Ethan was breathing heavy while he was down on one knee. He was covered in dirt and scratches. His Ace monster Ultimate Tyranno, a large black scaled dinosaur with yellow claws and three yellow horns on its head, stood in front of him.
He was facing Akio who had three monsters on the field, a black samurai, a large owl with armour, and a humaniod shark with golden armour.
"It´s time to finish it. My samurai´s effect destroys your Ultimate Tyranno !" Akio shouted with a smirk. Ethan gritted his teeth as his ace shattered. "And now he attacks you directly !" The black samurai charged forward and slashed across Ethan´s chest and he got sent flying backwards and crashing into the wall of a half standing house.

Ethan tried to get up but his body ached all over and his right arm hurted so much that it definitely was broken. Akio then walked over to Ethan. He bent down and took three of Ethan´s point cards. "I have to admint, you were better then I thought. But I don´t think you will be able to stay in the tournament in your condition." Akio grinned before he walked off. "Don´t forget to tell Morgan what I said to you earlier !"
Ethan tried to get up once more but it was no use. The pain was to much. He only gritted his teeth and watched Akio walking away. "Dammit..."
Action Field "Wonder Quartett", Jungle Area
Morgan was still in the jungle area, currently in the middle of a Duel against a boy.

"I activate the Action Card Cosmic Arrow which halves your Silent Magician´s attack !" Morgan said and a glowing arrow hit the white dressed, adult sized Magician with long spiky silver hair. Silent Magician ATK/1750
"Valkyrie Knight Eri, attack Silent Magician LV8 !" Morgan´s monster stabbed the Magician with her red trident, destroying it.
Boy LP 300-0 / Morgan WIN
The boy went over to Morgan and gave her his point card which contained eight points.
"That was a good Duel. I hope I can duel you again sometime." The boy said with a smile while holding out his hand.
Morgan smiled back and shook his hand. "Sure. I look forward to it."
The boy then left in the opposite direction. Morgan placed the point card into her pocket. With this one she had a total of twenty-two.
"I wonder how Brody and the others are doing so far ?" She said out loud to herself.
Action Fiel "Wonder Quartet", Lava Area
"Direct attack, Silver Claw !" Brody´s wolf crashed into his opponent and so ended the Duel.

Disappointed, the opponent threw his point card over to Brody and left. Brody smiled at his gained card before taking off to find another opponent.
Action Field "Wonder Quartet", Ice Area
Meanwhile in the Ice Area...
Lynn was taking on Mikiyo Naname, a female with blode hair and who wore a pink dress. Mikiyo controlled Gellendou in attack mode ( ATK/1700 DEF/0 ). The monster was two different monsters. One was a pink like alien and the other was green. Both had yellow disks around them like hula hoops.
Lynn controlled the Tuner monster Windwitch-Snow Bell, also in attack mode. A silver like bell with yellow stripes and white wings ( ATK/100 DEF/100 ).
TURN 5 Lynn LP 1500 Hand 3 / Mikiyo LP 2300 Hand 2
"I draw !" Lynn yelled. "I summon Moonlight Windwitch !" A girl with yellow hair appeared. She wears a dark purple witch hat and a dress with small silver moons attached.

"I use her effect. For each card I sent to the graveyard from my field and/or hand I can increase or reduce my Moonlight Windwitch´s level by one." Lynn held up a card from her hand. "This card will go to the graveyard and my Moonlight Windwitch´s level will increase by one !"
Moonlight Windwitch Lv. 5
"I tune Snow Bell with Moonlight Windwitch ! Synchro Summon ! Come forth, Windwitch- Fire Bell !" A witch with long yellow hair and blue eyes appeared. She is sitting on a dark red broom and wears a red witch hat and dress.

"When Windwitch-Fire Bell is Synchro Summoned, you take damage equal to the attack of all the monsters I used to Synchro Summon her !" Lynn said.
"What ?!" Yelled Mikiyo.
"Snow Bell was 100 while Moonlight Windwitch was 2200. The means a perfect 2300 points of damage to you !" Lynn said, pointing towards Mikiyo.
"No !" Yelled Mikiyo as she looked distressed. Fire Bell flew into the air and shards of fire begun flying at Mikiyo. They all landed around her and exploded, making Mikiyo fly backwards.

Mikiyo looked sad as she gave Lynn her point card. "Thank you." Lynn said with a soft voice. Mikiyo at this smiled a bit before she left.
In the Ruins Area
"That Action Card may helped you save your monster, but I will still win ! Since my Aria wasn´t able to destroy your monster, she can now inflict 800 damage to your lifepoints, and that is more than enough to end this Duel, right here and now ! Have an Encore, Aria !" Stacey shouted. She was dueling a girl from the Duel-Girls Club. Her monster, Aria The Melodious Dive, was a young woman with short purple hair and wearing a tight-fitting brown shirt, a big fluffy orange skirt and long brown boots. She has an orange wing on her back on the right side. ( ATK/1600 DEF/1200 )
Aria then begun to sing and an arrow of wind was created which then hit Stacey´s opponent, reducing her lifepoints to zero.
"Alright !" Stacey cheered for herself with a smile.
Back in the Jungle Area
Morgan smiles, having a confident feeling. "Well, I don´t think I need to worry about them."
Morgan then looked ahead. "It´s been over six hours now since the Battle Royale started. I think I should head to the ruins area now."
Morgan was about to walk but a voice stopped her. "You´re Morgan, right ? Wanna have a Duel with me ?"
Morgan looked up and saw a girl wearing a jacket from the Duel School Strong Dojo. She stood on a tree branch, ready to duel. Morgan thought for a moment before she smiled. "If you´re fine going up against me then okay. I accept your challenge."
"Duel !" Both girls then shouted with a smile.

