So I'm just going to go ahead and upload the rest of the story so I can get to the next book since I'm not getting much reviews. Hope I have better look with book II.
So here's chapter ten, enjoy!
Prince Haru couldn't believe it, he passed his brother, who was perfect at everything. And he managed to shut Sarafina's muzzle. A cracking sound caused the brown cub to focus on the now. He moved his green eyes down just as the bark he was standing on broke in half. Sending Haru falling with a yelp.
"Ah!"
He landed with a grunt. He opened his eyes and saw nothing but dirt. He tried to climb out but the walls were to steep. As he gave up, he slid down the dusty ground on his stomach. He looked around, his eyes swelling up with tears and the sounds of laughter didn't help either.
"Help!"
Haru didn't get a answer, he started to think the worst before shaking his head. No! Muffy wouldn't leave me. He'll return with their parents. But as he thought that he couldn't help but put a paw over his face and cry. Why did he come down here? To prove to Sarafina and his little brother that he wasn't useless. He felt like it was forever before the sounds of laughter got closer. But it wasn't laughter he recognized.
His body stiffened as he looked up just as three pairs of beady yellow eyes stared at him over the edge.
"Hey! Whatcha doin' down there?"
He was looking at three hyena pups. He stared in fear as he took a unnecessarily step back. He voice got caught causing him to gasp out of fear.
"I think he's stuck." quired a hyena pup with a darker colour muzzle.
The one that spoke first glared at him, her black bangs falling between her eyes. "Of course he's stuck, you idiot!"
The darker colour muzzle pup turned his attention back on Haru. "Hey, are you stuck?"
The female pup gave a annoyed look as well as, 'you got to be kidding me.' The darker colour muzzle pup didn't get a response so he lowered his head back over the edge. The female had to fight the erge to push him over.
"Can you hear us?!"
Haru just looked, he wasn't sure what was happening. But the next word from the darker colour muzzle pup got a reaction.
"Maybe he's dumb, like Eddy..."
Haru growled as he glared, defining his self. "H-hey! I am not dumb!"
"So you do talk! We thought thought ya might been dumb like Ed, the way you fell in that hole." the female pup said sticking her head over the edge.
The dark colour muzzle pup nodded with a laugh. "Yeah, only Ed is that dumb!"
The two looked over to a stupid looking pup with grins on their muzzles. "Right Ed?"
Ed nodded simple but goofy. How dare they compare him, a prince to that. He glared up at the laughing pups.
"I didn't just fall in, the old bark broke an...wait! I shouldn't be talking to you! You are evil and dangerous!"
"Who are you calling evil?! We weren't the ones that left you out here or whatever!"
Haru frowned before glaring at the pups. "My brother will come! Along with our parents!"
...
The light gold princess watched as her friends ran around the watering hole, in playful fright from Cassiel, who was 'it'.
Isla couldn't find the energy to run around and play. Her energy and concertration was into worrying about her brothers and friends, even though Sarafina gets on her nerves she still didn't want anything to happen to her.
"Isla! Come play!"
Isla shook her head to mentally clear her thoughts before looking at the dark red cub that called her to play. "Sorry, Cassiel. I am just not in the mood."
Cassiel looked at his friend with concern in his dark brown eyes before trotting over to Isla. "I'm sure they're fine."
"Everyone look! They're back!"
Isla and everyone else looked from Zira to see Mufasa, Adela and Sarafina running over like a monster was behind them.
Isla frowned when she saw someone missing. She got to her paws and rushed to her golden brother. "Mufasa, where's Haru?"
Mufasa was breathing heavily as he tried to regain his normal heart rate. "He's...in the graveyard...stuck in a hole...hyenas..."
"And you left him!" Isla nearly roared.
Mufasa strunk back. Isla was always calm and collected. Never blowing up like she is now and it kind of scared him.
Sarafina didn't want to leave but didn't want to upset her father either. Narrowing her blue eyes, the creamy cub jumped in defining their actions.
"If we didn't then we couldn't get help."
Isla wanted to strike her. "You stupid fools. One of you could of stayed." without another word the light gold princess ran off towards the graveyard.
She wasn't scared of any hyenas. She was more scared of the fact her brother was in danger. Isla had made it to the border when she saw two tan colored paws climb up, she sighed in relief when she seen that it was her brother.
Haru was surprised to see her, especially after he had to be saved by the hyena matriarch. He was more tooken back after the younger cub embrace him, he could feel warm tears on his dusty coat.
"I was so worried. How you get out?"
Haru looked away before sighing. "Idris. She got me out."
Isla frowned before nuzzling the brown cub again. "I'm just glad you're alright."
Haru nodded, feeling unsure but definitely upset. His brother abandoned him, he's not sure if he's ever going to forgive him. "Come on. Let's go home."
Isla smiled lightly before following her brother as he headed towards the rocky fortress. When the two passed the watering hole, they were greeted by a very worried Uru. The goldish lioness nuzzled and licked her cubs.
"Why did you two run away?"
Isla and Haru shared looks before looking at their mother with confusion in their eyes. Uru sighed before nuzzling her cubs again.
"Mufasa, Adela and Sarafina said you two ran off."
Isla gasped as Haru scowled. Haru instantly made up his mind, he definitely won't be forgiving his brother.
...X...
"How can you be so reckless!" Uru growled sternly as she paced in front of her three cubs.
Isla lowered her head as Mufasa looked away with his ears pinned. Haru sat in between Mohatu's large paws glaring at his brother that he despises.
"You, young lady are not off the hook. You're older you know better." Jaser said with narrowed dark brown eyes on his daughter.
"As well as you, Sarafina." Sanura said with her eyes locked on her daughter.
Haru and Isla had returned and confined to their grandfather what really happened. Causing everyone to get in trouble. Mufasa already felt awful about leaving his brother, now he's giving him the shoulder.
Haru curled up and before he closed his eyes he vowed to make Mufasa pay.
The Next Morning
King Ahadi woke up to find his side empty. The bronze lion stood and exited the cave to find his mate sitting at the peak.
"My Diamond, what are you doing out here?"
Uru sighed deeply. "The cubs are getting older, Ahadi. We need to tell the cubs the truth about Haru and that Mufasa is going to be king."
Ahadi wanted to protest but knew that his mate was right. "When do you wish to do it?"
Uru took a deep breath. "Today. Would you mind getting the cubs?"
Ahadi nuzzled the goldish lioness before going back to enter the cave. To later exit back out with their cubs following.
Uru breathed deeply before turning her amber eyes on her children. "Your father and I have something to tell you."
"What is it?" Mufasa asked.
Somehow Haru had a feeling what the queen wanted to them at least Mufasa and Isla.
With a deep breath Haru turned to Mufasa and Isla. "I'm not exactly your brother. Mom-I mean the king and queen took me in after my parents died."
Mufasa pinned his ears before embracing the older cub. Causing Haru to grimace. "You're still our brother."
Isla nodded in agreement before looking at their parents along with Haru and Mufasa.
Ahadi cleared his throat before looking at Uru who nodded. With a in take of breath, the king addressed his cubs. "There's the matter of who's going to rule. Even though Haru is older he can't rule so the future king will be Mufasa."
Haru kind of knew this would happen but it hurt all the same.
Uru saw the hurt flashed across Haru's face and frowned. "But you two would be advisors."
Haru looked at Mufasa and instantly had a nasty feeling. His brother didn't even want the throne. But he shook it off before going back in the cave to get more sleep.
AN; So the truth is out. What do you think?
