Out at the Café, James, Bronwyn, and Charlie were enjoying dinner together. Charlie wanted to tell Bronwyn about Sarah, but he knew that she found out from his brother. So, he looked at her and asked her about Ellie. "Erm, Bronwyn. How's Ellie doing today?" He asked.
"Well, Charlie. Penny told me that Ellie had been ill since she rescued Lion from Pontypandy cliffs. I'm not sure what it was."
"Oh, I see. Will she be okay?"
"She'll be fine, Sam and Penny are taking care of her for the next few days."
"Alright, love. I'll ask when we pick up Sarah."
Charlie went to find some salt for his chips. He was then looking worried that Ellie might've been ill with an upset stomach. He then turned to James who was looking a little worried. Bronwyn frowned and decided to ask James. "James, are you okay?" She asked.
James was worried about Sarah. He didn't want to tell her that Norman Price loosened the pieces on his sister's go-kart, but he later decided to tell her what happened. "Mum, I have something to tell you."
"What is it, James?"
"Norman, Sarah, and I were racing on our go-karts this afternoon then he loosened the pieces to have her speed up. It then led her straight to Uncle Sam's house. I had to look for her all over Pontypandy until Mandy told me everything."
"Oh, James. I know you miss her, but we'll be picking her up later from Uncle Sam's house later. I'm sure he'll understand."
James had finished his dinner; he then went to the other side to hug his mum. Bronwyn accepted it and held it in tight until James released. He felt much better that they can pick up Sarah together. So, he decided to help clear the table as Charlie set the table already.
Meanwhile at Sam's house,
Penny and Sam were finishing their dinner when Sarah had began to worry. Sam was sitting next to his niece, he decided to ask her what was going on. Penny looked at them as she began to notice something might be wrong. "Sarah, is everything ok?" Sam asked.
"Yes, Uncle Sam. I'm just worried about something."
"What is it?"
"I'm worried that I might miss my brother James."
"Oh, I see. Don't worry, Sarah. I'm sure you'll see him again."
"Do you think so, Uncle Sam?"
"Yes, Sarah. I think so."
Sarah was pleased that she will be seeing James again. She had finished her dinner While Sam and Penny had finished too. Penny then helped clear the table with Sam and Sarah. After the Table was cleared, Sam wanted to ask Sarah something. "Sarah, I don't think I told you this earlier, but Ellie is here because she felt very ill this morning. Can you make her a get-well card?" He asked.
"Ok, Uncle Sam. I'm sure Ellie will love it."
Me too, Sarah. Me too."
Sam went to find some paper for Sarah to use so that she can make Ellie a card. He later came across a storage room which had all art supplies and crafting paper. He grabbed a piece of paper and some colors, and then joined Sarah in the sitting room so that he can see how it looks.
Meanwhile,
Penny had finished with the dishes when she decided to check on Ellie who was resting. She peeked her head in the door and saw Ellie fast asleep in the bed, then she moved slowly closing the door behind her. Ellie was still very ill after she had rescued Lion from Pontypandy cliffs. Penny decided to check Ellie's temperature, she grabbed the thermometer and waited. After Penny had carefully placed the thermometer back in the cup, Ellie soon began to move and wake up, but Penny was right beside her. She gasped after another horrible dream. Penny had to help her new friend keep calm, she sat on the bed and held her with a comforting hug. "Shh, it's ok, Ellie. I'm here. Just relax, You'll be ok" Penny said soothing her new firefighting friend.
"Hi, Penny." Ellie said tiredly.
"Hello, Ellie. How are you feeling?"
"Not well, Penny. I had been resting until I had the terrible dream just now."
"I know, Ellie. I know."
"What have you been up to while I was asleep?"
Penny looked around, then realized that Sam was with Sarah working on a card for Ellie. So, she decided to tell her. "Well, I had to help Sam take care of you, then I had to take care of Sarah." She added.
"Wow, Penny. You must've been busy."
"Yes, I have."
Penny had then helped Ellie with the blanket and looked out the window to find out it was almost 7 in the evening. Ellie had later managed to fall back asleep again, Penny started to rub her arm to help her calm down for a moment. She then started to walk out, but Ellie couldn't help but thank her. "Thanks, Penny. You're the best." Ellie said as she fell asleep.
