[Valentine's Day: Mystic Falls Grille]

Bella sat down at the table. She just left school and didn't have anything that required her to stay late. She was staying busy with painting, and some pencil drawings for a few people that requested them. They were commissions that she enjoyed doing. Her and Klaus hadn't been intimate since New Year's Eve. She stayed too busy. Elena was starting to worry about her with how much she was putting into her art.

Damon walked in, smiling with Mary. He spotted Bella. "Oh, hey Bells." He said and walked over with Mary.

Bella looked up, smiling. "Oh, hey guys. Hey Mary, how's the kiddos?"

"Great. Annabeth and Lola are at ballet right now, and Sharon has Matthew while I work." She commented.

"She's working part time in the office for me until I can hire a fulltime replacement," Damon explained.

Bella nodded. "Oh awesome. How's the puppy?"

"Domino? She's great. Chews a lot, but Jeremy brought a bunch more toys for her yesterday." She said, the white and black spotted puppy that 'Santa' brought the kids was part Dalmatian and part husky. She had blue eyes and was like a fluffy Dalmatian and unique. Her phone rang and she answered. "Hey Sharon." She said and then frowned. "Did you give him Tylenol?" She paused and then sighed. "Okay, I'll come pick him up. Can you call Dr. Cullen? Tell her I'm bringing him in to get looked at." She said and then hung up and looked at Damon. "Matthew's spiked a high fever. I'll see you both later," she said and hurried out of the Grille out to her SUV.

Bella frowned. "I hope everything is okay. Esme finally opened the pediatric office in Fell's Church?"

Damon nodded, taking a seat in front of her, unbuttoning his suit jacket. "I have court in the morning and need to be looking over the case files."

"Why aren't you?" She asked, and then smiled at Matt. "Burger, fries and coke."

Damon held up a hand. "Me too," he said, and Matt smiled and disappeared to put the order in. "Matthew will be fine right? It's just a fever."

"I'm sure. Babies get fevers. If it's really high, it's possible it's an ear infection. He had one right after Christmas. That's probably why she's taking him in so soon." Bella said.

"If it's another ear infection, they'll have to put tubes in his ears." He sighed.

Bella raised a brow. "You're really attached to these kids, aren't you? I mean I'm attached to them for obvious reasons, but you?"

Damon cleared his throat. "They're kids. They don't…they don't deserve to be sick."

"Kids get sick Damon," She said with a half laugh. "You like Mary."

Damon was quiet. "She's 30. I'm 24. She doesn't want to be with a kid."

"You're far from a kid," she pointed out. Matt returned with their drinks and then shortly after, the food came out.

"Yeah, but I'm younger than she is. Her husband died a year ago. I don't want to make it weird for her," he waved it off and picked up his burger and took a bite.

Bella threw a fry at him, grinning. "Talk to her. I bet you she likes you too. I see how she looks at you."

"Did you just throw a fry at me?"

"No."

"No, you threw a fry at me. Little girl, you need to respect your elders."

"But you said you were a kid." She laughed when he threw a fry at her, smiling wide.

Klaus found Bella at the Grille, laughing, and throwing fries at Damon. He approached the table, raising a brow, his hand in his pocket, ignoring the jealous feeling in his stomach. "Food wars?"

Bella smiled up at Klaus, scooting over for him to sit down. "No. Damon thinks he's a child." She teased.

"If he's a child, then I'm a baby."

Damon snorted. "In comparison to Mary, I'm a child."

"Ohhh," Klaus understood now, and smiled. "Mary is fantastic. Best accountant I've ever met."

"She is." Damon nodded his agreement, picking up a fry and eating it.

Klaus reached over and snagged a fry off Damon's plate and ate it. When Damon raised his brow at him. Klaus smiled. "Have you tried stealing food from Bella?"

Bella rolled her eyes, smiling. "I think he should ask her out."

"Ah you're serious mate. You like Mary?" Klaus said, nodding.

"Well…I do, but…"

"Stop making excuses. The kids love you already." Bella pointed out.

Damon sighed. "Maybe."

"It is Valentine's day." Klaus pointed out.

"It is Valentine's day!" Bella beamed and then frowned, looking at Klaus. "I literally forgot that it was today."

Klaus chuckled. "Don't worry love, I have a lot planned later."

Damon finished his burger, and then stood, taking out his wallet.

Bella waved a hand. "I got it this time. Go on, go check on Matthew and Mary." She smiled.

Damon grinned and then leaned across the table, kissing the top of her head. "You're funny. But thank you. I might just do that." He said with a wide grin. He left Bella and Klaus there.

Klaus looked at Bella. "So, Mary huh?"

