The group all flew across the sea following Jet until they spot the thieves ship heading towards a beam of light being projected by the oracle who then said, "You have arrived". The team watched as the earth began to shake and then suddenly a huge temple rose out of the sea, water pouring out of the windows and suddenly a giant head bursts through the water and the temple was revealed to be on a shell "It's on a giant turtle" Jet said like even he thought this was weird. "I guess it makes sense considering in keeps appearing in different places" Tails said although he was just as surprised. They flew around the temple and spotted the thieves along with Jules heading inside "Alright here's the plan, Knuckles I want you make sure the turtle stays up for as long as possible" "On it!" Knuckles put his thumbs up before flying off. "Tails you come with me, we'll deal with Scourge and save my Dad" "I got you're back" Tails responded "Everyone else I want you to keep the thieves busy" Jet then grinned "I'm gonna get to their ship, I might be able to get us some reinforcements". Jet flew off when everyone else jumped down in front of the thieves "Eat cold steel, flesh bags" Omega immediately started shooting, Scourge in the confusion grabbed Jules and they headed towards the temple.
Blade and Fang were in a one on one sword fight equally matched until Blade was able to push Fang back "Ha, you can't beat me I'm the best swordsman in all-" as she was talking Fang pulled out his revolver and shot her sword in half. Blade was shocked speechless while Fang had and incredibly smug look on his face "You were saying". Omega was trying to shoot down Metal who was flying around him "Always wanted to test these" two small missiles were shot out of Omegas arms and followed Metal wherever he went eventually hitting him and launching him away. Amy was taking on Neo who flew above her "You can't get me up here your highness" he said mockingly but Amy grinned "Oh you think do you" she ran forward and then hit the ground with her hammer launching her right above Neo. "Oh, this is gonna hurt" he said in a defeated tone right before he was smashed back down to earth. Mecha was firing a laser beam at Blaze which she was holding back with a beam of fire, the two were struggling to hold the energy but Blaze slowly walked forward eventually making right in front of Mecha. She grabbed his hands stopping the laser and they began to melt "I'm going to let go of you now, you better start running" she told him which he happily obeyed.
Grounder was charging at Shadow who didn't seem fazed at all as he was just talking to himself "All Hail Shadow, yeah I should make that a song" Grounder was about to hit Shadow with his drill hand but it suddenly turned into a pumpkin. This obviously confused Grounder "WHAT, WHAT, PUMPKIN, WHAT!" Shadow finally looks at him "Never bring a pumpkin to a genie fight" Grounder was expecting something impressive but Shadow just roundhouse kicked him on the back of the head. Silver was taking on Mephiles who fired a beam that Silver just dodged, he then grabbed Mephiles with his powers "It's no use" he yelled before repeatedly smashing Mephiles on the ground. Zazz came up behind an unsuspecting Silver when "HEY ZAZZ!" he turned around to see Jet, Storm and Wave heading straight for him on their extreme gear. They jumped off and the boards hit Zazz in the chest launching him into a wall. Knuckles meanwhile was dressed like a wrestler repeatedly punching the head of the turtle then he turned into a host "Oh my god it's a spin attack, a drill dive" host knuckles is revealed to be floating on water inside the turtles mouth "He now appears to have been eaten by the turtle everybody, he can take that off his bucket list".
Scourge and Jules were just at the entrance when suddenly "HEY!" Tails flew towards then and punched Scourge who got knocked back. Tails came round to do the same thing again but Scourge got back on his feet and grabbed the foxes arms before he could "Did you really think you could beat me" Tails however smiled "Not really, that's why I'm the distraction". Before Scourge could question him, Sonic spin dashed right in his back knocking him out. Tails and Sonic both got the shackles off a confused Jules "You came back for me?" Sonic smiled "What else would I have done. Now come on let's get that treasure" the three of them then entered the temple. They eventually found them selves in a large room with the metal virus floating above a platform above them. Before they could react the ground began to shake "Your friend isn't going to keep the turtle up forever, we have to climb" the three of them started climbing the wall when water started to flood the room which terrified Sonic.
They eventually made it to the top of a statue that was right next to the metal virus, the sight of which would have brought Jules to tears if he had any. "The container allows the virus to reproduce inside but once it leaves it can only live a short time. That platform is carried by older technology, I don't know if will be able to carry the three of us". Sonic and Tails ran forward like they didn't even hear Jules and Tails lifted Sonic off the statue and they flew over to the platform "Be careful!" Jules yelled after them. Tails looked smug "It pays to have a partner". Sonic took the floating container "Heads up!" he threw it over to Jules who caught it, he slowly opened the lid for the container and poured a small amount over the statue he was standing on and the entire statue tuned gold causing him to watch in wonder "After all these years". They began to celebrate but the water started to rise even faster "We have to go now!" Jules yelled to them but suddenly Scourge jumped down onto the platform from a higher level. "No ones going anywhere now give me the virus Jules or your son dies" "Scourge your fight is with me not them!" Sonic and Tails looked ready to fight "Don't worry Dad we can take him on our own". "I've left you on your own for to long Son" Jules slightly loosened the lid for the container "Scourge you want the metal virus WELL TAKE!" he threw the virus towards the platform.
