The time has come!

We're about to see Class 1-A and 1-B meet for the first time in their Heroic Studies class, with all the hijinks that could possibly entail! Though before that, I promised all of you that the first scene of this chapter would detail how everyone's quirks have evolved, which you'll soon be seeing in the upcoming fights.

Speaking of the quirk evolutions, here's a few important details. I made them based on what could be realistic extensions, had some of the stronger canon quirks help me gauge a safe power level to avoid making them end up OP, and I made sure there was enough of an addition that they weren't just "same if stronger" in nature.

Also, since Kan's quirk evolution won't be mentioned like his student's quirks will? I'll share his, and Aizawa's again, here real quick. Aizawa's Erasure now works by making contact once and will last on everyone he looks at until he blinks, so he only needs eye contact to activate its effect on someone. For Kan, he now has an unlimited supply of blood, and can't die from blood loss.

Now that I've covered all of those details, let's get this chapter started!

[Chapter 8 - Fated Rivalry, Part 1]

While the many students of U.A. were going home for the day? Kan and Aizawa were shown in the faculty room.

At the moment, Kan was looking over the notes and results that Aizawa detailed for Class 1-A's quirk test. The latter showed how many tests they were able to use their quirk on and the scores on said tests compared to their test from Junior High.

"Honestly, I'm not too surprised you're more concerned about us needing to manage their strength. Since we had All Might help make our new entrance exam, Nezu said the students who passed might not be like those we've had before." Kan admitted.

"In a sense... all of them are strong contenders to become the new Number 1 Hero after he finally retires. Not sure if that should excite me, or terrify me..." Aizawa sighed.

The two both paused at that.

"OK, moving on. It's time for the rundown of our students' quirks and abilities. " He continued.

He took a moment to clear his throat, then he began.

"Tsuyu Asui - Quirk: Frog"
Gives her the powers of a Frog, theorized to have the power of all non-mythical frog species. Current abilities include a long prehensile tongue, a powerful leap, storing objects in her stomach for her to spit out later, and secreting a toxic mucus that acts as a paralytic agent in large enough amounts. The union of her Frog and Human DNA also gives her a special set of glands that can store water her skin absorbs, which she can belch out, even mix with her mucus to use it at long-range as large globs. She has sensitivity to the cold, but isn't cold-blooded, nor will she risk going into hibernation from it.

"Tamaki Amajiki - Quirk: Manifest"
Allows him to manifest certain traits based on what he's eaten in the past 24 hours, including inorganic objects this quirk allows him to safely eat without side effects. Eating a takoyaki, his usual meal, can manifest as octopus muscles in his arm or as actual octopus tentacles as the default example. Currently, he seems to have trouble manifesting more than one trait at a time.

"Tenya Iida - Quirk: Engine"
Uses the engine-like protrusions on his legs to accelerate, provided he's properly fueled them with the citric acid of Orange Juice beforehand. The engines will regrow if removed by any means, and carbonated drinks risk stalling them. The maximum speed of his engines goes up to what he calls Ninth Gear, and can hit maximum speed for a brief moment using a technique called "Recipro Burst", which qualifies as a Special Move.

"Ochaco Uraraka - Quirk: Zero Gravity"
The pads on her fingers allow her to make an object float like it's in Zero-G conditions, though said object can potentially leave Earth's atmosphere if she lets it continuously fly for long enough. Objects under this effect can be moved by motioning her hands in the direction she wishes to move them, but will move slowly if they're motionless beforehand, making existing speed important. Overuse of her quirk's weight limit or using it on herself causes nausea, and can lead to her throwing up if she overdoes it.

"Denki Kaminari - Quirk: Electrification"
Allows him to produce and manipulate electricity that he can aim the discharges of by firing them off as bolts. He has a voltage limit to how strong he can safely make his electricity, and if he goes over it? He will be limited to 1% of his maximum voltage limit and be left sluggish in both his speed and overall mobility until his body recovers.

"Ibara Shiozaki - Quirk: Vines"
She can manipulate the vines on her hair however she pleases. Her body also has the benefit of a plant's physiology, allowing her to stay nourished with just sunlight and water, with the former also replenishing her stamina while exposed to it. She can also dig her vines into the ground, and manipulate certain plants by having her vines touch their roots like a mushroom's mycelium.