"Yup. He's been ogling her for a few weeks now. She's 30, that's still young. He's only 6 years younger than she is. That really isn't that bad of an age gap." She said and then took money out of her wallet and put it on the table and then patted Klaus' arm to let her out.

"It's not. Sage and Finn are ten years apart," he said, and stood. He grabbed her hand, and then they left the Grille.

"Where's your car?" She asked.

He smiled. "Elijah dropped me off." He said and got into Bella's Jeep on the driver's side. She tossed him the keys and got in the passenger side.

They drove towards her house.

[The Swan Residence]

Bella went into her art stupid and flipped on the light. There were a few pieces she was still in the process of working on. The painting that she was working on for the gallery showing in two weeks was nearly finished.

Klaus studied it. "This is…exquisite." He said, following her lines and colors. "Bella, you're honestly the best painter I know. You're better than I am."

Bella laughed a little. "I am not better than you. I'm no where close."

"I beg to differ," he smiled, and then walked over to her, and leaned in, kissing her softly.

Bella parted her lips, letting his tongue slid against hers with ease. Her eyes fluttered close and she wrapped her arms around him, his own arms wrapping around her as well, as he kissed her, drawing it out, slowly. When she wanted to make the kiss more urgent, he slowed her down again. His hands went to her hips, gripping her there lightly, before he slid a hand down, rubbing her hot core through her jeans, collecting a moan from her as he did so. He smiled against her lips. That was good sign. It had been six weeks since they were intimate like this, and he blamed himself. Hayley showing up set them back.

He kissed her lightly again, and then took a step back. "Hmm. Later my love." He said.

She sighed, a little frustrated, but he was right. This was her art studio. She heard the front door open quickly and then close hard. Bella frowned and then walked out of her studio and found Elena, pacing like a mad woman. "Elena? What's wrong."

"I fucked up."

"Fucked up what?"

"I fucked up."

"Ohh. That sort of fucked up?" Bella inquired.

Klaus raised a brow and Elena looked at Klaus and groaned. "My apologies. My presence is not necessary right now. I'll be up in your room love," he said and kissed Bella's cheek and jogged up the stairs to her bedroom.

Bella sighed. "How bad?"

"Really bad," Elena said, her face looking terrified, and frantic.

"Is it reversible?" Bella asked.

Elena shook her head, running her fingers through her hair. "Oh, this is really bad Bella. I…"

"Well if you started with, when it happened?"

"New years. Six weeks ago." Elena let out a frustrated sigh.

"And you're just now worried about this fuck up?"

Elena spun, whipping a pink and white pregnancy test from her back pocket, and flung it in her sisters face practically.

Bella took the test and looked at it. "Oh boy."

"Yeah! I fucked up." Elena was exasperated.

"So, I'm assuming that…this isn't Stefan's…"

Elena wanted to cry. "You would assume correctly."

"I thought you were with Stefan all of New Years. I heard…. oh…"

"Stefan had to leave. Something at the auto body shop. Damon has him take care of that sort of stuff. Someone broke in and what not," Elena waved a hand dismissively. "I was drunk. Like really really drunk."

Bella nodded. "Okay, so that's a good excuse, right?"

"No Bella, that's not a good excuse. I wasn't blackout drunk; I was just drunk enough…to do something incredibly stupid."

"Am I going to find out who this mystery guy is?"

Elena groaned and waved her hands like a mad woman. "Kol Mikaelson." She whispered it.

"Kol!" Bella said in a sharp whisper. "Elena you didn't!"

"I did!" She wiped tears off her face. "Stefan and I have been dating for two years Bella. Two years! I love Stefan, he's my world, and I don't know what came over me. I would never have done this sort of thing before. Ugh!"

Bella looked at the test, and then the front door opened, and Jeremy walked in. He stared at Bella, holding a pregnancy test.

"Uhh…Bella?" Jeremy looked confused.

Elena looked at Bella, giving a pleading look.

"Hi Jer. What's up? Any V-day plans?"

Jeremy walked over to her, looking at the test. "Am I going to be an uncle?" He took the test and flipped it around, studying it.

"Well, uh. Maybe? Not set in stone," She gave a nervous laugh.

"I didn't know you and Klaus were….at that level yet. Are you okay?"

Bella nodded, holding her hand in an O.K. symbol. "Peachy."

Jeremy turned and looked at Elena. "You're a girl, you know how these things work." He tossed the test to her.

Elena caught it and looked at it. "Uh yeah, plus sign means positive." She smiled awkwardly.

Jeremy smiled. "Aww. Congrats then?" Then his smile faltered, "Or not? You graduate in three months, so I don't know how you're feeling."