Scourge pushed Sonic and Tails out of the way and grabbed the virus and started laughing "Haha, the virus is mine, now where were we" he looked at Sonic and Tails with a psychotic smile. Sonic and Tails however didn't look at him with fear but with shock "What are you two staring at" he then had a strange feeling in his hand and looked down. The virus had partially leaked out of the container and was turning his hand gold and it wasn't stopping there, all Scourge could do was watch in fear "NO, NO HELP ME AAAHHHH" the gold spread up his body until it covered him completely causing him to go silent. The golden statue that was Scourge fell off the platform and into the water, Sonic and Tails looked over to a grinning Jules "It's a good thing the virus is defective, I would have hated to see a zombot version of Scourge". Sonic then watched the container for a second and the small trace of virus on the outside died, so he picked it up and made sure the lid was on tight. Water began to overflow the platform "Tails please tell me you can carry the three of us" Tails actually looked offended at this question "If I can carry Omega, I can carry you guys". Tails flew up and Sonic grabbed on to his legs, they then flew over to Jules who did the same thing to Sonic and Tails then flew up and smashed through the glass ceiling making it to the top off the temple. "I must say Tails, I can see how my son has survived for so long with you by his side" Tails felt pride at that comment. Sonic handed his father the virus "After all these years you've finally have your treasure".
Jules smiled at his son before unexpectedly throwing the virus off the edge of the roof, before Sonic could react Jules pulled him into a hug, the first one he felt was actually coming from his father. "You are my treasure son, I'm only sorry it took me so long to realise it" Sonic felt very warm inside to hear this and hugged his father back "Oh what the hell" Tails said before joining in. Unbeknownst to them the virus landed on the ship that the remaining thieves were trying to escape on, the lid fell off and the entirety of the virus spiled onto the deck turning the entire ship into gold. They all started celebrating before Mephiles pointed something out "Uh guys, gold doesn't float" the ship began to sink leaving the last of the Forty Thieves stranded at sea. Sonic, Jules and Tails jumped off the roof and Jules yelled "Catch us you blasted death machine!" Omega then suddenly flew in his hovercraft transformation and caught them surprising Sonic "Dad you trust Omega?" "With my life son". Omega was happy "I'm finally getting the respect I deserve".
"Wait, what about the others" Tails and Sonic said in unison before Silver and Shadow appeared flying with Jet, Storm and Wave arriving on their extreme gear with the others as passengers. Storm and Wave were happy to see Jules "Hi boss!" Storm said which made Jules laugh. The turtle fully dived into the ocean which worried Silver and Shadow "Where's Knuckles" they said in unison and as if to answer there question the turtle pushed it's head out of the sea and spat out a ship being captained by and orange racoon with an Australian accent. The ship disappeared and Knuckles appeared in front of them "Present" knowing that everyone's safe Sonic looked over to Amy "We have some unfinished business" he smiled at her and they al headed back to Shamar.
In the palace hall Sonic and Amy were at the alter in there wedding clothes, they looked into each other's eyes and then kissed as newlyweds. The whole crowd began to cheer, Blaze started launching fireballs out the windows to make fireworks and Silver was standing next to her looking strangely nervous. Knuckles gave Fang a high five, King Rose ran over and gave his daughter a hug as Tails did the same to his friend. Shadow who was standing next to Omega looked on the verge of tears "I am a man, I'm a-" Omega then handed him a hankey which he took "Thanks buddy" "Do not mention it" Omega responded has Shadow blew his nose. Sonic and Amy began walking back down the isle and Sonic was able to see his father watching from behind a pillar, the two men smiled at each other before Jules turned and walked away to meet with Storm and Wave. Jet then appeared looking concerned "You guys are out in the open with no masks, pretty risky if you ask me" Jules didn't seem worried "Any risk is worth seeing your son's wedding". "So, what are you doing here, come to say goodbye?" Wave asked, Jet looked sad "No I already said my goodbyes, of course they all had a cry about and that got me going". Storm looked confused "Wait why would you be saying goodbye to them" Jet rolled his eyes "I'm not staying with the newlyweds, far to mushy for me". Jules jumped on a horse and Storm and Wave got on there extreme gear "Well we have no idea where we're going but you're welcome to come" Jet smiled at this and got on his own extreme gear "You're good guys, but not to good". The four of them then rode off as Storm and Wave welcomed their new teammate.
Peddler- So it goes, short and sweet
(Sonic and Amy walk out of the hall and outside face a crowd)
They were wed down the street
(There followed by all their friends)
May their marriage be truly blessed
(Amy throws the bouquets into the crowd but before it lands a green glow surround it and it flew into a surprised Blaze's arms)
Happy end to the tale
(She turns to look at a very nervous looking Silver, but she happily kisses him)
And tomorrow's a sale
(A peddler who looks suspiciously like Vector is selling wedding merchandise on the street)
So I'd better go home and rest
(Sonic and Amy riding on Omega stop in front of the peddler)

(He shows the couple a rug with there faces on it)

(They fly out of the city into the desert)

The four new thieves continue their journey through the desert as Sonic and Amy kiss in front of the moon.
"In front of the moon" Vector had finally finished the last part of the story and Charmy looked happy "That was great Vector" Vector looked very pleased with himself when Espio came in with a lot of bags. "Hey Espio, where've you been?" "Well while you were telling your story, I have paid our water bill, electric bill, replace the lightbulbs and bought food that we can put in our now working fridge". Vector looked worried at this "So, how much is left for the TV" "None, the TV we have is fine" Vector sighed at this then realised something "Wait why are you wearing an earphone" now Espio looked worried "Uh, Ninja stuff" he then quickly walked out of the room. "Alright Charmy time for bed" "What, I'm not tired" Vector looked annoyed "We we're on that plane for eight hours and I just spent another three telling you the story now go to bed" Charmy went off to his room muttering to himself. Now that Charmy was out of the room Vector examined his desk to see if his suspicions were true, eventually finding one of Espio's bugging devices "Ha, he was listening to the whole thing, I knew that Ninja had a childhood stashed away somewhere.
