Thank you for all of the kind reviews and follows, it means a lot to me.
Kayo walked ahead of her bridesmaids and turned the corner of the sand dune, she looked up ahead where the aisle lay and stared straight into the eyes of her husband to be. The wedding march began, and she felt Jeff loop his arm around hers, she smiled and mouthed a silent thank you to him as he led her slowly forward onto the white cloth. Penelope and Natasha let go of the back of her dress and followed Kayo ahead of them passing smiling faces in the small crowd, the cameras clicked on both sides of the flower tunnel and they broke off at the end leaving Kayo to reach Scott alone, Jeff placed her hands in his son's then sat down beside Virgil and Natasha.
The vicar smiled as he came to the end of the formalities, "now, I believe the bride and groom have prepared their own vows?"
Scott nodded, "yes we have."
"Go ahead."
Scott turned to face Kayo and held her hands, "Kayo, when you joined our family, I saw someone who became not only a best friend but as you grew up a woman I wanted to share my life with. We've been through a lot," he winked, "but I promise, that forevermore, I will look out for you and never let anything happen to you."
"Thank you Scott," the vicar nodded, "Tanusha?"
Kayo cleared her throat and smiled at Scott tearfully, "I moved in with your family when I was a child, and from that day I've never looked back. Over the years with you, I've had such fun and I don't want that to end, even in our business," she heard the crowd murmur with laughs, "I want to share my life with you and I promise that I'll be by your side from this day forward until I die. Wow, I am turning this into mush. So I'll wrap this up by saying that for better and for worse, and in richness and poorness, although I don't think we need to worry about the latter," she felt Scott squeeze her hand, "I love you."
The vicar smiled, "do we have the rings?"
Alan felt Grandma nudge him, "they're right here," he got up eagerly and approached his brother.
Scott took the ring for Kayo, "thanks, Alan. Kayo Kyrano, with this ring, I ask you to be mine. Will you do me the honour of becoming my wife?"
Kayo gazed at the oyster pearl embedded within the silver band now on her finger, "I will, yes I will! Will you be my husband?"
Scott nodded eagerly, "yes."
"I now pronounce you both husband and wife, you may kiss the bride."
The brothers in the crowd whooped as Scott pulled Kayo into a kiss and Jeff stood up to clap as Penelope and Natasha grinned, Marion clapped standing beside Wayne and he smiled at her. Brains moved to the side and remotely took control of the robots on the island to begin the final decorating stage of the house ready for Kayo and Scott's reception party. The couple walked back up the aisle and up to FAB1 where Parker was waiting for them to take them the long way back to the island.
"Okay everyone, let's get back to the island," Jeff wrapped his arm around Alan's shoulders.
Natasha looked up at the beach path, "is the decorating done?"
"It should be," Brains smiled, "we did some work before coming out."
Natasha opened her front door for the others minus the bride and groom who had gone with Parker to the registrar office, "what's the plan now then?"
Virgil smiled, "pack up here and leave in Thunderbird 2, Dad will fly Thunderbird 1 home for Scott and Parker is giving the new couple a ride back to the house. We won't have long before they join us, so we need to get a move on."
Natasha nodded, "well Penny and I are done packing, I'll wait for you down here," she smiled and Virgil turned to the stairs.
"Back soon. Ten minutes guys!"
"So when Scott is absent, Virgil takes charge?" Natasha asked as Penelope walked over holding her bags.
"It looks that way," she laughed, "thank you for letting us stay here."
"My pleasure, I'm just glad it all worked out. I'm just going to grab some belongings."
Soon the group were back in Thunderbird 2 and Jeff took off in Thunderbird 1 leading the way home, Virgil looked over his shoulder at the large group of guests, smiling at the knowledge that the module was also full of people. The journey took no time at all and John took charge of leading their guests out of the hangar and up to the lounge leaving his brother to power down Thunderbird 2. Grandma walked into the kitchen with Tessa and brought out the cake, and upstairs, Natasha was helping the family put out the final wedding decorations.
"Is Parker on his way yet?" John asked tying a white bow to the balcony.
"They've just left the mainland," Penelope nodded, "is the confetti ready?"
"Yes."
