CONGRATULATIONS phyl737! I was actually looking for the more positive side, that they both have adopted parents, but your answer works too!

"You're finally home!" Carla exclaimed as Sue and Jack walked into the house.
Sue looked around the bustling house with wide eyes, then squeezed them shut. Oh, I forgot my brothers and their families were coming in today."
Jack touched her shoulder. "It's OK. You spend it with your family. I'll get the case ready."
"No, I want to help!" She complained. "We can figure out a way to focus in this chaos."
He chuckled. "Maybe you can, but I sure can't, it's too noisy."
"It'll calm down in a bit." Carla added. "Once I serve dinner, all the kids will be quiet as church mice!"
Jack chuckled. "It's worth it for me to stay just to see that." He said, seeing most of the kids running around, yelling and playing with each other.
"Let's find a quiet place, OK?" Sue suggested.
He nodded as they walked deeper into the house

Early the next day, Sue and Jack got to the agency early to make sure everything was prepared and ready. They all stayed up late in the night to get everything organized. They were ready, despite the chaos, which thankfully subsided when dinner was served, just like Carla said.
"OK YOU?" Jack asked as they walked into Sue's office, seeing her yawn.
Sue nodded. "LONG NIGHT HELP NOT."
He nodded in reply. "FEEL SAME."
"HAVE IDEA FOR FIX."
He looked at her curious.
"CATCH BAD WOMAN." She replied, smiling. "AFTER, SLEEP!"
He chuckled. "TRUE BUISNESS US-TWO NEED DO-DO THAT."
Sue smiled as she sat down in her chair to wait for Mya and Josh's appointment.
"US-TWO NEED DECIDE SOMETHING." He signed as he too, sat down.
"WHAT?" She replied, not knowing what he was referring to.
"TOMORROW HALLOWEEN COSTUME." He replied.
"OH-I-SEE." She signed, remembering the party. "HAVE COSTUME IDEA?"
He shook his head. "THAT WHY ME-ASK-YOU."
She chuckled. "DON'T KNOW!
He laughed as well. "MAYBE US-TWO GO-TO PARTY COSTUME WHO? OURSELF."
"WE GOOD TEAM, RIGHT?" Sue signed, smiling.
He nodded. "YES."
?-?
"You good?" Josh asked, seeing Mya staring out the car window, into space.
"Yeah. Just gearing myself up." She distractedly said.
"We can do this without you, you know."
She quickly shook her head. "No. I need to do this.
He nodded as he drove, understanding, but also hoped she knew what she was doing. Soon enough, they had arrived at the agency. They went inside, and sat in the waiting room.
Mya looked around. Those poor office workers didn't have a clue as to what was soon going to happen. She was sure they didn't even know what Kim was doing, so they were innocent, and starting tomorrow, out of a job.
"Mr. and Mrs. Rankin," Kim called.
Mya and Josh got up and followed her inside the office.
"I have great news, we have a new person that will be handling adoptions. I will be transferring you to her. There's only one catch. She's deaf. Do you mind?" Kim asked, pausing in the hallway, just before Sue's office.
Mya shrugged. "That's fine."
Kim smiled through her mask. "Great." She said, then knocked on Sue' door.
Jack touched Sue's shoulder. "KIM." He signed.
Sue nodded. "GO AHEAD."
"Come in." He said for Sue.
"Hello! Here is the couple I was telling you about, Mr. and Mrs. Rankin." Kim said. Jack interpreted.
"Hello, nice to meet you. My name's Sue. Please sit down." Jack said for Sue.
Mya and Josh smiled through their masks as they sat down across the desk. Jack positioned himself near the door, across from Sue so he could easily understand, and Kim pulled up a chair on the side of the desk.
"They're looking to adopt a child. Have you finished the paperwork?" Kim asked.
"Yeah, but there's one thing we'd like to ask you." Josh said.
"Ask away." Kim said, smiling.
"Do you sleep at night, knowing what you've done?" Mya asked.
"I-I'm sorry, what?" Kim stuttered, the smile quickly disappearing from behind the mask.
"All those babies you sold, the ones that had loving mothers that you stole, and the ones that you sold for exorbitant prices. They'll all come to haunt you one day." Josh said.
"Especially in jail, when you'll have all the time in the world to think. FBI." Jack said, holding up his badge.
"I, I, I," Kim said, looking at the four of them. "What?"
"Sure, you did some good work, for the sole sake of covering up the bad. Look at me. I'm one of them. Look who I've become. But there's one thing I'll never have because of you; the chance to meet my birth parents. When you were shut down in Kansas, all your records, both the bad and the good, were locked away forever, and I will never get to know them. Ever. That's the same for everyone else that has been adopted through you. We will never know. For some, it doesn't matter. For others, it does. This hole I have, this wondering, will never be quelled. It will go on for the rest of my life because of you. How does that make you feel?" Mya said, all fired up. Kim just stared at her with wide eyes.
"Mya." Josh quietly said, touching her shoulder to calm her down.
"Enjoy your stay in jail. I've never wished imprisonment on anyone, until you." She finished.
"You're under arrest." Jack said, handcuffing her, then leading her out of the room.
Once gone from her view, Mya quickly turned, and sobbed into Josh's shoulder. She stayed like that for minutes. Josh and Sue exchanged glances, unsure what they could do to help her. Well, Sue knew. She just hoped she could. Quickly and quietly, she left the room to do her task, leaving the couple alone.
?-?
"Found it!" Sue exclaimed to her computer. It was afternoon, and everyone was home. They all decided that they had a busy week, and should take the afternoon off. Josh took Mya home and stayed with her while Sue and Jack took Kim in. Now, the couple were at their home, Jack starting dinner.
"Found what?" Jack asked, waving for her attention.
Sue smiled widely at him. "Something special, you'll see. I need to make a call." She said as she closed her computer, and walked into the living room to make her call.
Jack chuckled and shook her head. "What does she have up her sleeve now?"