Episode 10. All or nothing ! - End of Round 1
Both fields are empty. Morgan was putting up a good Duel, but her opponent Sarah wasn´t doing bad either. However, during the Duel, Morgan noticed that Sarah wasn´t really confident anymore like she was when she challenged her. ("I think I know what´s wrong.") Morgan thought with an understanding smile. She then laid her hand on her deck. It was her turn now.
Turn 8 Morgan LP 2500 Hand 1 / Sarah LP 2400 Hand 2
"My turn, I draw." Morgan took a card from her deck and held it out together with the other card in her hand. "With Scale 2 Valkyrie Knight Eri and Scale 10 Action-Buddy En Wing I set the Pendulum Scale !" Morgan played her cards and both monsters rose up in a pillar of light.

"I Pendulum Summon ! Reappear from my extra deck, Spirit The Pendulum Wolf !" The Pendulum Portal opened up between the two pillars of light and an orange beam shoot out and onto Ray´s field. The large wolf appeared and howled.

"Spirit, attack Sarah directly and end this Duel." Morgan said and Spirit howled once more before running towards Sarah.
Sarah looked around in attempt to find an Action Card but without luck. She then closed her eyes and accepted her upcoming defeat. Spirit jumped onto Sarah and pushed her down onto her back.

Morgan snapped her fingers and Spirit got off Sarah. He then bowed his head and disappeared. Morgan held out her hand and helped Sarah up once she took the offered hand.
"Thanks. Your interacting with your monsters during a Duel is really nice thing to watch." Sarah said with a smile. She grabbed a point card and held it out to Morgan. To her surprise, Morgan didn´t took the card and just held up her hand. "You can keep the card."
"Are you sure. The rules say..."
"I know what the rules say." Morgan said, interupting her. "But it is still my decision if I take the card or not, and I don´t want to take it."
"Okay. I accept your decision." Sarah said before putting the point card back into her pocket. "But why do you do this ?"
"Well, during our Duel I noticed that you were really stressed out, and I know that feeling all to well. You´re here in this tournament to help your school proof its dueling style, but the more you reach the higher rounds, the higher the pressure gets. And for newbies it´s even harder."
Sarah looked surprised. "How do you know I´m a newbie ?"
Morgan chuckled a bit. "You´re student at a Duel School that teaches a style where you´re supposed to stay still and endure the attacks of your opponents. However, you didn´t really stayed still and actually went for Action Cards."
"I joined the Strong Dojo about half a year ago. I do try to stand firm when I duel but I still get worried when I get pushed into a corner that I do go for Action Cards instead of enduring the hits." Sarah then looked down. "I actually didn´t wanted to duel at this tournament since I´m a newbie, but my mentor encouraged me and so I said yes since I owe him a lot."
Morgan placed her hand on Sarah´s shoulder and smiled. "I think you shouldn´t worry about being a newbie so much. Believe it or not but Mamoru, one of the teachers at your school, was also like you when he started to learn this style. It took him two whole years before he really mastered this dueling style and become the prfessional duelist he is now. So don´t rush it and take your time while also using the opportunitie to duel here as training."
"I guess you´re right. Thanks for being so honest and friendly even though we are opponents." Sarah said, smiling.
"You´re welcome." Morgan smiled back.
"Um Morgan ? Didn´t you say that you wanted to go to the ruins area next ?" Sarah then asked.
Morgan nodded. "Yeah. Why do you ask ?"
"You may said that you don´t want my point card, but I still want to give you something since you´re the winner. So in exchange for your victory I would like to show you a shortcut that leads directly into the middle of the ruins area."
"Really ?" Morgan asked, quite surprised.
Sarah nodded. "I used it to enter the Jungle area after I had enough of the ruins. It´s not to far away from were we are right now."
Morgan smiled. "If you really don´t mind then I gladly accept the offer."
"I really don´t mind. Let´s go right away, shall we ?" Morgan nodded and the two girls started to walk with Sarah leading the way.
Same time inside the stadium
"Well people, that´s what I really call fair play !" Nico Smiley shouted into his microphone with excitment. He was referring to Morgan´s actions.
"I really like Morgan. She is one of the coolest duelists here !" A voice said, coming from someone in the stands.
"I think she is to soft. This is a tournament, not a friendship contest." Another voice said.
"People sure think differently about such a topic." Emma said.
"Morgan is something special. Don´t you think, Emma ?" Mamoru, who sat next to her, asked.
Emma smiled. "Morgan has always been like this. She isn´t someone wo wants to win at all costs and just ignore someone´s feelings. She wants to help others by trying to understand their feelings and actions. She is brave, strong and a very kind person, but she also knows when she has to be serious. That´s what meakes her a great leader."
Mamoru smiled as well. "A leader huh ? So Junior really started thinking of making her the next principal of You Show once she is old enough ?"
"Yes, he started to think a bit about that topic. But he also wants her to make her own choices. She has her own life and so she should do whatever she thinks is the best for her." Emma replied.
"Say Emma... you have been taking care of Morgan since Junior disappeared, don´t you think that she already surpassed him ?" Mamoru asked.
"Honestly, yes. And the happy looking crowd is proof of that." Emma replied and then smiled. "Morgan´s feelings to her monsters are far more different then the feelings of other Duelists to their monsters. Morgan always says that she feels a very strong conection to some of her monsters and the same goes for Brody. And that feeling seems to get even more stronger when they use Lightning Mage and Odd-Eyes. That is one of the secrets of their strenght, I believe."
Mamoru sighed a bit. "I wish Junior could be here to see this. It has been three years now... I really wonder when he will come back... if he even wants or can come back."
"He´ll come back. And then he will see how much his sister has grown." Emma replied. Mamoru nodded and they both then continued to watch the Duels.
Action Field "Wonder Quartet", Ruins Area
Morgan and Sarah were standing before a stone wall were steps were leading down.
"Walking down this steps you reach a long corridor which leads directly into the middle of the ruins area." Sarah said before looking at Morgan. "Wanna go ?"
Morgan nodded. "Yes." The girls then walk down the steps and followed the corridor which has stone pillars on each side, as well as numerous torches lighting up the way. After a few minutes of walking, Morgan decided to cut the silence. "Why do I have the feeling that this corridor is something else ?"
Sarah looked at her. "What do you mean ?"
"Don´t you think it´s strange that an Action Field has an underground way like this ? I know the Spell Wonder Quartet and it never had such a thing before." Morgan said.
"Maybe it changed because of the latest upgrade of Real Solid Vision ?" Sarah suspects. "But don´t you think it´s much more fun like this ? Not knowing what lies ahead of you ?"
"Good point." Morgan said and they both started to laugh a bit. Sarah then saw a white light not to far ahead. "There. The end of the corridor."
Once the girls got nearer they could see a male figure standing at the exit. Sarah recognized him. "Hey, that´s my friend Leo !" She then started running. "Hey Leo !" Sarah looked at Morgan with a grin. "Let´s race. But don´t lose or you have to duel him !"
"Hey ! That´s not fair !" Morga shouted and laughed before trying to catch up.
Sarah was getting closer to the exit. However, her friend didn´t seemed to look happy... he more looked kinda worried. And Morgan noticed that.
"Sarah ! Be carefull ! The corridor is rigged !" The boy shouted but Sarah didn´t listen.
("What ?") Morgan thought before a red information from the headset suddenly popped up in the top right corner of her sight. The Fatal Scythe
Morgan gritted her teeth before running faster. "Look out !" Morgan pushed Sarah to the left, and a second later a large black scythe came out of the shadows and hit the ground next to the girls. Sarah was frozen stiff due to the shock but Morgan managed to see how a black shadow pulled the scythe out of the ground before quickly vanishing behind a pillar.
Both girls got up with Morgan standing in front of Sarah. "What the hell was that ?!" Sarah asked, still a bit shocked.