Natasha grinned as she looped arms with Virgil, "the house looks amazing, shall we go outside to wait for the couple?"
"Let's go."
Parker landed FAB1 on Thunderbird 2's runway and he opened the door wide, "welcome home Mr and Mrs Tracy."
Scott smiled broadly as he helped Kayo our of the car, "thank you Parker. Well Kayo, shall we face the music?"
"I'm ready."
Kayo gasped as she stepped onto the poolside and looked up at the house where the family and guests were gathered clapping, Scott held her arm tightly and they walked under a rose covered arch into a flurry of rose petals and paper confetti.
"Congratulations Kayo," Natasha hugged Kayo tightly once the cheering had died down and the party moved up to the lounge.
"Thank you Nat, for everything, we wouldn't have been able to do the ceremony without your house," she laughed, "and your help too."
Scott grinned at the open lounge, "wow, I've never realised how big this room is."
"We needed to make space for your first dance," Sally patted Scott's shoulder, "Virgil?"
"The sooner we do it the better."
Parker opened the first bottle of champagne and filled the prepared glasses on the table, "to Scott and Kayo," he gave the couple their glasses then passed the others around.
Scott clinked his glass to Kayo's, "I love you."
"I love you too."
"Care to dance?"
Kayo nodded, "I practised, and now is as good a time as any," she chuckled as Scott led her to a space beside the piano which had been moved out onto the open platform above the patio, she tucked her stilettos underneath the piano deciding dancing barefoot would be easier and looked behind her spotting Virgil sit behind the instrument, "Virg?"
"Who do you think was asked to play the music for you?" He smirked as he flexed his fingers, "are you two ready?"
Scott placed his hand on Kayo's back, "of course."
Kayo smiled gazing into her husband's eyes as they waltzed in the space beside the piano and she listened to Virgil singing for them amongst the cheers and clapping as she twirled, she felt Scott tip her back on the final notes and pulled his face gently towards her to press a kiss to his lips, "nailed it," she whispered and Scott smiled before kissing her again.
Natasha rested her hand on Virgil's shoulder, "that was so lovely."
Virgil nodded, "I'm really happy for them, she's perfect for him no matter how much they've clashed in the past."
The wedding party began, and Kayo went round to all of her guests as people got comfortable around the house, Jeff sat with Colonel Casey down on the patio and Virgil sat with Natasha and Gordon chatting.
"Marion, thank you for coming," Scott hugged her tightly.
"Congratulations Scott, thanks for inviting me, I wouldn't have missed this."
Scott presented Kayo, "I'm not sure you two have actually met."
Kayo smiled, "pleased to meet you, you're the woman who attacked Scott with a mechanical suit right?"
Marion cleared her throat uncomfortably, "had I known initially he was there to help me, I wouldn't have done that."
"Between you and me, I've thought about doing that a lot," Kayo smirked at Scott beside her.
"There are a lot of people here I don't know Scott. Who is that with Virgil?"
"That's Natasha, his girlfriend, coming up to six months they've been together now."
"The man you were beside was Wayne Rigby," Kayo added.
Marion nodded, "yes, I've met him within the GDF. Who is that with John?"
"That's Ridley O'Bannon, she was working on project Eden. Now she works in the GDF's space division," Scott smiled topping up his and Kayo's champagne glasses, "now, is this a normal place to meet?"
Marion smiled, "yes, it's much more relaxing."
Kayo kissed Scott's cheek, "I'm going to talk to John."
Marion watched her go then sat down on the sofa, "I could never get between you two could I?"
Scott smiled sympathetically as he sat beside her, "I don't want to say it but..."
"No, I know."
"I've loved her for a very long time," he tapped his feet absentmindedly, "umm. How are you in general?"
"Very well thank you, this is the most exciting thing I've gone to in months. We've been busy with office work rather than nuclear engineering work."
"You'll get something."
John hugged Kayo tightly then sat back against the sofa, "needed a break from the spotlight?"
"Not just yet."
Ridley grinned, "congratulations Kayo, John tells me you never thought you'd get married. Nonsense I say."
"No he's not wrong, I never thought I'd meet the right person or someone who would want to settle with me if I'm honest. But Scott, he's just, well he's just perfect."