"I'm fine. Thank you," She said and then Jeremy hugged her.

"Well, let me know if you need anything." He said, kissing her cheek and trotting up the stairs.

Bella looked at Elena, her eyes wide, and clearly upset. "What the fuck Elena!?"

"I panicked!"

"I'll say." Bella sighed, brushing her hands through her hair. "Why is this my life?" She groaned.

Klaus came out of Bella's room, running into Jeremy. "Oh, I'm sorry mate."

"Ah, it's good. Oh, congrats by the way."

"Oh?"

"But if you hurt her, or the baby, I'll kill you," Jeremy said with a joking smile, and slapped Klaus' arm and walked down the hall towards his room.

Klaus looked puzzled and looked behind him at Jeremy disappearing into his room. "Baby….?" He turned towards the stairs and trotted down them, finding Bella in the living room pacing with what looked like a pregnancy test in her hand, and Elena was just sitting on the couch.

"Uh, Bella. Is there something I need to know about?" Klaus inquired.

Bella stopped pacing and sighed. "No. Everything is fine. I'm sorry, do I need to go get ready for whatever it is you have planned. "She tried a smile and tucked the test in her back pocket.

Klaus swallowed and nodded. "Uh, we have reservations at six. You have some time."

Bella smiled and walked over to him and kissed him softly. "I'm taking a shower then. Join me?"

Klaus smiled. "Sure." He said and followed her upstairs. He went into her closet and pulled out the dress that he wanted her to wear and hung it on the back of the door. He heard the shower going already. He walked in, taking his shirt off, and looked down in the trash. He leaned down and picked up the test and studied it. He set it back down in the trash before taking his pants off and joining Bella in the Shower.

He slid his arms around her from behind, his hands brushing over her flat stomach, lightly. Bella turned in his arms, and pressed against him, leaning up and kissing him, hungrily.

"I'm sorry I've been…distant. It's been a while for us, and I didn't do it completely on purpose. I just- "

"You don't have to explain it to me love," His voice was soft. She was pregnant, and she was scared. She withdrew from him, probably because she didn't know how he would handle it. He kissed her again, his hands wounding up in her hair as the water pelted their muscles. It was a relief that he hadn't realized he needed. He turned her back to him, and then kissed her neck, then her shoulder. He moved with her, pinning her gently against the wall, as he moved his hands over her slick body. She purred under him, moaning with delight as his fingers found her folds, diving inside, and swirling around, sending thrills through her body.

"Klaus…" she said his name like honey was dripping from her lips. She missed his touch, had needed this for some time, but put it off because of her own insecurities. He was driving her mad, circling his finger over her clit expertly, driving her close to her much-needed orgasm. When it rocked through her body, she moaned, his hands still working against her to draw it out, making her tremor.

He moved, turning her to face him. He dipped his head low, kissing her neck, suckling lightly, his tongue sliding from her corner of her jaw, to the other, and then his mouth was on hers again. Every movement he made was sensual, sexual. His throbbing cock was straining against the inside of her leg now, and she reached down, massaging her hand over him, getting a thrill out of him.

"I want you…" she murmured, her eyes staring into his. She could see the swirl of emotion, the need for her as well, but he hesitated. "I'm okay. You're not going to hurt me." She said, and he moved with her slowly, hoisting her up against the wall, and he entered her slowly, enjoying the way she fit around him like a tight glove. He thrust slow at first, but she drove her hips down on his shaft, and urged him faster. He obeyed, getting lost in her. Her mouth was at his throat now, kissing and suckling as she moaned, his tip hitting her center core, sending her into another orgasm that cascaded over him. She felt him swell harder, and she knew that he was near his end.

She clung around him as he moaned, his hands gripping her butt for stability as he thrust into her faster, driving towards his release, a release he needed and longed for, for six weeks. He groaned as he slipped away from, erupting, his seed splashing against the shower wall. He was panting, trembling as he emptied himself. He rested his head against hers briefly, before letting her slide down, getting her footing.

Towards the end he had been a bit harder with her. She lay her head on his chest, the water rushing over them still. Her breathing was leveling out finally. His hands were gentle as he ran them over her body again, over her stomach and then her hips. "Are you okay?"

"I'm perfect," she smiled, and leaned up and kissed him.

They got out of the shower and got dressed for Klaus' planned night out on Valentine's day.

Bella walked down the stairs, finding Elena dressed in a cute black dress, her makeup light. "Hmm. You and Stefan going out too?"

Elena nodded, looking down. "We are." She sighed. "I'll see you later, and I'm sorry." She murmured and then hugged her sister.