"Look up." Morgan only said and Sarah let her sight wander to the ceiling. Her eyes widened at what she saw. Floating above them was a large skeleton that wore a black cloak with shredded ends. It had blood red eyes and in its right hand it holds a large scythe.
"What is that ?" Sarah asked.
"I guess that is one of those hidden monsters Nico Smiley talked about." Morgan said. "You can battle it to gain a point card."
"I better prefer not to fight it." Sarah said before running to the exit. She turned around and saw that Morgan didn´t follow. "Morgan ?"
Morgan shook her head. "Thanks for showing me the way, Sarah, but now it´s time to part ways."
"What are you going to do ?" Sarah asked. Morgan turned around and grinned. "I´m going to get me that point card."
Sarah looked surprised but something in Morgan´s voice told her it would be fine. She smiled. "Okay. I wish you good luck." Morgan smiled and nodded and Sarah and her friend left the scene.
Morgan´s gaze was focused on the monster as more informations came into her sight. "The Fatal Scythe is a level eight Dark attribute with 2500 attack and 1100 defence points. Okay, in that case..." She said out loud before something caught her attention. The top card of her deck was slightly glowing. She took the card and it was non other then her Lightning Mage. Morgan smiled. "Seems like we have the same thing in mind." She played the card on her Duel Disk and Lightning Mage appeared in front of her.
Same time in the stadium
"Look at this, dear audience !" Nico yelled into his microphone and pointed to the holografic screen that showed several points in the ruins area. One of the pictures changed to showing Morgan going up against the skelleton monster. "Morgan Reigns from the You Show Duel School is going to face a hidden Duel monster for its point card ! She is the very first one to try this new addition out. Let´s see if her duel-style is going to get her a win !"
Some part of the crowd started to cheer in excitment.
Back to the Ruins Area
Lightning Mage lifted her sword up a bit and at that moment, the walls and pillars begun to light up in a blue and purple light. Morgan kept her eyes on both monsters as something surprising caught her attention. Both monsters had a green bar besides them and their names were on top of the bar.
("A hit-point bar ? Does that mean I have to fight it like in a video game ?" ) Morgan thought with confusion.
The next moment, the skeleton swung his scythe down. Both Morgan and Lightning Mage jumped to the side and the scythe slid along the wall, leaving a large and deep cut in the stone. This happened a few times. The skeleton swung his scythe down again and again, and Morgan and her warrior jumped away every time so that the scythe always hit the walls or pillars. ("I guess if I want to win then I have to reduce its hit-point bar to zero.") Morgan thought as she dodged another attack.
The Fatal Scythe then aimed its weapon once more at Morgan which caught her off guard and so she hadn´t the time to dodge it. Lightning Mage appeared before her just in time and caught the scythe with her sword. She then used her sword to throw the scythe to the side, creating an open point for her to strike. She jumped forward and the yellow energy blade sliced along the skeleton´s body, leaving a red glowing cut.
Morgan saw that the monster´s hit-point bar decraced by twenty percent. "That´s not much damage even though it was a direct hit." She scanned through the monster´s data once more. "Maybe because their attack points are equal..."
("In that case I need to find a way to increase Lightning Mage´s attack.") As if the skeleton could read her mind it flew over to a pillar and grabbed an Action Card.
"What ? It went for an Action Card ?!" Morgan said shocked. The Action Card glowed as then did the skeleton. Morgan looked at the screen of her Duel Disk. "It used the Action Card Flame Surge to power up 300 points."
The skeleton swung his scythe down faster then the times before and it hit Lightning Mage and send her crashing into the wall. "Lightning Mage !" Morgan shouted as she run over to her monster. To her relief, Lightning Mage already stood back up, but her hit-point bar decrased quit a lot.
"It dealt more then the doubled damage Lightning Mage dealt before." Morgan gritted her teeth. "I need to find an Action Card as well." She turned to her warrior. "Lightning Mage, try to hold him of for a bit." She said. The female warrior nodded and went back into battle. She and the skeleton let their weapons collide again and again and the clashing sound could be heard through the whole tunnel. It didn´t took Morgan long to find an Action Card, but the one she found couldn´t help her. She looked around once more and saw one behind a torch. She quickly run over to the torch and grabbed the card, but to her disapointment, this one couldn´t help her either as it was Illusion Dance, an Action Card that switches position. Morgan looked over to her Lightning Mage and could see how her HP already reached the orange thirty-five percent.
Morgan gritted her teeth before looking around the tunnel once more. She saw one more Action Card which was stuck in the ceiling. ("All good things come in threes.") She thought before turning to her warrior. Lightning Mage´s HP were now in the red area. Morgan then started to climb up one of the pillars, sometimes slipping and almost falling back down since it was hard to have a good grip on the pillar. Once she reached the top, she slowly turned around so that her hands and foot now pressed against the pillar.
Morgan smiled and then used the pillar as a bounce aid to make a jump towards the card. She grabbed it and made a somersault in the air before landing on the ground. Lightning Mage saw this and blocked one more attack before moving back to Morgan.
Morgan then played the Action Card onto her Duel Disk. "Time to send this skeleton back to were it blongs. I use the Action Spell Attack Evolution to reduce The Fatal Scyth´s attack to zero and double Lightning Mage´s attack." The energy sword started to glow in a bright yellow light and at the same time the skeleton shrunk in size.
Morgan looked at her warrior with a smile. "Show that skeleton who´s the stronger one."
Lightning Mage nodded and flew up. The skeleton was dazed, it´s eyes spinning as Lightning Mage lifted up her sword. She moved her hand around in a complete 360 degree turn before she leaps forward and slashes the sword down into the reaper. The sword meet the handle of the scythe first. After a moment, the weapon broke into two and the yellow sword cut through the rest of the monster with ease. The skeleton roared before it exploded into hundreds of glowing pixels. The word "Congratulation" then appeared in the air and the tunnel returned to normal. A small glowing card then appeared in the air before it flew down to Morgan.
Morgan grabbed the card and the light faded showing it was a point card with twelve points. "That fight was really worth it." She said before turning to her warrior with a smile. "Thanks Lightning Mage. Now take a rest." The female warrior had a small smile on her face. She nodded and disappeared. Morgan then walked out of the tunnel and saw that she was in the middle of ruins of an old city.
("This headset and the addition of fighting Duel monsters like this is really cool. I definitely look forward to the day it´s going to be completly devolped.") Morgan thought. A few seconds later, a message then appeared from the headset. It says : All competitors may return to the stadium within the next hour for the night-break.
Morgan sighed. "I actually wanted to duel a bit more. Oh well. Tomorrow is also a day."
Twenty minutes later, Morgan returned to the entrance which leads in and out of the stadium. Standing there were workers from the stadium. They were colecting the headsets and point cards.
"Thank you. The score of your gathered point cards will be saved on your ID. I wish you good luck should you be able to reach the next round." A worker said while taking the headset and point cards from Morgan.
Morgan then walked into the stadium and looked around. Among the competitors who have already returned, she quickly spotted her friends and walked over to them. "Hey guys. How did it go ?"
"Pretty good. By all of us." Stacey said.
"If tomorrow gets as good as today then we all should reach the next round easily." Brody said.
Lynn then looked around and saw something surprising. "Hey. Isn´t that Emma ?" Brody, Stacey and Morgan turned into the direction Lynn was pointing and saw Emma walking towards them. "Hey sis. What are you doing down here on the field ?" Brody asked.
Emma sighed. "Something happened." She said and the tone in her voice made the teens get worried.