John smirked, "not as a brother, you dodged that."
"But now I really have gained four brothers," Kayo snapped back with a laugh, "are you going to make my life hell then?"
"Nope leave that to Alan and Gordon."
"They're not that bad, I found Alan to be very charming on Eden," Ridley shrugged, "he was useful too."
"To you yes, but not on this island."
"Now you're being harsh John Tracy."
Scott cleared his throat, "could we move down to the patio for a moment please?"
Kayo frowned, "what is he doing?"
Virgil smiled as he caught Kayo's eye, "you'll love this, Kayo."
"It's time to give my wedding present to my wife."
The group moved down to the decking as Scott had requested, and Virgil and Natasha set down two chairs decorated with white bows beside each other, "there."
Scott picked up his guitar from the study and sat down on one of the chairs, "thanks, Virgil."
Kayo sat down on the chair beside him, "what's this?"
"Your present," he tuned up the guitar and balanced it across his knees, the guests and family sat down at the patio tables and John turned his phone sideways to film his brother, the music began and Kayo smiled as soon as she recognised the song then Scott began to sing.
"Saying "I love you"
Is not the words I want to hear from you,
It's not that I want you not to say, but if you only knew,
How easy,
It would be to show me how you feel.
More than words
Is all you have to do to make it real,
Then you wouldn't have to say that you love me,
'Cause I'd already know."
Scott smiled strumming rhythmically and Kayo turned to look out at the family with a laugh of pure love, Virgil winked crossing his arms and Natasha raised an eyebrow at him in question.
"I taught him how to play this."
"Ah I see," Natasha chuckled hugging his arm, "proud of your student?"
"I'll mark him when he finishes."
Kayo rubbed Scott's knee as he began the next verse continuing to smile as he sang, and by the time the song came to an end tears were rolling down her cheeks, "thank you Scott, I love that song."
"You're welcome sweetheart," he kissed her passionately as their audience clapped again and he began to put the guitar down.
"Wait, not yet," she held his hand on the strings.
"FAB, but I am hungry."
Kayo chuckled, "fine we'll eat first."
The couple sat down at the main table and Jeff stood up clearing his throat to get the party's attention who were topping up glasses.
"You were always like a daughter to me Kayo, but today I want you to know that my boys and I will always be here for you. So I'd like to raise a toast, to Kayo and Scott."
"Cheers!"
Scott smiled at Kayo beside him and tapped his glass to hers, "thanks dad, and my vows kinda summarised my speech so I'll just say from this day on I promise to love you as long as I live."
Virgil stood up, "and as the best man, I should say something. You've always been my idol Scott, but today you've gone from that to more. Kayo, you couldn't be with someone more dedicated and devoted to you than you are with Scott, and I wish you both the best in life. We're always going to be right behind you as a family, and welcome to the Tracy family."
"Thanks, Virgil."
Lady Penelope stood up, "I don't really have a speech prepared which really isn't like me as you all know," she smiled at the chuckles in the audience, "but I've known this family for a long time, and I can promise that not only will they look out for both of you but they will always protect you, and so will I."
"Thanks Lady Penelope," Scott smiled down at the table at her, "thank you all so much for coming and I hope you like the seating plan as there wasn't much thought behind it."
"As long as the food serving is efficient!" Gordon called out loudly.
"It's a buffet Gordon, help yourself," Scott shouted back then winced as Kayo poked him in the hip.
The day slowly turned into the evening, but the wedding celebration was still in full swing, and Gordon was entertaining the guests with karaoke which Penelope was thoroughly enjoying. Kayo walked down to the patio where Virgil and Natasha were talking to John and Ridley, she smiled taking a seat beside her brother and John topped up her champagne glass.
"Enjoying yourself Kayo?" Virgil asked.
"This is my best day ever," she stole Virgil's attention away from the others and smiled, "thank you so much for playing our first dance."
"Least I could do," he replied smugly, "did you hear any mistakes?"
"I didn't," Kayo giggled, "it was a really lovely thing to do for us."
"Anytime," Virgil kissed Kayo's cheek gently, "where is Scott anyway?"
"Talking to your father."
"Is this the wedding day you planned?"
"I've never dreamed of a perfect wedding, is this how weddings usually turn out?"