"Mezo Shoji - Quirk: Dupli-Arms"
Has six arms that are like an Octopus', including the raw muscle and regenerative abilities, with all six arms being capable of turning into sensory organs. These sensory organs can have certain senses a Human can't, though if he has multiples of one such organ, like an eye? They can only have tone advanced sense, and won't be able to change it until he makes them disappear.

"Kyoka Jiro - Quirk: Earphone Jack"
Gives her organic headphone jacks from her earlobes that can't be cut off, though can be damaged. These jacks can produce any sound, though only one at a time, depending on what she's thinking. Her heartbeat is the strongest when it comes to pure offensive strength. The sounds she can emit are released not unlike Present Mic's, but trade overall power for greater versatility. She can also hear certain things that others can't, including through walls. She can get surprised by loud sounds if caught off-guard, though her jacks prevent her from going deaf.

"Hanta Sero - Quirk: Tape"
He has tape dispensers for elbows, which fire off sticky tape he can use in various ways. His amount of tape is unlimited, but if he overuses it, then his arms will get dry and risk dehydration in serious cases. His elbows also have tape cutters that can let him split his tape into strands that are as strong and sticky as normally, but at the cost of lowered accuracy.

"Pony Tsunotori - Quirk: Horn Cannon"
She can fire off her horns, which regrow instantly, from her head and control all of them telekinetically, but loses her link to them if they're hit by enough force. Her horns are made of some kind of super keratin and hard to break. While indirectly, her quirk also gives her all the powers of an equine, mostly as heightened stamina, strength, and the ability to run on all fours.

"Setsuna Tokage - Quirk: Lizard Tail Splitter"
Her body can split into pieces, with the current limit being around 20, which also makes her body immune to slash attacks. If she loses part of her body, it will regrow instantly. Said regeneration is strong enough that she can regrow her head or a vital organ, but it drains her stamina, and has the same risk as Recovery Girl's healing potentially killing someone if they don't have enough stamina.

"Mirio Togata - Quirk: Permeation"
He can turn intangible, but is unable to see, hear, or breathe if parts of his head related to those process are all phasing through a solid object. While within a solid object, he has some form of awareness to what's around him, but can't differentiate what he senses under these conditions unless he sees them in advance.

"Fumikage Tokoyami - Quirk: Dark Shadow"
He has a shadow-like monster inside him that has morphable arms, and has its power influenced by the amount of light or darkness present. Light makes it weaker yet more controlled, while darkness makes it stronger, yet risks both it and Tokoyami being driven by pure instinct and anger if the right trigger sets him off.

"Shoto Todoroki - Quirk: Half-Cold Hot-Hot"
His right side makes ice while his left side makes fire, and he's able to use both at will, though can't use both at their max potential when doing so. Using one side without the other regulating his body temperature can also risk giving him frostbite or making him overheat, and his reactions imply his fire side seems to be more dangerous to use. His ice can be made into shapes, while his fire can sacrifice its range to burn hot enough that it turns blue.

"Nejire Hado - Quirk: Wave Motion"
She can emit fast moving bursts of energy that are made from using up her stamina, which is unusually high to compensate for this. For reasons unknown, the energy comes out in the form of spirals, which she claims isn't a stylistic choice of hers.

"Katsuki Bakugo - Quirk: Explosion"
He releases sweat from his arms to his palms that's like nitroglycerin, which he has an endless amount of, and can only be dehydrated if he doesn't properly hydrate himself by drinking fluids. His body is also immune to any kind of explosion, fire, and heat. If he releases an explosion bigger than the current limits of his arm muscles, then he won't be able to release any more until his sweat glands catch up to his skin.

"Juzo Honenuki - Quirk: Softening"
He can make the objects he touches become soft, rubbery, and/or bouncy for some substances. For others, it will become like mud, and he can manipulate it to a degree similar to Pixie Bob's Earthflow, which he can also swim through. While swimming through such, he can breathe to a limited degree due to the small amount of oxygen, and see at the same rate as swimming underwater without goggles on.

"Izuku Midoriya - Quirk: Overflow"
He can empower any area on his body by transferring kinetic energy to it, though he can only use 5% of his quirk's maximum power and its limited to the force his limbs can release. His power is strong enough that it was able to destroy the Zero Pointer during the entrance exam.

"Momo Yaoyorozu - Quirk: Creation"
She can make any object by using the lipids stored in her body as a cost to make an object from her skin. More complex items, such as a gun, require her to fully understand how they work to properly use, though any of her items can be made out of a different material(s), such as making a cannon out of glass.