A few minutes later and the four friends were running down a hallway inside the stadium. They then stopped at the infirmary and didn´t waste any time to get inside. There they saw Ethan laying on one of the beds with a plaster cast around his right arm, and a needle sticking into his left shoulder which was attached to a tube with a painkilller liquid flowing through. "Hey man. What happened to you ?" Brody asked as he and the girls walked over to their friend.
Ethan looked disappointed as he answered. "Akio. He challenged me to a Duel and won. The attacks of his monsters were brutal." He then looked up at Morgan with a serious expression. "This is meant as a message for you."
Morgan narrowed her eyes. "What message ?"
"That you´ll be the next one he crushes." Ethan replied, causing Morgan to ball her right fist in anger. "He´s after you." Brody said, looking at his best friend.
"Well, let him." Morgan replied firmly.
"I´m mostly out of the championship." Ethan then said, pointing to his broken arm. "What about you guys ?"
"We all have good scores. Tomorrow will decide it." Lynn said.
"Guess I´ll be cheering you four on together with Emma." Ethan said, now with a small smile.
Morgan gave him a sad expression. "I´m sorry you got dragged into my conflict with him."
"It´s okay. It´s not your fault that he is an idiot." Ethan said, reasuring her.
"Alright, everyone. Ethan needs to get home and get some rest, and the same is with you four. It were ten long hours full of challenges." Emma said, walking up to her students. "So let´s get going."
Paradise City, Stadium, the next day at 10am
Emma and Ethan were sitting high up in the stands while the rest of You Show along with all the other competitors of the Junior Youth Class were standing on the stadium´s field and listening to Nico Smiley.
"Welcome back everyone to the second day of the first round of the Arc-League Championship. Yesterday we were able to witness a lot of amazing and exciting Duels, and today we expect nothing less. 2000 point cards were once gain distributed on the Action Field, giving all competitors the chance to increase their respictive scores from yesterday. The Duelists have eight hours to show us their skills once more in this Battle Royal. The best 32 with the highest scores will advance to the next round. I wish all Duelists the best of luck."
As Nico finished speaking, a part of the spectators section got lifted up, opening the way out to the giant Action Field, Wonder Quartet.
"Alright. Let´s give it our best again today." Morgan said with a smile and her friends nodded. Soon after, the time showed 10am and all Duelists raced out onto the Action Field.
Harper Futursitics, Center Court, in the afternoon
It was the last Duel of the first round for the Senior Class. Battling on an Action Field which looks like a western town were Avery, a very strong student from Harper Futuristics, and a boy from the Ryozanpaku Duel School, a school which uses martial arts.
Avery´s ace monster, a humaniod warrior in grey armour and with a green cape and glowing red eyes, then charged towards the boy, obviously a direct attack, which also succeeded, ending the Duel.
"And that´s it ! Avery gets her second win, advancing to the next round which will take place at the main stadium of Paradise City. With this, the first round for the Senior class is over. I wish the remaining 16 competitors the best of luck for their next Duels." A reporter said and the audience then begun cheering.
Avery looked on with a confident body language as her monster and the Action Field disappeared. She then smiled and looked up into the sky. ("Make sure you reach the next round as well. I´m looking forward to battle you again, Morgan.")
Inside the stadium, the late afternoon
The sun slowly started to set. The end of the Battle Royal was only one hour and twenty minutes away. A lot of Duelists have already returned to the stadium and were now waiting for the rest of the competitors to return as well.
During the last hours, Morgan and the others did had a couple of Duels were a few even ended in a draw. But they didn´t lose a single Duel which made them really happy and even become a high name in the tournament. They also came across several hidden monsters which earned them quit a lot of point cards.
Action Field "Wonder Quartet", Jungle Area
Morgan was on her way back to the stadium. As she was walking through the jungle, she heard an explosion nearby. Deciding to check it out, Morgan followed the sound of the explosion until she reached a clearing. There she saw a Duel going on between two boys. One controlled a giant stone golem whilst the other one... controlled an just all to familiar red Dragon with different colored eyes. Morgan smiled before leaning against a tree and watching the Duel.
"Odd-Eyes ! Finish this with Spiral Flame Strike !" Brody yelled and his Dragon jumped into the air and unleashed a dark beam from his mouth. The beam hit the golem and made it explode.
Opponent LP 1000-0 / Brody WIN
The boy thanked Brody for a good Duel and gave away two point cards. He then left and Brody put the cards into his pocket. He then noticed Morgan watching him and went over to her. "Hey. How long have you been watching ?"
"Just when you comanded your last attack." Morgan replied. "I´m heading back to the stadium. Wanna go too ? Or do you want to stay a bit longer ?"
"No, I think I go too. I doubt that there are many Duelists still here anymore. Most of them have propably returned to the stadium by now." Brody said. Morgan agreed and they both made their way back to the stadium.
A few minutes later and they reached the entrance which leads in and out of the stadium. "Thank you. The results will be released once every competitor returned to the stadium. Until then we ask for some patience." A worker said while taking the headsets and point cards from Morgan and Brody. Both teens nodded before entering the stadium. There they saw numerous Duelists gathered on several seats on the sidelines. Brody and Morgan looked up to the stands and waved to Ethan and Emma who waved back. They then sat down on a bench, showing of their exhaustion after spending eight whole hours out on the Action Field. Shortly after they were joined by Stacey who was also quite exhausted.
"I hope Lynn makes it in time. There is not even a hour left." Brody said as he looked at the screen that showed the time.
"50 minutes are more then enough. She´ll be fine." Morgan replied.
Action Field "Wonder Quartet", Lava Area
Lynn was following a lava stream that flows through an open field in the lava area. She then stopped and looked at the time. "I think it´s best to go to the stadium now." She was about to go but suddenly, a katana sword hit the ground right before her feet, blocking her way. Lynn jumped back. "What the heck ?! Where did that come from ?!"
She heard someone laughing and turned around. Standing there was a boy around her age with long spiky brown hair and amber eyes. He wears a dark blue long-sleeved shirt and pants under a tan jacket with an orange interior and the sleeves torn of, and grey shoes.
"Who are you ?!" Lynn asked. The boy still laughed. "I´m Kit Blade, one of the few real top students of Harper Futuristics. And I´m here to challenge you to a Duel !"
Same time in the stadium
"Oh look, everyone ! It seems like we may witness one more Duel in this Battle Royal !" Nico Smiley yelled with a smile and pointed to the screen that showed the lava area. The image showed Lynn and Kit.
"But... that´s Lynn !" Brody said, a bit shocked that Lynn would actually Duel with such little tie left. "Calm down. I´m sure she knows what she is doing." Morgan said before looking at the screen. ("But I still have a bad feeling somehow. Be carefull, Lynn.")
Back in the lava area
"And why should I accept your challenge ?" Lynn asked.
"Becuase if you´re not a coward like all the others from your school, then you accept my challenge and set all your point cards." Kit said with a smirk.
"First of all, my friends are not cowards ! And second, I refuse your challenge. I´m not risking the chance to reach the next round by setting all my point cards !" Lynn said firm before turning in attempt to leave.
Kit´s smirk never left his face. "Fine. Then be a coward and go. But I can´t guarantee that my two friends, which are waiting up for you a bit ahead, will ask you as friendly as I did."
"He is threatening her. That´s unfair !" Brody growled with anger.
"So tipical for Duelists from Harper Futuristics." Morgan replied, also quite angry.
Lynn gritted her teeth and clenched her fists. She turned back to face Kit. "Fine. You got your Duel. And you will regret it." She pulled out her point cards and held them up. "I have nineteen point cards."
Kit held up his bunch of cards. "I have twenty-two. It´s all or nothing !"
Kit and Lynn held up their activated Duel Disks. "Duel !" Both yelled.
Turn 1 Kit LP 4000 Hand 5 / Lynn LP 4000 Hand 5
"I shall start." Kit yelled. "I normal summon XX-Saber Boggrat Knight !" A beast in silver armour came to the field. He swung a thin sword around.

