Revelations

Basil was worried. "Three men? I will make sure nobody is sent here; Draco's ex means danger. But is there a little girl? Is Teddy telling the truth?" He'd called Emile to sit with Hermione; it would be better.

"He is," Hermione assured him.

"We need to draft a will for your protection. Leave the money to whoever you wish, but to your son first." Basil urged her.

Draco opened the door, "I heard part of it. I suggest one of the brothers comes; each is an army of one. They can rotate."

"How?" Basil asked.

"They travel their own way," Draco explained.

"Do it. Hermione, all your food will be tested before you eat, without exception. You don't go anywhere alone. We will talk in a while. Nicole awaits. Emile is coming to keep company." Basil grinned.

He might be smiling, but Basil's heart ached; seeing Hermione in her nightclothes had awoken his body. He was miserable; his family Wizards had a great secret; their bodies only awoke for the' one,' or for the one they married. To make it worse, the knowledge of how to please your witch also came along with the body awakening. He'd wanted to marry soon to avoid Hermione, too late. Now all he wanted was to be in her bed, touching her skin, tasting every inch of her body. His attraction for Fleur had evaporated in seconds.

"Treat Fleur right; she is a good witch. Weasley hurt her badly." Draco meant it.

"I know, I know. But first, Fleur has to let me get close. I have honorable intentions." Basil assured him. "Get dressed before you see Hermione, right now."

"Basil will treat Fleur right; he is a nice wizard." Hermione's stomach soured thinking of Basil with Fleur; simply, she didn't like the idea.

When he left, Draco grinned, "I see you are on a first-name basis with Mr. Proper. I guess he wants me to dress formally around you. He thinks I am presuming too much. I also noticed he is wearing local finery."

"Uhu, he said, walking with his normal shoes was unpleasant." Hermione shrugged her shoulder.

Does Teddy see your girl?"

'I think so, how else would have him known her name was Alice?

"You look lovely. By the way, I agree with Mr. Proper that you are in danger. My father looked up social records; he found out you have four godfathers and one godmother. Basil's mother and father, Emile's dead brother, Basil, and a Wizard, that my father doesn't know. Not Emile, he wasn't one. " Draco was going to say something but changed his mind.

"My father found your mother's pictures, but he doesn't remember her. It makes sense; he graduated a year before she started; besides, he didn't know her family. Father Dumbledore must have hexed you, to confuse those who saw you just for a short while. But he was not sure why Sirius and Remus didn't recognize you; maybe the curly hair confused them." Draco grinned.

Draco sat on her bed, taking a strand of her hair. At once, Hermione pointed her wand and obscured the window; he sighed, pulling her up to him. "Oh, witch," Draco whispered.

Draco's mouth fell on hers, hungrily. Hermione pressed against him; she wanted him just as much. His hand roamed her body, moving up her thigh. "I wanted to touch you; I want to feel your desire."

Hermione moved closer to allow him easy access to her.

"I want the same," Hermione's hand went inside his trousers.

"Darling, yes, no, not now. I don't know why I want you so much. I can say I never felt this way." Draco whispered, his voice breaking up. He moved back, holding her hand away from him; "I don't have a wand; let me go and get dressed."

"Let me." She pulled out her wand and changed his clothes to the ones he wore last evening. "Have you been thinking about me; I have," Hermione knew this wasn't the time, but it's was so tempting.

"I have; I don't get it. We hardly know each other; this feeling confuses me. I must confess, I don't want Mr. Proper or Emile to find us. I am sure they would hurt me; I am not blind, both treat you like you are Muggle royalty. I have some news; Adrian sent me an owl; he said Theo's office was cleaned out by someone who broke in last night. Adrian cannot believe what is happening." Hermione interrupted Draco.

"The mirror." Hermione pointed.

Draco followed her finger and saw Theo and a little witch, "Theo, tell us, was it Astoria?" Before Theo could answer, Draco heard something whacking the window. He threw Hermione on the floor, covering her body with his.

"What was that?" He could hear loud noises on the balcony.