"You're asking the wrong person little sister, this is my first too. What time is my brother whisking you off to your honeymoon?"
Kayo shook her head, "he's keeping me in the dark, I don't even know where we're going. He told me to pack for a holiday so I've packed everything which covers that."
Natasha tapped Virgil's arm, "I'll see you in a bit sweetheart."
"FAB."
John smirked at Ridley, then spotting his brother raising an eyebrow at him, cleared his throat, "nothing Virgil, don't worry."
"What did you say to her?"
"Don't worry yourself, like your brother said," Ridley ran her fingers through her short hair with a grin, "John, you haven't introduced me to your aquanaut yet."
"Are you sure you want to meet him? He practically murdered that song just then."
Virgil watched them leave the patio into the kitchen and turned back to face Kayo, "they're up to something."
"Hmm?"
"The space folk."
"I doubt that," she got up, "I'm going to find my husband," she giggled, "husband, that sounds so weird."
Virgil began to walk round to the bar when Natasha ran up to him with a broad smile on her face, "Nat?"
"I've been offered a job."
"You have a job, the acting?"
"Not anymore, I quit yesterday morning."
"What?"
"Virgil," she led him over to the swing bench and sat down, "when I saved your life the other month and we were in the hospital, I observed those in need and I remembered the time I was a volunteer paramedic. I want to join the GDF's medic crew and help people again."
Virgil's face sorrowed, "will I still get to see you?"
"Of course you will, we may even work together occasionally," she paused, "the acting was fun and it's how we met, but that was my first real acting job in months, almost a year. The majority of the time I play one scene and then nothing for a few months," she smiled running her finger along the rim of her glass, "the money is okay but it's not sustainable. Casey is offering me a chance to be a full time member where I can save lives, I can't join your business but I can aid elsewhere. What do you think?"
Virgil took her hands in his and met her gaze, "is this really what you want?"
Natasha nodded, "I've made my choice, do you think it's the right one?"
"As long as you're happy."
"I will be."
"When do you start?"
"Next month, to give me a chance to wrap anything up before Christmas."
"Congratulations," he wrapped his arms around her smiling as her chin rested on his shoulder and he hugged her tightly, "I'll miss seeing you in the movies."
Natasha chuckled into his neck, "I'll be going to the premiere of the film you rescued me for," she sat back as he began to rock the chair to and fro gently, "I owe your brother a ticket too. Should I just invite all of you as plus fives?"
Virgil smiled, "Alan won't forgive you if you don't."
"I don't have much of a choice then do I?"
Virgil looked up at the house as the sound of his piano caught his ear, "that better be one of my brothers or there's going to be trouble."
Natasha smirked, "what's the punishment?"
"I hope you won't need to find out," he got up taking Natasha's hand, "come on."
They walked up the stairs to the middle level of the house and joined the group already in there watching the groom playing the piano for his wife seated beside him.
"Ah, should've known."
Gordon grinned bounding up to Virgil, "it was a dare of sorts."
"It's always you behind things like this."
Penelope walked over and looped her arm around Gordon's, "it wasn't a dare, it was persuasive encouragement. No one was at the piano, it was decorated in roses and we merely suggested Scott should perform his showstopper."
Natasha smiled, "he certainly is."
Scott caught their eye and rounded off the piece energetically before sharing a kiss with Kayo to applause and left the piano, "where have you guys been?"
"Down by the pool, it's cooler," Virgil shrugged, "have you been entertaining?"
"Just that one piece," he slurred.
"You're not leaving for the honeymoon tonight right?"
Scott shook his head, "dad's grounded me, says I've had too much to drink. I wasn't going to leave tonight anyway."
Kayo squeezed his waist, "no way would I let you fly tonight either. Has anyone seen Alan?"
Gordon looked around expecting to see him beside him, "not since karaoke. You should have done it Virgil!"
"No thanks, I've done my musical input tonight thanks."
"I'm going to find him, see you later," Kayo turned and walked down the steps from the lounge, her dress billowing out behind her.
Scott swooned, "the things she does to me."
"Yeah, too much information big brother," Gordon patted his shoulder.
