. Not that Katsuki and his followers would care. Katsuki turned around and walked off. His followers finished copying off of Izuku's stolen work for today, just like other times, and threw it on the ground while catching up to their leader. Katsuki was always mean to Izuku but ever since that incident, he was just berserk every time he saw him. 'If your quirkless ass ends up in UA, I'll make sure no one ever hears of you again.'
Izuku made sure to wait a couple of minutes before attempting to pick himself up off the ground. His eyes and expression were sad and downcast, while his form looked broken, though he tried to hide that in his walk. He slowly limp-walked over to his tossed homework and bent over to pick it up. The pain hurt. It hurt a lot. Bending alone shouldn't be hurting this much. Oh yeah, the bruises were there. He straightened back up and looked at it, the usual neat paper was now a crumbled and bent mess. At least they didn't scribble all over it this time unlike other times, so in Izuku's opinion, today was not all that bad and hopefully wouldn't get worse. He put the homework back into his bag and slowly sat down next to the fish tank that he seemed to be good friends with, the fish seemed to look up at him as if asking him for food since he always showed up. But all Izuku offered them was a view of his back, he didn't have anything to give them, and he probably wouldn't have anything to give them since his belongings were always messed with. He simply sat next to them and waited a minute more. After he felt like enough time had passed since the beating he had received, Izuku got up as slowly as he sat down and made his way inside the school, heading straight for the nurse's office which he was also good friends with. Not the nurse but the place itself. Once he had been checked out, he received a melted ice pack and was told to go back to class, not nicely told but forced to go back.
"I'm not paid enough to deal with qurikless kids, go back to class." The nurse obviously didn't like him and all the trouble he attracted.
Izuku slowly walked to class, not bothering to use an ice-pack that was warm and melted. He opened the door and interrupted the lesson that was going on. All his classmates stared at him with a bored expression while the teacher seemed mad that he had interrupted the lesson that no one was listening to. Izuku tried to inform the teacher where he had been, "Sorry sensei, I was at the nu-"
"I don't care where you were, and I don't care what you were doing. But you aren't allowed to interrupt a lesson whenever you feel like it. Sit down, you're to report to detention today after school."
Izuku didn't even argue, he wouldn't get anywhere if he did and it would only make the punishment worse. He sat down, got his materials out, and tried to follow what the teacher was teaching. When Katsuki slammed open the door and barged in, also interrupting the class.
"Bakugo, what caused you to be late?"
Katsuki glared at the teacher, "I didn't want to attend this shitty lesson, what else would have caused me to come in late?"
The teacher nodded and turned around to resume the lesson, "That's fine, just try to enjoy it a bit more and show up earlier next time. You're not punished so no worries."
Katsuki sat down at his desk and put his feet up on his desk. He looked at Izuku with a smirk and popped a few explosions from his palms, informing the green-haired boy that it wasn't over yet. Izuku gained a deeper sadness in his eyes after seeing the threat and good treatment, then turned his head to look out the window at the fluffy clouds in the sky. He would've liked it if it was raining to fit his mood, but it didn't even matter. After all, the quirkless shouldn't be able to have anything they want right? He'd be reminded of that after school again today.
