I'm probably going to make up some of the skills for Listoria since I forgot to specify that…

Chapter 7: Underling

"WHAAAAT?!" We all cried out in shock.

This girl is the Lastation CPU?! I thought with a shocked expression over my face. But she looks so…

"Wow, you guys scream really loud." Listoria said sarcastically as she covered her ears.

"That's impossible…" IF muttered in disbelief. "There is no way a kid like you could be…"

"But I am!" Listoria interrupted her while smiling.

"But why do you look so… young?" I asked her, still surprised by what I was seeing.

"Because she doesn't age like us." IF answered for her. "CPUs are immortal so age doesn't matter for them…"

"You're really well informed, um…" Listoria just looked at her with some thought. "Sorry, I haven't gotten your guys names yet."

IF just sighed before introducing herself, while Compa and Plutia introduce themselves nicely. Listoria then turned towards me and looked at me with a bright smile.

"Wow, Sapphire! I can't believe you have actual friends!" She said this really sarcastically.

"W-Wait, what do you mean by that?" I asked her.

Listoria just shook her head. "Sorry, can't say anything! Kei just told me not to tell you anything!"

"Oh yeah…"

"But hey, don't worry about that now!" She just smiled. "Let's do some quests for now!"

I just titled my head in confusion. "Why?"

"Since we have nothing to go on, we have gathered some 'information'." Listoria put some air quotes in "information."

"Sure!" I smiled at her.

"Sounds good to me…" IF answered while Compa and Plutia agreed with her.

"Alrighty then, let's go!" Listoria exclaimed.

We all decided to do some quests in Rebeat Resort since it is a little bit closer and there was only one quest at the time. Plus, I'm really interested in Listoria's skills.

"Hey Sapphire, do you remember what quests we were supposed to do?" Listoria asked as she looked back at me.

"Well, um…" I looked back at the quest paper. "It says here that we have to beat 15 Delinquent Cats."

"Wow, that's a lot of cats…" Listoria said really sarcastically.

"Why do you keep saying stuff so sarcastically… um Lady Listoria?" I asked her.

Listoria just waved her hand. "You don't have to be formal with me, just call me Listoria."

"Ok, um… Listoria…"

"And to answer that question…" Listoria thought to herself. "I guess it's just the way I act."

"Oh… I see…"

"Well, either way, let's find those cats!" Listoria scanned the area as she saw one. "There!"

"Let's get them!" Before we pulled out our weapons, Listoria immediately pulled out her Magnum Gun and shot it and it didn't go completely down but it looked paralyzed.

"What the—?!" I looked completely shocked by what I just saw.

"Paralysis Shot." Listoria said. "It's pretty useful, not gonna lie!"

"Hey! Leave some for us!" IF said as she pulls out a pistol and starts shooting at the cat. It soon dissipated in digitize crystal while me and Plutia just look shock by what we just saw.

"You use a gun, Iffy!" I exclaimed out of shock.

"It is only Guild property." IF answered as she puts it away. "But I only have limited bullets right now…"

After that, I was completely speechless as well as Plutia whose mind probably just broke. Compa just smiled really awkwardly.

What the heck? They both use guns… I thought to myself. What's next? Compa pulls out a machine gun and starts shooting all the Delinquent Cats?

"Wow Sapphire! You've never seen a gun before!" Listoria spoke up, breaking my train of thought.

"N-No… it's just really surprising how well you used it." I answered.

"Oh wow, that's it?" Listoria said, still sounds sarcastic.

"Well…" I closed my eyes in thought as I put my hands together. "Sappy is really amazed at how well you used that gun! Like really, really amazed! It was so amazing that Sappy would really, really like to try one out for myself. If that were to happen, we would like those guys in those cool spy movies with some sunglasses and black suits! It would be really funny if either Plutia or Compa were using one plus it would be really, really cool if it did! Sappy also thinks that…"

But IF suddenly interrupted me. "Um, Saps? What happened to your voice?"

"My voice?" I then noticed that my voice was a little higher pitched than before so I cleared my throat. "Well, um, either way, what I'm saying that it looks cool!"