Sally suddenly appeared and hugged Natasha tightly, "I've just heard the news from Casey, that's wonderful Nat!"
Natasha laughed, "I've only just said yes, she's not going around telling people is she?"
"No no, but no one can keep a secret away from Grandma Tracy. I myself used to be a doctor," she wrapped an arm around her shoulders pulling her away from the boys.
"Bye Nat," Virgil laughed then turned to see Scott frowning at him, "what?"
"What news Virgil?"
"It's good news, not frown-making news. Natasha has been offered a job in the GDF."
"What?"
"Shhh Scott, it's fine, it's within their medic crew."
"But the GDF, you know how I feel about them? I don't like Marion being with them but there's not much I can do about that, I got her the job."
"What's your real problem Scott?" Virgil crossed his arms as he spotted Marion in his peripheral vision.
"We've had problems in the past working with the GDF."
"Yes and now that dad is back, he won't let them dodge anything. Relax okay? This is what Natasha wants."
Scott sighed, "alright. I think I need some air."
Kayo found Alan at the bottom of the garden, "hey sprout."
"Hi Mrs Tracy."
"Whoa, name calling?"
Alan sighed turning to face her, "why Scott?"
"What do you mean?"
"Nothing, I guess it was inevitable really."
Kayo looked up at the sky with a tut, "Alan, I've always liked you but only as a little brother. I know we're close but there are still five years between us, whereas with Scott it's only two," she wrapped her arm around him, "it was always going to be him. We're still buddies right?"
Alan shrugged, "well we're now siblings, by law anyway, so I guess so."
"Alan, you can't blame me and it wouldn't be a good idea if you did. The pool is right behind us."
"You don't want me to mess they dress up."
"I'd mess up your suit without getting a drop of water on myself."
Alan smirked at her, "FAB. Can I at least have a proper hug from you?"
Kayo wrapped her arms around the youngest and pressed a kiss into his hair, "there, will that suffice?"
Alan nodded as he let her go, "has Scott embarrassed himself yet?"
"Not yet, but you better stop him before he starts on you lot," she pushed him ahead of her with a grin and spotted Scott chatting to Jeff and Wayne Rigby.
Candles and lanterns glowed around the deck and patio where everyone had moved out onto finishing off the last of the food and emptying bottles, Kayo sat beside Scott on the steps leading down to the pool listening to him playing the guitar for her and Gordon had changed out of his wedding outfit into his swim shorts to enjoy an evening dip. Sally looked at the time and wished everyone a good night along with Jeff and Tessa while the remaining guests stayed outside minus two who had disappeared.
"Thank you for a great day Scott," Kayo sighed resting her head against his arm, "it's been amazing."
"I couldn't have imagined it going any better," he smiled back at her, "when do you want it to end?"
"Never, or at least until we're the last ones still awake," she shrugged as Scott chuckled, then under the stars, kissed him gently.
Epilogue
Jeff hopped down to the ground from Thunderbird 1 and joined his sons, "I hope Scott won't think I'm going after his job."
Virgil smiled as he checked his jaws of life, "he'll be back from his honeymoon tonight. I hope he and Kayo have enjoyed Bora Bora. They'll be so tanned," he looked over to where Gordon was talking to the small crowd, "let's get to work."
The Tracys returned to the island not long after the couple themselves had, Scott watched his ship land beneath the pool and smiled as he felt Kayo's arm slip around his waist, he hugged her close and turned to wait for his brothers, he didn't have to wait long and soon his wife was replaced by three sets of arms.
"Welcome back Scott," Virgil hugged him tightly, "dad was going to take Thunderbird 1 from you."
"Thanks Virgil. How's Natasha?"
"Settled in with the GDF, it was her first day last week, she loves it."
"For now."
"Don't be like that, they're not all bad there. Not to mention Marion and Wayne are looking out for her."
"Ah yes, the new GDF couple," Scott smirked, "none of us expected that at the wedding."
"How was Bora Bora?" Gordon asked hopping up onto a stool.
"Very hot but amazing," Kayo grinned admiring her tan, "we found lots of secret hideaways."
"It's good to have you back."
"It's good to be back, I can't wait to get going on missions with my new wife," Scott hugged Kayo tightly again and the brothers smiled.