"Anytime, Ellie."
Penny had soon walked out of the guest room to let Ellie sleep for the night. She decided to find Sam and Sarah in the sitting room with a perfect get-well card for Ellie. Sarah had made her the best card that she ever made. "Sarah, that looks amazing. I'm sure Ellie will love this." Penny said as Sarah showed her the card.
"Thanks, Penny."
Sam couldn't help but smile at the card that his niece had made. So, he joined them and helped place the card somewhere safe so that he can give it to her when she wakes up in the morning.
Back at the Café,
Charlie, Bronwyn, and James were preparing for a walk to Sam's house to pick up Sarah. James was excited to see her again, he was worried for a moment after her crash on the go-kart. "Right, are we ready?" Charlie asked as he grabbed the keys.
"All set, Charlie."
"Ok, I'll just lock the door and then we'll be on our way."
Charlie had then locked the door to the Café and walked up with Bronwyn and James. It was a long walk for them to get from the Wholefish Café to Sam's house. Bronwyn was worried about Sarah since the go-kart had crashed with her outside the front door.
Meanwhile,
Sam, Penny, and Sarah were in the sitting room together, it had been a long day after Sarah had crashed her go-kart after Norman Price cheated by loosening the pieces. She had later began to fall asleep on the sofa. Sam had noticed that he needed to tell Dilys about Norman. He grabbed the keys to his house and came back to the sitting room where Penny was with Sarah beside her. "I'm off to the Prices right now, I realized I need to tell Dilys about Norman. Can you watch Sarah until Charlie, Bronwyn, and James arrive?" He asked.
"Of course, Sam."
"Thanks, Penny. If I see them along the way, I'll come back for a moment."
Penny nodded in agreement and sat down with Sarah on the sofa. Sarah was asleep as it was near 9 in the evening, Penny decided to grab her favorite blanket and wrap her up in it while waiting for her parents and James. "Sleep tight, Sarah." she said quietly.
She had never felt so proud of herself after taking on a tough challenge with Sam. Just as she set down her phone on the table, Sarah began to move. So, she moved a bit closer and held on tight to her. Sarah was having a bit of a terrible dream; Penny had decided to help keep her calm with a comforting hug while rubbing her back. "It's ok, Sarah. It's only a bad dream you've had. You're going to be ok." Sarah had later managed to fall back asleep in her arms.
Out in the streets of Pontypandy,
Sam was on the path that leads to the cut-price store when he saw Charlie, Bronwyn, and James. They were passing by the park entrance when Sam came along. "Hello, Sam." Charlie called.
"Hi, Charlie."
"Where are you off to?"
"Oh, well. I was just heading to the supermarket to talk to Dilys about Norman. But, now that I see that you're picking up Sarah, I think we'll walk to my house first."
"Oh, thanks, Sam."
Soon, James, Charlie, and Bronwyn followed Sam back to his house which was to the left of the Fire Station. They soon came to the front door; Sam was realizing that Sarah had already fallen asleep by now. So, he unlocked the door to his house and went to the sitting room. Penny was sitting on the sofa with Sarah in her arms, she looked back to find that Sam came back with Charlie, James, and Bronwyn. "Penny, I found them. They just came to pick her up." He whispered in her ear being mindful of his niece who was sleeping.
"Ok, Sam. I've got her ready to go. She fell asleep once you had left."
Sam and Penny passed Sarah to Bronwyn after she had fallen asleep. She then looked at the bandage on her arm. Charlie was surprised at the damage Norman Price had caused; he could see the bandage on Sarah's arm. "Thanks for looking after her today, Sam. I'm sorry if her go-kart crashed outside your door." Charlie said, looking apologetic.
"That's alright, Charlie. I'm sure we had a great time."
"Well, what did you do today?"
"Sarah and I made a get-well card for Ellie, and we made dinner together. Penny helped too."