"Um, Sap-Sap?" Compa looked worryingly. "What was that?"

"What was what?" I immediately sweatdropped.

"Um, you know your voice?" Plutia spoke up, looking confused.

"W-What are you talking about?" I asked, denying everything. "Y-You're probably just hearing things."

"Nope, we all definitely heard a valley girl's voice just now!" Listoria pointed at me accusingly.

"You were talking in third person just a few seconds earlier." IF told me, looking at me accusingly.

I then covered my ears "La La La La La I can't hear you!" I walked away from the group but I somehow heard them.

IF then whispered to Listoria and asked. "Did you know any of this?"

"Nope, first time hearing this!" Listoria confirmed. "I don't think even Kei knows that…"

IF just sighed. "Let's just get this over with…"

"Agreed…"

14 Delinquent Cats later…

After that event, we all collectively agreed to never speak of this again. However, I learned a new skill at the very least which is called Combination Slice. Pretty cool, right? Either way, we decided to take a break for now and suddenly we all heard a brash girl's voice.

"Hey! You!"

"The author really likes to interrupt our breaks, doesn't he?" I muttered as I looked up to who was speaking. "Okay, who is it this time?"

We saw a young pale girl with green hair. We all looked completely confused while Listoria stared blankly at her.

"Oh, it's just Underling…" Listoria sarcastically said as she stood up.

"Underling?" I looked at her from head to toe. "Well, she does look like one…But who is she anyway?"

"She's just someone who's working with a mysterious group." Listoria took out her whip and smiled. "Don't worry, I'll deal with her."

"Hey! Why are you talking amongst yourselves?" Underling said angrily. "And my name is not Underling!"

"She does look like one…"

"I can't really deny it Iffy…"

"Yep! Can't deny it!"

This all came from IF, Compa, and Plutia respectively.

"Stop making fun of me!" Underling fuming with anger. "You know what? I'll take you on after I deal with her!"

"Yeah, whatever you say…" Listoria just smiled confidently as she completely ignored Underling.

"Argh! That's it! I'm taking you down right now!" She immediately pulled out her bat and charged directly towards Listoria. However, Listoria still just smiled.

"Yoink!" With one swift motion of her whip, she instantly took away Underling's weapon.

"W-What the hell?! You can't do tha—"

Listoria then interrupted her as she called out her attack. "Volcano Whip!"

We all look surprised at how easily she handled that fight while Listoria smiled with confidence. "Wow! That was soooo hard!"

"D-Damn you… I'll get you next time!" Then Underling immediately runned off.

Listoria then put away her whip and walked her way back to us.

"Alrighty then, let's go back!" Listoria smiled brightly.

"Wow, beating Underling was really easy for you…" I muttered.

"Yep! Easy as a pie!" Then we heard her stomach grumble. "Well, I really need some pie right about now!"

"Ooooh, that sounds really yummy!" My eyes literally sparkled. "I want to try some!"

"Well then, I know a great place to get pie!" She then beckoned us to follow her. "Then follow me"

We all followed her all the way back to Lastation while I heard IF and Compa talking to each other.

"They really get along with each other…" IF said as she smiled

"Mmmh Hmph!" Compa also smiled.

Meanwhile…

"So you failed, didn't you?" A certain villain said.

"I'm sorry! It won't happen again!" Underling pleaded.

"Well, it was to be expected." Then the lady had an idea. "But, what if you were able to become stronger?"

"You mean…?"

Yes, a device that is able to match the abilities of a CPU!" She laughed maniacally. "How amazing we are capable of using this kind of device!"

Then she then kept on laughing while Underling just smirked.

"Heh, this would be good!"

Now it's time for… Sapphire's Imagination!

"Wait, you have a gun!" I pointed at IF and then I pointed at Listoria. "And you have a gun! And what's next? Compa suddenly has a machine gun?!"

*Compa pulls out a machine gun and shoots at the Delinquent Cats.*

"Wait, it's all guns?" I asked myself.

*Plutia pulls out a gun and points it directly at the back of my head.*

"Always has been…"
