Hellloo!
I hope you are all well and I am sending you lots of hugs and kisses during this difficult time.
Anyway, I said I would evaluate whether to continue with The Thornton Tales at the end of this story and it seems that the public have spoken, or in this case, have not spoken – haha!
Oh dear! It appears that this story/idea has not been popular at all, which is a shame, as I was so excited to continue, as I had almost 40 ideas for short stories/one-shots to publish under The Thornton Tales. But it seems that readers are not as equally keen as I am, which is fine, as we cannot always get it right and make people happy.
I am not sure what this issue was, whether people did not like this specific story or my overall idea for the series. Or maybe people do not like the smut. It was my first-time writing smut ever, so maybe people found it over the top of offensive. Or worst of all, maybe people do not like my writing style – oh dear!
Anyway, I am assuming people have not enjoyed it, which is disappointing, but hey-ho. What I will do is assume that people are not interested in me continuing it and I will shelve it for now and may continue in the future, depending on how things go, as there is not much point me spending my creative time and energy on a series that people are not liking.
However, I may be wrong and people have enjoyed it, but just have either felt too shy to comment/follow or maybe people have been too busy/preoccupied to read/comment if they are engrossed with getting back to normality. If this is the case, then do let me know and if I get enough interest, I can potentially continue.
For those of you who do not wish to comment to give feedback about whether you want it to continue or not, I have made a short survey which should only take about 30 seconds to complete and is totally anonymous, however, fanfic will not let me include the link - sorry! Ahh, how annoying. So, I've published it as a comment under this chapter. :)