"Next I use his effect ! Once normal summoned I can bring out another X-Saber from my hand ! Appear XX-Saber Fulhelmknight !" A long blonde haired male in a ornage like ninja suit with a long red cape came to the field.

"A Tuner monster. That means..." Stacey said.
"He can Synchro Summon !" Brody said. The whole stadium was watching the Duel with tension.
"So you can Synchro Summon." Lynn said.
"Yes I can. And I know that you can as well. What a shame that you waste it in such a joke of a Duel School." Kit replied with a grin. ( Inside the stadium, Morgan and Brody were looking furious at that words. ).
Lynn stepped forward at this. "Watch what you´re saying !"
Kit looked surprised. "You´re not even from this city, aren´t you ? Why should you care ?"
"Because were I come from... kind people were rare in numbers. I´m still learning to trust these guys but they have been very kind so far. And I know good people when I see them." Lynn replied firmly.
"Whatever !" Replied Kit. "You should know what is coming ! I tune level three Fulhelmknight with level four Boggrat !" Both monsters flew into the air as Fulhelmknight turned into three green rings. Boggrat went through the rings and became four white orbs. ( 3+4 = 7 )
"Wilder of crossed blades of light, trample over this mountain of corpes ! Synchro Summon ! Come forth ! Level seven ! X-Saber Souza !" A large bulky male in knight armor came onto the field. It made a X-shape with his two swords. He had a battered and torn red cape.