"Reiko Yanagi - Quirk: Poltergeist"
She can telekinetically move objects, without showing any signs of it or straining her mind, but only if they weigh no more than 100kg. She's also heavily resistant to all blunt attacks and quirks, likely from her ghostly appearance.

Aizawa let out a deep breath as his finished.

"And that's everyone in Class 1-A." He stated.

"Once again... I'm reminded of how much harder our jobs are because of the complexity in Seventh Generation quirks." Kan sighed.

He let out a small breath.

"Well, guess it's my turn now." He continued.

Aizawa let out an annoyed sigh in response.

"Mina Ashido - Quirk: Acid"
She can release acid from her skin, and is immune to poisons herself. While she can get sick, it can't be from something viral or bacterial in nature, and she still has an immune system to fight such things off. Fitting her appearance, she's only affected by 90% of Earth's gravity.

"Yosetsu Awase - Quirk: Weld"
He can link two or more objects together, provided they're in his line of sight and touching. He can also do this through physical contact if it's through an object he's holding himself. The objects in question need to be solid, or at least in a solid state, but will release the bond if the object in question, like ice, was to become a liquid or a gas.

"Sen Kaibara - Quirk: Gyrate"
He can rotate parts of his body like a drill, or spin like a drill as a whole, but much faster. He is unable to become dizzy as a result. His spinning can let him easily dig through the right surfaces, and bypass certain defenses.

"Togaru Kamakiri - Quirk: Razor Sharp"
He can create unbreakable blades from anywhere on his body, or sharpen an existing body part to be like a blade, like making his fingers into claws. These blades have a toughness not unlike diamonds, but this doesn't translate into strength. He's quite aggressive due to having traits like a Mantis, making him eager to fight due to predatory instincts.

"Eijiro Kirishima - Quirk: Hardening"
He can make his entire body stone-like, which gives him incredible durability and defensive power that can negate the impact and/or effects of certain attacks or powers. His hardened body can't receive any permanent or lasting damage, like broken bones, but he can still feel the pain left by attacks, or have his defenses broken from a blow with the right force. His hardened state also has a limit before it will be forcefully undone.

"Itsuka Kendo - Quirk: Big Fist"
Her hands can make themselves as big as her overall height, and she can control their strength to the point she can focus her power to one spot or be gentle enough to pick up a pencil without breaking it. Physical damage her hands receive, including amputation, in their larger state doesn't transfer to their usual size. Her body also shows what looks like a form of chi manipulation in her attacks.

"Yui Kodai - Quirk: Size"
She can make any object shrink or grow in size, with the resulting size change depending on her thoughts, and can make one or more object's size change swap to the other by clapping her hands after doing so. It's also possible for her to release the effects on specific resized objects, rather than releasing it on all of them by default.

"Kinoko Komori - Quirk: Mushroom"
Her body is like that of a mushroom's, being able to ingrain herself into the ground and release spores that can affect anyone besides herself, which can then grow into mushrooms that are capable of growing in places such as someone's throat. If someone touches her, she can slightly poisoned them if she chooses to, but she's unable to poison them at a lethal level.

"Jurota Shishida - Quirk: Beast"
He can transform part, or all of his body, into that of a beastly form. His transformed state is capable of using the powers of various mammals. The range of what abilities he can use is unknown, but it's believed to be limited to mammals that live on land and aren't fictional in origin.

"Hitoshi Shinso - Quirk: Brainwashing"
He can brainwash one or more people if he asks a question, and they respond with either words or certain verbal responses aimed directly at him, and then give them orders to a certain level. His quirk won't work if he can't finish what he's saying, as otherwise the first stage of his quirk won't activate, and the effects will disperse if the brainwashed target gets jostled.

"Nirengeki Shoda - Quirk: Twin Impact"
He's able to make anything he does, or what someone does within his gaze, have a second use at a stronger level. Despite the quirk's name, it isn't limited to just impacts or a reaction after a first use that this quirk effects, but he himself isn't aware of this due to his insecurities acting as a self-limitation.

"Kosei Tsuburaba - Quirk: Solid Air"
He uses the air in his lungs to make solid shapes with it. Oxygen manifests as defensive constructs, while carbon dioxide manifests as offensive constructs. The former can leave him winded or suffocate him, while the latter can risk oxygen poisoning. He also needs to have ample air in his lungs to properly use his quirk.

"Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu - Quirk: Steel"
He can make his whole body like any metal, though he has to understand the properties of the metal he's coating his body with, and he can suffer from metal fatigue if he overuses his quirk. The main difference between his quirk and Kirishima's is his focuses more on offense and bypassing defenses.

"Himiko Haimawari - Quirk: Astral Force"
She's capable of manipulating spatial fields around her, as long as it's in a way that's within reach of her hands and feet, and can be done in a way related to grabbing, pulling, pushing, or a mixture of the three. While she can't use her quirk on people or animals, she can use it on plants.

"Manga Fukidashi - Quirk: Comic"
He can turn words or sound effects, with onomatopoeia being the strongest, into a physical form that will replicate the effects of whatever that word means. His body, despite being able to achieve the functions that require a neck, acts like it doesn't have one when it comes to physical contact directed towards it. His speech bubble head also makes is so the only sense of his that can be truly attacked is his vision, and only via a veil.

"Kojiro Bondo - Quirk: Cemedine"
He can fire off a glue-like substance from his "eyes" or mouth that can become any kind of glue before being fired, though unless he has the right food or liquids beforehand? It will be melt when exposed to high heat, heavy rain, or bodies of water. He can't be blinded by conventional means, smells similar to a snake due to lacking a nose, and hears through a means other than sound, but neither he nor any quirk specialists know how he does this.

"Minoru Mineta - Quirk: Pop Off"
His head is full of grapes he can pull off, which then regrow just as fast, and stick them to anything. The amount he can pull off is equal to the carbohydrates and triglycerides stored in his body, and will stop coming off if he pulls off too many. How long the grapes will stay sticky for varies, and he can either bounce off them or make them stick to himself, but they will only stick to anyone and anything else. The grapes can also be released if he covers his mouth, or just keeps it closed, and breathes out to make them all fire off randomly.

"Neito Monoma - Quirk: Copy"
He can copy the quirks of whoever he touches, even if it's just the tips of their hair. He can store up to 7 quirks for 10 minutes, and use three at once, though how he uses them depends on which types he copies. He can use three Emitters without any restrictions, a Transformation will limit him to either two Emitters or a second Transformation-type that properly links to the first, and a Mutant quirk will limit him to only a single Emitter and a Transformation-type quirk that properly links to the Mutant-type quirk.

"Inasa Yoarashi - Quirk: Whirlwind"
He can generate wind currents around him and use them to fly, which also allows him to require less air if he enters a higher altitude. This wind can be used at a faint level to locate people in a way that quirks that giving tracking abilities or heightened senses may not noticed. Said winds can also clean an area's air, but they can't cure someone of toxic air they've breathed. While he can use his quirk if immobile, it will be weakened unless he's capable of movement when using it.

"Hiryu Rin - Quirk: Scales"
He can generate the scales of a Dragon on parts of his body, most often his arms, and has some Dragon traits tied to both the western and eastern variants. The scales he forms will also generate a "reverse scale" that, if attacked, will release a kickback at the attacker. This scale's placement is random, and he has no say over where it will appear.

After Kan finished, Aizawa took a moment to let some of the quirks he just heard about sink in.

"This year's classes aren't going to be like any class we've had before, aren't they?" He realized.

"Most likely." Kan confirmed.

Both of them wished for a brief moment to relax, and lucky for them? Their wish was granted as three students from Class 1-J knocked on the door.

"Yes?" They both answered.

The Business Course student with the glasses, alongside with a student who had dark blue hair and somewhat resembled a male version of Jiro if she had swirls on her cheeks in place of her ear jacks, and a doughy student with blonde hair in a beehive style walked into the room.

"Sorry if we're interrupting anything." The one with glasses apologized.

"Not at all. If anything, this timing is perfect for us, as we needed a break from what we were just discussing." Aizawa replied.

"Do you three need something?" Kan inquired.

"Yes, we wanted to see if we could look at the info for the Third Years in the Hero Course so our class could do some marketing practice." The blonde kid answered.

Kan pointed to a shelf.

"Third row, and make sure you copy the files using the scanner." He answered.

"Thank you." The swirly cheek kid replied.

All of them walked over to decide on which files to copy, and once they did that and left, the two pros resumed talking about their students.

"Before anything else? We should figure out how much about heroism the four who are the children or relatives of pros know." Aizawa suggested.

"Right, especially for Todoroki." Kan agreed.

