Sam finally made his way to Josh's house. He still wasn't very pleased about being interrupted but when Josh was like this, there was no disagreeing with him! He knocked on the door trying to keep hold of all the papers he had brought in his arms.
"Finally!" Josh said when he opened the door.
"I came as quick as I could." Sam sighed.
"Well you should get faster then." Josh walked into his house.
"What about the door?" Sam called.
"Just shut it." Josh called back.
Sam looked at the papers in his arms and then at the door. He walked into the house, found somewhere to put the papers and then closed the door. Sam took his coat off and picked up his papers again.
"Want a drink?" Josh called.
"I'm fine thanks." Sam answered sitting down dodging papers strewn everywhere.
Josh came in with a cup of coffee. He mumbled something about the papers Sam had moved and sat down himself.
"So what did you want to go over?" Sam started to look through his papers.
"Nothing." Josh groaned.
"What do you mean nothing?!" Sam chuckled.
"I mean I wanted company." Josh gave in to saying.
Sam sighed. Maybe Josh was right, a night like tonight seemed like they needed people with them. Sam then gave his signature smile and Josh knew he wasn't alone anymore.
"I wonder how CJ is getting on." Josh broke the silence.
"Well Leo said he was going to join her so…" Sam yawned.
"Great so no one is working in the west wing?!" Josh finally thought.
"Well, the president is there. Most of our assistants are there. They'll be fine."
"I might check on them later though."
"Josh!"
Sam had wanted the rest of the day to be a bit more relaxing than being interrogated by Josh. Josh though seemed to just be letting everything go today!
"Look I know you want to know how Donovan is but CJ will tell us soon. So just wait."
Josh sighed as he leaned back into the sofa. Sam could finally relax a little more. Josh always had something thinking away however, so this feeling wouldn't be for long.

Leo's car drove along at quite a snail's pace. Leo usually hated going slow when in a car but for just this once he allowed it. He was mostly looking at his phone just hoping nothing would take him back to the White House.
"Something bothering you Mr McGary?" His driver asked several times.
"No." Leo answered every time.
The driver just carried on driving whenever this reply came. He was still worried about Leo though so kept an eye on him just in case. Leo then looked out of the window. This usually made him feel travel sick but today seemed different.
"Here we are." The driver finally said.
"Thanks." Leo said getting out before the driver could say anything else.
Leo hopped into the hospital. It seemed to be awfully quiet for the middle of the day but just wanted to get to CJ so carried on his way. He passed the door he had come in only a few hours ago and then carried on along the many corridors.
He finally came up to CJ's receptionist. Leo could already tell that this wasn't going to be very straight forward.
"What do you want?" The receptionist greeted him.
"I'm here to see my friend." Leo answered.
"Name?"
"Simon Donovan."
"He's already got a visitor!"
"I know. I'm here to see her as well."
"I'm afraid I can't let you pass."
Leo got more annoyed as the conversation moved forward. This receptionist wasn't useful whatsoever! He looked around for some sign of CJ coming to help him.
"I'm going to have to ask you to leave." The receptionist said to Leo even though he wasn't really listening.
"Look, I'm the chief of staff. I need to see my friends." Leo finally spat.
"Alright keep your hair on!"
"Look you…"
"Leo." CJ called from the corridor.
Leo smiled as she walked towards him. The receptionist went back to work when she saw CJ coming. Both women had agreed to not bother each other again which CJ had been very happy to agree with.
"Thank you." Leo whispered as they walked towards the room where Donovan was resting.
"Don't worry about it. She was like that with me so don't feel too special." CJ smiled.
Leo stopped outside the room. He expected Donovan to be in a worse shape than he was which was a good sign. CJ could see something in Leo's eyes. She didn't exactly know what it was but knew Leo wouldn't talk about it so thought nothing more of it.
"Yes I'm tired CJ." Leo answered her question.
"I didn't say anything!" CJ said sarcastically.
Leo raised an eyebrow at her. CJ smirked as Leo entered the room. It was nice to have some company. Even if she loved Simon, it was to have someone to talk to.
"What did the doctors say?" Leo said, taking his coat off.
"They said he'll be out for a while. He's looking good though apparently!" CJ tutted.
"Right. How long do you want me to stay?" Leo asked.
"As long as I'm here."
"Course."
CJ nodded and then returned to her seat next to the bed. Leo took the seat near the window. Luckily he had remembered to bring a book with him. He didn't want to disturb CJ so thought it would be better if he brought one.

Bartlett had finally made his way to the residence. Abby would be furious! To be honest Bartlett hoped that Abby was still in bed and wouldn't have to hear about it until later.
"And where have you been?!" A voice came from in front of him.
Bartlett gulped as he saw the outline of his wife.
"Abby." Bartlett smiled.
"Don't Abby me! Where have you been?"
"I had work to do."
"I know you did." Abby became clearer.
"The others stayed the night well what was left of it." Bartlett put an arm around her.
"I heard. Agent Butterfield has come to see me."
"Ron? What did he want?"
"He gave me the police report just before you got here." Abby smiled.
Bartlett stopped in his tracks. Abby turned and smiled her white teeth at him. Bartlett sighed with a massive smile on his face.
"I'll read it later." Bartlett finally said.
"How's CJ?"
"She'll be fine. We'll hear more when she comes back."
"And Sam and Josh?"
"Gone home until this evening."
"Alright for some!"
"Abby."
Abby tutted as they both walked further into the residence. It was nice to have some time to themselves with everything else going on outside.