"Not bad. You can Synchro Summon well." Lynn said.
Kit smirked back. "Flattery will get you nowhere. I set a card and end my turn."
Turn 2 Lynn LP 4000 Hand 5 / Kit LP 4000 Hand 2
"Who said anything about flattery." Said Lynn with counter smirk. "Draw ! Appear Ice Bell !" A female with purple hair and who wore a white outfit with a wand appeared. She sat on a blue broom.

"You take 500 point of damage when she is summoned !" Ice Bell flew into the air and launched her wand forward towards Kit. A beam was created and hit Kit head on. He gritted his teeth. Kit LP 4000 (-500) 3500
"Next I play the Spell, Windwave Tuning ! I can special summon a Windwitch monster from my deck by reducing its level by one. Then I can change it into a Tuner !" A card popped out of Lynn´s deck and she grabbed it. "I special summon my Windwitch-Polar Fox !" A white fox wearing a purple witch hat appeared and landed on Ice-Bell´s shoulder.

Lynn smiled and snapped her fingers. Windwitch-Polar Fox /Tuner/Lv. 3
"I tune Ice Bell with Polar Fox !" Both monsters flew into the air and the same Synchro Summoning pattern occured. ( 3+3 = 6 )
"Appear before me ! Windwitch-Fire Bell !" A beam of fire came flying down from the half darkened sky and a witch with long yellow hair and blue eyes appeared. She sits on a dark red broom and wears a red witch hat and dress.

The Windwitch looked at Lynn and Lynn nodded. Fire Bell then flew around the field before landing next to her master. Lynn grabbed onto the red broom and swung herself up onto it so that she was now sitting behind her witch.
"Well... it seems like another innocent Duelist is about to lose his pride to this pathetic excuse of a Dueling style. Thinking of your monsters as real beings and friends... wanting to make others happy and smile... how stupid. Dueling is a contest of power." Kit said.
"I don´t need to know what you think about this style. The only thing that matters is how I think about it ! And I like it !" Lynn declares before pointing at Kit. "Now Fire Bell´s effect kicks in ! When she is Synchro Summoned then you take effect damage equal to the combined attack of all the monsters I used to Synchro Summon her ! Now take 2600 points of damage !" Fire Bell and Lynn flew into the air and shards of fire begun flying at Kit. Several different shards hit him one by one and formed a dust cloud.