It would be hours before either of them would finish their work for the day.

The second day of school soon arrived, and Iida soon entered his classroom.

"Oh, hey Iida!" Honenuki greeted.

"Hmm?" Iida said, looking his way.

Sitting by Pony's desk was Honenuki and Pony herself, who currently had a notebook with what he assumed was the English language written as her notes.

"Ah, good morning you two. I assume you're helping Pony work on her Japanese?" He greeted.

"That, and helping her learn how school in Japan is different from what she knows from the states. Apparently, where a class is tied to the students here, America ties a class to the teachers, and each period has a different class." Honenuki confirmed, sharing such a detail.

"Really?" Iida asked, looking curious.

Pony rubbed her head, feeling bashful.

"Yeah, I... also surprised teacher is same all years. At home? New teacher for each year." Pony answered.

"Quite the difference in cultures. I'm curious to know how America's heroes work." He said with interest.

"That easy, my mom is pro hero back home." Pony smiled.

Just as Iida was about to ask, being the son and brother of pro heroes, Honenuki cleared his throat. Both of them turned to look at him.

"As exciting as that might be? I need you two to hold that thought for now." He stated.

He looked at Pony.

"Remember the homework I gave you before we left the other day?" Honenuki reminded her.

"Oh, right! I translate this for homework. Not sure how I did, but I hope it good." She replied.

She began looking through her backpack.

"Exactly what kind of translation did you ask her for?" Iida inquired.

"An ice breaker." Honenuki answered.

Finding the notecard with her translation, she then cleared her throat.

"Touch me, and I'll pummel ya till your momma doesn't know ya!"

Both of the boys turned white.

"What? Was it wrong?" She asked nervously, seeing how they had reacted.

Honenuki chuckled before leaning near her ear and whispering it in English.

She went red at that.

"Look on the bright side, at least you didn't say it to everyone during class." Iida mentioned, trying to cheer her up.

"I still apologies." She said in embarrassment.

As the time flew by, the rest of Class 1-A soon filled up the classroom, with Aizawa being the last to make his appearance.

"Alright, today's the first real day of class, so let's detail exactly what all of you will be doing. Now, first off..." He began.

He glanced at everyone, making them feel nervous for a minute.

"I think most of you have the same question right now. Is today when I'm going to explain what I meant about that trial week you heard me mention before I dismissed all of you yesterday?" Aizawa assumed.

While a few students held a successful poker face, the rest of their expressions answered his question.

"Of course it is, and the answer to that is yes." He continued.

This got everyone's attention as he paused to clear his throat.

"As all of you should already be aware of? Regardless of which course you attend here at U.A., you'll be undergoing a higher level of education than what you'd have gone through if you had attended a regular high school. However, to truly push everyone to be the best heroes they can, we need to see exactly what your strengths are, where you're weak in both what you can overcome and be made aware of so they aren't exploited, or in other words? We know to know who we'll be teaching for the next three years." Aizawa explained.

Pony raised her hand.

"Yes Pony?" He asked.

"So, are you saying... us students are how you decide on how you teach all of us?" She asked.

"Not 100%, but yes. Our lessons depend on who gets accepted every year." Aizawa confirmed.

"But isn't that a lot to cover?" Kaminari inquired.

"Normally, it would be too much, but your Principal's quirk is called High Spec, which makes him incredibly smart when it comes to planning such details. If you want proof of how well his planning can work? He still has the teaching plan for when All Might became a First Year here." Aizawa answered.

Kaminari's eyes matched his classmates as they all showed shock at that claim, part of it being at their Principal being confirmed as being a quirked animal, rather than being a man who resembled one due to a Mutation quirk.

"Anyways, that also means for this first week? None of you are actually being graded in what you do, as we'll be showing you the bare minimum, but as a result? What you'll be doing in this first week is just a small taste of the tough training that we'll be putting all of you through during the three years you attend here." He continued.

Yanagi rose her hand.

"Yes, Yanagi?" He asked.

"Does that mean we'll only be doing one thing today, and then getting dismissed, like we did yesterday?" She inquired.

"Not exactly. The first half of each day will be tied to things specific to the school side of things, followed by a lunch break before you have a lesson in Heroic Studies, which will be the only class you'll actually be taking until this week ends and you all move into the dorms." Aizawa answered.

He waited for any more questions, but there were none.