Draco opened the balcony doors and saw the guard's shoulder; it was bleeding. Hermione said, "I have my wand. I shouldn't say it, but I can make you a temporary extra wand, untraceable." She pointed her wand, murmured a charm from a scroll left by her grandmother; and, now, she held two wands. She gave the extra wand to Draco.

He saw a large bird dead by the window, a crow.

Basil came; he was distraught, "My dear, are you all right? I saw several crows smashing against the windows. Someone is out there, wanting to hurt you." He ran to Hermione and held her to him. She was shaking like a leaf. "I won't let anything happen to you." Basil was as scared as Hermione.

Emile was right behind; seeing the mess, he yelled, "Not my daughter, no!." Growling an inhuman sound, pulled Hermione away from Basil. Emile's appearance had changed, not quite human, but it didn't last. Draco didn't see him, but Hermione did. She would ask later.

Basil stared. He was white, pale, "Was it true, they accepted you?"

Emile nodded. "Yes, we had a secret union, the day of the wedding. You know my family, they were furious that I was not the chosen. My parents are as rich as Hermione's grandparents. Jerome understood their anger; it was going to be official, days after the murder. I'll explain it later."

"What are you saying?" Hermione asked.

"We will explain when we are alone. You are also my child; you should know now that Basil will make good on his promise. Aren't you? I heard you swearing to Alice."

Basil decided this was a good time as any. The rejection was coming his way, so be it, "Hermione, will you be my wife? There can be one more in our union. I mean Mr. Malfoy, or whoever you choose. It is better that way; we can keep you safe."

Draco didn't mind; the idea sounded intriguing. He looked at Hermione; she was speechless. Draco was hoping she would accept both of them, now, before other suitors would try.

Emile continued, "He promised Alice to marry you as soon as you were of age. I believe they drew a contract. The killers were Death Eaters, but maybe not. I was there; unfortunately, I couldn't save them. When I tried to hide them, something blocked me; we still don't know what could have done it." His eyes filled with tears.

"At the last minute, I was able to Apparate with you: though it was hard leaving your parents behind. I didn't want to, but they told me to go. I had to leave my sweet Alice because they wanted to kill you. My dear, understand that I tried to save them but couldn't. I tried to hide them again right before leaving. When help arrived, they found nothing; an explosion had destroyed the house." Emile's voice was flat.

"Come here, darling, " Emile sat Hermione on his lap. She liked that, feeling his love righted many wrongs.

"I went to your grandparents; I was gravely injured to go any further. Jerome and Alice lived in a cottage on the Dagworth estate. When I woke up a couple of days later, you were gone. Although I wanted to raise you, your grandmother took you away while I was out. She had no right, but that was her. Your grandfather said I wasn't fit to be a father; he was still unhappy that we went against his beliefs. We didn't believe in Pureblood hogwash; how could we?" He played with Hermione's hair, no longer crying, looking happy.

"My parents are still angry; your grandmother denied them of their grandchild. We only can have children with the one, and Alice is gone. My siblings were murdered; thus, you are it. Too bad that we never read the Prophet; hence, we never saw your picture. I wish we had." Emile shook his head, "My mother despises Miss Skeeter; I agree; I read the nonsense she wrote about you." Both chuckled.

"Darling, If you aren't fit to travel in a day or two, my parents will come. Basil was stubborn; he told me to wait to see you. He is bullheaded; you probably know that." Emile kissed her head.

"I see, I have a father and grandparents. Basil, why so many years of lying to me?" Her eyes filled with tears, the hormones, she thought.

"I am sorry; I had no idea. I think your grandmother wanted to hide you. Emile is well known, and they might have been afraid for you. Which makes me believe it is about the money." Basil looked sad.

Lucius was in the room. He went to Hermione, "I heard about the crows. It is dark magic; someone quite powerful is out there. It cannot be Astoria; her magic is weak, but she might be helping them; I just don't know how."

Teddy came in behind Basil, "Alice says the men and 'Astota' are outside." He stopped, sounding angry, shook his finger. "Nasty Alice, you are wrong; I am her baby, nasty, nasty Alice."

Teddy ran to Hermione, "God-mommy, tell her," he pointed his fingers at the air. "Tell her I am your baby because my parents are deader." His hair was exactly like Hermione's.