Lynn looked on as the dust cloud slowly faded. She then saw Kit holding an Action Card in his hand. "Not bad. But now I can play the Action Card, Sword Slash ! I can reduce your monster´s attack by half !" Windwitch-Fire Bell ATK/1050
"Fine. I set a card and end my turn." Lynn said and then narrowed her eyes a bit. ("Those Action Cards... I need to grab one too.") She thought.
TURN 3 Kit LP 900 Hand 2 / Lynn LP 4000 Hand 3
"I draw !" Kit yelled. "I summon my second XX-Saber Fulhelmknight !" The same Tuner monster as before appeared.

"Now since I control two X-Saber monsters, then XX-Saber Faultroll can be special summoned from my hand !" A bulky male with a large silver sword and who wore red armour was summoned.
XX-Saber Faultroll ATK/2400 DEF/1800 Earth/Warrior/Effect/Lv. 6
"Level six ? So you´re going to Synchro Summon once more ?" Lynn said.
"You´re correct, but first Faultroll´s effect ! I can bring back a level four or below X-Saber from my graveyard ! Return my first XX-Saber Fulhelmknight !"
"He is summoning so many different monsters." Morgan said, watching the Duel from the stadium.
"Let´s hope Lynn is prepared to use an Action Card." Brody replied.
"I now tune my Faultroll with Fulhelmknight !" Kit yelled and both monsters performed the Synchro Summon. ( 6+3 = 9 )
"Let your silver armour shine and crash the hope of everything that opposes you ! Synchro Summon ! Appear ! Level nine ! Double-X-Saber Gottoms !" A large knight with the largest sword of all his X-Saber monsters came. He had silver and darkish yellow armour and a mighty red cape.
XX-Saber Gottoms ATK/3100 DEF/2600 Earth/Warrior/Synchro/Lv. 9
"Amazing." Said Lynn in an awed tone.
"Knew I would impress you." Kit said with a smirk. "Now attack XX-Saber Fulhelmknight !"
Fulhelmknight launched into the air and then down towards Fire Bell with his sword. Kit then hit a button on his touch screen. "I now play the Trap, At One with the Sword ! This card increases Fulhelmknight´s attack by 900 !" Fulhelmknight gained a new sword as he came attacking.
XX-Saber Fulhelmknight ATK/2200
"Now attack !" Kit yelled and his monster slashed Fire Bell in half. Lynn landed hard on her back and groaned. Lynn LP 4000 (-100) 3900
"Since I used At One with the Sword and my monster destroyed your monster, I can draw a card." Kit drew the card and then extended his hand forward. "Now Gottoms, win this !" Gottem´s came charging forward at extreme speed right towards Lynn.
("Come on... do something, Lynn !") Morgan thought. Lynn got back onto her feet and looked prepared. "I play the Trap Defence Draw !" She said and a Trap card appeared in front of her. "Damage from this battle is reduced to zero and then I draw a card !" Gottoms continued forward and hit Lynn who went flying back. She rolled along the ground before coming to a stop a few feet away.
Kit was annoyed as Lynn got back up and drew a card. "Fine. Attack, Souza !" He yelled and his third monster charged forward.
"Lynn ! Action Card !" Morgan yelled, and as if she heard her, Lynn started to look around. She saw one but was to slow to reach it, as the very same moment Souza slashed her across the chest which sent Lynn flying backwards once more. Lynn LP 3900 (-2500) 400
Lynn got back up but cringed a bit as she started to feel the real pain from the Real Solid Vision.
"I set a card and end my turn." Kit said and smirked again. "Give up. Your point cards are going to be mine !"
TURN 4 Lynn LP 400 Hand 4 / Kit LP 900 Hand 1
"I don´t think so ! Draw !" Lynn looked at the now five cards in her hand. "I normal summon the Tuner monster Windwitch-Glass Bell !" A girl with green hair, wearing a dark blue witch hat, a light purple outfit and is sitting on a blue broom with a yellow bell at the end appeared.