Bella smiled and watched her sister leave to go meet Stefan and then sighed. She would worry about her another night.

Klaus took Bella to a hotel near McKinney. It was beautiful, the crystal fountains, and the led lighting gave the lobby a mystical look. The hotel restaurant was just as gorgeous. Bella was in awe at how beautiful everything was set up. They got to their table and the waiter was there right away to take their order.

"Can you bring me a glass of the finest merlot?"

Bella didn't care for merlot. Wine was one of the few alcohols that she knew the most about. "Do you have a good Chardonnay?

"Oui, we have Chateau Hatu Brion Blanc Pessac, and Prieur Montrachet." The waiter relayed.

"Prieur Montrachet please," She smiled, and then looked at the menu.

Klaus looked at her cautiously. "I didn't know you drink wine."

"Hmm? Yes. We own a vineyard in Spain." Bella said simply. "It was my mom's venue. I've never visited Spain, but we do have a winery here in the States that I have been to. I know a lot about wine." She said, and then looked up at him, and then frowned. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing, I just…it's surprising is all. I figured you wouldn't be drinking."

Bella shrugged. "Sometimes, I get a taste for wine, but it's once in a while. I don't particularly care for alcohol, but wine is my exception." She smiled.

Klaus nodded. She didn't want him to know about it, he wanted her to be able to tell him about things, especially important ones like this. "Bella," he called, and she looked up at him. "You can talk to me about anything and everything, you know, that right?"

Bella nodded. "Of course," she smiled a little. "I know that it's been a rough six weeks, but I'm not…I'm not, not okay.

He looked at her smile, her eyes. She seemed genuine. He smiled back at her. "I love you."

"I love you too," she said, and then the waiter returned with their wine, and took their order. Bella sipped her wine and nodded. It was an exquisite wine.

Bella's phone rang, and she frowned, and pulled it out of her clutch and saw Elena's name. She answered. "Elena? What's wrong?"

"Can you…" Elena sobbed.

"Shhh, calm down, where are you?"

"He left me…" Elena sobbed again.

Bella stood then, Klaus standing with her. "Share your location with me, I'm coming to you." She said and hung up. She looked at Klaus. "I'm so sorry. I know that tonight is-"

"It's fine. Where is she, we'll go pick her up?"

Bella waited for her phone to ding with her location. She picked up her wine glass and drank it down quickly. She walked out of the restaurant towards the lobby, calling Stefan.

Stefan answered. "No Bella, I'm not talking about this."

"Please just think about this."

"I don't have to think Bella, I'm hurt! I can't believe she would do this."

"It was a meaningless night. It was stupid, and it didn't mean anything." Bella tried to reason.

Klaus heard the last part, confused what was going on.

"There's a baby involved now, and this isn't good for it. Please just calm down and listen to reason. Stefan, please!"

Stefan was silent. "She's pregnant?" He hung up.

"Shit, fuck." She cursed and dialed Elena, but she didn't answer. She turned, seeing Klaus.

He looked strange to her, sort of confused.

"Klaus, Elena isn't picking up, and she didn't share her location."

"Bella…" He was trying to piece everything together. He wasn't sure he was hearing everything correctly. "You're…"

Bella blinked at him, then realizing that he might have heard the conversation wrong. "Oh god, no Klaus. Stefan and Elena broke up. She cheated on him on New Year's."

Klaus was still sort of confused. "What does you being pregnant have anything to do with that?"

"What?" Bella's brows furrowed together. "Oh, Klaus, no I'm not pregnant. Elena is."

"But Jeremy…" Klaus was trying to wrap his head around everything that was happening.

"Ugh, Jeremy. He misunderstood what was happening and Elena panicked and made it seem like I was the pregnant one." She was still upset about that.

Klaus shook his head. "Elena is pregnant, and Stefan broke up with her…who was she with on New year's?"

Bella sighed. "Kol. Please, don't say anything to Kol right now. Elena really needs to sort this all out."

Klaus was still trying to wrap his head around everything. "You're not pregnant." He said it as a statement.

"No. I'm not. I would tell you if I were," She said, stepping forward and framing his face with her hands. She saw disappointment in his eyes, and she wasn't sure why he was. "Are you…sad that I'm not?"

"I don't know." He sighed, looking away. "Jeremy just…caught me by surprise is all. Um. Let's go find Elena, bring her home." He said and laced his fingers with hers. They went to her Jeep, and he opened the door for her, and she got in. He walked around the side of the car and got in. He didn't know why he felt disappointed. She still had graduation to get through, she wanted to go to college. This was not the time to think about children. He had never thought about having kids before, so why was he now?
