Chapter 8- Knightfall.

Bruce stood on top of a roof, observing the Bat-Signal. He gently removed his cowl and stared at the Bat-Signal.

He then put the cowl down and walked to the edge of the roof overlooking Gotham City.

Tapping his comms, he said. "It's over. Gotham is safe."

"Thank you, Bruce", Gordon said from the other side. "For everything."

"See you soon, Jim." Bruce said.

Summoning the jet, he used a grappling hook and jumped up into the jet which flew away while the Bat-Signal powered down.

Wayne Manor, later.

The jet landed and Bruce exited, walking towards the front door. It opened and an old man stood there, looking pleased at seeing Bruce.

"Is it done, Master Bruce?" Alfred Pennyworth asked.

"It is, Alfred. It's all over." Bruce confirmed, sighing softly before walking inside.

"The GCPD have been dispatched to reclaim the streets of Gotham. It appears as though your efforts have succeeded." Alfred noted.

"I'm glad it has." Bruce said softly.

"You should require as much rest as you can, Master Bruce." Alfred said in a concerned tone.

"I will, Alfred. But only after everything has returned to normal." Bruce said before walking out of Wayne Manor.

Liam walked up to where Kate and Dinah were discussing something.

"Hey guys, how are you?" Liam asked.

"Very good, now that those Jokers are gone." Kate replied.

"Agreed, we're going to send Joker to the lowest parts of Arkham and the others will also be sent there." Liam said.

"That's good, though I don't know why we keep sending them back, considering that they keep escaping every time." Dinah said.

"This time they won't." Liam said firmly.

"And Terry is gone." Kate added sadly.

"Maybe", Liam allowed. "One thing I've learnt is that the Multiverse is an unpredictable place."

Bruce stood on a rooftop when he heard footsteps behind him and turned to see Dick, Barbara, Tim and Stephanie standing there.

"What is it?" Dick asked.

"I am sorry", Bruce said immediately, taking them back with the sincerity in his voice. "For everything that happened between us. I take full responsibility."

"Oh!" Dick said, the four students exchanging looks, none of them having expected that.

"I know that you might not trust me, but I would like to work together again." Bruce said.

"It will take a while Bruce", Stephanie said softly. "I can't speak for the others, but I'd be willing to work again with you."

"I understand", Bruce nodded. "What about the rest of you?"

"Same as Steph over here", Dick said, crossing his arms. "But it will take a while."

"Thank you all. And I'm sorry." Bruce said softly. The five nodded and then walked off, leaving Bruce alone.

Few days later.

Bruce, Selina, Liam, Kate, Dinah, Alfred, Wayne, Bats, Batman and Gordon stood over Poison Ivy's grave in the cemetery. They were the only ones in attendance.

"Pamela was a flawed but brave person", Bruce spoke, making all look at him. "A scientist who only wanted to help people but was instead sent on a path of villainy. But she redeemed herself by helping save all of Gotham."

He then looked solemnly at the casket.

"Be at peace, Pamela", he said softly. "You earned it."

With that, the funeral ended.

Arkham Asylum, later.

Bruce and Liam stood in there suits as Gordon and the police were there with Joker, Hugo Strange, Two-Face, Scarecrow and Man-Bat all of whom were cuffed and blindfolded.

"You can take care of them, right?" Liam asked.

"Piece of cake", Gordon assured him. "They won't get out anytime soon."

"Good", Bruce nodded. "Take care, Jim."

"You too, Batman." Gordon said.

Later.

Gordon entered his apartment to see Barbara standing there.

"Babs?" He asked in shock.

"Dad." Barbara greeted, her eyes glistening with tears.

Without another word, Gordon rushed over and hugged his daughter and she eagerly returned it.

"I missed you so much." Gordon whispered.

"Me too dad and I'm sorry for leaving and not even calling." Barbara said.

"Its okay, Babs", Gordon assured. "All that matters is that we're back."

"Yes." Barbara agreed.

Liam opened a holographic screen to see Jason on the other side.

"Hey bro, how have you been?" Jason asked kindly.

"All right", Liam allowed. "We beat the Jokers we have been fighting."

"Glad to hear that." Jason beamed.

"But Terry died", Liam said. "Only thing was that we didn't find his body."

"Then he might not be dead." Jason shrugged. "Only time will tell."

Liam was left confused by that, but shrugged it off as Jason offered him a reassuring smile.

Wayne Manor, few days later.

Bruce, Selina, Liam, Dinah, Kate, Wayne, Bats and Batman all stood together.

"Thank you for helping out." Bruce said to the other Batmen who nodded.

"Not a problem", Wayne said simply. "At least the Multiverse now has one less threat."

"Agreed. But there will always be another fight and bigger, stronger enemies." Selina pointed out.

"And we'll face them all together." Batman assured as all nodded.

"Well, I better get back to my world as well, so the Batman can take on some more colorful criminal masterminds." Bats said, making all chuckle.

Batman opened a breach and stepped through it with Wayne and Bats soon following.

Soon it was just Team Batman left.

"What now?" Kate asked. "What happens now?"

"We take the longest vacation in the history of vacations." Dinah said, making all laugh.

"Yeah", Bruce agreed, slugging his arm over Kate's shoulder. "Let's do just that."

Earth-2005, later.

Wayne, now in a suit, walked into the restaurant to see Selina Kyle sitting there in a form fitting blue dress.

"Hey." Wayne said as he sat down in front of her.

"Bruce", she greeted. "What happened? Did everything go well?"

"Well, we don't have to worry about Jokers causing mayhem again", Wayne told her with a smile. "Let's just relax and enjoy the moment."

Earth-38.

Bats walked towards a door of a shabby apartment with flowers in his hand, a smile on his face. He had talked to Liam earlier who told him to give it a shot.

Bats knocked on the door and Selina Kyle opened it, wearing a form fitting black dress.

"If it isn't the billionaire", she said with a smirk. "These parts are dangerous for people like you to wander alone, Mr. Wayne."

"I know, but I do crazy things." Bats said as he held up the flowers and Selina took them with a smile.

"Do you want to come do some crazy things with me?" Bats asked as he held out his arm.

"But of course." Selina replied as she took it and both walked away together.

And this is done at last!

So now Joker and the other remaining villains have been locked away and won't be causing any more trouble, thankfully.

Also, Earth-1 Alfred is still played by Michael Caine as he absolutely nailed it and he is my faviroute Alfred.

And now the Bat-Family has reunited with Bruce at last, but don't worry, they will rekindle soon enough, but Arkham Knight has vanished.

Earth-2005 Selina is still played by Anne Hathaway. In case anyone's forgotten, all 3 NolanVerse films are canon to this series.

And imagine Earth-38 Selina being played by Caitlin FitzGerald, who is actually Aiden Turner's girlfriend in real life and that was too good of an opportunity to pass up.

Now this chapter ends the main story and I hope it was a truly satisfying ending for all.

So I say thank you to everyone for the faviroutes, follows, reads, reviews, kind words, support and love, and we will meet again in the next and last chapter, which will be a bunch of post-credits scenes.