"I guess now I'll share today's agenda before stepping out. First, all of the teachers besides your Heroic Studies teacher, who will occasionally be helping them out alongside myself or Vlad King from Class 1-B if the class requires it, will be introducing themselves to you and letting you know what kind of classes they'll be teaching. After that, and before lunch begins, you'll meet your class' counselor, who will set up meetings with all of you. Once all of those are finished? You'll end the day by meeting with Class 1-B in the join hero classroom for your first Heroic Studies class." He soon revealed.

He then looked at three of his students, who all noticed.

"Midoriya, before you go there, I need you to visit Recover Girl for something. You'll know what it is when you get there. Kaminari and Uraraka, I'd like both of you to go to the faculty room and grab both Class 1-A and 1-B's files for a reason I'm unable to share right now." Aizawa requested.

Midoriya knew that their teacher was referring to All Might, while Kaminari and Uraraka were confused by what he said.

"With that all covered..." He continued.

He grabbed his signature sleeping bag.

"The first teacher you'll meet will be Vlad King from Class 1-B, so be on your best behavior." Aizawa stated, hoisting it over his shoulder.

And with that, he exited the room as normally as he came in today.

Following their teacher leaving their classroom? The students of Class 1-A were introduced to their other teachers, which comprised of Vlad King, Midnight, Snipe, Cementoss, Ectoplasm, and Thirteen, leaving only the identity of their teacher for Heroic Studies unknown at the moment.

Though, unlike them, their guidance counselor was someone they didn't recognize, and even claimed wasn't a pro hero despite having been a former hero course student himself. He didn't elaborate why beyond something had made becoming a pro hero impossible for him, but he did have a title equivalent to a hero name known as Gentle Touch, a name fitting his gentleman-based image.

"White rice is the perfect comfort food, isn't it?" Lunch Rush stated, flashing the students a thumb's up.

And then was their lunch break. The main cafeteria was huge as a result of housing every year of the Hero, Support, and Business courses. All the food, which was both free, and gourmet-level, was made by the Pro Hero known as Lunch Rush.

Lunch Rush was a hero whose true appearance was a mystery, looking like a robot wearing a chef coat, but was well-known for the high-quality food he made for civilians that other heroes rescued from large disasters and certain villain attacks.

"Yeah, this is super good!" Uraraka agreed.

She was currently sitting with Iida and Midoriya, the former just staring at Midoriya, who was covering his mouth to avoid having a freak out like Uraraka had after she found out that Thirteen was one of their teachers.

Once lunch finally came to an end? Midoriya headed to the nurse's office, while Uraraka and Kaminari went to the faculty as requested, leaving the rest of their classmates to head on over to the joint hero classroom without them. Midoriya quickly saw Recovery Girl sitting on her chair once he opened the door.

"Ah, hello there Midoriya." Recover Girl greeted.

"Hi, I'm here for what I assume is something related to All Might's time limit?" He replied.

"Right you are." She replied.

She then handed Midoriya a small juice packet.

"A juice packet?" He asked, looking confused.

"Today's class is fairly long, long enough that he could risk nearing the end of his time limit. This will give him a slight boost to his quirk factor to extend it if needed, and to make sure none of your classmates or the students in Class 1-B ask about it? Say that I noticed he didn't properly nourish himself, since as someone who always rushes into danger, it won't be too strange for some to think he may be forgetful of the smaller things at times." Recover Girl explained.

"Alright, and thank you." He replied.

Midoriya soon excused himself and heading towards class. Once he arrived by the door and opened it up, Kirishima saw him.

"Hey look, there he is!" He smiled.

Those words caused some of the Class 1-B students to gather at the doorway and surprise him.

"I had a feeling you'd make it in, congrats!" Kirishima praised.

"We all saw or heard about what you did to the Zero Pointer, that was incredible." Awase stated.

"Yeah, that was amazing!" Ashido added.

"That quirk of yours is pretty sweet too. Not sure how it works, but it's strong." Himiko smiled.

"Mmm." Yui nodded.

Midoriya was slightly overwhelmed, but managed to find an opening to respond to everyone.

"H-Hi there, you must all be from Class 1-B?" He greeted.

"Yeah, my name's Eijiro Kirishima, nice to officially meet you!" Kirishima replied.

"Hi there, I'm Yosetsu Awase." He greeted.

"Mina Ashido, and that leap of yours during the entrance exam was awesome!" She praised while swinging her arms up and down.