Penny looked at Sam, she couldn't help but feel proud of the work she had done today. So, she gave Sam a pat on his shoulder. Bronwyn looked at Sarah, she had noticed that Sarah had a bandage on her arm. So, she asked Sam how it happened. "Sam, how did Sarah manage to crash her go-kart in front of your door?" She asked quietly.
"I think it was Norman Price again, I'll be heading to his house soon."
"Yes, I think she'll be fine tomorrow. It was easy to take care of her, but don't forget to change the bandage tomorrow. If anything else happens, I would call Helen if I were you." Penny added.
"Oh, thanks you two. Right, I think it's time we were home right now."
"Ok, mum." James called as he opened the door.
"Bye, Uncle Sam." Sarah said tiredly.
"Bye, Sarah. I'll see you later."
Soon, the Jones family were heading home to the wholefish cafe while Sam went to Norman's house. Penny closed the door behind her and went to check on Ellie.
Out in Pontypandy,
Sam had arrived at Dilys' Shop to find out that Dilys was just cleaning the counter. So, he opened the door and entered the shop. Dilys was surprised to see Sam in the shop, she decided to see if he needed anything. "Ah, Sam. I'm so glad to see you tonight. Do you need anything?" she asked.
"Actually, Dilys, I came to talk to you about Norman today."
"Oh, what's my little treasure done now, Sam?"
"Well, I was enjoying a cup of tea this afternoon at lunch time when I heard a go-kart crash outside my door."
"Oh no, who was it that crashed, Sam?"
"Let's just say that Sarah crashed today. I saw her as I opened the door."
"Anything else happened before the crash?"
"I now know that Norman loosened the pieces on the go-kart and that was a way of cheating."
"Oh, dear. I hope she's okay, I've never heard something like this before."
"Me neither, Dilys. I think it's time we talk to Norman."
"I agree, I'll give him a call."
Dilys went to the stairs and called for Norman who was in his room. "NORMAN!" She shouted.
"Yes, Mam."
"Can you come down for a moment?"
"Ok, I'll be down there now."
Norman came rushing down the stairs very carefully. He could see his mom, and Sam at the counter. He was wondering if he was in trouble for a fire he caused. "What's going on, am I in trouble because I set fire to something?" he asked his mother.
"No, Norman. It's because you cheated in a race earlier today with the twins."
"What did I do?"
Dilys was beginning to be very angry with Norman, he had no idea he was in trouble for cheating in a race. Sam had looked at the both of them, then he looked at Norman to ask him something. "Norman, do you remember when you cheated in the three-legged race?"
"Of course, I do. What makes you think that, Sam?"
'Well, I think we needed to talk about this after you showed up to my house, Norman."
"Oh, I think you're right, Sam."
Dilys then turned to Sam, she wanted to make sure that Norman would never do something like this ever again. So, she decided to ask him if she can tell him off. "Do you think I could give him a good telling off, Sam?"
"Haha, Of course, Dilys. I'll have you do the honours."
Dilys nodded in agreement, she was soon very angry with Norman. She looked to see if the door was shut along with the fire exit. Then she looked at him, it was time Norman had to be in trouble. "NORMAN PRICE! I can't believe you cheated again, You loosened the pieces to Sarah's go-kart, and you caused her to crash outside of Fireman Sam's house!" She yelled.
"But Mam. I was trying to win the race, they said I could prove it." Norman added.
"I DON'T CARE! You are grounded, you have been a very naughty boy. Go to your room, right now!"
"Yes, Mam." Norman said, knowing he was in trouble already.
Dilys was very upset with Norman after she heard he cheated in a race with Sarah and James. She then turned to Sam who had some tea bags ready to be paid for. "Thanks for bringing it up with me, Sam. I'll probably hide his go-kart somewhere he can't find it." she said as the tea bags were placed in a paper bag.
"That's probably a good idea, Dilys. Nothing better than peace and quiet." he added handing her money to pay for the tea bags.
"See you later, Sam."
"Bye, Dilys. I'll come by in the morning."
Soon, Sam had walked out of the shop. He was very relieved that Norman won't cause any more trouble to anyone. He was thinking about the time Norman had sprained his ankle in the three-legged race while cheating his way to win. He soon continued back to his house.