In the mirror, they all saw Theo holding a young child, maybe five or so, a curly blond, a miniature Hermione.

"Alice, my darling, Teddy is right; love you and wish you were still here. I love the two of you; mommies have a lot of love to give."

They saw the little witch throwing air kisses to Hermione, and then, they were gone.

Emile smiled, "Alice is a little beauty. Maybe I can do something; you are, as you know, my blood; so our Alice is my blood. Basil knows what I can do. But sometimes it doesn't work. I will explain later. The time turners were made using our stolen blood. We must talk; just keep in mind we cannot change the timelines. I need to know more. Though I suspect you can do much of what I can. I will teach you."

Someone had arrived. Hermione blinked at the stranger.

Teddy applauded, "A funny clown," he laughed.

"I am not a clown, rude child," the newcomer reprimanded Teddy. She dressed in semi-Muggle clothes made out of spider webs, beads, feathers, and much more. She wore a floppy hat decorated with small bones, metal pieces, gems, and dried flowers. She made Luna look tame.

The newcomer stopped talking, looking at the air. "Alice, Jerome?" She blinked a couple of times.

"Who is here?" She asked Basil, "You didn't say there are at least six or seven visitors. Two of them are strong presences."

"You are so pretty; you must be Alice's grandchild. Alice, I missed you so. Why are you like that?" The newcomer was somewhere else. Hermione exclaimed when she saw the witch's hand, then the arm, disappeared in the thin air.

When the 'clown' looked at her, Hermione was surprised; Gundruf was beautiful, amazingly so. She had Basil's hair with extra colors artificially added. Looking at her clothes, crazy as they were, there were similar to the clothes Muggles wore. The witch wore leggings with a colorful, multi-pattern, spider web tunic.

"Darling, your daughter is Alice's grandchild. Alice was my best friend," she went to Hermione and touched her face. "I was told you died as well. For some reason, I couldn't see you or your parents. They were all here when I arrived. I am no so sure about your parents, but they were here. I think they have always been around you. I need to think to talk to them."

They sat and visited for a while. Teddy stood next to Gundruf, touching her; he was fascinated.

Hermione asked, "Where are Nichole and Fleur?"

"In their room. I will go and check on them," Andromeda had just come in.

Andy came minutes later, looking distraught. "Mr. Weasley was there helping them pack. It would seem they are reconciling. I was informed Fleur is pregnant; she must have been seeing him. He is like his uncles, not like Arthur. Besides, Molly catered to them."

Lucius shook his head, "Not a good decision."

Emile sighed, "Twice rejected, I cared for her. But now I will have time for my daughter and grandchild. I liked that she had a young child, but it no longer matters."

Gundruf sat to look at the 'visitors' trying to talk to them.

Hermione dared, "When we are amongst Muggles, we should try to dress like them." She told Gundruf and took her to help her choose from her Muggle clothes.

Later, some of the group sat to eat in a small dining room in the suite. Teddy wouldn't let Draco sit next to Hermione; he sat on one side, and her daddy, Emile, on the other side. Teddy was in charge of his to-be-mommy. It made Lucius smile; he loved the little wizard; if he had werewolf blood, who cared. Lucius had changed much.

Gundruf came in the room, wearing leather trousers with a wide belt from the area, a cropped jumper, and short hiking boots. She had her hair half up with her wild pins and long necklaces.

Teddy looked at her, "Who are you?" He went to her, "You are very pretty, maybe you can marry me?" He sniffed the air. "You smell very good, like flowers. Are you married? Do you have a list of hofuls?"

The wizards were grinning, looking at the mini-flirt, touching Gundruf's arm.

"No, I don't have any, no hopefuls for me." Gundruf blushed, trying to change to distract her want to be hopeful, looked at Hermione. "Thanks, I went looking around. You are right. It is easier looking like them; I mean the Muggles." She looked at Teddy, "We can talk when you are a little older; for now, I will start my list with you."

Teddy nodded, changing his hair to look like Basil's. He sat to look at Gundruf; he nodded again, "Okay, maybe when I am ten."

Every one was grateful for Teddy, making them all forget the tragedies. The ones outside