Himiko then leaped towards Ashido's side.

"My name's Himiko Haimawari, but please call me Himiko." She smiled.

Yui held up a hand and waved.

"Oh, and this is Yui Kodai, who doesn't talk much. Call her Yui." Himiko added, pointing at her.

Mineta soon popped out from between them and Midoriya.

"My name's Mineta!" He announced, running in the air.

As his classmates questioned when he managed to sneak between them, with Kamakiri chuckling at the sight while sitting on his desk.

"Someone's popular." He remarked.

"Stop!" Iida shouted, running his way.

Kamakiri gave an annoyed look at Iida as he got closer, showing Komori and Shishida were standing next to said desk.

"That desk isn't a chair! Get off of it this instant!" He shouted.

"I guess we know who Class 1-A's buzzkill is." Komori realized.

Iida flinched at that.

"You seem to be a little tense." Shishida added, pointing at his shoulders.

Those words made Iida shake for a moment.

"No one understands..." He said quietly.

And then he began swinging his arms, making the trio stare at him with odd looks.

"I cannot condone actions that disrespect these desks! Not when many great men and women who were our seniors once used them!" Iida shouted.

"What kind of logic is that!?" Kamakiri questioned.

Such a response made Monoma laugh from the side, getting most of Class 1-A's attention.

"Wow, to think Class 1-A would have someone so undignified in it! I bet when our two classes are finally compared to one another by the other courses? It will be ours, not yours, they will praise and claim is better! I can only imagine the shame that it will bring-"

His words stopped as Kendo then chopped his neck.

"That's not funny Monoma! We're supposed to be having class together, not starting a civil war!" Kendo stated, glaring at him.

'I think he's out cold!' Midoriya thought, staring closely at Monoma's currently limp form.

"Sorry about Monoma here, this guy's kind of the black sheep for our class, if not both of ours. As for me? I'm the unofficial peacekeeper of our class, Itsuka kendo." She greeted.

Midoriya let out a slight chuckle in response.

"Yeah, nice to meet you." He greeted back.

The second door opened as Uraraka and Kaminari walked in with both classes' files.

"Trust me, being nauseous is a much better side effect than mine." He stated.

"When you put it like that..." She replied.

Right as they were saying that? A knock was heard on the door, getting the students of both classes to freeze up.

"Our teacher is here! Everyone, sit down!" Iida announced.

Uraraka and Kaminari placed both classes' files onto the teacher podium, and then everyone rushed to their seats.

"Who will it be? The tension's killing me!" Komori wondered.

"I have a feeling who it is, hope I'm right." Kirishima stated.

As everyone looked at their classroom's door with anticipation, which was still closed, and then...

"I am... HERE!"

Those words made everyone let out sounds of excitement as All Might swung it open and slid in.

"Coming through the door while shouting!" He finished.

("Holy shit! All Might's the Heroic Studies teacher!?") Pony shouted excitedly, holding her face as she blushed.

"Yes, I knew it was him!" Kirishima cheered.

"This is now my favorite class!" Sero declared.

All Might slowly began to strut into the room as most of the students took in his heroic form.

"Hey, isn't he wearing his Silver Age costume?" Asui noticed, only somewhat familiar with it.

"Wow... it's so retro!" Tsuburaba whispered.

Everyone soon stopped talking as All Might cleared his throat, gaining the students' full attention.

"Glad to meet all of you! Welcome to Heroic Studies, the most important class in the Hero Course, as it's your basic Hero 101! Here, you will learn the basics of being a hero, and what it means to fight in the name of good!" All Might began.

The students were barely able to contain themselves, feeling honored that All Might of all people was actually speaking to them.

"Now, let's get into it, because today's lesson... won't pull any punches!" He continued, bring out a card from his pocket.

It said BATTLE on it in big red letters.

"Fight training!" He exclaimed, with a big smirk now on his face.

"Real combat?" Midoriya nervously said.

Throwing the card to the side, All Might then flexed for what he'd say next.

"But one of the keys of being a hero is... looking good!" He shouted.

His arm soon pointed to the right.

Everyone looked at the wall, noticing a few strange markings as they revealed hidden compartments. It was then the sight of 40 identical suitcases that were each labeled with a number entered their view.

"These were created for you based on your design requests for the costume allowance! In other words, these are your hero costumes!" All Might announced.

