A scroll lands at her feet, making Mōdoku to look around. Seeing no one, she senses around her. Noticing Sakae hiding her chakra, she looks over at her questioning, "Why are you hiding again? Haven't you already tested my acuteness in sensing supressed chakra?".
Sakae appears from where she was looking. Shrugging, "I was testing to see if you could still sense me, when I am focussing only on suppressing my chakra".
Mōdoku picks up the scroll reading it. She notices that it is a mission. Reading over the details she sees that they are too go outside the village to transfer supplies to an outpost.
Realising that she finally gets to go outside the village, Mōdokus tiredness leaves instantly. She looks over at Sakae enquiring, "Seeing as the mission is tomorrow do you want me to tell the others?".
The question causes Sakae to rub her head, "You go tell Aiya, I will deal with Saburo".
Nodding Mōdoku rushes out, towards the direction of the Hyuga compound.
She arrives at the gates and informs the guards her reason for entering. Asking about the direction of Aiyas house.
Mōdoku follows their directions and arrives at a house.
She knocks on the door, still excited about the mission.
When the door opens, she sees an adult. Mōdoku nods at her asking, "Miss Hyuga can you let me in? I have to see Aiya and hand her a scroll for a mission we are going on tomorrow".
Mōdoku sees the woman's eyes pass over her before she is asked, "You must be Mōdoku? Aiya has told me a lot about you".
She nods at the question, walking forward as Aiyas mother leads her inside.
Upon entering the house, she notices that everything is quite sparse, her own house having many oddities around.
She sees Aiya in a room reading over a scroll.
Aiyas mother calls out, causing her to peak over at them. Noticing Mōdoku she smiles, stands up and asks, "What are you doing here Momo?".
Mōdoku nods at her and tosses her the mission scroll. "Mission".
The unexpected toss caused Aiya to fumble, almost dropping it.
Looking back up to Mōdoku she sighs, unfolding and reading the scroll. Seeing the contents, she looked up at Mōdoku.
"We're going out?".
Seeing the excitement on Aiyas face Mōdoku replies, "Yeah, it's tomorrow, so ensure everything's ready".
Aiya paused, looking up at her mother. Her mother seeing her look, indicates, "It's fine sweetie missions take priority over your lessons".
Walking over to Aiya her mother squeezes her cheek. "Just be careful, the village is in a war".
Mōdoku noticing the atmosphere, decides to step outside to give them some privacy.
After some time Aiyas mother steps out.
Mōdoku goes over to her and asks, "Miss Hyuga, you wouldn't happen to know if Akiri is in the village, would you?".
Mōdoku question causes her to pause before she replies, "I don't believe so, however I could be mistaken".
Mōdoku starts walking towards the door, deflated somewhat. Aiya rushes out of her room and grabs Mōdoku. "You're leaving without saying goodbye?".
Mōdoku anticipating the action had turned so her back was facing the direction Aiya came from.
Aiyas mother motions them to both go outside. "See Mōdoku off dear, you have to get ready".
Aiya nods and starts to take Mōdoku outside. Once she is outside, she questions, "Why did you want to know where Akiri is?".
Mōdoku flops in Aiyas arms. "My father and mother have been on missions for some time, so I planned to ask her if she knew how they were".
Hoisting Mōdoku to her feet Aiya responds, "If you want, I can ask around to see if anyone has seen her"
Standing up and leaving Aiyas grasp she comments, "There's no need, it was only a small matter. Anyway, I will leave a message for them in case they return before we do".
Aiya nods, waving to Mōdoku, "See you in the morning then Momo".
Waving back, she responds, "Yep, see you". Before going on her way.
While heading back to her place Mōdoku thinks about what Sakae is going to do with Saburo. As, he has been absent from each team exercise they have had.
Dismissing the thought as unimportant, she returns to her house.
Entering it she walks about until she enters her room, where she grabs a pack and her weapon pouches checking the contents and double checking the state of her weapons.
Noticing that they were all in good condition she walked up to her dresser and grabbed a pen and paper. Writing 'I am on a mission outside the village, will be back in 1-2 weeks'.
Having finished the preparations, she checked how much time was left. Seeing the time, she sighed, "I've still got a bit of time before I should head to sleep, I'll have to do something else in the meantime"
She contemplated training another ninjutsu, however the time was limited. She went passed the idea, as she had learnt three ninjutsus in the few previous days.
Unable to come up with any important tasks, se decides to sit and sense the flow of chakra in her body until she fell asleep.
Although it was a whim at first, she become entranced with the way her chakra flowed. After zoning out for a while, she checked the time again.
Noticing that it was passed midnight she decided to quickly get to sleep.
Laying down in her bed, she closed her eyes and fell asleep.
The morning rays caused her slumber to be interrupted. Mōdoku layed in the bed for a few seconds. While stretching she recalled the mission. Looking at the time she felt relieved, she wasn't late.
She quickly got up and headed out the door.
Arriving at the place Sakae had arrived she nodded to Aiya who had arrived earlier than her.
The response was a somewhat slurred, "Morning momo".
Mōdoku smiled, "You also had trouble falling asleep?"