Lynn played a Spell card next. "I play Monster Reborn to return my Ice Bell !" Ice Bell appeared next to Glass Bell and pointed her wand at Kit. "And since she is summoned, you take another 500 points of damage !"
Kit gritted his teeth as he felt the pain from the ice-blast. Kit LP 900 (-500) 400
"Fine ! But how are you going to get past my monsters ?!" Kit responded.
"I was raised by a Common. I know how to cope when the going gets though !" Lynn replied and raised her hand into the air. "Now I tune my level four Glass Bell with my level three Ice Bell !" Glass Bell flew into the air first and became green rings. Ice Bell then flew through the rings and turned into white orbs. A blue light flashed through.
( 4+3 = 7 )
"Fast as the midwinter wind. Make snow and ice become power to your beautiful fighting skills ! Synchro Summon ! Appear ! Level seven ! Yin-Yang Windwitch Girl !" Appearing before Lynn was a girl with long brown hair which is bond into pigtails with two white ribbons and red eyes. She wears a long sleeved red fighting-style kimono top, a short red skirt and long white boots.
Yin-Yang Windwitch Girl ATK/2500 DEF/2000 Wind/Spellcaster/Synchro/Lv. 7
"I use my Windwitch Girl´s effect ! I target a Windwitch monster in my graveyard and then you take damage equal to that target´s level X200 ! I target Windwitch Fire Bell which is level six. That means 1200 damage for you ! You lose !"
"Not happening ! By sending XX-Saber Ragigura from my hand to the graveyard, I can negate the damage !" Kit yelled, sending the monster to the graveyard.
"Not bad. But there is still one more thing I can do. I can banish Polar Fox from my graveyard and so switch all monsters you control to defence mode !" Lynn said.
Kit gritted his teeth. "The card you gained thanks to Windwave Tuning..." Each X-Saber kneeled down to show their swapped positions. However, Kit only grinned. "I play the continuous Trap, Synchro Savior ! Now as long as I control a Synchro monster, I take no damage !"
"What ?!" Lynn said.
"Surrender yet ?!" Kit said with a grin.
"Never !" Lynn could see an Action Card in the distance and knew what she had to do. "Windwitch Girl, I need your help to get to that Action Card." Windwitch Girl nodded and kneeled down onto one knee and signaled for Lynn to climb onto her back. Lynn did and hold on tight onto her monster´s shoulder. Windwitch Girl then jumped forward and flew towards the card at great speed, and Lynn liked that.
"This is fun. Riding a Duel Runner is amazing, but riding a monster isn´t bad either !"
"Damnit ! I can´t let her get it !" Yelled Kit as he went chasing after the same Action Card, but Lynn had got to it first. She jumped off her monster to grab it. "Well isn´t this cool ! I play the Action Card, Sword Fall ! This destroyes all monsters who are in a different position to one monster I control ! Since Windwitch Girl is in attack mode then your defence mode monsters are gone !"
Kit stopped and looked above. Swords came flying from the sky towards his monsters at a fast pace. Each sword stabbed one of the three X-Saber monsters, destroying one by one. "Damn you !" Kit yelled.
"I told you that you would regret this Duel." Lynn replied firmly. "Now take this ! Attack directly, Windwitch Girl !" Lynn´s ace shot forward and kicked Kit at full speed. The attack sent the male flying and rolling along the ground.
Kit LP 400-0 / Lynn WIN
Doing the rolling, Kit´s point cards feel out of his pocket and scattered on the ground. Lynn went over and picked them all up. She then turned around and started to walk of.
"Wait a moment." Kit said and Lynn turned back to look at him. He slowly stood up and then pulled a card out of his deck. He threw the card over to Lynn and she caught it. It was the Spell card Synchro Savior. "Why do you give it to me ?" Lynn asked and Kit looked to the side.
"Hmpf. Maybe your friends and school... aren´t that pathetic as I thought." He said before leaving. Lynn looked after him with a small smile.
One hour later inside the stadium
The Battle Royale has finally ended and all the Junior Youth class Duelists that are competeting have gathered on the stadium´s field and are waiting for the results. Emma and Ethan have joined their friends on the field.
"You were amazing, Lynn." Morgan said with a smile.
"Thanks." Lynn returned the smile.
"I bet with this win you kicked yourself up to one of the highest places by the end results. Nice work." Brody said with a grin.
Emma looked at Lynn. "I agree with Morgan and Brody. You did well. But it was risky as well. Don´t grow to much confident."
"Come on, Emma. She won. Leave it at this." Morgan said, not liking her friend´s scolding, even though she knows that Emma only means it good.
"You didn´t let me finish, Morgan." Emmma said before smiling at Lynn. "It definitely was not the most greatest idea, but considering the situation you were in, it is understandable. And you defended Morgan and the others as well as our school, and therefore I want to thank you."
"No need to thank me." Lynn replied, still smiling. "You all have been so kind to me since I came into this city, it was the least I could do."
A little while later, Nico Smiley walked up onto the stage and looked at the Duelists and the audience in the stands. "Dear Spectators and Duelists, we apologize for the long wait. The results of the Battle Royal are finally here !"
The whole stadium started to cheer slightly.
"During the last two days, our Duelists have shown us amazing Duels, great teamwork and strong endurance. But only the best 32 were able to reach the next round !" Nico then pointed his right hand to the large stadium screen. "Therefore lets not waste any time and take a look at the Duelists that reached the next round. Here they are !" He snapped his fingers and the screen then started to list of the names.
The first names belonged to strong Duelists from the most popular Duel Schools from around the world, however, among them was also Lynn who earned herself a quite high end-score thanks to her win against Kit. Her end score was by 257 points.
Morgan and Brody were somewhere in the middle with end-scores of 219 points and 205 points.
Stacey then also saw her name appear. She was among the last seven who were able to reach the next round. Her end-score was 138 points. She sighed in both relief and disappointment. "I´m among the last ones who made it. That hurts a bit."
Morgan placed her hand on Stacey´s shoulder. "Don´t feel down. The scores won´t matter for the next rounds anyway. Important is that you made it to the next round." She smiled and this made Stacey smile as well. "Yeah, you´re right. Thanks, Morgan."
Nico Smiley then spoke again. "The next round will start tomorrow at 10am. All of you, rest well. The next round will be even harder then everything you ever did !" After Nico finished, the stadium slowly started to empty.
Emma then clapped her hands together and smiled. "Okay. How about we head to the beach to celebrate reaching the next round ?"
"Or are you four to tired ?" Ethan asked with smirk.
"As if !" Brody, Morgan, Stacey and Lynn shouted back with a smile. They then run of towards the stadium´s exit. Ethan and Emma smiled and followed... in a slower pace.
Kamiya Apartment, 9pm
Emma was out on the balcony while Brody, Lynn and Morgan were tight asleep on the couch.
("They really give everything they have. I´m very proud of them.") Emma thought to herself, watching the teens with a smile. She then pulled out her smartphone and looked at some pictures. One was were they were younger. She and Junior were smiling and hugging each other while little Morgan and Brody each gave peas-sings to the camera.
("They have grown fast. When me and Junior found them they were so small. It´s almost hard to beleive that we have them since fifteen years now. They are slowly but surely going their own ways. However...") Emma looked back up at the sleeping teens. ("Something tells me that an even bigger challenge awaits them once the Arc-League is over. I just hope that they will never forget to always believe in each other.")