Hearing those words made all 40 students cheer, and just as everyone prepared to grab their cases? The storage panels opened as small drones attached to each case flew them over to their respective owners.

"Everyone, go and changed! Then meet me at Training ground Beta!" All Might continued.

"Yes sir!" Both classes excitedly replied.

It was then that All Might learned what a student stampede was, just barely avoiding the floor due to his sheer stature alone.

Meanwhile, as the First Years in the Hero Course were changing? A light blue marble suddenly flew over U.A.'s entrance gate.

That was all, until...

*"SHING! WOOSH!"*

A weak, and quick flash followed as the small marble completely disappeared, leaving something much larger sitting in its place.

"Looks like I didn't trigger the alarms. Good, it means your quirk is working."

Standing up from their crouched position, a man was revealed to have taken the place of the marble. He was tall and slim, wearing a white mask with red markings that made it somewhat resemble a kabuki dancer's face if they were making an angry smile, a brown top hat with a red ribbon tied around it alongside a pale feather sticking out on the left side, and an overcoat of a dark yellow color.

"Now, let's see what I can find without tipping off anyone that I snuck in." He said with subdued excitement.

The unknown man dashed forward, making sure he wasn't seen by teacher or student alike as he went inside.

"Wait, you saw Lab 1-H explode!?"

Hearing that made the masked man stop, causing him to immediately use his quirk and hide himself in a marble, right as a pair of students walked by.

"I did. Looks like one of the First Years is already a hassle for Mr. Power Loader."

Once the two had passed his marbled form, the mysterious man freed himself and continued his trek until he made it to the teacher's faculty room, which he confirmed was empty after listening through the door.

"Such is the reality of a large establishment. It must rely on technology's aid to both keep people out, and watch every corner of the inside." He smirked.

Slipping into the room by becoming a marble, then sliding under the door with another part of his quirk, he soon reformed by the cabinet holding his prize.

"While this? Mere child's play."

Picking the lock open with a simple hairpin, he opened it up and looked at the files detailing plans for each of the four courses' trial weeks. His eyes soon found the ones tied to the Hero Course, skimming through everything until he found one particular event in the coming days.

"Ah, this will do." He decided.

The usual thief or villain would have taken the paper with the info, but not this man. He took out paper he had in one of his overcoat's pockets and began writing the info on it, allowing him to neatly place the papers back in order.

With his mission done? The man looked around and found the sole vent in the room, jumping up and turning into a marble again to use the jump's force to fling himself into the vent's airways, allowing him to leave U.A. with ease.

'A bid you adieu, U.A.' He thought.

No one in the school or otherwise knew it at the time, but the quiet sounds of his marble rolling away? It was the first of many signs towards something horrible planned for the students of Class 1-A and 1-B.

That's one way to make marbles into something scary.

Mr. Compress has snuck into U.A., and considering where we are in the story, I don't think it's any big secret what information he just stole. I originally had intended for him to debut later than he did here, but a combination of his recent reveal in the manga, the fact Himiko isn't with the League of Villains in this story, and the scene above helping set a detail for the USJ arc? I decided to introduce him here.

With that out of the way, here are some other important details I need to cover. Starting with how Compress was able to sneak into U.A., and how his quirk and another's have changed to let him achieve said feat.

Like most schools, I assume U.A.'s main building relies on cameras for its security, so those are useless if someone either shut them off or didn't show up on the video feed. Remember the villain from the USJ that jammed communications? Compress has a marble with him inside it on hand, and his quirk evolution gave him a veil that made him invisible to the cameras and the sensors, which was only possible due to Compress' quirk evolution.

His quirk is now able to telekinetically move the marbles he creates, which now allow certain objects or the quirks of people within the marble to influence the outside world, provided he wants them to.

Now, before we end this chapter? Here's one detail I need to say about Amajiki's quirk evolution. It's the only one I couldn't fully share due to how, as a result of them being First Years here, the Big Three all currently lack part of their full skillsets. For Mirio, it's his ability to react to counterattacks like the one Izuku tried to hit him with. For Nejire, it's using her quirk to achieve flight. For Amajiki, he's unable to manifest more than one trait at a time, since he struggled to use his quirk during his backstory flashback scene.

Once he's able to manifest more than one at a time? His quirk will be able to merge multiple traits into a single form, but only if they have a similar texture. For example, he could mix the shell of a crab and a clam together, but not a crab shell with an octopus tentacle.

Until next time everyone, and stay awesome! ^^
